The first fatal shark attack of the year has been recorded in Mexico after a man diving for mollusks was reportedly killed in a gruesome attack by a great white shark that resulted in the diver being decapitated.

Hinds County, MS is Very liberal. In Hinds County, MS 73.4% of the people voted Democrat in the last presidential election, 25.1% voted for the Republican Party, and the remaining 1.5% voted Independent.

In the last Presidential election, Hinds county remained overwhelmingly Democratic, 73.4% to 25.1%.

19 Willowed: Decades Channel is running a Honey West marathon -- Anne Francis. She was lovely, and projected a palpable intelligence in all her roles too. But the show was only 30 minutes long. Not much time for plot and character development in that space. Though eps I've seen moved fast and did some neat plot switches, like clever short stories. The one I'm looking at has Joe Don Baker, long before Walking Tall.

The irony is that HW laid a blueprint for "strong" women in action-adventure stories -- the sort of thing The Girl From U.N.C.L.E. needed to do the next year, and might have if it hadn't been infected with the "camp" virus.

49 Progressive:
Less emphasis on rights, especially when invoked in defense of business, and stressed collective responsibilities and duties.

While great and lofty these ideas do tend to allow companies with Big Govt friends to become monopolies and conduits for control of the population.

Progressives also call for the reconstruction of American politics so that a more direct link was formed between government officials and public opinion.

This is called Democracy. It ignores the basic Universal Rights of the person and transfer this to the mob. Watch as Progressive comment of things like gas stoves, universal vaccines, mass closings, gun control, and mass transit. Every idea and spoken word either 1)requires more taxes of the citizen or 2) requires the citizen to expend fund with a company or solution demanded by the Democracy.

Progressives want a revamping of governing institutions, so that the power of state legislatures and Congress would be subordinated to an independent executive power—city managers, governors, and a modern presidency—that could truly represent the democratic (popular) interest.

I have a pen and a phone (B Hussein Obama).

56 Energy. Education. Economics. Healthcare. Pick any issue. It's always about someone, somewhere, being happy or successful independent of the cult. That can't be allowed. They don't just want what you have. They want you not to have it. They don't just covet your things. They covet your happiness. Even your mental health. It's a cult that wants to destroy and to dominate. It is, with no embellishment required for full description, evil.

That's why it's so hard to label, or pin down, or to figure out "who is pulling the strings" or whatever. There is no coherent ideology to refute or grapple with. This isn't ism versus ism. It's just shitty, immature brats throwing a tantrum. And you can't reason with a kid having a tantrum.

Hitler was just one of many dictators. The list of tyrants, past and present, continues with the addition of names from around the globe today. These autocrats masquerade as religious leaders or elected officials, grandstanding with worthless “facts” and “solutions” to non-existent problems, like teaching about race in schools and banning books. These men and women hunt out, enslave and try to destroy generations of people that were, and still are, being exploited in order to gain their own prominence.

How can one be so self absorbed not to realized that all Progressive ideas seek to hunt out, enslave and try to destroy generations of people. If the problems are non-existent, why are school boards, admin, and even the FBI willing to go after parents?

I know for the rioters and building-burners it is, but for the dumbasses who come out to complain about racism and black genocide at the hands of white people to have their mostly peaceful protests in order to set the stage for the rioters to steal stuff and burn buildings, you probably need at least one white person at least somewhat involved somewhere in the situation.

Cheese. She's going to destroy at least one man's life and family and future employment (which she personally probably never considers) because she was drunk and didn't get all them cheese and decided rampaging through the McDonalds was the answer.

And the cop will pay for that one slice of cheese.

186 I'll give our small town police department credit. When they get a new guy, and he turns out to be an asshole, they get rid of him very quickly. Had one about a year ago, and his little reign of terror lasted about three months and they shitcanned him. His qualification to be a small town cop was he worked as a railroad bull. Shouldn't have hired him after the interview, but maybe he was a good liar.

When you enter Rhode Island there's this sign - 'Now Entering Rhode Island'. If one looks carefully you can see - 'Now Leaving Rhode Island' sign off in the distance.

Seriously, I drove from Maine back to Pennsylvania one day in my teens and it was pretty much shocking how few minutes it took to get through the state.

Our town has about 4K people. The police force is staffed at 15 with about 6 vehicles, all SUV's. The cops are usually ex-Army and typically pretty young.

Our town has one stop light (flashing red), no city police and about 15 deputy sheriffs, 10 game wardens and maybe 6 Forest Service LEOs. It's big county.

Here's what caught my attention: the car had to be "made safe" before the track crew could touch it and drag it off the race track. I take that to mean someone could have been electrocuted.

We *just* watched the mid-terms, where we were assured that the cheat machine couldn't work as well as during the presidential elections, turn into a nail biter, with Democrats maintaining control of the Senate and barely losing the house during the worst economy in decades, with 50% real inflation, and threats of nuclear war if Democrats and their uniparty Republican buddies continue arming Ukraine. We're told it was massive turnout because "abortion" or some silliness.

Oh yeah, and Republicans weren't campaigning and funding campaigns because they didn't want the win.

There's no longer a path to 270 for a pro-USA candidate even before they start the real cheating. If they need to start cheating in NC and GA and wherever else they've reinforced then Biden or Karmello or whoever they run will get 100M votes.

Yeah, they're pushing EVs hard in the commercials even though no EVs can run the race for obvious reasons.

It was posted last night, but it's fascinating to see them shifting the Overton Window towards people accepting EVs and believing EVs have always been in racing:

'BUT, and here's the interesting part, you can see the Overton window being moved this year in the race. There are hybrid cars that have 920 megajoules of energy that they're allowed to use per-stint. It doesn't matter if there is still gas in the tank. You can't use it. You have 920 megajoules. You have X amount of "energy", except not energy in gas, or energy in your batteries if you have any energy there. Energy we approve of. Once you use it you are penalized.

"And replenishing that energy bank is a matter of time, not fuel flow."

It's not hard to see where this is going.

It was yet another case of black-on-black crime. Which the Left refuses to talk about. Nor do they accept the premise that 99.9% of the time if you do not resist arrest, you will be fine. Nor do they care about any deaths that occur to thousands of innocent people per year due to black drug and gang crime. Nor do they address the fact that crime is rampant in the black community due to fatherless households. Nor do they address the fact that black culture demeans work ethic and education as they deem that 'acting white'. Nor do they address the fact that calling things 'white' is racism.

I start caring about what happens in the black community again when they start addressing all these issues. I will not be holding my breath for it ever happening.

Posted by: Huck Follywood at January 29, 2023 07:55 AM

From what I have read, police forces have had to lower their standards for admittance, because the 'defund the police' movement has made being a police officer anywhere in the nation completely unwanted.

But I bet many bad people are now seeing the opportunity to join police forces as yet another way to commit violence against their enemies. The Memphis incident looks like black-on-black crime that happens in every city in the country. Only difference in this case was one side was wearing uniforms.
