Well, I use pretty strong coffee, either w/ chicory or an espresso blend, in my drip coffeemaker. My ratio is n + 1 teaspoons of ground coffee, where n = number of cups of water in the reservoir. So if I aim to brew 4 cups of coffee, I put in 4 cups of water and 5 teaspoons of ground coffee.
Really strong stuff like Cafe Bustelo, I'll do n teaspoons t n cups of water.

Make the coffee the way you like. I like strong coffee, so I use more beans, but if you like it with half the beans, then go for it.
My guess is that it isn't a one to one correspondence. The extraction isn't as efficient with more ground coffee in the water.

Since that tradition began about 1979 during the police strike that winter/spring, she'd have been about 30 years old, so it fits.

If I'm doing a pour-over, it's 18g coffee and 270g water, 1:15. That's for light roast. 20g coffee for medium. I think that's the same as the Brit youtuber uses.
That really only works if you grind your own beans. Once you're using someone else's grind, and a drip machine, that formula probably won't work.

Enjoying our short vacay here in Las Vegas. Walked through the King Tut and Titanic museums @ The Luxor yesterday, then picked up tickets to David Copperfield's show (that dude is definitely over 29, now) last night. Today's plans are to get to the Mob and the Haunted museums in the downtown old casino area with lunch in there somewhere. Haven't gambled too much, I'm up by $4 from what I started with in my pocket. Petsitter informs us that MegaRoy misses us. Pretty certain he doesn't, in any case, he'll make me pay dearly for leaving him home without his servants.

"Athena" isn't exactly what you would think of as an action flick. Though there is plenty of action going on. It depicts an uprising and urban warfare in a Muslim ghetto in France trigger by the death of a Muslim;im youth attributed to police.
Just excellent direction. Well-mapped out steadicam shots, so the action/story is told in real time with long continuous shots. Acting is good. Characters well-defined. Lots of tension. And one thing the director does much better than the director of "1917" did was, keep the background filled with violence and action. Really well done. esp the shocking first 15 minutes or so. However -

It's basically a beanbag toss game. Kinda like horseshoes, maybe 10 yards from player to target. Target is an inclined plane (maybe 10-degrees, board 3'x4' with a six to seven inch hole in the center top. Goal is to toss the beanbag so that it goes through the hole to score a point.

What we ascribe to being orderly or not is really put down to: whether the technocrat's obsession is order and things operating smoothly. The Germans- especially after the chaos of the 20s and early 30s, thirsted for stability. Hence the Nazis gave them what they wanted, on the surface at least. Japan was always rigid, and so their flavor of technocracy took on those characteristics.
The commies in Russia and now here thrive in the chaos of the moment. Here they had to break the system in order to gain power, so everything they do takes on a chaotic tenor. I'd argue that the Soviets never really shed the chaos, as every plan seemed half assed and baked. So unless you had a driving, unifying figure (who would immediately come under suspicion) on any project, everything was a goat rodeo. They do not really care if things work except in how it reflects on them. Mean Girl accountability.
