9 I didn't grow up in a family that made much of Sunday breakfast. Most sleep late, and I a boy of 12 or so went to church. (it was right next door) Mother made coffee, and that was about it. I got home, and had cereal in those little boxes that you could cut open and make a bowl out of it. Another idea in serving cereal that has passed us by. My mother got tired of me digging through the larger boxes looking for the toy.

56 So in a series of events yesterday morning involving Dunkin original flavor K-cups and our Keurig machine, we discovered that there has been an ongoing quality control issue with the Dunkin line of pods, and the pod filters blowing through, causing water and grounds to get into places never intended to have coffee grounds in them.

Which then led to going to grind some beans and make the brew of life the old fashioned way.
Which led to me finding out that the weekly cleaning of the KitchenAid burr grinder has not been done in roughly four years.

Perhaps today will start better.

121 56 So in a series of events yesterday morning involving Dunkin original flavor K-cups and our Keurig machine, we discovered that there has been an ongoing quality control issue with the Dunkin line of pods, and the pod filters blowing through, causing water and grounds to get into places never intended to have coffee grounds in them.

Which then led to going to grind some beans and make the brew of life the old fashioned way.
Which led to me finding out that the weekly cleaning of the KitchenAid burr grinder has not been done in roughly four years.

Perhaps today will start better.

Quality control issues don't stop with those K-cups. My wife has 6 AA battery powered wreaths she places on the front windows for Christmas. They have small, led lights and a timer. They work fine. Yep. The auto industry is committing suicide with the move to "electrification". And we workers/employees will be the ones to suffer for it first. Next will be the rest of the nation as ICE vehicles will be either banned from sale by the government or auto companies already have a plan to stop producing them.

I just took my company "electrification" training on Friday and the corporate plan is 100% EV in Europe and 50% EV in North America by 2030. All these assholes have to do is continue making ICE vehicles everyone wants and continue being profitable. Instead, they're run by "climate change" cultists.

Posted by: fd at December 11, 2022 07:45 AM

Not a Fiat company anymore. (Oops, you said economy. Well, my comment is still relevant...) Merge with European "electrification" a little over a year ago and the company is now called Stellantis. Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, etc are all within Stellantis now. Along with Peugeot and a bunch of other European brands.

Since Sergio Marchionne died, FCA/Jeep/Ram has been going downhill. Marchionne called out the idiocy of going to "electrification". Stated the fact that there is no profit in it, since there is no market for it. He blasted the movement and said he would not have FCA build any more EVs than was necessary to meet government minimum regulations. Once he died though, the rest of the management has been all-in on moving to EVs. Fucking depressing.

266 Air pressure is 14.7 pounds per square inch. That pressure is caused by the weight of the atmosphere above that square inch. There are 144 square inches in each square foot. That means the weight of the air on each square foot is 2116.8 lbs/sq foot. Call it a ton per square foot. How many sq feet on the surface of the earth? 4 * PI * r^2. r = 4000 miles * 5280 feet per mile so r = 21,120,000 feet. r^2 = 4.46*10^14 sq feet. Multiply by 4PI = 5.6*10^15 tons, that is how much the earth's atmosphere weighs. Or 700,000 tons for each of the 8 billion people on the planet. My 700,000 tons of air is different from anyone else's 700,000 tons. To be warming the atmosphere, EACH PERSON on the planet has to be heating something which weighs 10 times as much as the Battleship Yamato. Bull and shit.

To the extent their argument is at all valid, it's that CO2 is already a minuscule component of the atmosphere (0.1%, i think?), and even more minuscule changes to that (parts per million of that 0.1%) can have a significant effect on how the Earth absorbs or reflects the Sun's radiation. So an individual doesn't have to heat anything, it's the gigantic nuclear fireball that does the heating, and a minor change in the planet's albedo can create non- negligible changes in the planet's overall heat.

What makes it all bullshit, aside from all the raw data being utterly fake, is the assumption that the Earth is a static system and has no pathways for the biosphere to equilibrate itself in response to changes in atmospheric CO2 levels.
