Rain here today in Brazoria County. Had a dry slot to get the puppies outside to take care of business, but Delilah isn't likely to get off the porch until it stops.
Not sure if my bronchitis is getting better or staying the same. I didn't have a very comfortable night. I feel better in the morning and worse as the day goes on. No appetite. I think it would be irresponsible to go to church tomorrow.

Which reminds me, I have to haul the sweet gum tree waste to my burn pit. Power company had a contractor towing a tree chipper come cut the tree down once it caught on fire when crossing the power lines running the oil equipment. Even though they brought a chipper, they didn't use it and left the debris in the road. Weather is perfect for a good fire out on the peninsula this weekend.

So we only get 10-20 million illegals in a generation, who beget another 15-45 million children-of-illegals. So the good news is there probably aren't more than 20-30 million illegals here. There seems to be a tendency to think taking back the country will be a singular event, a single election, that will turn decades of rot around. I view it more as a long war that has many battles. Some we will win and some we will lose but the ultimate goal is still a ways down the road.
And I don't agree that going after traitors in or own party isn't ever bit as important as going after the left. Maybe more. McConnell retains a lot of power as long as he is in Republican leadership. If he would actually use that power to fight against the left instead of siding with them or being silent we wouldn't have many of the problems we do.

Again, I think it's unrealistic to think that a single event or a single politician is going to change everything in one fell swoop. That is a recipe for constant DOOM talk.
We had the most secure border under Trump since the BP started keeping stats 100 years ago and it was getting better. Had Trump been reelected and the wall finished and his policies continued illegal immigration wouldn't even be a top 5 issue right now.

The obvious answer is the kinds of things that our CoB's ban here. Comments on sites like the Federalist are unreadable because they've allowed StormFront types to dominate the comments and ruin it for everyone else. ZeroHedge's articles are good, but their comments are unreadable for the same reason. Certain groups will make it their life's work to destroy any public conversation, and that's the kind of thing that needs to be blocked, as it is here. And then there's the entire racial slur thing.

I completely agree in The Long War aspect of this. As I have been talking about the Left's Long March Through the Institutions for years here. I found out years ago about the Left's global network of organizations that have been taking over the world for decades through Discover the Networks. The Left controls every institution in the country and the world right now. It took them decades to get to this point.
So it stands to reason that if conservatives are to reverse that, it will take just as long. At which time, all of us will be long dead and gone, if we estimate that the Long March started around 1950 or so. Considering conservatives have nothing the likes of the Left's global network of radical activist organizations nor any type of rich billionaires the likes of Soros, etc, I see no path to change anything.

I absolutely agree with you that this will outlive us but then it always has. In my mind America is an ideal that every generation is charged with preserving for the next even if we won't get to be here for the fruits.
In that respect it is like a war in that many do not survive to see the ultimate win. We were fortunate enough to live in a blessed time in this country and now it has become cursed but I believe it can be great again. I'd rather spend the time I have left committed to fighting these scumbags who hate America than giving them another inch.

There is no way to know, but I doubt that was the case. 2018 was the Left's dry run for 2020 election rigging and steal. That is when they brought in the ballot harvesting and vote-by-mail tactics in many states across the country. There was a blue wave of numerous female Democrat politicians (Governor, AG, SoS, numerous Congressional seats) here in Michigan due in large part to that tactic.
Then we saw in 2020 that when Trump voters re-elected him in a landslide, the ballot harvesting and vote-by-mail and every other fraud effort just completely negated the election results in numerous states.

But that means that conservatives will need to start becoming teachers and replacing all the current crop of left-wing radical activist teachers that seem to be the majority of the teaching profession now. Not to mention replacing school boards, replacing principals, replacing education department heads at the local, state and federal level.
Changing laws like DeSantis and others are doing to ban CRT and gender dysphoria nonsense and sexualization of children is a start, but will not mean anything if the laws are not enforced. And that means mass firings of people who refuse to follow the laws. We see how no one in this country enforces immigration laws, so laws are not enough. The will to enforce the laws is what matters.

I agree with you wholeheartedly here. The problem I see is I don't sense that the majority of conservatives in this country feel the same. When people cannot even be bothered to mass protest/fight against... child sexual grooming in schools, child abuse of masking up, mass firings over lack of "COVID vaccination", COVID lockdowns and every other tyrannical thing done over just the past 2 1/2 years, it does not seem the American people as a whole have the will for this Long War. I guess time will tell.
