It's Not a Red Wave It's a Red Dribble But the Red Dribble Keeps Dribbling In

Via Instapundit, Representative-Elect Michael Lawler knocks of outgoing DCCC Chair Sean Patrick "Chef Boyardee" Maloney in the lower Hudson Valley, which has voted for Democrats for something like (IIRC) 30 years straight.

Video of the "eat Chef Boyardee" line at the link.

God don't like ugly, and voters despise arrogance. I suspect this was the kill shot that finished off Maloney's congressional career. At least this time around. Feckless Democrats, like dead voters, seem to keep coming back to life at the worst possible time.

Some more good news:

Also, from a source connected to one of the organizations supporting Kari Lake, I hear: Kari Lake will win, and Blake Masters could win.

Some dood (sorry, I can't remember his name) was on Charlie Kirk's livestream last night and while the early ballot skew for Abortion Mouse was horrific (11-16%?), the sheer amount of same-day votes could make up for it if they broke something like 3:1 for Lake. Which seems like it might happen.

23 Regardless of the day, the suppression of GOP votes is clear. People are talking about Walker and Oz being weak candidates but it ignores the terrible results in the House.

The only way to beat fraud is by first winning and then fixing the way votes are handled, but "first winning" is the insurmountable hurdle. Lake might pull it off and reel Arizona back to the red column. It'd be great if we could have the same thing happen in Nevada.

We're still looking at needing to thread the needle in 2024. PA and MI are gonezo. There are enough GOP voters there to win, but the fraud machine is too strong.

Focus needs to turn to AZ, NV, and Wisconsin. Win those three and the election is secure. Lose even one of them and it's President Gretchen.

It might actually be worse than you remember; a lot of products have suffered in quality as companies look for shortcuts and cheaper materials to keep costs down. For example Chunky Sirloin Beef soup: fewer pieces of meat, and not as good a flavor, and the cans are actually smaller.

Here's my take, for what it's worth...

I think most voters in this country would *love* to have an alternative. But they don't. I think they recognize that the system is rigged, and representative government is a joke. They're just voting for whichever faction of the brigands are "their brigands."

Like if Mafia syndicates held elections. They're all in it together, the syndicate will carry on hand-in-hand no matter what, but you get to pick who sits at the head of the table. More money will flow to your neighborhood, and the shakedown guys will take it easier on you if it's "your" gangster.

In that environment... when you have to just pick the strongest gang, with the chieftain who can lift the heaviest pig... do you vote for MS-13, or the Yellow Jacket Boys?

This year he ran for a House seat in the newly redistricting area of Oakland county. Which is majority white and I believe still slightly majority Republican. The Atlantic People's Democratic Republic - New England + Eastern New York and PA down to NoVa.

The Federal States of North America - Florida and the old Confederacy up through the Dakotas, the mountain states (except Colorado) and parts of western Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.

Heartland - The States Around the Great Lakes

211 As I said in the other thread at the bottom, Republicans need to be aware that the dem strategy of pushing mail-in ballots has another effect:

How the media reports on returns is fucked now, the dem gets off to an early *perceived* lead which sets the narrative and allows the biased media to talk up the democrats and down the 'wave' or momentum of Republicans. It's only after the day-of voting is tabulated and eventually outweighs the mail-in drops that the real outcome is seen.

But by then the media and democrats, but I repeat myself, have set the narrative and written their stories and the TV has talked up their bullshit.

Something to ponder.

When I was 25, I ran in a Republican congressional primary (2010). I prayed on it, felt I had to do it in the end. I was a novice and didn't know what I was doing. We all know Republicans run the gamut from stuffy, stuck up twits to unfailingly kind.

I'm glad I it did it. Lost the primary and helped the winner. We knocked off the longtime Democrat incumbent.

You don't win elections running on nothing. You don't win elections without money. You don't will elections knocking your base. And you can't win elections when your own damn party undermines you at every turn.

A bit of fraud/impropriety/irregularity, a bit of sabotage, a bit of unending narrative that gets next to no pushback... this result was orchestrated, and in more ways than one.

The time for pushback against our own supposed party/side has been over for a long time. It's past time for a knock down drag out fight if there's any hope left of moving forward.

With women, Trump tends towards insights that sends them into career tailspins. See: Megyn Kelly and Hillary Clinton. I doubt Walker is going to repudiate Trump and it would cause the base to abandon him en masse if he did.

You'd think DeSantis would have some impact on the Georgia ad markets, though.

317 Republicans have to start pushing early and mail in voting. It is a horrible strategy to rely on voters showing up one one day when they can vote for 10,20 or 30 days earlier. Simply from a statistical point of view, it’s bad.

Las Vegas had rain yesterday for example. Something that happens almost never. It may sound silly but when it rains in a place that is sunny 340 days a year people kinda freak out. And maybe some decided fuck it I’m not going out there in this weather. In a super close race even if 1% of potential voters act this way, it’s enough to make a difference.

Why take risks with something like that and not just encourage your voters to vote early instead? It makes no sense.

Harris County is lost. If the GOP could not do it this cycle, especially against the incumbent county judge who is weak and may well be indicted in the near future, then it can't be done. Period. But Harris County is sufficiently competitive that it does not necessarily overwhelm the adjacent counties, with the result that the Houston courts of appeals are not a total loss (4 appellate judge seats were up, all claimed by Republicans).

Not a super logical way of expressing it(or looking at it necessarily, you can have very widespread fraud). Statewide elections can easily be fraudulent country-wide. Many representative elections will be legitimate just because they're siloed from one another and from urban fraud centers. Overall it doesn't seem like we were seeing 2020 level chicanery, worst states with issues look to be AZ and GA, maybe PA. PA senate race might have been won beyond the margin given by fraud though.

At least in the case of Kemp, we might have one of those rare cases of a successful corrupt Republican. He has an oddly friendly relationship with Abrams considering she's always accusing him of election fraud.

Most of the Republican political machines died out decades ago but it's not like it's impossible to build new ones, or make deals with people who can do what you need.

512 I am in a very red county that does elections very clean and fast and efficient. Republicans win 65-35 so there is no cheating because it would change it to maybe 64-36.

However even here there is ticket splitting. For instance my state rep won 62% of the vote. The exact same people who did that voted 70% for the Republican running for state AG. That’s ticket splitting too and makes not much sense. People make weird voting choices based on the stupidest reasons. You like someone’s name, you like or dislike their hair cut, who knows. I'm as pro-life as they come, but if we try to legislate outright abortion bans we are adding a last-minute oxygen blast to a smoldering pile. SCOTUS sent the matter back to the states, where it belongs. Now the hard work of changing hearts and minds begins. Just like the climatistas kept hammering home a message that eventually got through to a significant population, the pro-life movement needs to do the same. Engender a grass-roots revelation on the sanctity of life, and people will vote to ban abortion by acclamation. It's the only way to settle the issue once and for all.

She was a party to it all in 2020, knows how the game was played. The in-person voting I saw matches the 70-30% R dumps seen in Maricopa. They really pissed off a lot of people around here (McCain GOP folks), I hope they get what's coming to them with it being a split win. The margins on the SOS are completely suspect. Seriously, Kim Yee wasn't *THAT* good of a candidate that she'd garner a 200K vote win? Really, that just seems like the Abortion Mouse machine wanted a throw-away loss. It's all really fishy.

557 For instance my state rep won 62% of the vote. The exact same people who did that voted 70% for the Republican running for state AG. That’s ticket splitting too and makes not much sense. People make weird voting choices based on the stupidest reasons. You like someone’s name, you like or dislike their hair cut, who knows. But evidence of ticket splitting in Arizona is not evidence of fraud.

It's more of a flag to look at something if there's other weirdness going on.

Other evidence of fraud rarely makes it easy to quantify, so split ticketing also plays a role in trying to estimate how much fraud there was.

The two areas where winning hearts and minds depend on finding a way to sell the message is that (1) a lot of these women, if not themselves, know one of the women who has had one of the 65 million abortions and can't think of that woman (or themselves) as being a murderer, and (2) are just not well informed (intentionally) about when a fetus becomes a baby. 616 Its hard to grasp that someone could be such a raging slut and idiot that believes murdering a baby is a better alternative to birth control if they somehow cannot keep their legs together, but here we are. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at November 09, 2022 02:32 PM (Ivdso)

They can't believe it internally, but if they praise the abortion sacrament and vote D hard then they think they will get absolution.

617 At least Ron Johnson made it over Mandela Barnes. Barnes is, as I've said several times here, a fucking menace. So I got that much. The rest of WI, well, there are a TON of utterly dumb blue-collar working-class dimwits in this state who believe everything they're told on TV and FB. They hate 'Big Corporations', and honestly believe inflation, shortages, high gas prices, etc. are all entirely due to Fat Cats (Republicans!) exploiting them. There is no way to penetrate that retard armor. I personally know a pile of these kinds of people. And the women are no smarter, totally believing that the Roe v. Wade SC decision was a step to banning birth control!
There are a lot of truly stupid people out there.

618 And, Ron Johnson ran probably the least motivating campaign I've ever seen, with lame platitudes about 'government spending' and 'Liberals'. Barnes ran wall-to-wall images of himself as a working-class regular dude (!!) looking out for 'the little guy', and I'm not surprised the race was close.
Even with cheating in the Blue cities I expected a close call and it was. The working class factory people here turned Barnes because he ran a smart campaign, if completely dishonest, and made himself look like 'one of them' even though he absolutely is not.

I want the house to start with the hearings the very day they take office.

620 591 AZ: MORE 'early vote/mail in' ballots dropped off ON election day than actual in-person votes cast...275,000 still to count

These votes are likely Republican voters.

621 Don't underestimate the importance of the GOP probably taking the Governors races in AZ and NV. The corruption of the voting process there is a real problem - a 'clean' election could have big implications for '24.

622 Up to at least four black Republicans in the House next year: James (MI), Donalds (FL), Owens (UT), and Hunst (TX). Anyone know of any others?

Barnes's 'everyman' campaign was probably one of the most well done of that type I ever saw. More alarming is how many people didn't care that it was a complete sham and a farce.

People do really vote for the sizzle and not the steak.
