Turnout Numbers for Democrats Indicate "Possible Worst Case Scenario for Democrats"?
"A Good Time for a Freak-Out?" "Armageddon?"

Before getting to that, there is one big snag: Polling stations throughout Maricopa County, Arizona, are down, and unable to record votes. Maricopa is a Democrat county but it's mostly Republicans who vote day-of the election, so this affects the Republican vote.

You know who's in charge of voting in Arizona, right? That's right, Abortion Mouse, the woman running for governess, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs. And it just turns out that the voting machines are down in a high-population county! Oh pooh!

Now, people are dropping off their ballots in boxes and supposedly these will be scanned later but who knows what Abortion Mouse will actually do with them.

On to some of the reports about turnout:

Kyle Lamb
@kylamb8

The turnout numbers based on party affiliation coming out of various locations across the country are indicative of a possible worst case scenario for Democrats today. These margins are insane.

Dave Wasserman
@Redistrict

It's pretty apparent from precinct-level data in VA and county-level data in FL that Democrats have a turnout problem today - one that's unlikely to be solved in the next six hours.

John Ekdahl tells me that VA-10 is the "high-water mark" of an Armageddon scenario -- that is, one of the last possible seats we could possibly pick up in a huge year. It's in deep dark blue Northern Virginia, where every house has a "In this House we believe that Science Is Real and Biology is White Patriarchy" sign.

And it's in play.

I'm not sure if New York City turnout is bad for Hochul or not. The Bronx, largely minority, has "abysmal" turnout, proving that minorities are just not enthused to vote for Democrats this cycle.

Ryan James Girdusky
@RyanGirdusky

Basically, Staten Island and Manhattan is having much larger turnout than the rest of the city. SI is less people but very pro-Zeldin, Manhattan is more ppl and pro-Hochul.

Brooklyn and Queens are not doing great but not far behind.

Bronx is abysmal. Bad for Hochul

PCT of RVs who have turned out so far, NYC:

-Manhattan 21.72%
-Bronx 11.25%
-Brooklyn 17.35%
-Queens 15.19%
-Staten Island 20.40%

Citywide: 17.02%

(Excludes absentees)

Democrats are losing badly in Clark County Nevada -- where all their votes are. As well as Washoe County, which they need to either win or at least tie.

Jon Ralston
@RalstonReports

The latest.

GOP still ahead in Clark.

This is a familiar pattern early on Election Days.

GOP +5,200 out of 20K voted so far.

Dr. John R. Samuelsen
@JohnRSamuelsen

Election Day Turnout Update in Clark County, Nevada

8:50am
Total 20350
Dem 4904 (24.1%)
Rep 10098 (49.6%) +5,194
Other 5348 (26.3%)

Jon Ralston
@RalstonReports

Repubs crushing Dems in very early going in Democratic Clark County, where all the votes are.

Jon Ralston
@RalstonReports

Repubs crushing it in early going in Washoe, too.

Ben Margiott
@BenMargiott

34m
So far today, 5,292 have voted in Washoe County. Here's the breakdown by party:

1,065 Democrats
2,878 Republicans
1,349 Nonpartisans

Democrats' lead in early/mail voting wiped out in the first 2 hours of Election Day. Link

In heavily Democrat, heavily black Broward County, more Republicans are voting than Democrats. At least on election day. A lot more Dems voted by mail but we'll see if we can put a dent in that by day's end.

8 Rethuglicans will take the house. The stock market will rejoice, it always does best with demoncrat presidents and GOP congress.

On the senate side the GOP could have won Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and kept Florida, Ohio, Utah with a fair election but they won't beat the margin of fraud in many of those states. At least two of those states will not report results tonight as they will need more time to fabricate the desired results. At most the GOP will gain one senate seat, I'm predicting they actually lose one.

McConnell will rejoice having achieved his goal of keeping the GOP in the senate minority during a historic red wave election. He will overdose on cocaine and that will be the best possible outcome.

The McConnell funeral will last three months.

McCarthy will have a free hand to pass all the crazy stuff the voters want without having to fear anything coming of it. They will pass bills to secure the border, deal with election fraud, impeach Xiden two or three times, repeal Obamacare again, and hold Hunter in contempt when he declines to show up for the hearings. Nothing will actually happen.

*These predictions have all the accuracy of a coin toss.

9 On the CO wait times, that doesn't seem to make sense. CO is cheat-by-mail. In-person election-day voting is pretty minimal. If you go to a polling station (in my experience), they encourage you to just go home , fill out your ballot and then come back and drop it into the box.

==========

I've been asserting for a week that the state-level polling probably has a general issue. The polls were trying to correct for 2020, if they were trying to correct at all, taking the 2020 results as gospel.

When the MI presidential vote gets tossed out by the MI Supreme Court as invalid, you don't use 2020 as a model for how to build the 2022 electorate.

If 2020 was rife with cheating, and if the polling firms don't acknowledge that, AND if there were efforts to clean up voting (just to the point of preventing 2020 level cheating at the least), then the state level polls were outright wrong. Deeply, deeply wrong.

I think we're going to find that out tonight.

Vote to start to undo the damage that Cuomo and his minions did to all of us that live in NYS.

115 This is anecdotal - but - here in my DEEP Red Southern Missouri, the voting line was 50 deep before I got in. When I came out it was the same. In my area, the Dems do not even field a candidate for State Rep or Senator. This is a vote FOR Eric Schmitt. And for or against Constitutional Amendments. We want the Army of the Republic of Missouri to be on a firmer footing, for instance.

Houlahan continued that “the stakes of having a Republican…in my seat…are democracy” – even though the results for Pennsylvanians of having Houlahan in that seat have led to $5 gas, record inflation, and a massive crime wave in Philadelphia.

Nevada Clark County Election Day Vote
Dem 4904 (24.1%)
Rep 10098 (49.6%) +5,194
Other 5348 (26.3%)

numbers-wise that is pretty terrible for Republicans. I believe Democrats have around a 40k early vote "firewall" in this county and Election Day is only expected to trend younger and more Democratic as the day goes on. For Republicans to have only cut 5k into that lead during what is expected to be the best part of their day, ehhh.

Remember the Rs have already knocked 30k off that outside of Clark/Washoe We need to get people to the polls.

5,292 have voted in Washoe County. Here's the breakdown by party:
1,065 Democrats
2,878 Republicans
1,349 Nonpartisans
Democrats' lead in early/mail voting Washoe lead wiped out in the first 2 hours of Election Day.

Voting behavior by party affiliation without actually knowing who's getting votes really is tea leaf reading. If there's massive crossover voting (like, it seems, happened in 201, then you can't glean that from the EV registration numbers. You have to filter it through a subjective assertion that could be called, "mood of the country."

I think Hung Cao - the Republican - is going to win it and the momentum has been on his side for the past few weeks. If we can't win VA 10 then there is no red wave at all.

I can only speculate that if turnout is low (in one of the most consequential elections of a lifetime - mind-blowing to me) that has got to hurt dems the most, but will also temper some races of our own.

Just a small case study is SC-1, Incumbent Republican Nancy Mace versus Democrat Dr. Abbie Andrews.

Andrews' ads are about how Mace wants to stop abortion. They try to be scary a bit, especially since Mace, apparently, was part of a law making process a few years ago in the state house to make all abortions illegal in SC (in a trigger type law if and when Roe would be overturned).

Mace's ads are shotgun blasts of Andrews being pro-crime, pro-tranny, and pro-killing kids up to the moment of birth.

I'm curious how this race turns out. Not that Mace may lose (not in this year), but how big of a victory she'll have, especially compared to 2 years ago when she took the seat from Joe Cunningham (now running as sacrificial lamb against Henry McMaster).

Voting is the prelude to a coup. Yeah, got it.

How? Why? WTF do you mean? Are Republicans going to launch their F-22s (which are under control of the president) to shoot down the F-15s the president keeps threatening the American people with?

How, exactly, is democracy at stake? How will the Republic fall? By what mechanism could this possibly be the case?

And if there is none–barring some hyper-complicated, impossible to grasp conspiracy theory–then STFU.

It's a really bad idea to allow someone like @katiehobbs the power to simultaneously run for Governor and keep the power to oversee elections -- rejecting demands that she recuse herself -- because serious failures which benefit her, like these, will naturally create suspicions.

697 I suspect Maricopa is "engineered chaos." The gambit is that the Dems want a week before they have to report Maricopa final numbers. Obviously, so they can see all the other numbers come in to see what the delta is that must be overcome for Hobbs to win.

So, they don't use the right paper. Or the right ink. Or hire the right number of people. Whatever. Point is, they need national headlines about "long waits" and "machine errors" to justify the week they need.

Of course, Maricopa has these issues EVERY election. Famous for it. If you think they have any shame about it, you haven't been paying attention.

Again, this is the 2nd Senate run for Fetterman. He was setup through AmeriCorps & awarded, a Champion of Change, under the 1st O & Joe administration.

Mary Gay Scalon's husband is the Chair of Ballard Spahr, and we could go on through other Pennsylvania Congressmen and women such as Madeleine Dean, Chrissie Houlihan, etc. All are moneyed & well connected.

Previously thread, I think, showed the loophole for "uncured" mail-in ballots in PA so it's no surprise they've laid in waiting to announce a lawsuit. This - Philly and Pittsburgh and their ring counties - is FJB's stronghold.
