47 I like the way Murillo captures the light for the fruit and skin tones. He has a way to use it to focus the viewer's attention. Also, the level of detail lends a sense of a complete scene without making the painting seem too busy or crowded. It's a bit of a balancing act but he does it well. Also, the expressions and postures of the people seem very real.

It would be interesting if Murillo had been available to illustrate Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer.

61 I really like this one. It captures innocence, yet, it's a very hard way of life type of innocence.

The youngsters are very well done, to the shoes being out at the toes on the young miss.

The background, though, l find a bit jarring, It's like the artist used an early Hollywood painted backdrop and, just painted what he saw rather than blending the backdrop so it looked like it belonged with the youngsters.

Is the fruit organic? Have they evaluated the fruit selling competition? What factors did they consider when choosing a location for their retail presence? Do they sell online? Are they offering volume discounts, free delivery? What's their return policy?

123 So, this morning I decided to watch Crowder's 1 min preview of some on the street interview with a tranny, and it put a thought in my brain.

In the video, the tranny said that disrespect was literal violence. I mean...ugh.

But then I remembered Trayvon Martin. When it came out that Zimmerman hadn't touched Martin before Martin started beating him, the narrative quickly changed to defense of Martin because he felt "dissed". Being "dissed" was justification for beating a man nearly to death, including pounding his head against a cement curb.

Did that idea permeate the entire left from that point on? That disrespect was literal violence and could be met with physical violence?

Why not continue the comparisons? I'm not saying that Biden will lose 55 seats. I'm saying he's going to lose seats. It's not going to be a wash. It's going to be a loss. It's not because of the polls, though. It's the shitty nature of the economy.

The implication isn't that Biden will lose the same number of seats, but that Congress will probably end up in similar numbers to 2011 in 2023.

I'm mostly saying, though, that the presidential approval ratings, especially in August and early September, are not predictive of how the midterm will play out.

my patriot battery never had the miles gear. the op4 would consistently claim we 'hadn't got them' when they attacked our perimeter. i showed my maintenqnce platoon sergeant how to rig trip flares and where to put them on our portion of the tactical site. next night, op4 decided to hit my side of the perimeter. they set off the trip flares at 75 meters, and my ring mounted m2 (with bkanks of course) hosed them down while the rest of the battery woke up.

We had a line of tanks rolling past our position one time, all of us were firing at the tank as they went, because why the hell not. No whoopie lights went on. So one of the tanks stopped directly in front of my squad's foxholes, turned its turret and fired. Now, I guess the main weapon didn't have MILES gear on, or they don't work for such things, but unfortunately there was a ref in the area who saw the whole thing. Came over and declared most of us dead.

Great. Now we got to go to the morgue. I hate going to the morgue.

Part of what has them all spooked is the number of nevertrumpers who are losing their primaries. Mitch and McCarthy know that if the R's win a majority, a large part of the caucus will be opposed to their uniparty agenda. So it makes perfect sense they'd not want a majority of Republicans. It's easier to pretend to oppose the Democrat Party than it is to listen to people from outside DC who want some things to actually change.
