The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

‘Children versus adults does not change the safety threshold when it comes to overloading.’ Attorney Jeffrey Goodman

Quote II

“We’ve definitely seen a spike in inquiries. We’ll see if it translates to procedures, but more people are asking about it.” Dr. Shrikesh Majithia of DrSnip in the Seattle and Portland

Good, we don't need them reproducing another generation of Karens.

Quote III

"That’s why I have to express my disappointment at the cheap shot you took at Joe Biden via Twitter. It was unprofessional and beneath the office that you once held. It was also disrespectful to me and the many friends you had in our administration. You were the personal physician to the President of the United States as well as an admiral in the U.S. Navy. I expect better, and I hope upon reflection that you will expect more of yourself in the future." Former President JEF, TFG

Funny thing Hussein, I don't recall your rebuke of Harry Reid or Joe Biden calling people tax cheats and slavery enablers.

Quote IV
“We are committed to an all-electric, zero-emissions future, and ensuring that the right charging infrastructure is in place is a key piece of the puzzle,”

“With travel centers across North America, Pilot Company is an ideal collaborator to reach a broad audience of EV drivers.” said Mary Barra, GM chair and CEO.

    23 Saint of the Day
St. Bonaventure (1221--1274) was born with the name Giovanni in Tuscany, Italy. As a child he became very ill and was near death until his mother brought him to St. Francis of Assisi, who was then living in the region. It is said that St. Francis healed the child and afterward exclaimed, "O buona ventura (O good fortune)!" when he prophetically perceived how great the child would one day become, and this is how he began to be called Bonaventure. He joined the Franciscan order at the age of 22 and went on to study theology at the University of Paris, where he became friends with the Dominican friar St. Thomas Aquinas. The two friends graduated together, each insisting that the other be the first to receive honors. St. Bonaventure is regarded as one of the great philosophers and theologians of the Middle Ages, earning the name "Seraphic Doctor." In addition to his many writings, including a Life of St. Francis of Assisi, and was appointed a cardinal-bishop by the Holy Father. St. Bonaventure died while assisting at the Second Council of Lyons. His feast day is celebrated on July 15th.

actually, there are electric diggers. it's a thing in mining now. and they do pretty well from what I understand.

and everyone seems to be on the electric truck movement now. seems like one of the ways people are looking is a battery and trolley combo, but zero emissions mining is a big thing in the near future.

the trick is to see how it works compared to the current diesel production trucks.

69 vasectomies do have side effects, some serious

no one ever talks about this, because the public health establishment REALLY wants men to get vasectomies

first of all - reversal is a crap shoot

second of all - a not-insignificant percentage of guys have permanent sexual function damage (it can be mild, but still! it's a danger that is literally NEVER mentioned)

honestly tho we don't need the guys who would have vasectomies at 20 breeding anyway. they are simps.

73 The Republicans will purposely lose winnable seats to keep America First candidates out of Congress. America First candidates will replace GOPe House and Senate members anyway

Trump will run in 2024 and will get the Republican nomination. Trump will beat any Democrat candidate

I'll agree with you that the GOP will throw elections because they're gutless cowards who don't want to win. Any America First candidates who win will be sidelined, ostracized and made irrelevant by the McCarthys and McConnells of the GOP and their election will change nothing.

Trump may run. He may get the nomination. He will not win. Whether through (God forbid) assassination or stolen election aided and abetted by the GOP, he will not win.

110 The J6 committee has already said, publicly, their intent is to disqualify Trump from holding office again. They've also said they intend to disqualify several of his supporters and candidates he endorsed that they feel participated in the InSuRreCtiOn.

If disqualified (whatever that ends up to mean) I strongly believe the GOP will abide by the J6 findings and not put Trump's name on the ballot. If Trump isn't on the Republican ballot then how exactly is he going to win the election in '24?

There are a lot of unknowns about 3rd party and/or write-in avenues for Trump, if he's going to run regardless what the J6 committee declares.

Lastly, assuming Trump's disqualified and still runs, and potentially wins does anyone honestly think the current administration is going to accept those results?

What if, in their yawning ignorance of the American political system and how it actually works, the legions of braindead, publicly educated NPCs don't understand the above dynamic at all? What if, in a virtue-signaling spasm of mass-hysteria, these drulls start sterilizing themselves?

Could it be that millions of my hated enemies would extirpate their own family trees, from poisoned root, to bitter fruit? Dare I hope? Please, lord, let it be so.

If I was a red state governor, I'd be signing an immediate executive order, quietly setting up taxpayer-funded voluntary sterilization centers in every blue district. Advertised as free range, organic, fair trade womb removal.

Dominion machines and all the other stuff is fun to talk about, but people / boards / judges changing laws with clear legislative requirements are where the fraud was in 2020. And apparently Hillary Clinton's law firm was knee-deep in it, sending teams around to the states to make sure the law was compromised in that way.

There were tens of millions of fraudulent votes nationwide. Trump won in a landslide. I have no problem saying he won California.

201 Dude claims we “forgot” to normalize abortion, and in support quotes Alito saying abortion is different from other social issues like gay marriage because it involves another life.

    --

It already was - sorta - normalized. But they pushed too far. Rare and exceptional early abortion turned into kill the baby at crowning because it's "my body, my choice."

203 Wheher it's Trump who wins or some other GOP candidate, the country is screwed. The Democraps will go berserk -- look at Roe v Wade reaction -- and try to (literally) burn the country down.

The opposition wins and we are in for four years of "tear it all down" and cultural chaos, just like now, but exponentially worse.

That said, Trump has already lived through the Left's tactics and survived, so far. He's a known quantity.
Why risk electing someone who doesn't have the balls to fight back .

209 If Biden is still the Dem strong horse - which he appears to be, somehow - then he will be in seat on 2024 and there will be no early movement. They need to whittle away at Joe while building up someone else. The building up will probably start after the midterms, and the volume of noise about Senile Joe and Corrupt Joe will increase. I suspect they want to primary him, but they need *someone* to do that. Making him resign or killing him off would muddy the waters too much and make them pivot a grand strategy off of its current course, and also burn up at least one person off their bench when they have to replace the VP.

If they want Biden gone - just an assumption on my part, but I can't fathom why they wouldn't - they need to build up a new Party savior while denigrating the current guy, then primary Biden out of 2024 and try their new strong horse. Until the polling (their internal polling - the real numbers, not the BS they publish to move opinion) turns over and stays turned over, they're not going to make a move.

Yup. Didn't you know? Women are chattels. Coverture is back, they own no property so long as a man is present, they have no autonomy, no agency, don't work, are hidden from the culture and are all chained to the stove, barefoot. If they aren't pregnant for at least 9 out of every 24 months, they are sold off for hard labor on plantations or factory work because they have no value from that point forward. All feminist themes have been purged from the popular culture and everything from grocery shopping to the DMV to church services are now sex-segregated. Women are now seen and not heard, reduced to a pseudo-slave status. This has all happened over the past six weeks. Where have you been?

The Clintons did a lot, but they also built a very strong network of their own people. Those people - I call them the "gangster faction" - lost. They're still there, but they no longer control the Party. They're also largely too old now. Andrew Cuomo was their strongest member, and the Party kneecapped him - in my opinion, they did this because he had his sights set higher and the Party is not going to let a gangster run for president again.

The greater damage that they're dealing with today was, I think, due to Obama. It was with him that they radicalized the Party and caused the fracture. The current hard-left Maoist platform is really hard to manage anyway, let along when combined with a bunch of unlikable madman stooges on their bench. Obama did that, not the Clintons. The Clintons at least built their own network and had a fairly deep bench of affable mobsters. They bet it all on a Hillary administration and she failed twice.

China is in serious trouble in a lot of dimensions. Xi's "dynamic zero" COVID policy is a disaster and is fucking up the entire industrial chain because of frequent (and lengthy) shutdowns in major economic centers. Xi's gamble on isolating Australia through trade sanctions failed and caused severe shortages of high-grade coal, which has caused power shortages that idle factories. Their seasonal flooding has been quite bad this year. The real estate market - the magic unicorn underpinning a huge amount of the Chinese economy *and* government finance - is cracking (that was on purpose, since they wanted a controlled declined rather than a disorderly collapse, and time will tell if they can arrest the serious crash). Their industrial economy is having trouble hiring due to rising wages, and labor costs mean China is not the low-cost manufacturer anymore and companies are starting to leave for cost reasons as well as at the behest of foreign countries.

Xi has his work cut out for him.

312 Another minor point, but I put up a post I think 14 months ago where I tried to do some analysis using cycle voting trends to get a feel for how many of Biden's 81 million votes were fraudulent.

    Some of you might remember.

Here is the conclusion I drew with one of the models...

The 7.5% adjustment model – In the 3rd model I reduce Biden's growth advantage by 7.5% across the board, regardless. With this model Biden’s vote total is 76,327,660 and Trump wins Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

Anyway, yesterday I finally saw results from analysis done using actual polling of voters where they were asked who they voted for in 2020. This is very accurate way to determine what the real vote was in 2020.

Conclusion from polling is that Biden got 6 million fraudulent votes.

My model looks to have been pretty close.

Maybe. Maybe not. I was a young supporter and volunteer for Kennedy in his challenge to Carter. It was a strange, schizoid effort -- at times he was witheringly effective in his attacks on Carter's failures and betrayals, evoking the essence of RFK, and at other times out to lunch. The party leaders were very pragmatic then, not so ideological, and unseating the incumbent was not going to happen. Also, the democrats thought Reagan was a joke, would implode, and Carter would breeze to victory. That is, they didn't need a fired-up liberal Kennedy-base to win.

Good. Keep bringing it up, keep pushing it. If we can get through the midterms with the numbers, it's a possibility.

If they lied or perjured themselves or defrauded the American people...They have to be removed bc they can't survive that to just continue to wreck our legal foundation. They broke the law. They don't get free passes. When are we going to expand that court? IMPEACH THREE JUDGES AT ONCE.

Dave's analysis points out something that we know, but is often ignored, and which has a huge bearing on what happens in the next election. Dems were able to steal the election because they controlled the counting in 6 key cities, which swung 6 key states. They didn't need to do it nationwide, just in these key places. Can it happen again?
Milwaukee - appears to have been cleaned up, unmonitored drop boxes not allowed.
Las Vegas - the Dem machine in the state is falling apart in the face of economic collapse, and they are losing control.
Philadelphia - hmm, looks like nothing has changed there.
Arizona - it looks like voting procedures have been cleaned up.
Detroit - well, Whitmer is still in control.
Atlanta - this is the big question. I'm hopeful, but we will see.
California doesn't count, they're going to vote far left no matter what, but who cares.

It isn't failure theater to motivate votes, it is to motivate MONEY.

All of these leftist think tanks and NGOs need money to keep their leftist drones living the high life in Georgetown. They need to motivate the doaners to think that with just a few more $50K donations, they will be able to squeak out a win against the evil Rethuglicans. So their captured polling operations are there specifically to generate results that support their fundraising efforts.

411 Tom - There was a change in PA though. The unsolicited ballot process used in 2020 was tossed out in that special election in 2021. So PA is back to their old method, you have to request a ballot.

Remember that even with the late night fraud in Philly, Trump was ahead by close to a million on election night. His lead disappeared when they started with the fraudulent mail in votes.

That is where the key issue is going to be for election integrity. Can fraudulent mail in votes be used to turn an election. Of all the states you mentioned, Georgia is the one that concerns me most.

Posted by: Dave in Fla at July 15, 2022 09:06 AM (5p7BC)

412 110 The J6 committee has already said, publicly, their intent is to disqualify Trump from holding office again.

Posted by: Martini Farmer at July 15, 2022 08:01 AM (BFigT)

To disqualify persons due to J6 the Dems intend to use the 14th Amendment, Section 3, that says persons can be disqualified for future Federal office if they took an oath to protect the Constitution then while under that oath (as POTUS, Congressman, etc.) engaged in insurrection or rebellion. Then it says that this ban may be removed for an individual by a two-thirds vote in each house of Congress.

It was put in to ban former Confederates from holding office post-Civil War. There is no definition of insurrection or rebellion, nor a definition of how a person is to be charged and convicted of such.

Well talking about it with hindsight, any option other than one that we went with (relying on lawyers and the courts) seems more hopeful. It's possible that a stronger appeal for public outcry would've worked but I'm skeptical. What is the public going to do but complain?

My view is that we needed guys making arrests, interfering with the Dem vote manufacturing machines directly in real time. An election fraud task force made of loyalists. Incidentally a department of loyalists using force is also how to operate coups or consolidate power.

Personally I can't say I saw the magnitude of fraud coming. I assumed they wouldn't be so brazen or rushed.

I didn't know he's backing down on sanctions, but it doesn't surprise me if it's true. They need that Aussie coal to run their eastern (that is, industrial) power infrastructure. And the banking trouble is probably related to the real estate problems and looming recession, and yeah - it's getting hard to suppress. When you limit people to a couple of hundred bucks a day in cash, arbitrarily limit electronic transactions, and only service a few hundred customers per day, they start to notice and it can get out of hand quickly.

China's banking is pretty rotten and if this isn't just a typical Chinese overreaction and the banking sector is actually failed, they're in very serious trouble.

Think about the problem as the politicians would frame it and then hand it off to the engineers to solve it.

Integrate the charging infrastructure and subject it to central control with extensive automation. Have the power utility automatically step down charging throughput - or idle charging altogether - during periods of power contention. There are no "peak" or "off-peak" hours anymore because vehicle charging is responsive to other demand and automatically steps down or idles as directed by the central system that is integrated with the power utility.

This continues until the system can be expanded to other high-load sectors like manufacturing, with household-level automatic controls coming in the final phase, starting with integration of temperature controls to allow the roll-off of high-demand items.

506 I don't think we've heard the last of the J6 committee. There's a shit ton of bad blood between rank and file politicians and Trump. Enough that some will continue to hound him, abusing their office in doing so, but nonetheless want him in prison at any cost.

Lastly, the J6 committee is a political circus, not legal. The disqualification, if it came to that is a political move. Would it end up in the courts anyway? Who knows. It's a roadblock for Trump. Yet something else he has to contend with should he want to run. I'd bet good money the issue, should it come to a head won't be decided in his favor. Which is really the whole point of J6.

I'm guessing that you either had gas heat and limited or no A/C usage, or both electric heat and A/C usage but consistent throughout the year.

Where I am, the summers are brutal and the electricity cost nearly doubles for the summer months because not running A/C is *not* an option here. My range is about $110-$130 during winter and $225-$300 during summer. My 12-month average for the 12 months ending in June of 2022 is $185. I am in a low-mid cost region, with a regional average cost of 12.87 cents and state average about cent less.

I guess from now on, for safety and insurance reasons, the company will need to weigh all passengers, crew, and stuff being carried before departing to make sure they're under the limit.
