File this under: It's Never Enough

Fake Marvel "fans" (a.k.a. the fascist twitter mob) is pleased that Marvel is now thoroughly woke, but that's not enough. They are now demanding "trigger warnings" for subject matter included in the garbage movies.

The latest fake outrage is Marvel didn't include a "trigger warning" in the latest shitty movie when the topic of Terminal Cancer was broached in a scene.

The leftist-fascist gives not shit about cancer.
Why, then? Because: Why Do Dogs Lick Their Balls?

It's Never Enough.

15 I've been looking at polls for 3 months now. Most of you know that I HATE to go out on a limb about anything being certain after getting burned so many times.

But damn, I see no changes and it is just getting worse for the Democrats. I see no scenario that changes anything, and that INCLUDES considering opportunities for fraud in various states, and the fact that CA, OR, CO, and WA have structured their election systems to make it easy for Democrats to cheat.

I am THIS close to just saying fuck it, and predicting 2022 and 2024.

As of right now, without any changes in current conditions (including opportunities for fraud) the Republicans will have 245+ in the House and 53+ in the Senate in 2023.

Trump will win in 2024 by 7 points and 330+ EVs.

The numbers are bad, and there is nothing that is going to happen to improve the situation. The mistakes were made and it is too late to fix anything.

Turks pretty much hate the Greeks.

Late 80's I went on an exercise in western Turkey. Close enough that my map (marked Secret by the Turks) included the border.

Beyond the border was nothing but blank grid squares (no roads, no terrain, just white with grid squares) labeled "Yunanistan", which means "Land of the Ionians". I asked a Turkish Lt. what it meant. He said, "Land of the slaves."

As my ongoing investigation into Amazon illustrates, it has become increasingly difficult for the public to move, assemble, and converse in public without being tracked and recorded," Markey said.

Amazon has an agreement with more than 2,100 police departments nationwide under the app called "Neighbors." Police can use the app to request videos. The lawmaker warned:

"We cannot accept this as inevitable in our country. 101 Senate: GOP is going to win AZ, NV, and GA. GOP probably holds PA because of the massive demographic shift and the elimination of the mail in ballots without request done in 2020. NH is probably 50/50 for a flip, if Sununu had run it would be a GOP lock. Murkowski is in the trouble in AK, she will survive the primary because of the new jungle system but it in danger of losing the general to the Trump endorsed challenger.

I'm seeing the Senate as 53 GOP at the end of the day.

One factor in POTUS elections I haven't heard discussed much is the Constitutional deadline for a President taking office. January 20th. The dates for the several Electoral College milestones established (By a Fed Law) to meet that deadline gave statelegislatures and state and Federal courts an out on rigorously reviewing challenges filed by Trump: There's not enough time to do what really should be done! So we'll simply rule no one has standing.

Congressional and Senate elections do not have that rigid deadline; some recounts and challenges in the 2020 elections ran past the first day of the new Congressional session.

I have no idea how to amend the POTUS post-election day schedule and milestones to relieve the time pressure.

146 One of the challenges facing our side is that Democrats have spent *generations* fucking up their hellhole cities. Thus, when a Republican finally is able to eke out a win, the Democrat machine spends that entire term blaming all of the problems (created by Dems, mind you) on the Republican.

After 2-6 years of that, people vote out the Republican because there's never enough time for the R to fix what the D's destroyed.

It will take *generations* of conservative governance to fix what the Democrats have taken *generations* to break.

173 Grassley, if he's re-elected.

Interestingly, there's this. It would certainly change the campaign dynamic and maybe, just maybe, we'd stop kissing Iowan corn farmer's asses.

It's official: Iowa and New Hampshire's first-in-the-nation status as the caucus and primary openers of the presidential campaign season is no longer guaranteed after the Democratic National Committee approved a resolution that significantly changes the way the party picks its presidential candidates.

Kind of what they are trying to do to Trump on a national scale.

I lived in Iowa in 2016 when that fossil was elected to his 7th term (I refused to vote for him). Now he is running for his 8th term. He is the poster child for both the Swamp and for term limits. Pathetic.

180 McConnell has been grooming John Thune as his replacement for years. He's currently the number 2 Republican in the Senate and 2 decades younger than Grassley.

There was a glimmer of hope he was not going to run for re-election but he finally did. If Republicans take the Senate he isn't getting demoted.

181 "Self-preservation" means nothing when (1) you have the state-level apparatus under your control and (2) you have a cushy media/lobbying lifetime job when you "retire". They will appear to play ball with conservatives long enough to fight off any genuine challengers, but at the end of the day, their new masters will ensure they vote the Swamp party when it counts.

He gets a pass because he did more to shine a light on the corruption in DC than the entire GOP at all levels since 1988. Yes, he made mistakes. Yes, some of his endorsements suck. But he has earned the respect of anyone who values this nation as the land of the free.

183 159 It will take *generations* of conservative governance to fix what the Democrats have taken *generations* to break.

Which is why it will never happen sans a national divorce. And even then it is unlikely. Hard work and personal responsibility will never be able to compete in the long term with the promise of free crap and free-from-consequences lifestyle. And virtue signaling for those who behave but want to appear virtuous.

Posted by: Mookie at July 13, 2022 08:50 PM (u+Y3T)

The biggest problem with a National Divorce is that other nations will exploit the split in every way they can. The Red United States of America will make out better than the Blue USA, but if the Blue USA becomes part Communist China East and part EU West, after a time we Red citizens may look back fondly at the conditions now.

"As it happens, it was illegal to sell a coffin without a death certificate in California at the time, however the resourceful Richard "Korky" Korkes, Barris’s project engineer, managed to secure a deal under the table with a funeral home in North Hollywood.

Korkes struck the deal, paid in cash and then left the funeral home empty handed. He returned later that night with some colleagues to collect the fiberglass coffin that had been discretely left around the back of the funeral parlor."

Too much Tylenol can cause liver damage. I seem to recall alabama telling us about an ultrasound he got awhile back.

Statins are evil.
And the standard lab levels for just about everything are bullshit and don't take into account age, gender, race, family history or personal history. They're more like guidelines. Is a total cholesterol over 300 bad? Well. It isn't good. But an LDL over 130 isn't bad if you HDL is high and TGs are low. It's about ratios.
It's all a crap shoot.
