The new Disinformation Governance Board - part of the DHS, which has absolutely no authority to do this - is intended to address the number one threat facing the world today: Reality. Mark this date as when the US govt created the Ministry of Truth, for real. This ministry is headed by Nina Jackoffiwtiz, a certified lunatic, who signs Julie Andrews parodies about misinformation: https://tinyurl.com/y33kx89j As I said last ONT, this convinces me we're in a simulation. Nina Jacfoffiwitz, our new Minister-ette of Truth wrote a book about womyns online on the Internet. She said the being a woman online is an inherently dangerous act. I relayed that to Miley, my Duchess here. She thought, and said, you know getting hooked up with you had to the most dangerous thing in the world. I mean, she drove down here, sight unseen to be mine, and here she is, home and loved. An inherently dangerous act that paid off. On the simulation thing: There was an episode of Star Trek where Kirk and some crew members visited a strange planet and wandered about. If they thought of some person, that person would magically appear in person right before them. I had something nearly exactly like that happen on Good Friday. A person I had been researching during the pandemic suddenly appeared out of nowhere and walked right past me. If my wife hadn't seen and thought the same thing, knew her face and height I would think I had lost my mind. I think the universe likes to fvck with us once in a while. Woodrow Wilson got us into WWI, after promising he wouldn't. Some people were mad about that, and began anti-war demonstrations and speech. Woodrow didn't like that, and had them arrested. The fire in the crowded theater ruling upheld that shit. Oliver Wendall Holmes, Jr, overated POS, compared opposition to the war, and the draft, to falsely shouting fire in the crowded theater. That was one of three of his trifecta of shit rulings. The other two were forced sterilization of "mental defectives", of which he wrote, "three generations of idiots is enough". The third was the anti-trust baseball exception, where he stated that baseball was not interstate commerce. The "fire in the theater" decision has long been since overturned, thank God. Oliver Wendall Holmes, Sr, was a poet, physician, and polymath. One of his famous poems was the "The Wonderful One-Hoss Shay, or the Deacon's Masterpiece". It was about a deacon who designed the perfect carriage. He reasoned that everything such thing had a weak link, some part that failed before the rest. So he endeavored to create something where every part was as good as the rest, and nothing would fail first. The one-hoss shay lasted for over 100 years. Then, all of the sudden, everything failed at once, and it collapsed into dust, all at once. His son should have stuck to poetry. Johnson asks the right questions. He will get disinformation in return.
I am concerned DHS’s Disinformation Board will only serve to silence or censor those voices critical of your disastrous policies and serve a political cover for your failure to secure the border. Provide the statute allowing DHS to create the Disinformation Board, appoint board members, and assign or hire staff. How does DHS define “misinformation”? What does DHS consider to be “irregular migration”? What does DHS consider to be misinformation about irregular migration? What DHS component or office is responsible for monitoring and collecting data on “misinformation”? How many staff are tasked with this assignment? The "one-hoss shay" is an economics model for a type of step function depreciation, I'm reading about it. It's something that has the same value over time until it collapses to zero, all at once. "Shay" comes for chaise, which in French means "chair'. A chair is something used an approximation to that step function depreciation model. A light bulb is another. I suppose marble from Vermont has been ordered for the new DHS’s Disinformation Board headquarters. Polished floors and statues, lots of statues. You don't expect these workers to work in a rented, double wide do you?
Posted by: Colin Travertine marble from Italy is more likely, many freighters of it. They don't care about the cost and then the EPA can list more carbon 'damage'. Win! /s Posted by: AZ deplorable moron at April 29, 2022 07:41 AM (6X8wp) 201

/s Posted by: AZ deplorable moron at April 29, 2022 07:41 AM (6X8wp) Then cut themselves checks for the carbon offsets. Yes, double carbon offsets somehow as marble is calcium carbonate (when heated it gives off CO2 and leaves behind quicklime). Posted by: Ciampino at April 29, 2022 07:49 AM (qfLjt) 208

So Senator Johnson has written a letter to Sec. Mayorkas demanding answers on our new overnight toadstool-of-terror Ministry of Truth. Was it a sternly-worded letter? I trust it was a very sternly worded. And other senators have harrumphed in stern-worded fashion.
And when the responses come back as lies or when there are no responses at all? Then what? This abomination is a direct assault on the lodestar of our Constitution and anything short of call for the resignation of the Secretary, the dissolution of the Department, the impeachment of the President for violating his oath of office and an historic crisis of abuse in our government is just another limpdick-loser futile flailing of our bottomlessly pathetic GOP.
