1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Sunday, April 17, 2022, Easter Sunday. On this date in 1905 the Supreme Court decided Lochner v. New York, which holds that the "right to free contract" is implicit in the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Of course that is absolute BS.

Its called the flu now, and we don't want sniffles and fever to take over our lives. What is going to stop the students from partying off campus and mingling with unprotected people. As the sun rises in the east, some 'experts' just can't wait to lock everything down. Ever heard of the flu shot, anyone?

30 Morning, Happy Easter everyone. I always have something playing in the background and thought I would play Jesus Christ Superstar. Seems Utube has done a good job blocking any full versions of the original album, so I'm listening to a 1996 BBC radio live version featuring Roger Daltrey of The Who. It's pretty well done. There has been an argument of what was the true first rock opera, JCSS or Tommy. What say you? Kinda ironic this version features the singer from The Who ya?

35 Hi. Up early again. Must be one of them old guy things. its' 0430 here, and I was lying in bed not sleeping.

Got me a doctor's appointment Monday morning. Had to fill out a pre-check-in on line. They had that stupid line of questioning about sexual identity (I checked I ain't a fag) and preferred pronouns. I filled in my first and last name for the stupid pronouns thing. I should have put "you" and "y'all" since most folks address each other in the second person.

At least there were no questions about icky guns. that would have been a bridge too far for me. Makes me think having Dr. Nick Riviera as my doc isn't such a bad idea.

93 A lot of progressives think there is a category of "not groomer." But one is either "groomer" or "anti-groomer." Being "not groomer" is just a way to perpetuate systemic grooming.

For example, we estimate a typical recent medical school graduate will effectively receive nearly $50,000 of debt cancellation, a recent law school graduate will get $30,000 of cancellation, and a recent masters degree recipient will get $13,500. At the same time, a recent bachelors degree recipient will get $4,500 of debt cancellation, someone who just completed an associates degree will receive $3,500, and a person who was unable to complete their undergraduate degree will get $2,000.

I've noticed a peculiar shift in dress at our parish (which has two buildings because it was merged).

Time was, the "student center" was very casual in dress while the actual church was still very formal. Lots of suits and dresses on Sunday. My kids liked going with the students because college sweatshirts were predominant.

Now both buildings are more casual BUT the substance of the Mass is much more traditional as are the decorations. I'm also seeing more women wearing mantillas and of course there are nuns in attendance. That's a big change.

Good Friday Mass was packed. I've never seen one that full. When the priest came to give the homily he expressed amazement and joy that so many people were there. The same was true on Ash Wednesday.

We're planning on getting to Mass a half-hour early today just to be safe.

197 Peter and the other disciple started for the tomb. Both were running, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. He bent over and looked in at the strips of linen lying there but did not go in. Then Simon Peter came along behind him and went straight into the tomb. He saw the strips of linen lying there, as well as the cloth that had been wrapped around Jesus head. The cloth was still lying in its place, separate from the linen. Finally the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed.

It's what the left does, instead of arguing the merits of a thing, which the left can't because their agenda is evil and retarded, they throw out the charge of racism to side track the issue and make the other person spend time having to defend against the charge.

Basically anytime someone has hurled that charge at me I tell them if you do not stop slandering me, I am going to punch you in your stupid face because merely leveling that charge can have serious occupational and societal repercussions.

231 I was disappointed with Risen. It was Sonys first "big budget" Christians film so it had good production values often missing in the genre.

But the premise of the Centurion as a detective investigating the mystery of the Resurrection is thrown overboard too early by just having it all revealed to him.

Having him join in celebration with the disciples was a good conversion story but eliminated the mystery which I thought was a better plot and more Biblical.

the amusing part is the pickle that BIden and Co. have put themselves in over this. They know they need to do it if they are to have any hope of getting under 30 rich white leftists (their only true base) to the polls. BUT look how many people, even on their own side, will be furious! Do you think any black voters, or hispanic voters, or older voters, all who have no student debt, or going to be thrilled at watching all this money handed out for free to a pack of rich white twinks?

Biden has to hand out the money; but the dems are also going to destroy what's left of their coalition if he does. The original BBB was intended to hand out cash for *everyone*; that's why it was so catastrophic for their side when it died.

265 From what I can determine, the war between Ukraine and Russia epitomizes the wish that both sides could lose.

Both will by the time this is over.

267 #242 BTW, hhs.gov has altered the transcript to read "Covid-19]/b] is killing [nonwhites] at double the rate" when the Secretary clearly said "vaccines".

And that's where we are, and everyone knows it. FWIW, I've ben impressed by the coverage Aaron Mate and his colleagues have brought to the net. He's a big lib, but does not support our left on many things, especially the IC and the fake revolutions, bioweapons labs, and the refusal of our media to present to talk about this. He's had interviews with some very good people who have knowledge of NATO operations and such. I'm sure I'd disagree with him on many things, but he's not for suppressing the truth.

the amusing part is the pickle that BIden and Co. have put themselves in over this.

I agree. It's kind of a damned if you do and damned if you don't. But so far when this junta has 2 options, they always pick the one that is most damaging to the country.

273 Be very very careful with this. I had an annual the day before my Mom died. I went because I needed my BP and sleeping meds. So now I have depressed, sad, and angry as part of my records that gets pulled up every time I visit.

During a regular teeth cleaning, the hygienist, who recently returned from a professional conference eagerly claimed that flossing is linked to reduced cases of pancreatic cancer.

Six months later, she was going through the chart asking the usual questions, and remembering her wisdom stupidly said "fighting against pancreatic cancer by flossing". She only heard and wrote down the first part - clearly forgetting her previous conference training.

Six months after that, a new hygienist, looked at my charts and asked how my battle against pancreatic cancer is going. As a heavy person, I paused, and said "Look at me, do I in any way or form look like I have pancreatic cancer?"

Another case of "Look at the patient, not the chart", and like standing in the TSA line, never joke about anything - it will be taken the absolutely worse way.

274 "Tommy was an album"

So was the original release of Jesus Christ Superstar, released in October 1970, over a year after "Tommy."

Ian Gillan of Deep Purple performed the role of Jesus on the album. I preferred his performance to that of Jeff Fenholt in the stage show.

To my mind, the album was more compelling than the
Broadway show, which opened in the fall of 1971. Its art direction was garish and ugly, but Ben Vereen's performance as Judas was outstanding.
