Let me point out that none of this matters because the media is absurdly corrupt and works hand-in-hand with the Democrats.

Instapundit used to cite this observation about "appearance of impropriety" ethical standards, and how corrupt institutions love talking about 'appearance of impropriety" violations: because it lets them pretend they're so ethical they have no actual impropriety violations to patrol, so are now down to patrolling the mere appearance of impropriety violations.

But of course they're hopelessly corrupt, and have many, many genuine impropriety violations they could call out -- but they cover those up.

So no, it does not matter that Jen Psaki is working for the government at the same time she's negotiating final contract points with a media company because she was always working for the Democrat Party no matter which job she's technically serving in, and even pretending this is a real ethics question obscures the real ethical violations that almost all reporters commit every single day.

She's not changing occupations; she's working for the same leviathan corporation. She's just changing Departments.

Thanks, G'rump. He did rally at the beginning of March, when I first scheduled his euthanasia. It was almost as if he knew, and started eating 3 times a day and walking a little better. It didn't last. A week ago we had a local mobile vet come over, to spare him the stress of traveling to the vet office, and it all went very well.

That means that for the car, you are spending the money on energy used to mine and manufacture. And then on coal to make electricity. Instead of on gas. High cost = high CO2

I'd love to say "I can't believe these people are so out of touch" but they are. All it takes is a weekend of study to find out pretty much everything there is to know about the state of the EV at this point. Not only cost, but serious issues.

And these dummies are talking about saving $80 a month by buying an $80k EV (or twice that), and having $700/month car payments. I don't suppose it's dawned on them that not everybody has that sort of dosh, not to mention what does a typical contractor do? Trade in his F150 for what exactly?

Definitely a tough one. The only other semiauto .308 platforms I can think of off the top of my head that aren't AR based are the CETME, the FN-FAL, and the PTR-91 (an HK-91 clone).

Its not throttling. Its something on the site that eats up bandwidth. Because I can be running a youtube video in another window and loading up AOS will cause the video to lag out so its something on the page. I usually assume its the ads (and not the new additions because this would happen before they were added) or like something faulty in the coding.

The FAL can be pricey. For the money, get a PTR-91FR.

Best bang for the buck, you can learn how to do a trigger job on-line and lots of aftermarket parts and do-dads.

Trigger packs already worked over are always for sale on line too if you don't feel like doing it yourself.

This is true, but moving parts are not such a downside. Just look at the surge in mechanical watches. If the design is static, they can be very reliable but the emission laws prevented that and each new motor design to be more efficient is also less reliable for the first few years.

So now the rich buy mechanical watches and electric cars. In 10 years that will reverse. They will buy mechanical cars and the poor will be stuck with subscription service golf carts to get to their call center jobs.

Yes, visit the Tesla fan forums sometime and you'll start to get it. They get themselves excited about planning their road trips, sit down with a calculator and figure out how far they can get off of what % of a charge, and how long it'll take. It's fucking easier to plot a flight chart.

And they claim they love hanging out for 3 hours to get a 60% charge, and meet all the swell people. Talk about BLM, their transitioning child, favorite meat substitute, all the usual stuff.

To me, a road trip - a proper road trip - means if you see a billboard that says "Uncle Willard's Reptile Pond and BBQ - 30 minutes ahead and Left on Cytoplasm Blvd" you go without worrying about the timing at the next charging station.

What's your beef with the AR10? A DPMS Gen1 style rifle will generally outshoot any FAL or CETME while being lighter, with a better recoil impulse.

I have an old CETME C from Century I got many years ago.

One of the most accurate rifles I own and built like a tank.

I got lucky as Century can be hit or miss, especially back in the day.
