Kevin McCarthy hosted a fund-raiser for Harriet Hageman, who will be the Republican nominee for Wyoming Congressman in November, God willing.

Although Liz Cheney will also be running, as a spoilsport "Independent" with Democrat backing. Numerous Democrats, including AllahPundit, have called for Democrats to support Cheney's sore loser "independent" bid.

Which makes it all the more perplexing to me why AllahPundit and NeverTrump keep whining that we should be more welcoming and supportive of Liz Cheney.

Why? You've all admitted that she's running against the Republican candidate in November, allied with the Democrats, and you've encouraged her to do so. Democrats continue talking up this possibility -- and Liz Cheney has not ruled out running as an Independent with Democrat backing.

NeverTrump continues supporting Democrats, and continues running against Republicans, and then keeps whining that "Conservative SJWs" aren't respecting their Free Speech Rights to remain in a party while actively sabotaging it and supporting Democrats.

As I've mentioned before: The most important rights of free association concern the rights of political parties to set the rules for their membership. Otherwise, hostile political groups, like the NeverTrump Neocons, can just take over your party and subvert it and change its fundamental mission.

The Constitution recognizes this as the most critical free association right, but the demented alcoholic gasbag AllahPundit keeps whining that it's some kind of violation of the First Amendment to cast the NeverTrumpers out.

At any rate: Kevin McCarthy held a fundraiser for Liz Cheney's opponent, and Liz Cheney, get this, snarked that that makes her opponent the "Washington Insider."

Liz Cheney, who literally grew up in Washington, DC, and has only touched down briefly in Wyoming to meet with Democrat media and to fundraise, is claiming a real Wyoming resident is the "Washington Insider."

Could be. Typically if it's stripped even if partially you should be able to back it out. If you sink it low enough you may have captured it or cross threaded it to the point you have burrs holding it in. Quite a feat BTW. Anyway, you may want to get a smith on it. I had a similar situation once and drilled it, then backed it out using a tap and t handle. But it's tricky.

Wedge a piece of sturdy plastic (like a guitar pick) underneath the loading gate, then slowly and carefully try to back the screw out, while exerting upward pressure with the wedge loading gate. With luck, you only stripped the screw and will need to clean up the threads and get a new screw.

Yeah, I just looked at my Marlin's loading gate. Wedge between loading gate and receiver to put tension on the screw while you attempt to unscrew it. The point about a gunsmith is well-taken. He will perhaps have the new screws, most likely, and the tap to chase the threads. It appears that worst case is you'll be buying a new loading gate and screw. But it should not be too difficult to get it apart with some tension on the loading gate with the wedge.

For those keeping score, the Ruble "crashed" for 30 days. After the announcement of only accepting payments in Rubles and the self proclamation of 5000r/oz gold they came back full circle to the ruble being completely worthless to being mostly worthless. Russia wants to upend the "PetroDollar" and start a NWO but the problem is that his "PetroRuble" only feeds back into his economy and doesn't propagate his currency out into the global economy.

TLDR; He's only going to inflate his rubles even more and exacerbate the shittiness of his currency.

yeah, he needs other currencies. But Russia can feed and fuel itself, China cannot. (afaik) ... Europe can't fuel themselves, not sure about food. Lots of oil and gas in the Leviathon field ... Israel has a big chunk of that, I think Turkey is trying to claim a bunch, Greece sold their interest? Beyond me what energy games are really going on

One of my HS senior elective was home economics for a half year. Place was packed with possible future Mrs Beartooth. The teacher was probably a mid twenties blonde newlywed. She often came to class in sort of a daze with a simple satisfied smile. You could ask her anything when she was in that state. Her answers were quite revealing.

I mean, at this point a gold backed currency could become a "backup reserve currency" which might actually go light years in helping cool down ambitions of rivals. But Democrats can't be having of that kind of "non-sense" cause then the big guy would have his 10% reduced to 8%

If you are really interested in how the Energy game is played, it comes down to who has the fields/leases and who has the Rigs/Tech to extract the minerals(oil + gas + all the other shit that comes w/ the well). As of right now the USA still dominates due to our knowledge of directional drilling + working experience. The rest of the world is still playing catchup. It's kinda similar to who's got the biggest Navy.

That's how it works in the civil service and university. If you do the maximum years (something like 32-35 years), your retirement is 80% of your last 2 years' pay. 20 years would be [0.8 x (20/35)] = 45% of final salary, and so on. Factor in either free or very low medical costs too.
At colleges I have seen favored profs get some sort of high end admin position for their last 2-3 years to boost retirement pay packet. Meanwhile low end non-tenured staff get laid off when their salary gets too high. Sorry, we had a reorganization and your position has been eliminated (or you have to reapply for the post - and they'll hire some fresh-out-of-school greenhorn at an entry=level wage).
