The Deep State's Embed at Fox News Jen Griffin Continues to "Report" By Reading Statements Delivered to Her by Her Pentagon "Sources"

They're not her sources, they're her handlers.

She claims the biolabs that Victoria Nuland admitted to yesterday are just "Soviet era" labs, which the US has been trying to "clean out," her handlers claim, since the fall of the Soviet Union.

In 1991.

So she's claiming that the US has been trying, but failing, to "clean out" these laboratories for over 30 years. And they're still filled with biological weapons -- so filled with biological weapons that Victoria Nuland explicitly set down the pre-spin that if any of these weapons are released, Russia Did It.

It's been thirty fucking years of the US trying to "clean these Soviet era labs out" and they're still stocked to the top shelves with bioweapons?

Now, you have to be careful in dealing with bioweapons, but they're not like spent nuclear material -- you can destroy them. Easily. It just takes a lot of UV light.

Or, even simpler: A pit and a lot of kerosene.

Right. This is very literally Not Rocket Science. Yes, you have to be careful in handling the material, but it's not exactly a state secret regarding the destruction of the stocks.

These are nonsenselies but Jennifer Griffin dutifully reads from her script. Glowing with pride as she proudly serves her Pentagon Masters.

Even more appallingly, she then claims that anyone who questions this script is repeating Russian Disinformation aimed at these labs.

Here's a version of The Cover Story I could buy:

After the fall of the Soviet Union, the US wanted to create make-work projects for former Soviet missile and nuclear scientists so that they did not sell their expertise to Iran and North Korea making missiles and nuclear bombs.

So we spent a lot of money on stuff like the International Space Station and the heavy lift rockets (built in Russia) to get it into space.

We overspent on low-priority projects because the real priority was keeping these guys paid in jobs that were not a threat to us.

So I could believe that, since the fall of the Soviet Union, the US has paid these Ukranian former-Soviet bioweapons scientists to run non-weapons research for us.

Maybe, maybe that's what it is.

So why wouldn't they say so?

Well, possibly because they've been among the labs contracted to do the dangerous gain-of-function virus research that the fucking lunatic supervillain Anthony Fauci is so keen on.

And of course the government would not admit that -- all they do now is lie to a populace who they are convinced will do nothing about these constant lies.

Alternately: Maybe Ukraine feels exposed, having been pressured to giving up its nukes, and has maintained the bioweapon labs to have, at least, a biological deterrent.

But they don't want to admit our Ukranian Heroes would ever do something like that.

So they just lie. And lie some more. And lie and lie and lie and lie and lie and then when people say "These are all obviously lies, and not even crafty ones," you call them Russian Disinformation Merchants.

And then they send out Jennifer Griffin to read senseless bullshit from a "fact sheet" and Fox News calls it "reporting."

I bet the leftwing news industry gives her awards for her "service."

I kinda doubt it. Even if this was the plan - and it might have been, it sounds reasonable enough - it's too much temptation. Having laboratories and research scientists in these fields would be too juicy an opportunity. Even if it started as something like this, you can be sure someone would ask, "why are we paying all this for nothing instead of paying all this for something we can use? Why don't we use this to run something like Operation Paperclip, only none of them actually come here?"

And if this is how the scheme started, that inflection point probably happened by 1995.

Living in the South I've made it a habit over the years to hit the Huntsville space center tour and kick around Redstone every few years.

I was there back in the 90s when the kids were still little and we were taking the tour at Redstone. They showed us one of the crew modules for the ISS they built there. It had been sitting there for the last couple of years waiting for the Russians to build the next part. I asked the guide what that was supposed to be and he said it was one of the interconnecting airlocks. It took another few years from what I heard for this module to finally get completed by the Russians.

This is also during the time frame of the Clinton term when there were all kinds of rumors flying around about plane loads of cash being sent to Russia in the middle of the night.

Because the Russian part has the only thrusters powerful enough for significant debris avoidance and orbit re-boost maneuvers, and for attitude hold for dockings of vehicles to ISS. Only the Russians can refill the on-board tanks for those thrusters, and only Russia can control all of that from the ground, if needed.

A wonderful situation, no?

Musk may be able to provide enough Dragons at the ISS simultaneously to enable non-Russian ISS maneuvers and attitude control using the Dragon thrusters. But not for an unknown time from today.

Yeah triangulating against China would be the smart move.

In the crude 3-player model, we're the biggest player, China is second, and Russia is third. Russia is threatened by both parties, but luckily in our case, they are actually more threatened by China than us. If Russia simply does not help China, China loses to us. Maintaining the two-weaker parties alliances is actually harder than being the solo player.

Though when you stretch out the model for a longer time horizon, this is mooted by US decline.

Never had one for hydrogenation in any of the many places I worked at but we did have such a shed in Cambridge MA for work involving fluorine gas. (Almost) everything burns in fluorine, even brick and cement.

540 No. You're way off base.

1) Biological weapons are often incredibly difficult and expensive to destroy. You can't just chuck them on a fire and hope none of it gets airborne.
Disposal can be multi-stage which can include draining the munition, destroying the munition in a vacuum chamber and transporting the pathogen for destruction in something like a Plasma Energy Pyrolysis System.

2) You heard what you wanted to from Nuland's statement. It seems's to me that she pointed out (in response to the question 'Does Ukraine have chemical or biological weapons?') that Ukraine has facilities no different than Porton Down or Fort Detrick.

542 Further, considering Russia seems just fine with using chemical weapons, including recently on a NATO member, Ukraine would be stupid not to have a facility where they identify, respond and counteract to any attack on their own soil.
It's obviously better to be able to medically treat people quickly in the event of a CBRN attack than have to wait for lab results to come back from another country.
