A MISSING man's body has been found decomposing inside an encasing of concrete in his bathtub in Hawaii.
Honolulu Police are looking for suspects Scott Hannon, 34, and Juan Tejedor Baron, 23 - police say Baron and the victim were in an intimate relationship.
Police originally were sent to the 73-year-old victim's Hawaii Loa Ridge home Monday following a missing person's report from the victim's brother.
The unnamed victim reportedly owned the house, which is located in an affluent gated community.
Authorities returned to the scene later that afternoon following no response that morning. They found and questioned Baron at the home, who claimed that he lived there.
“It didn’t appear suspicious at that time,” HPD's Lieutenant Deena Thoemmes said. “Missing persons detectives notified and responded to the scene to continue the investigation.”

Gary Road Elementary School in Byram chose to lay off Toby Price without a warning after he read Dawn McMillan's book, 'I Need a New Butt,' to seven-and eight-year-old students last week, WJTV reported.
Price confirmed he was given the boot in a Facebook post from March 7, sharing that he had been fired 'for reading an awesome book to kids'. He also created a GoFundMe page, in which he shares that 'I Need a New Butt' is a 'funny silly book' and 'a book that kids love'.

A Florida woman is facing DUI charges after deputies found her with a car full of deodorant spray.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office says 31-year-old Katherine Theodore huffed multiple cans of the deodorant before getting behind the wheel on Sunday.
Deputies pulled her over and noticed a stack of empty Right Guard deodorant spray cans in her car. The sheriff's office said she also appeared impaired. and that a strong scent of the spray was in her car.
According to the sheriff's office, Theodore initially said she sprayed the deodorant because she liked the smell of it. She later admitted she drank alcohol earlier in the day, and then huffed the deodorant while driving her car.

the numbers for the unvaccinated are hard to chase down because the definition keeps changing, people dying in the first two weeks are not considered vaccinated, and the unvaccinated numbers themselves are so low because of the "get vaxxed or get fired / get vaxxed or get barred from public venues" mandates.

I myself lost my job over the mandates. Not everyone could make the decision I was able to make.

If not teething, biteyness is mostly just hard playing. I used to discourage it by meowing/hissing like another cat would when it hurt. They can forget how we don't have thick fur pelts when they get worked up.

Many recommend wand toys or even a stuffed animal to get the bitey parts farther from the hand.

given his age and history, it could just be some anxiety. can you pinpoint times and or activitirs when he is more bitey than others? what's happening then? stuff outside, specific commercial on tv (splotchy hated the car commercial with a doorbell for some reason), some noise like the heater or a/c kicking on/off. try to isolate what is going on innjis worls whenhe does that. may help, may not. but if you can id and remove a stressor in his world, he'll live longer and be happier.

You're right, it is kind of a documentary about a-holes. The story is weak; but what's so great is the improv by Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Murray, and of course the over the top preening of Ted Knight. That's what we watch the movie for.

Several stories about how it was put together, but the one I think is the most true is that production started, and everyone realized they had a total dog of a script that was bomb. So the producers quickly hired Dangerfield and Murray without having any lines written for them; they told both of them just to improv their way through. It shows; whenever either of them has a line, no one on the set had any idea what they were going to say.

It's actually pretty hysterical. Nothing LGBT, sexual, or anything at all. Pretty much the point of view of a standard 8/ 9 year old boy who thinks he has a bad butt which has a crack in it. If you like that kind of humor, it's pretty good. If you use your pinky finger to drink your Earl Grey every day, you won't laugh.

My two daughters, 12 and 13, thought it was very funny indeed. Ask me again in 3 years and it will be nothing but eye rolling, of course.

Speaking of history, Excellent Brit Historians Tom Holland and Dominic Sandbrook have a fantastic podcast called "The Rest is History" that I highly recommend. They bring a lot of fun and new information to each subject they spotlight and it's one of the best pods out there.

I believe Donna, Queen of the Ampersandians is a listener and would second my recommendation.

Well the scablands were from a lake, Lake Missoula, formed when glaciers blocked their own meltwater. Every so often the cork would pop and a zillion gallons of water would pour out trying to find the Pacific. Repeat several times.

I'm less sure about the Colorado, the usual thing is land uplift being worn down by a pre-existing river like a wire cutting cheese.

As for the Biblical Flood, you'd think we'd be all scablands and Canyons with that much water.

Ted Knight's character isn't supposed to be "believable"; he's supposed to be an over the top upper class buffoon, to contrast with Dangerfield's working class buffoon. The comedy is in the interplay between them.

For me the difference is that in Animal House, they actually seem to be enjoying themselves. Caddyshack you can tell a lot of the cast hated each other.

Same with my other guilty pleasure movies... Like Ski School... or 'Up the Creek'.

My memories of the '70's seem to blend together. Your post made me recall that you are indeed accurate. I remember playing that album were I was living in '76, at the UW. In my prime trouble making years.

You definitely got lucky, Tom. I do believe Against the Wind that really clicked got me interested in Bob Seger. The title track is a wonderful and moving story of a life on the road. "Betty Lou's Getting Out Tonight" is a fun song about a girl who's fun. "We've Got Tonight" is not exactly a plea from the heart, but he's being very sincere. "Fire Lake" is one of my top ten Seger songs. Then I began to recognize his other songs and enjoy them too. I even like "Shakedown".

Kinda the story of Boston, as well. Scholz worked on the first album's songs FOREVER. Then they had to put out Don't Look Back within 18 months of their debut according to their contract with Epic. Scholz was not happy with Don't Look Back but I loved it. And then it took 8 years for Third Stage.

I have three vinyl album covers that are somewhat rare: The original Aerosmith album cover, with the small bio of the band on the back and a smaller 'postage stamp' photo of the band on the front, not the later full-cover one. Then I have the Lynyrd Skynyrd 'Street Survivors' lp which I bought just before the crash. The cover has the flames on the front; when re-released after the crash, the flames were gone. My third cover that is, uhm, unusual, yeah that's the word, is Uriah Heep's 'Demons and Wizards'. I don't know how they did it but the band got that cover past the censors. If you look at the origin of the milky river, you'll see it's a vagina. One of the rocks over which that river flows is a tumescent penis quite close to that vagina. I call it The Uriah Heep Pr0n Album Cover. Of course Yes had some great album cover art. And then there's King Crimson's In 'The Court of the Crimson King' cover which is interesting.

I just watched my recording of Tucker tonight re the Ukraine biolab thing. Wow.

Even before the segment was over, with Tulsi Gabbard talking about it, the US state dept tweeted out "We don't own any Ukraine biolabs!" and some statement that US fully complies with all treaty obligations yada yada about bio and chemical weapons.

The US govt was shitting its pants about this info getting out.

I was working under the Jeep today, and I took it out of my pocket to avoid rolling over onto it, and pressing the damn buttons. Set it on the windshield of the Jeep, resting against the windshield wiper. Forgot it was there, and drove off. It must have slid off somewhere, and landed on the road, and gotten squashed. Or else a hobo picked it up. Dialing the number from another phone, it went straight to voicemail, so "squashed" is the smart money bet.

I never claimed it was valuable; check Ebay. I just said that if the label says Nemperor, drop that needle on it. Though they did handle a few pop groups.

He also played on an Alphonse Mouzon (another jazz drummer) album. I only found out about his first group, Zephyr, way after his death. He had a unique sound, that's for sure. I watched a video of some famous rock guitarist talking about TB. The guy said he once visited him and found that he never cleaned his guitar strings. TB asked him if he should do that? Apparently, TB was very childlike . . . then dead at 25. Didn't even make the 'rock stars who died at 27' list. Another of those 'I wonder what he could have accomplished if he lived?' rockers. He was so incredibly musically diverse. 'Savannah Woman' is stunningly beautiful, a really smooth jazz/rock tune.

557 Well, I am going to go to bed. Past 0100 here. Despite losing the feckking fone, I did get the Jeep pretty well sorted out. Lowered the transfer case a tetch to optimize driveline angles, and cut the rear driveshaft and extended it by 1.5" to make it ride at its old location in the t-case spline. I was very careful when cutting and welding it to maintain phase and balance, and it seems to have paid off. Had it out on the freeway, and no detectable vibration at 65 mph. The Jeep rides and drives quieter than it did before the work was done. It's a long step up to get in it, though.

What gets me is Sabato thinks we are so dumb. He has been involved with that school for 51 years? Then he has seen how far it has fallen.

There was a prof there that taught history. His students loved him and he was regularly recognized as the most respected teacher at UVA. You don't hear much from him these days. In the early and mid 2000s, he was on every panel, usually he was the moderator. I hope that guy just called it a day. My fear is he got pushed aside. Either way, what has Sabato left to future scholars and undergrad students.

If you were on public transport, Rush Limbaugh was the norm on the radio. On a bus, 18 year old men would give up their seat to a girl. This wasn't once in a while, it was the rule.
