15 I'm late

Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, March 5, 2022. On this day in 1963 country music stars Patsy Cline, Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copas and their pilot Randy Hughes were killed in a plane crash in Camden, Tennessee. A truly sad day for country music.

21 Some of us are reading through the psalms for Lent.
Today it's psalms 10-13

Psalm 10, -a timely one These are the notes from my "Life Application Bible -Why do the wicked succeed? Although God may seem to be hidden at times, He is aware of every injustice.

Psalm 11-God's rule provides stability in the midst of panic.
Because we can trust Him, we can face our problems.

Psalm 12-The proud and lying words of men vs. the true and pure words of God. A call for protection for those who try to manipulate us.

Psalm 13-Praying for relief from despair. We should continue to trust God even when He doesn't answer us immediately.

Each member of the League of Extraordinary Pets in my household is on borrowed time. Old Dog had a stroke Thurs night and was somewhat disoriented and tentative walking around yesterday. He won't eat, but he is taking a little bit of water. He seems fine now, but he does have the stumbling gait. Independent cuss that he is, he's fine and I'm a wreck. 71 58 60 As much as I like to drink (on the wagon for Lent), I've never been able to take a beer break working because it becomes beer quitting time. Used to see guys in the mill, where we had a 15 minute paid lunch break (usually 30-45 minutes), sneak out and slam a couple three beers at the bar down the street. Most came back. Every so often you would see a forklift or other rolling stock in the bar parking lot.

188 Morning all. Delurking long enough to answer JT a ways up thread. The convoy drove through our area on I 70 yesterday. We headed to a rest stop that allowed an upclose view. Mr Dish did his math thing and estimated approx 4-500 trucks as actual convoy members, plus an uncountable number of private cars, RVs, what not. Stood out there for multiple hours either cheering on the convoy or waiting for their arrival. Those not involved in the convoy also honked or waved. Only one 'thumbs down' and one middle finger to our crowd of about 50-75 flag waving patriots. Must suck to be those guys.

Love all you Morons! Lurking mode reactivated.

the fun part is that we CANNOT transition to green. It flat out does not work, that's been the huge lie built into the movement from the very beginning - it's all been based on massive lies, which Germany is facing right now.

Solar and Wind can *never* supply more than about 15% of this country's energy needs, no matter how much is built. Any attempt to push it more leads to total economic collapse and depression. It cannot be done.

So, long way round - I actually WANT them to ban Russian oil, and try to ban the rest. $10 per gallon gas will create such an economic catastrophe that the Greens will be run out of positions of power forever.

They intentionally misconstrue his words, just like always. Trump said that Putin was a "genius" for realizing that Biden could be taken advantage of so easily, and that it never would have happened when Trump was President. That's what they are calling "praise".

Yes, they sure are.

We have a nesting box about ten feet from the TV room window, mounted on the fence. Been watching a pair carry material in and building a nest for about two weeks now.

Plus, the mail loves to fly to the house windows, and perch on the divide between the upper and lower frames, and look around into the house like he is looking for somebody.

Drives the cat nuts, as she likes to stalk the windows, and try to pounce on the birds, on the other side of the glass.

354 Aww, I'm glad you saw the bluebird. They're gorgeous. We have a ton around here. They live in the purple martin houses and gourds, often near (I've never seen directly beside) the martins.

355 "We have a rabbit outside my library window who likes to torture my dogs."

Squirrels do that to our dogs in the unfenced part of the yard. Sometimes we suprise the squirrels and let the dogs out. Great fun.

On nice days, my cats go out in the sunroom, which has a sliding glass door out to the back patio. Naturally, that's where a number of local critters tend to hang out (squirrels, rabbits, birds, etc.). Cats love it! Critters have no idea just how close they are to being murdered...

358 Scholz announced that Germany would increase its defense spending from 1.4% of gross domestic product to the 2% required by NATO.

Another stark reversal: His long-serving predecessor, Angela Merkel, had been keeping defense spending down a stick in the eye of Donald Trump, perhaps and said it couldnt approach 2% for years.

BUT NO MEAN TWEETS
