Tonight I Saw Upon the Stair, An ONT That Wasn't There

Howdy Horde! Boy, another week has gone by, and now we're just 4 days from Valentine's Day. Have you finished buying your gifts?

Not Reading The Room

‘Inspired by Che Guevara and Fidel Castro,’ a New York restaurant missteps in Miami

A New York restaurant modeled after the cafe where Castro and Guevara planned the Cuban revolution is opening in Miami. I can not even conceive how bloody tone deaf one would have to be to think this was a good idea. “Hey, our restaurant whose décor celebrates the bloodthirsty tyrants who terrorized Cuba is doing realy well. Where should we open another one? I know, let's open in the city with the highest population of Cubans who escaped their clutches! Some of them even lost friends and family to his bloody purges! It's a surefire hit!”

Just Deserts

Zhu Yi, figure skater who gave up American citizenship to compete for China, attacked online by Chinese fans after falling during Olympic debut

Fuck Chinese fans. I couldn't care less what they think of her. She failed to make the US team so she turned her coat to compete for China. Turns out she's not good enough to do that either. Probably she will soon “disappear” into a luxury Chinese vacation camp. CNN is aghast US-born figure skater Zhu Yi under attack after fall on Olympic debut for China. Yahoo joins them on the fainting couch Olympians Eileen Gu and Zhu Yi are unfairly caught in the middle of the US and China's geopolitical sniping. Me? I have a different opinion.

Deserve 2.gif

It's time we started remembering that being an American is a privilege and treating it as such. I don't even care if it's competing for a friendly nation instead of an enemy one. I was there when my wife and son took the oath of citizenship. The oath starts:

"I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty, of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;

You want to become an American? Welcome, brother, but don't take the oath unless you mean it.

Indian officer busted after trading secret info with ‘Pakistani spies’ for nude pics

Obviously a honey trap, but this guy didn't even get laid. With an internet full of porn, he betrayed his country for nudes. Nudes! I swear, I saw a social media post from some girl a while back where she was excited to be flying to meet some guy she met online the week before. Didn't have a dime to her name, but “he said that didn't matter to him”. One reply said “If Ted Bundy was active today, he'd be hitting triple doubles every week”.

On Being Woke

The Resentment And Fragility Of Anti-Racism

The author gets right up against what, in my opinion, is the hardest challenge when discussing anti-white racism, but doesn't go over the line. That challenge is decrying anti-white racism without lapsing into white supremacy. Racism is racism. ALL racism, and ALL racism is equally deplorable and must be called out. The only way to end racism is to END it. You can't “make up” for racism by endorsing racism against a different group to “even things out”.

52 It's time we started remembering that being an American is a privilege and treating it as such.

It was luck of the draw. No different than being born a man - which I'm glad I was - or a woman. Or being born in a backwater African nation. It was, quite literally, winning the genetic lottery.

That's how it felt to me, when I came out of the chute in '72. It was way better than being born in Poland or Yugoslavia.

It was the last place on Earth you could be born to be mostly left alone by Government. I could see that, even as an elementary school kid. Well - that shit is gone now.

And now that the particular notion of Classical Liberalism is gone ? I'll not shed a tear for the idea of America. It's just dirt, that I share, with folks I mostly don't like or trust.

A friend of my friend left her husband and children for some guy from Florida that she had met online and had met in person once.
My sister worked with a woman who had 3 kids. This woman met a guy in a bar, and after knowing him for one month was going to have him move into her home. One of her kids was a 15 year old daughter. She was too dumb to realize how dangerous it is to let a virtual stranger live in the same house with her young teen age daughter.

64 Evening, Horde. I am beat tonight. Spent most of the day changing out the oil pump in the Jeep. Filthy job, and I got oil all over me, and I smell like gasoline, which I used to wash the parts. Good news is, the repair is apparently successful, because the Jeep maintained between 30 and 40 pounds oil pressure, all the way back from my buddy's place, where I used his hoist to work on it. The pickup screen on the old oil pump was almost completely blinded off by debris and sludge. New oil pump, new pickup screen, new pan gasket, and cleaned the pan very diligently, so it was clean enough to eat from.

Those things, all those vile things, are permitted to the elite. They are also permitted to the indigent classes, by virtue of the elite's noblesse oblige... They defend their serfs.

But the rest of us usually object to these excesses, with regard to ourselves and neighbors. So, given that all the normals hate this wretched excess, the ruling class loves to gather compromising information on one another, to be used in event of need.

Donation site for Ottawa truckers' 'Freedom Convoy' protest exposed donors' data

TechCrunch was tipped off to the data lapse after a person working in the security space found an exposed Amazon-hosted S3 bucket containing over 50 gigabytes of files, including *passports and driver licenses* that were collected during the donation process.

The exposed bucket had over a thousand photos and scans of passports and driver licenses uploaded since February 4, when the Freedom Convoy's page was first set up on GiveSendGo.

184 rant time on/

Here in the US, a loyalty oath doesn't mean squat to far too many of our citizens. Now, whether these Chinese 'deserters' did or did not take such a vow is irrelevant. They, in a way, justify the roundup of Japs and Germans during WWII. Because "loyalty matters".

In a life or death battle, you don't have time for the niceties of checking everyone out. Put a different way, the Constitution ain't a suicide pact. Maybe close, but no. Loyalty does matter.

Trump got royally hammered for trying to get these same loyalty oaths from the people he hired. Dems don't have this problem, as they can safely assume loyalty from their prior 'admissions' about their political positions. They wear their positions on their sleeves as proof of their loyalty.

And rarely violate their 'beliefs'. Wut.an.Advantage.

185 I'm of the opinion that the whole Clinton Death Count was purely for the fun of killing, and not out of any fear at all.

-----

Close. You don't play if you don't love the game. But while these guys aren't afraid of the people they kill, they fear the ones who they don't know yet, and who may one day threaten them. Nothing says "Don't fuck with me" like the simple fact that everyone who does winds up at room temperature, without fail or delay.

192 No one ever asked me either, yet I served six years in the USMC. No one asked my boys either, yet they are either active or vets. She made her choice, let her reap the consequences.

++++

I have never served, so I don't have personal knowledge, but I thought that an oath was taken when you joined any branch of our armed forces.

If I had been born to my same American parents, but somewhere overseas, I don't know of any country that would have made me a citizen of their country just because I was born there. Assuming they did, and I was raised there, I suppose I would have different feelings about where I belong and who I owed my loyalty to.

But, if that foreign country wanted my allegiance, then they should make me work for it. Not just hand it to me because my parents were there when I was born. If I did want it and was willing to jump though their hoops to get it, then they would be justifiably aggrieved if I turned my back on them after making that commitment to them in the first place.

As far as the skater, I have no problem with her facing the consequences of her choice. I just disagree when some claim that she is a traitor or whatever. She isn't that.

Please grant Jesse the gift of healing, and completely restore his mind, body and spirit in the midst of this stroke. May all the doctors that attend to him treat him with skill and kindness, and we pray that Jesse and SiD can continue in their married life with any lingering signs and memories of this experience quickly overcome by joy, peace, love, and gratitude for your tender presence. Amen.

194 150 Hold on to your ass. The next phase of this insult is going to be epic.

Part of their depopulation effort is to starve us and to ration power among the masses while the elite continue as if nothing has happened.

Just read an article where Pennsylvania is scheduled to decommission 5.6GW of coal power in the next few years. There is no intention on replacing any of it, but we are expected to convert more of the fleet of cars into EVs.

Where they get their power is anyone's guess.
=======
Well this just gives me the warm fuzzies, because Duke Energy in southern Ohio is closing down their old coal plants and building none in replacement. I was expecting we'd get power from coal plants in PA, WV, and KY instead. Well now, maybe not. I wonder if the smart people in Columbus know about this yet?

Partially cause it is all about the money on every level, partially because its hard to care about athletes who mostly are knee-jerk leftists cause they are isolated and pampered and wish to be "cool", and partially because I think they are all becoming more scripted like pro wrestling. Its a little suspicious that after it never happening before, we are on the second year of hometown teams appearing in the SB held in their fancy new stadium. You realize that the NFL is a private sports business, and there is absolutely no law against them fixing games, just as there is no law against the illegitimacy of pro wrestling results. Same with solar power - it works better in space where there's no night or clouds to deal with and you need to bring your own oxygen to burn fuel.

285 "Your point was that as a citizen, no loyalty oath was required of her."

my sister, now a retired teacher, very leftist, thought our Dad was fired as a teacher for refusing the loyalty oath. A letter to me from (PTSD?) Dad showed he was fired for insisting on teaching "the Bible" in his 8th grade civics class.

This is not clear, but a big deal. He went "over the edge" (I barely survived) ... but imo, was he trying to get people saved? I my judgement, no, he was trying to introduce ? the Christian background of individual choice, and sovereign rights. (but he really liked Reinhold Niebuhr, so it is a mystery).

My Mom poignantly remarked I was on his path, when I was later doing my own journey into "Religious Individual Sovereignty" against institutional religion, escaping the status quo.

Religious Freedom, Sovereign rights ... these are vital issues, even for us that do not have children. We need revolution against the institution ... governmental and religious.

383 I'm not going to diss the Anti-Federalists too hard. Some of them actually liked the Articles of Confederation. Some of them were die-hard states' rights guys who didn't want to give up any more power than they had to. Some of them didn't see what the fuss was all about. And some of them were from Rhode Island. The Anti-Federalists fell down on a few issues though. First, most people whose opinion mattered in the OG 13 were fed up with the Articles. Second, the Anti-Federalists had no counter-proposal to offer when called on it. Third, well, read the Federalist which had to be removed from academic study and public discussion to lose its effect on the discussion of Constitutional function. Fourth, George Washington was in favor of the Constitution, which meant the average Joe was willing to hear the argument. The Anti-Federalists went down to defeat, although some of them got the Bill of Rights and the Amendment process added first.

428 sharkman, how is your great niece? How did her surgery go?

Posted by: TecumsehTea

Surgery went very well, and she was awaje and alert today but hurting from having her chest cracked, poor little thing.

Her heart is backward in her chest, so the weaker half that is supposed to pump just to the lungs is forced to pump to the whole body, and vice versa. The ventricle that normally pumps to the lungs only has to pump 15 percent as hard as the whole body ventricle, so the reverse is tough on her heart muscle.

Yesterday they did "banding", which is where they install a rubber band on the strong ventricle to cut down its pumping force, which also forces the weak side muscle to get stronger. In 6 months they'll crack her little chest again and go in and rearrange her major arteries to correct the flow issue that comes from everything being reversed.

She's only 6 and a half, and is the sweetest little girl. I appreciate your asking about her.

447 Bringing it down a notch ... plenty of people with dual citizenship have competed for their parents' home country. I always followed the swimming, and for many years there was a woman competing for Zimbabwe that really was blond, raised, and trained in the US. She was often the chief rival for the leading American...My husband knew a guy in college (inTX) that competed for Mexico because that is where he could make the team. I know China is our chief enemy, but most of the time, the athletes are just trying to make the cut where they can. The US always sends the most competitors, so if they want gold, athletes might have to compete for someone else. I am glad she fell on her butt. Go USA! But I am boycotting this one anyways.

WOW, nifty. there are no doubt, many things about human nature that make such ancient history useful. BUT the distinctions of current digital manipulation make control of "modern man" even easier, I'd think.

Then again, with a real free internet, it would also make "Truth" more instantly available, to pop the bubble of the lies. So in response, the evil ones seek total control of information. ... Real "Truth" is now to be labelled as misinformation, which is now legally defined as "terrorism", instant Death for those that speak RealTruth (redefined as terrorism by the Ministry of Truth)

Sharkman, been thinking about her a lot.

Muchos years ago, MiladyJo and I were at the Chicago comics convention with our (fraternal) twin boys. We ran into a father and (identical-ish) twin sons, and twin-kids talk ensued. Turns out, one of those boys was a mirror-twin. Organs all on the "wrong" side, but everything worked. Looked to me like their very faces were mirrored. Mirror Twin had to have a med bracelet, obviously. (Funny because, unlike most identicals, you always know which of you was the "copy.") I've since read of other genetic reversals that were not so complete, nor so benign.

Turns out that DNA helix can twist either direction, normal, or "reversed," and that's what I thought of with her mis-plumbed heart.

I just think, her heart is (otherwise) probably sound, she is young, it's "just" replumbing, not something alien like a transplant, and modern medicine (Fauci-ism aside) is miraculous. Hope and pray she has a full and long and healthy life, once Man fixes what Nature oopsied.

489 To summarize tonight's ONT, and taking our cue from the soccer played in the archery field, we have the following:

The Superbowl teams will get to choose Olympic athletes to bring their expertise to the game thereby enhancing the experience for their entire high price ticket buyers.

Stay tuned to see if the athletes send off the Great American Convoy.

The two teams will also be joined by Constitutional scholars and people of prayer.

All of this will join the American people in ways that not even FJB can.

492 The diesel fuel can be rapidly restored, by running it through a centrifuge machine.

"Sweetening" they call the process.

Pro-tip. Sweetening machines can be readily hidden inside any box van or large enough towed cargo trailer.

Water in modern diesels, with the fancy computer control and the high pressure common rail injection system will destroy a modern engine.

With the mechanical injection systems on the older tractors and trucks I'm familiar with, gross amounts of water are bad (can corrosion on the very high tolerance injector pump parts), but it just means the engine won't run, and you've got a mess to clean out and bleed.

If a massive amount of liquid water gets that high pressure rail, the high heat in the injector tips can cause the water to boil to stem and blow the tip off, causing severe damage to a running engine.

This is why you want to make sure what you're putting in the tanks. All systems have water separators, but a massive amount of water will fill those up and get through.

I don't understand this (yet) but the Truckers have some people working with them That Know What the Fuck They Are Doing.

They just played Trudeau's govt for fools on the financing. You may have heard that Trudeau's govt froze the funds from GiveSendGo.

They didn't. The truckers set up a "honey pot", a Canadian company that looked for all the world like it was going to be the one that received the GSG funds. They slapped the restraining order on it.

Meanwhile the actual money goes to a company created in Florida (no accident), which converts it to crypto and transfers the crypto to the truckers.

That made fools of Trudeau's and his financial whiz kids.

Now, Brandon could, of course. They created the company in Florida, which is friendly at the state level. Brandon could probably pull something to stop the dollars from getting to that company.

But once those dollars are converted to crypto, the Canadian govt. can stop it from getting to the truckers.

Yes, the truckers have people working and helping them who have "particular sets of very specific skills".

Those with this particular set of financial transfer mechanics skills are magnificent bastards. The set up, and quickly, a way to get money to the truckers in Canada from the United States that would be untouchable by the Canadian govt.

And then, they set up a brilliant diversion, the honey pot company, to attract the attention of the Canadian govt. and send it down a rathole. They have some people who knew exactly how the Canuck tyrants think and how to fool them.

The Canadian govt was looking for how they would do it. They gave them exactly what they were looking for, with bells on, and let them chase that snipe while they were setting up and executing the real crypto transfer system.

Anyone with sense can understand that by uplifting a group without making them a part of the uplift will make that group feel special and that they deserve all the special stuff someone else has. And they will work hard at providing reasons why that should be so.

Altho there were a few attempts, the Black slave never freed themselves. It was White people. It's been Whites all along the timeline that have raised them up from the oppression of others. Sure they boycotted a few bus companies but it was the federal government National Guard that got them into school and after that bar was broken the south gave up and switched around so they could pretend to be their saviors. And it remains thus to this day. Because the Whites who are prejudiced against in some manner are mostly Republican or those who align with what the Republicans claim as their ideal. And that's how that slope goes.

Speaking of water in diesel fuel, I'll tell you a good one. Back many moons ago, we had the tractors all out at place we were farming near Fountain Inn. We'd we do those fields, we get all the tractor and equipment over there. We'd carry fuel to them in a 55 gal drum, with hand pump in the bung hole. It would take several trips sometimes if we'd let them all get low.

Anyway, unbeknownst to us, the metal around the bunghole, where the pump screwed in got fatigued and cracked about halfway around. It rained big one night, with that drum half fuel of fuel in the back of the truck.

So, we pumped about a gallon of water into one of the tractor tanks.

Now, that much water just fills up the filter/water separator unit in no time and pumps water right to the pump. When that water hits, well, the engine starts acting funny. I remember it surged, white smoke, started skipping, then died. WTF.

Soon figured out the injector pump was slap full of water. Shit fire. Fuck, fuck, fuck fuckity fuck. Get that shit out quick. Priority was getting the water out of that pump and the injector lines. My father put "Marvel Mystery Oil" (don't know if they still make that) in quick, to help prevent corrosion in the pump.

Then, opened the drain plug in the tank and drained as much water off the bottom as possible. Then, using the little hand lift pump lever, pumped and pumped until pure diesel fuel started coming out the line. New fuel filters, and then hooked it back up and got pure diesel back in the pump. Now, bleed, bleed, bleed, until every last bit of air was out.

She cranked and ran. Every 30 minutes at first, I had to stop, and drain the fuel filters. A good bit of water was still in there. Then it finally cleared up.

Those common rail injector systems operate at just 30,000 psi, BTW.

Now, peak pressures on the old mechanical injector pump systems I knew would be around 2 - 3K psi.

You can see why air is so bad if it gets in the pump. All that air does is compress and the pressure doesn't rise enough to open the injectors.

You've got to get all that air out. That's why running a diesel out of fuel is a Very Bad Thing to do.

And now, purely coincidentally, California is going after Tesla for being racist.

I'm sure that has nothing to do with Elon moving to Texas

No, probably that he's created wildly successful NON-UNION firms in California.

He would NEVER do it, but if he let the UAW into Tesla all the issues would disappear.

563 Kbear had tweet link to Canadian's arguing with the latest media spin. The media are asking if "they are putting their kids in danger by bringing them to the protest". I worked with a guy who escaped from Poland with his family when the commies were in control there. He told me that when Solidarity held negotiations with the government. They did it in a full gymnasium, with a table in the middle of the floor, with the negotiators, being "Very Pregnant Women". Even the Commies weren't wiling to do anything to them. Good move Truckers!
