5 Morning again, peeple,

Willowed: Oh, another bit on WKRP: Dr. Johnny Fever is visiting Herb in the hospital. Herb has earlier complained about the hospital food, but Johnny sits on the side of Herb's bed and scarfs the dinner right down. As he's leaving, he takes the dessert plate, tips the green Jello *right into his hand,* and goes out with it.

On another front, let's face it: Jan Smithers was lovely. But she was not a very effective actress. She herself admitted that the producers had to get her to speak more loudly, as she had a tendency to swallow her lines. In contrast, Loni Anderson played the *hell* out of her Jennifer Marlowe character and could be very funny.

27 Breakfast: scrambled eggs with chili powder, Mrs. Dash spicy seasoning, and a bit of Tony Chachere's seasoning. Then some applewood bacon, cooked up extra crispy, with a dusting of black pepper on it as it cooks. I didn't quite get the bacon to that crisp, crumbly status I like. Maybe I need to re-try the "bake the bacon in the oven" method that I read about here in 2020.

'Tis chilly, 37 in Da Swamp, and I don't need to go to the grocery. Time for a pipe, perhaps, and some writing notes. I dreamed something rather interesting, in fact it woke me up early.

41 Baltimore City State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby pleaded not guilty Friday to charges she falsely claimed a coronavirus-related financial hardship to withdraw thousands of dollars from her city retirement fund in relation to vacation home purchases in Florida.

Earlier last month a grand jury indicted her on two counts of perjury and making false statements on a loan application to purchase the vacation homes. She also allegedly failed to disclose past unpaid federal taxes on the mortgage applications. She pleaded not guilty to all four counts, FOX 45 of Baltimore reported.

My guess? She is guilty as Hell.

49 Biden lied about his abandonment of Americans

We also have learned, to no one's surprise, that the Biden administration might have lied to us about the number of Americans they initially abandoned in our ignominious and shambolic exit from Afghanistan. We keep hearing figures ranging from 100-500. Overall, it's "in the hundreds" when asked about the Americans who are still there. A new Senate report from Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID) of the Foreign Relations Committee has the figure at around 9,000 minimum

Miklos, I stopped over there around Christmas time, and they were still requiring shot papers. If the PJs Coffee shop is any indication, maybe that is being honored in the breach rather than the observance. Of course the coffee shop is out of the way, the Test Bank as I call it. Mandina's is pretty high-profile. I'll try again.

I know, I know. You want to be a victim. You weren't wrong. You were victimized by the Democrats and Biden, who promised Heaven on Earth, but instead worked for and delivered: runaway inflation, job collapse and importation to China, fueled racial hatred, gave you sky-rocketing crime, rape, murder and arson, made it hard perhaps impossible for your elderly parents to live independently, limited your child's future prospects based on their race, and worst of all;

220 Saw "Last Night in Soho" last night(!).

It was very good, but not great.

Technically, it was a knockout. The two main actresses, Thomasin McKenzie and Anya Taylor-Joy, were great. As was old Mrs Peel.

The plot line doesn't quite fit together and make sense. But, if you pay close attention and squint, it almost does.

The writer/director's politics(?probably) softened the reveal and twist so that when they came they didn't have the impact that they should have.

Check it out. Though "LNiS" isn't going to be the movie you think it will be from the trailers and commercials. A dash more Argento to the mix would've really helped it out.

301 The Eastern Shore is great. St. Michaels of course, but there are many small towns there that can't be beat. I don't know much about Western MD, but it is scenic. The part of MD due north of Frederick is good country.

I love my little corner of Frederick County... I love the eastern shore as well. Both regions are redder than West Virginia. I hope they stay that way

Hi Skip!

I have a short review at comment #220.

She was great. Both of the main women in the movie have real star power, in different ways.

Anya's role is the flashier and will probably get her many more as a Hollywood sex symbol if that's what she wants.

307 Shari Lewis was *hot*. Not so much when she was doing the Lambchop stuff, but in her real acting roles. She was in a Man From U.N.C.l.E. playing a dancer in an Off-Broadway show. Hot.

#2 - Holy Moley, Shari Lewis

This was in her early days as a children's presenter ... and sitcom actress, advertising model, talent-show host, and, well, whatever else was available. Here's Lewis, singing a wholesome song in her night gown, apparently:
