The majority and minority speakers in the House control the funding for election/reelection. That'd be Pelosi and McCarthy. You can pretty much figure the rest out. Without the party's help, and by extension approval it's nearly impossible for a challenger to raise enough money to overcome the cheating. The incumbent is there because the party wants them there. Pretty much. IMSA was a France product anyway if you go way back to the 60s. There was a split, similar to what happened to CART/Indycars, that didn't do the sport any favors. They finally ended it a few years ago.

It was excellent. Some people have said it's too long but I wasn't bored at al. Plus, the time was necessary to understand what was happening with all the relationships properly.
Definitely check it out. Though it is definitely not the feel good movie of the year.
I will say though a few of the scenes were handled better in the old B&W 1941 version showing now on the Criterion Channel.
"NA" is streaming now on both HULU and HBOMax.

I just want electric cars to actually lean into the things you can do that are hard/impossible with ICE, like varying the 4 wheel speeds independently for really precise steering. Rivian's electric pickup can do donuts in-place like that, for instance.
