Scanned as "roasting children." The children knew the rules; if they chose to break them, then dicing, marinating, spitting, and roasting them seems fitting punishment. As for the cops' deaths? No, not difficult at all. Posted by: ZOD at January 30, 2022 06:32 AM (x8kT3) 30

I had to attend a wedding of a WWII veteran. It was running really long, and someone whispered to me the honor guard was outside and impatient. I went out and talked to them, encouraged them to stay, yada, yada. They said they had to attend X number of funerals that coming week and they had two more to attend that very day. Then the one guy said something about his military service and that it must not have meant that much to him. Somehow he knew the coffin he was being buried in came from China. Ouch. I didn't have a reply to that, just grimaced and shook my head in agreement. In the end, they stayed. Posted by: Traitor Joe's Military Surplus at January 30, 2022 07:53 AM (dQvv7) 170

Incredibly important and praiseworthy thread from Substack. Lulu Cheng Meservey @lulumeservey At Substack, we don't make moderation decisions based on public pressure or PR considerations. An important principle for us is defending free expression, even for stuff we personally dislike or disagree with. We understand principles come at a cost. I'm proud of our decision to defend free expression, even when it's hard, because: 1) We want a thriving ecosystem full of fresh and diverse ideas. Morning all. Did anyone catch Trumps rally? I heard that he said he would pardon the Jan 6 prisoners. Good for him for saying that.
Posted by: Spypeach at January 30, 2022 08:30 AM He said a number of good things. Consider that no other Republican can come close to at least saying what he is saying. It's beyond pathetic. Posted by: Ordinary American at January 30, 2022 08:32 AM While that is great that he will do that, what is depressing is that he would have to do it at all. It would mean that those people would be held in prison in D.C. for 4 years (JAN 2021 to JAN 2025) before they would be released. Meanwhile, BLM rioters and Gitmo prisoners have had more support than the JAN 6 protesters. Despicable. Posted by: Clyde Shelton at January 30, 2022 08:48 AM (Do5/p) 316

But, after 2 years of lies and tyranny and nothing making any sense, I tend to put my tinfoil hat on more often now... speaking of not making sense, this "global die-off" theory doesn't make logical sense to me, since they're basically killing off mostly leftists.

Okay, I lied. One more eye-roller one for the day. Wasn't the "OK sign = white power sign" proven to be just an internet hoax a while ago? We live in stupid times.
LINCOLN, Neb. -- The University of Nebraska has made a change to its cartoon mascot Herbie Husker to eliminate confusion about the meaning of a hand gesture he makes that some people connect with white supremacy. In the original depiction of the mascot, which debuted in the early 1970s, Herbie's left hand made the "OK" sign with the index finger and thumb forming a closed circle. In recent years, some hate groups have come to use the gesture as a sign for white power -- three straight fingers make a W and the circle formed next to an extended finger makes a P. Herbie's left hand now makes the well-known "We're No. 1" sign with his index finger raised. https://es.pn/35ALnPf Posted by: Clyde Shelton at January 30, 2022 09:43 AM (Do5/p) 382
