The Morning Report - 1/28/22

sayherrogersbrown.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and while I already went through the whole sturm und drang and how at the end of the day, whoever replaces Breyer isn't going to really matter all that much in the grand scheme of things, I do not want to allow the Left to yet again claim absolute moral authority when their chutzpocrisy is so glaring. Festering-pustule-on-the-body-politic and former mouthpiece for the Clinton Crime Family Joe Lockhart took to, where else, Twitter to deposit this pearl-necklace of wisdom:

Ahead of the midterms, I look forward to watching every Republican Senator oppose the first black woman to the Supreme Court.

While sadly, if history tells us anything at all, the GOP of course will cower in fear of being called - gasp! - racists. That aside, I have three words for this momzer:

JANICE ROGERS BROWN

In 2003, then-President George W. Bush nominated Janice Rogers Brown, an associate justice on the California Supreme Court to serve as a Judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. She was the first black woman nominated for the federal bench.

But Rogers Brown had a problem; she was a libertarian-conservative and refused to play ball with civil rights organizations.

One of her major decisions was a dissent in the case of forcing cigarette manufacturers to put warning labels on packs and cartons. A truly libertarian decision. She also attacked the New Deal, which gave us Social Security and other programs as "the triumph of our socialist revolution." You can imagine the anger of her liberal colleagues over that one.

But Joe Biden, champion of civil rights and the [so-called quote-unquote "president"] who has gloried in naming the first minorities to several positions in his [junta], filibustered against her nomination and voted twice against her. When Biden had the chance to vote for a black woman, he declined.

And do not even get me started on Justice Clarence Thomas, who is arguably one of the most outstanding jurists and legal minds to sit on the SCOTUS in that past 50 years or longer. What they put him through (as well as Robert Bork and every GOP president's nominee since, regardless of how they turned out) was such an absolute abomination - the magnum opus of both rapist and murderer Teddy Kennedy and Joey Soft-Serve - it opened my heretofore indifferent eyes about politics and revealed exactly who and what the Democrat Party is.

As commenter "..." (dude, get a new nic) so brilliantly phrased it:

"The Democrat Party is white everywhere you look but constantly hiding behind black people. It's political blackface."

The tearing down of this nation, the twisting of its history and the erasure of its culture and collective memory serve one purpose, and one purpose only: The attainment of absolute power. That everyone in general, and black people in particular cannot see this or refuse to see it is tragic in the extreme. While there are many battle fronts in the war to tear down America as founded and its people, none has been so catastrophic in its consequences in terms of lives lost and potential wasted as the de facto genocide of American blacks.

Put another way, it all boils down to one thing. Whatever real misery and oppression that blacks and any minority in this country have legitimately suffered is the fault of one group and one group only -- The Democrat Party and the so-called regressive Progressive Movement. Period, full stop. LBJ's Great Society and War on Poverty, which were supposed to finally elevate blacks out of second class citizenship did exactly the opposite, and worse. Between the dissolution of the nuclear family, dependance on the welfare state and believing the noxious poison of perpetual victimhood, black America went from the promise of MLK's "dream" to the nightmare of poverty, prison and an early grave. And what Democrat-Leftists couldn't kill with "kindness" wound up in a jar of formaldehyde at Planned Parenthood, or worse in a Kermit Gosnell house of horrors.

And yet instead of seeing it with their own eyes, bloodsucking vampires from Sharpton and Farrakhan all the way up to Barack Hussein Obama (mmm, mmm mmm!) continue to peddle the cancer of America as irredeemably racist, requiring "fundamental transformation" to a rapt (rapped?) audience. Ironically, whether they realize it or not, those three ass-clowns, as well as every other black so-called "leader" in and outside of government are being pulled around by the nose by white liberals. Same as it ever was. There's actually a nugget of truth to the idiotic yet dangerous chestnut "White man's greed runs a world in need." It should be "Leftist white men's and feminists' greed" but that kind of screws up the cadence and doesn't sound quite right coming out of The Justice Brothers' megaphone. You can't march and raise a fist to it.

There are tantalizing signs out there that blacks are waking up to this. They're sick to death of bodies being stacked up every weekend in blue hell holes across the country like cordwood. A bit of a tell is that surveys have shown that a large percentage of support for the defund the police movement and BLM come from those who are young, white and female. Putting aside the problematic nature of policing in our day and age, people who live in high crime areas are not big supporters of turning their streets over to criminals. What a shock.

Going to a higher level, we talk about how polling data shows historic levels of disaffection both for Biden and the disastrous policies of the party that installed him. That said, we seem to see this every two to four years with a seeming fickle electorate. Will the combination of lockdowns, economic disaster, rampant out of control crime in the streets and a general reckoning that the world - their world - is on fire, and break this cycle of stupidity? That is, will people stop thinking politically and start thinking about what's happening to them and yell "stop?"

Yes, to hell with party politics, or even approaching this in those terms. Someone or some group of people have to somehow reach out, go around the media gatekeepers and other noxious entities and find a real common ground, whether it's with blacks, Latinos, gays - whoever. Perhaps the lockdowns, mandates and all of the aforementioned destruction is the key to breaking this cycle of insanity and laying the groundwork for some kind of societal renaissance, whatever form that it takes. This madness has got to end. If it doesn't, it sure as hell is going to end us.

New episode of Cut Jib Newsletter Speaks! podcast on the way. BOLO. Have a good weekend.

24 Don't Expect Manchin or Sinema to Save Us From Biden's SCOTUS Pick

--

Is anyone really foolish enough to believe they would? But even more importantly, even if they didn't support whomever, there are a dozen Republican senators who won't lose one minute's sleep over their yes vote. If you think otherwise, you're kidding yourself. I've made my peace with it. It's going to be an identity checkbox, radical, young, far left nominee and they will sail through confirmation with support from all Dems and numerous Reps. Those are the breaks when you steal an election.

26 Make Janice Rogers Brown's name a household term.

Make every damned Democrat (BIRM) defend Puddinghead's War on Black Women. I want to see the Holy Twitter Wisdom explain how its different this time.

Because when it came down to check boxes for VP, there were only two that mattered - and they screwed even that up by bringing in a half-breed (sort of like their Post Turtle Obama).

Democrats hate Authentically Black people and will point to a mixed ethnicity who can only self-identify as "black" and say "this is the type of black we can get behind".

Among those 65 and older, in contrast, only 17% are very worried, while 39% arent worried.

I'm going to hazard a guess that older people generally come from a world view that includes this concept called "historical perspective" whereas the terrified demographic operates predominantly from a Zero Day.

Most of us here have experienced a traditional cold that is managed by NyQuil and bedrest - this is the Moronic variant. The Zero Day types are using the highly developed Trigger Word association process etched in their skulls to associate the common cold with Death because the Moronic Variant is associated with C19 and C19 with instant Death.

And the demographic that has been largely spared from C19 is now getting Moronic which means they think they are going to die.

86 So I did something unusual and watched 15 minutes of the national morning news on CBS this morning. In the top of the program, they had two stories that made me roll my eyes at the madness.

First, a story about some school systems removing a graphic novel/comic book history of the Holocaust, written and drawn by survivors of the evil disaster because its themes are "too adult" and too distressing and it's too visceral. And yet school systems throughout the entire nation have various bubbly comic books about giving road head to your gay boyfriend or cutting your dick off and those are just fine.

Second, a story about the Red Chinese crackdown on free speech and the press in Hong Kong and how it's such a bad thing. This is true, but a US mainstream news outfit bleating about the dangers of censorship and the almost-holy position of free speech in the press and among individuals online (including social media) is ironic to say the least.

I can think of two reasons off the top of my head, and both could be wrong and it is unlikely that both are simultaneously true:
1. The numbers aren't too bad
2. They are terrified of open-source/armchair statisticians and data analysts and data scientists tearing their methodology to shreds and creating a better product that may draw different conclusions.

We *know* that door number two is a big concern of the establishment's. That crazy, awful, poorly-conceived position paper from MIT's data science lab (unvetted, written by undergrads and yet published anyway at MIT after sign-off by the graduate director for the program) was entirely about this.

If Mitch decides to put on a show (seems like he will be), with plans to simply give up in the end with the RNC's tens of millions in fundraising in the bank, he may be doing something that will undermine it. Assuming Biden nominates a radical no-nothing, the show, combined with Biden's general lack of popularity, could sour the public on the nominee to the point where it becomes politically unfeasible for red state Democrats to vote in favor.

That would be fun. Fingers crossed.

The point of Valance isn't just that Ransom is old, but the fact that we know who lives and who dies in the core story before it even starts gives it a melancholic feeling that's important to understand who the movie is actually about.

Citizen Kane is about how movies tell you nothing, about how they cannot provide you with any kind of perception into who a person actually was. Welles' movies were all about storytelling, and Kane was no different. The opening 10-minute newsreel, that the editor complains tells them nothing about the man, ends up telling us pretty much everything about Kane as we learn in the rest of the film.

207 I think it is fun to sit back and recall exactly how we got to so much of the population strapping on the face diaper as a non-standard part of their wardrobe as underwear.

People used to be normal.
Then somehow it got into the mindset of the people that an N95 was no different at all from a fully sealed air exchange respirator.
Then when that ran short, there was no difference at all in an N95 and surgeon's mask. Which is unusual since a surgeon's mask was never considered before 2020 to be a Go-To for filtering out bacteria and viruses in the air.
Then when that ran out, Mike Lindell of My Pillow said that by strapping on a pillowcase - you had the same power of a Level 4 biolab air filtering suit.
Then everyone starting making a worthless face diaper with the firm belief that this talisman would make people invincible to ALL viruses (remember people saying that a cloth mask ended flu?)

Tell me it is not a cargo cult.

280 So the question is what is the play.

Is it as simple as follow the money?

If the Trump stuff revealed anything, it revealed that embezzling government funds domestically may be somewhat complicated, but embezzling it through foreign aid is virtually unmonitored.

Also, I have to imagine defense contractors stand to make a fortune when you use up their bombs.

Seems as if pharma and tech got well with the COVID, is it military/industrial feed trough time?

340 "Like a giant ghost ship full of treasure drifting in the night with no captain, no discernible crew, and no clear direction," CharityWatch Executive Director Laurie Styron said of BLM.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors appointed two activists to serve as the group's senior directors following her resignation in May amid scrutiny over her personal finances. But both quietly announced in September that they never took the jobs due to disagreements with BLM. They told the Washington Examiner they don't know who now leads the nation's most influential social justice organization.

Paul Kamenar, counsel for conservative watchdog group the National Legal and Policy Center, said a full audit and investigation into Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, the legal entity that represents the national BLM movement, is warranted.

"This is grossly irregular and improper for a nonprofit with $60 million in its coffers," Kamenar said.

The millennials know they're not going to die of COVID. They're much more afraid of 2 things: 1) that a prolonged sickness will completely FUBAR their schedules, as millennials are far more likely to have their schedules packed to the T with every hour for the next month booked.

2) That they'll be asymptomatic at start, but then spread it to Grandma or their young niece who will then die of COVID.

Just remember, progressives, that the Establishment Democrats are there to graft and not actually advance Marxism. Even the rise of the Squad and Bernie Sanders has done nothing to change that, hence why you have Joe Biden as president. Should probably vote for the actual Socialist Candidates on your ballot this year instead of the fake Socialists that call themselves Democrat and just graft their way to wealth and power.

Its their staff that is running around like psychopath Sorcerer's Apprentices. Thes old codgers want to be surrounded by the youngest people that the law allows because these aging Boomers are perverts who are afraid of aging and dying and want to be eternally young.

So they suck up to these children and their insanely communistic views that their GenX professors programmed into their otherwise empty skulls. It is sort of like mothers who want to be their children's best friends so they get tattoos in order to please their children so they can fit in.

410 Bill White (D) handily won his first term as Houston's Mayor by simply vowing to have the traffic lights downtown re-timed so that one could traverse the grid at a stately 15mph without stopping at every dad-blamed intersection. He did just that, after replacing the head of the city's Public Works department.

Sadly, in the years since he left office the successors have not kept it up.

I would say that China is *not* in fact even close to a marxist-communist system; that is just the PR they put out because it gives the regime ideological cover. I will make the case that China has gone back to the pure Imperial System that has been in place there, off and on, for about 2300 years now. Citizens are allowed to do what they want, even to make money, so long as they never forget that they are the Property of the Empire - they are subjects, not citizens, and the Empire, embodied in the person of the Emperor, can demand all of their belongings and even their Lives at any time. All that they have is granted to them only by the Benevolence of the Emperor, all Praise be to his Name.

It's not a new system at all; it's a very, very old one.

In Northern AZ (especially in and around Sedona) they're making virtually all new major intersections traffic circles (and converting some existing ones). Kind of a pain in the ass, especially with tourists who don't know how to navigate them, but does appear much cheaper and seems to improve traffic flow in general.

446 Put another way, it all boils down to one thing. Whatever real misery and oppression that blacks and any minority in this country have legitimately suffered is the fault of one group and one group only -- The Democrat Party and the so-called regressive Progressive Movement.

That's not true, and that's the biggest problem of it all. If I become an alcoholic, and look - I'm doing the best I can - my effort on this can't be second guessed, the blame falls on two parties as I stumble my broke down ass to the counter to buy my latest twelve pack. And one of those parties is me.

Yes, affluent whites have sold poor people of all colors an awful bill of goods. Simply awful, and in all cases a poison custom blended to taste good going down to that particular sucker. But all they did is sell. In every case, every single one, the buyer couldn't get enough after that first sip. Just like a john that can't give away his money to that street girl fast enough.

It takes two to tango. We're long past time ignoring only one side of the transaction. Nothing changes until we hold both parties to account.

450 Bill White (D) handily won his first term as Houston's Mayor by simply vowing to have the traffic lights downtown re-timed so that one could traverse the grid at a stately 15mph without stopping at every dad-blamed intersection. He did just that, after replacing the head of the city's Public Works department.

The exact opposite happened in Austin. The mayor wanted a damned train on existing commercial rail to travel between empty farmland to the warehouse section of town with stops in the ghetto.

Of course no one would ride that other than the train driver. So to get that objective and beat the public into submission, the city ordered the transportation department to screw up the light timing to make commutes as miserable as possible - oh, and add in special privilege lanes which turned three lanes of traffic into three lanes of traffic - but now a special privilege lane. And they also converted nice two-lane roads into a one lane road with wide bicycle lanes to nowhere.

it was a deliberate and cynical move to torment the voter base into spending billions on a worthless and empty train.

Not feudalism, monarchy and both Aristotle, Plato, and other Greeks believed it was a regular regime type. Later theorists would call it despotism as succession to leadership is not clearly hereditary.

Russia and the US (President Clinton) sign the Budapest Memorandum promising to secure the borders of the Ukraine if they give up their nukes.

Now, I'm not saying defending the Ukraine is the only option.
But NOT defending the Ukraine is telling every country that nukes are their only security; and even if they can't secure nukes from terrorists; they would still be better off having them.
