Stormy Daniels Testifies About CNN Permanent Guest Michael Avenatti Swindling Her Out of Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars
Avenatti was broke and in debt and unable to make rent or payroll, so he did what any lawyer or Permanent CNN guest would do: He just stole the money from his clients.
Daniels got a big book contract. The book, by the way, sold very few copies; leftwing hitjob books never do, and yet these leftwing book publishers keep serving up the seven figure contracts. Almost as if they're not contracts made with an economic return in mind, but are made for purposes of advancing a political interest while evading campaign donation laws...At any rate, the publisher kept sending the checks to Avenatti -- who kept telling Daniels that they hadn't sent the checks. He'd cashed them himself and used them to pay his expenses -- rent, payroll, and debt.
During her three hours of testimony, Daniels talked the jury through how she repeatedly tried to get the second and third payments of her $800,000 book contract for her memoir, 'Full Disclosure', which was published in October 2018 by St Martin's press. ... Prosecutors claimed that Avenatti convinced her literary agent to send him the second payment of $148,000 which he sent on to her a month later after using it to pay his law firm's bills and payroll. It is alleged that Avenatti received the third payment, also of $148,000, and never gave Daniels a dime. Daniels said that in September 2018 she was so angry that the second payment had not been made she messaged Avenatti: 'I didn't get paid today. I am not f****** happy. They are in breach of contract', referring to St. Martin's Press. Daniels said she was 'confused and extremely irritated' that the payment was late. That same day Avenatti told her that the publishers had mailed a check to his office and that it would be paid. Over the subsequent weeks Daniels grew increasingly frustrated when the third payment was delayed as well, even though she turned in the book manuscript. Daniels' patience began to ran out in late 2018 and she messaged Avenatti that the publishers were being 'a******' and acting like 'd****' Prosecutors talked Daniels through dozens of text messages she sent to Avenatti in late 2018 and early 2019 begging him for updates about the book. Sobelman repeatedly asked Daniels whether Avenatti ever mentioned in these messages that not only had he received the payment but had already spent it. With venom in her voice, Daniels replied that he never did.Avenatti told her that he was getting serious with St. Martin's and threatening them with legal action. He was really Fighting For Her, as hard as Conservative, Inc. and the GOPe Fights For You. Oh, and while Daniels was begging for Avenatti to give her her money, Avenatti was meanwhile still fundraising off of her -- for a second secret legal defense fund -- without her knowledge.
Daniels' relationship with Avenatti came under strain when her fans messaged her that there was a second legal defense fund raising money for her that she didn't know about. Avenatti smoothed things over and she agreed to put out a statement he suggested to her.Daniels' own financial state worsened -- she was "trapped" in a house with an ex-husband she was trying to get away from -- and Avenatti kept telling her those big ol' meanies at St. Martin's just wouldn't cough up the cash. And then he claimed they wanted to pay her a "settlement" of less than their contracted agreement -- this is obviously Avenatti himself negotating with her, looking for a way he can pay her less money in exchange for the hundreds of thousands he took from her.
... The jury heard that Avenatti messaged Daniels the low sales numbers for her book: Between October 2018 and January 2019 it sold just 24,000 hard copies and 9,278 ebooks. Daniels told the court that her contract with St. Martin's Press was not dependent on book sales - she got paid anyway.So Avenatti is trying to use her low book sales, and this fictitious pressure from St. Martin's Press to accept a "settlement," to get her to accept, say, $75,000, in lieu of the $300,000 or so of her checks that he's deposited into his own account. But she doesn't go for it. Whores are flinty, especially about money.
Daniels told the jury she told Avenatti: 'Hell no!' to the deal. By February 13 Daniels had had enough and texted Avenatti: 'F*** them', referring to her publishers, who she still believed were withholding her third payment. Daniels told Avenatti she wanted to sue St Martin's Press and told him: 'Now. Find my f****** money'. Avenatti replied: 'Word!!!!!!'Oh yeah, he's totally in her corner on this one. In related news, I just emailed Mitch McConnell about using government coercion to pressure Tech Monopolies to not censor people, given that the left was using government coercion to pressure them to censor people. His response? "Word!!!!" So he's on our side, guys. Expect some action on this issue! Finally Daniels contacted the publishers directly -- and they provided her proof they'd been paying her -- or, rather, Avenatti -- all along. In fact, one payment had been made early.
... Daniels told the jury that Avenatti had 'lied to me almost every day for five months.' She sent him a screenshot of the bank transfers proving everything as a 'mic drop.' Daniels told the jury she wanted to tell Avenatti: 'I am tired of your lies. Just stop. Come clean.'Avenatti is acting as his own attorney and is cross-examining Daniels. He is attempting to impeach her testimony by asking her about some paranormal TV "documentary" show she's hosting, in which she claims to speak to a ghost that inhabits a doll.

It's also easy to rebuff. It's a TV show. It's entertainment. It's entertainment in which a grown woman talks to a doll. Not much of an impeachment of credibility. He'd be better off going through all of her known lies and untruths. They're available. Her book is full of them.

About the future, about what "might have happened otherwise". For all these things there is no verification. Sure, you can pretend to take a circumstance "exactly like" the one observed and pretend that you can rerun all the factors, but it really doesn't ever approach showing "what would have happened if", it shows you what outcomes are *feasible*.
So, yeah, it's pretty weird thinking you can talk to a doll. But I think it's a mistake to then assume she's not a capable witness, then. I don't think you can presume on somebody's entire "rationality" (as if there were one such faculty--which again is kind of a guess--not to mention a *belief*) based on a handful of weird things.
Why did Avenatti believe he could get away with taking her award money? Why did he believe he could swindle Nike? Is such devious behavior "rational"?

Jewel Shepard started out as a stripper when she ran away from her molesting dad. She hitch hiked toward Hollywood hoping to cash in on her amazing looks and got picked up by a trucker. Who molested her in a hotel and dropped her off at a strip joint in the middle of no where, with no money.

Daniels' NDA lawsuit against Trump was dismissed by agreement, then later Trump was ordered to pay Daniels $44,000 in attorneys' fees (despite Trump's lawyers arguing that she didn't actually "win" that lawsuit. Part of the NDA terms required the loser in any lawsuit to pay the other parties' attorney fees).
Trump's lawyers tried to get part of the settlement Daniels won in the lawsuit she filed over her arrest in a Columbus, Ohio, strip club. She got a $450,000 settlement from Columbus for that arrest. Trump didn't get to take any of that money to pay off the nearly $300k Daniels owes him in attorney fees on the defamation lawsuit because the judge in the defamation case hadn't entered an order yet as the case is still on appeal.

All sorts of women have made claims against Trump and he just ignored them. Remember that crazy woman on the plane where she said he groped her? He didn't pay her a nickel.
I think Trump had some sort of affair with Stormy, was embarrassed because she's trash and would tarnish his image and he was married. So he just paid her off.

I will look. I did see one video yesterday of a guy who had his children in the cab with him, People were bringing food to them. He said "This is my country. My brother was an Air Force pilot. He was a Lt Colonel (fairly high officer rank). When he separated from the Air Force, he got stuck in paperwork hell. There was one form in particular that took MONTHS to process. One. Form.
So he wrangled a way to get a flight to the base where the holdup was, and bought a dozen doughnuts. He went personally to see the lowly schlub who was being a lazy shit. He kindly asked that person how he could get that form done today and handed over the doughnuts.
Two minutes later the form was done. It's a miracle!

I saw a video yesterday of the "media" being called out for their bullshit. A news crew had set up at the front of the convoy, and they pointed their cameras the direction they were headed - of course only seeing a hundred people at most. Because the tens of thousands were behind them. And the ballet dancer has suddenly decided he's got covid, so he can disappear for a few days and lay on the fainting couch.
BTW, somebody mentioned yesterday twatter's new blocking of views - it's got me today. Now, they throw up a box to either login or register, there's no way to close the box or scroll - basically stopping you from viewing any page.
However, this seems to be shit browsers or chrome shell Brave (I'm starting to dislike). Anyway, Pale Moon works fine and the popup blocker fails to appear using that browser.

My spouse and I are 0%, b/c we didn't bother applying. When we were done (and there's a story for that), we were done. We haven't taken a single US govt military perk since we left, although we accept corporate ones who honor Vets b/c they don't have to provide them.
Funny enough, us being completely done is one of the reasons I haven't fought to get my leukemia paid for as a "covered" disability. Also, I'm setting up cultural packages, so you can say "well I'm an elf but I was raised with humans" (to oversimplify) and have these cultural characteristics and skills.
A kid from Chinese ancestry raised by Amish parents is going to be Amish, not magically and inherently different from his culture. There's nothing genetic that makes black kids love rap music. There's nothing about their DNA that makes a kid from Oklahoma love pickup trucks and country music.

Statements against personal interest are usually indicated as truthful. Captain of ship has no real reason to lie but the pilot could has misled him. Dunno what the air traffic transmissions said either.

I remember when all libraries had microfiche readers, your best bet would probably be a university. Heck, I bet most community colleges still have theirs tucked in a corner somewhere. So many newspaper etc. articles that have yet to be scanned...

I have several friends who have all patiently worked the system and are not at 80-100%. I haven't done that as I'm (knock on wood) pretty healthy. I can't justify scamming for a higher rating.
Now, given what you said, I worked with Vets for awhile at the start of Trump's time in office and I think he did a great job of getting the VA moving in the right direction. Not sure what it is like now, but I saw a lot of cases get settled quickly.

Contact law enforcement and possibly hire a firm if law enforcement does not help. Many states might give you a protective order depending on situation if you need one. Reach out to local violence prevention organizations as they might have other resources to help.

Contacting the police in any case will almost certainly accomplish absolutely nothing, but in the case of online stuff, they're pretty straightforward about the fact that they don't care and won't help unless your rich and important.

That is what I had to do with my father's military record as a fair part of it had to be reconstructed via microfilm as his records were affected by St. Louis military records facility fire.
The reconstruction documents were on microfiche sheets and I had to print copies of them for retirement.
