irst, the news, such as it is: there is a giant cow named Knickers in Western Australia and people have gone crazy. Technically he is not a cow, but a steer (a neutered male). But he is giant, standing at 1.94 metres (6ft 4in ) to his withers (the shoulder). This is just shy of the world record-holding steer, Bellino, who lives in Italy and stands at 2.02 metres. Knickers, a Holstein Friesian, weighs in at 1,400kg (220 stone) and is believed to be the biggest steer in Australia. And, for some reason, Knickers and his sizeable existence are the talk of the internet, making news all over the world.It's a three-plus year old story but it's News to Me (TM).

mini horses get fed hay same as big horses. They are easy keepers, have to be careful to limit grain to a small amount and not feed overly rich hay or lush grass so they don't get laminitis (kind of a horse gout).

They left both her and my aunt's rooms exactly as they left them. When grandma passed away ('96) they sold the house and I am guessing the painting only exists in our memory. I quit Netflix at least a year ago. It was probably longer that that as time goes by quickly. I dropped them because of wokeness. In a moment of weakness and curiosity I signed back in. To my surprise, someone had been using my account and charging it in Brazilian Reals.
I called Nutflix and they did nothing. I cancelled the credit card but the only bad charges were. Nutflix. I called them about it and they denied I ever had an account with them. I did get a raise though! I told a co-worker, who is being considered for a management role how much I made and how long it had been since I'd gotten a raise. She was pissed about it. Then I got sick and missed three days work. I think it worried my boss cause he sent me an email that he'd gotten me a raise and I would see it on this paycheck. My friends managed to find an old farmhouse. It was on part of an acre and did not have a foundation or indoor plumbing. Her folks paid cash for it for them and I think it was like $20k back in the 80s. They did a lot of work on it and raised their family there.

Wife is watching a DIY show called Barnwood Builders. It's older, and no longer running AFAIK, but it is very neat. A bunch of beardy West Virginians salvaging and restoring old frontier cabins. The technical aspects of this show interest me a little less than the men who do this job. Talk about salt of the earth. I genuinely like these guys. they are the real deal. You see none of the fake drama that so many other shows have. And no bleeps. these burly men apparently do not drop casual swears.

423 my real criticism of Zhivago is that all the side characters are great, the story is riveting - but Dr. Zhivago himself can never take a stand, never make up his mind, never commit to a side. Yes, giraffes are kosher, and you just reminded me that was a subject of conversation on the web years ago - probably in a blog comment-section. Apparently some people claim giraffes are not kosher because the rabbi can't figure out where on the neck to cut when killing them. An actual high-ranking rabbi (as I recall) said 'cut wherever's convenient: they're kosher'. If they're not eaten much it's because they're way too big for most parties.
