Ray Epps' Lawyer: My Client Is Definitely Not an FBI Agent, and I Should Know, Because I Am In Fact a Former FBI Agent

fbibabylonbee.png

Ray Epps, who is totally not an FBI asset, has a lawyer who is, in fact, a former FBI agent.

Yeah that checks out. That is exactly what I should have expected.

"Please refer any questions to our attorney John Blischak," Epps wrote. "He will be happy to answer your questions, as I've been advised not to talk to anyone at this time."

When reached by phone the next morning, Blischak vigorously denied that Epps is a federal informant.

"He was interviewed by the FBI in Arizona," he said. "I was present during that interview, and unequivocally he is not an FBI informant."

Asked whether Epps is an asset for any government agency--law enforcement, intelligence, or otherwise--Blischak said, "Not to my knowledge."

Then why didn't Department of Justice officials deny any connections to Epps?

"Knowing the FBI as I do, they're not going to comment one way or another," Blischak said.

...

The Epoch Times asked whether Epps was under oath during his interview with the Jan. 6 Committee or with the FBI. Blischak didn't directly answer the question, instead explaining that when FBI agents interview individuals, they typically aren't under oath.

...

As to why his client hasn't been charged, Blischak exclaimed, "Because he's not guilty! He has a good attorney."

Blischak is a former FBI agent, working in Cleveland and then Arizona from 1974-85.

Say, wouldn't a confidential informant have a general legal license to deny his confidential informant status?

Well, the FBI won't deny it, but the Committee ring-lead by Adam Schiff -- who repeatedly lied about having personally seen direct, irrefutable proof that Trump had a secret collusive deal with Russia -- was instead tasked with denying it, and that's plenty good enough for me!

I just got another email from Corky: "Eveh I knowh beddeh thah to belieh thih lyieh bug-eyeh sodomyeh fuh."

17 Yesterday, Democrats in the House voted to gut an existing bill, involving the leasing of NASA property, that has already passed both the House and Senate, and replaced the text with that of the two "voting rights" bills that are stuck in the Senate. This has created a situation, similar to when Obamacare was passed, that would allow the bill to be voted on using Reconciiation rules, where the filibuster can't be used to block it.

First, as TJM pointed out (and wow - you got a FIRST after reading the content and used it to make an on-point comment that was relevant to the topic? That's like a ninth-sigma event...), that is a weird way to skirt the question with a non-answer.

Second, it doesn't matter if he was under oath or not. Lying to Congress does not matter. It has never mattered. It never will matter. If you're in the club - and Epps is, formal asset or not - then you're not punished for lying to Congress. Lying to Congress is just an occasional sport in which members of the Complex engage.

Third, you may not be under oath when interrogated by the FBI, but they sure as shit will nail your ass to the wall for "lack of candor" or any number of other bullshit charges if you lie to them or they feel like misrepresenting your answers (or their questions, or both) in their reliable, honest forms that they write up, edit and manipulate.

The law they use is interesting, it actually says that lying to any FEDERAL AGENT of Officer is a felony.

Thus, you could argue that lying to the President of the US, as the top Law Enforcement Officer, is a Felony.

But even lying to the DEA or Secret Service, or Homeland Security Officer, actually can be prosecuted, not just the FIB.

70 Glad I started Happy Hour when I did. Gives me the appropriate frame of mind for this stuff.

This doesn't matter. I mean it does, in a meta-sense, but it doesn't. Ray Epps is just another drop of rain in a torrential downpour.

Eventually, the rain will overtop the flood defenses, and the resulting breach will be catastrophic. When that happens, being able to point to the *actual raindrop* that did the deep will be pointless. It won't matter.

So it's significant insofar as it's another drop, but nothing to get worked up about, because sheets of rain are coming down right now.

The thing is, in most situations of this kind, no one knew what the breaking point was, so there's no point in worrying about it.

Um no, they are not required by any federal statute or any FBI/DOJ ruling or procedure for that matter to evade a direct questioning from the very people that are paid by us to be their oversight to protect a case. I think Senator Cruz actually pointed this out later that day. Its bogus. But WAPO probably knows this - Bump just hopes you don't.

109 An idea I had to kill several birds with one stone - win an election, make Democrats cry, cut off the pernicious influence of China, get products back on shelves (and American products at that), and get Americans back to work.

Step 1: Government investment in new American national-scale consumer goods companies. Existing multinationals excluded from consideration (because fuck you, that's why!). Up to 25% of startup costs paid, in exchange for 25% of preferred stock.

Step 2: Preferred stock from Step 1 to be placed in a lockbox, where it will pay dividends into the Social Security Fund (which is to be properly re-created as a lockbox that politicians cannot raid).

Step 3: The Global Anti-Sweatshop Act: Total embargo against China for as long as the PRC remains in power, and against attempts to resell through Chinese products through middlemen. Other countries, where the workers are paid less than 2/3 of US workers for the same work, are similarly excluded.

To answer your question from last thread, a fibrillating heart is electrically very chaotic. An initial shock might restore a normal rhythm, but sometimes the initial shock may merely line up the individual muscle cells' timing, allowing enough organization so that a subsequent shock can be successful at restoring normal rhythm. His pension was a pittance; federal service, even at the jackoff SES level, doesn't pay much. His annuity wouldn't amount to much. Yes. And that is because his large family of ruthless, well trained cartel boys regarded him with the utmost respect from his own time as a cartel enforcer.

I know some of the writers for that show. When I saw that I called him and told him he was a genius!

I had no idea that the series was going to be as good as it turned out. It has the flavor of an epic hardboiled novel, with just enough subplots to keep you interested -- none of the modern "We're going to *really* go into depth on this one character or situation and mine it until you can't stand it any more." If a subplot was in BB, it belonged.

313 They should be finishing in an hour or two. I don't know the specifics but apparently its not good.

Scott Adams went full Jack Murphy, today?

Well, not really.
But Scott Adams is a fucking idiot and a fraud. Anyone who tells Scott he's wrong, Scott will respond with stupid mind-games and bullshit, such as "are you a mind reader?," or "you're imagining hearing things I never said."

315 His pension was a pittance; federal service, even at the jackoff SES level, doesn't pay much.

The point was he avoided punishment. As soon as these folks start seeing costs involved in their actions, support will dry up.

The modern left are gutless opportunists. They are 'brave' only when they face zero consequences.

Say what you will for the Internationals in Spain, but they wore patched clothing, drank cold coffee, and slept on the ground for The Cause. Willing to fight to the death.

Like 20% of the average of the top three years of his pay--which, if you've looked at the GSA pay schedule, ain't much at all, if making money is your bidness.

The point I responded to in the post was that he was "worried about his pension."

That he avoided punishment is a separate issue.

Or run a stupid poll.
I actually think he's kind of smart and realizes the gaslighting being undertaken, but he just can't come right out and say it because he'll then be cancelled, so he plays dumb games.

325 Day 11 of Efudex (topical chemo) treatment on my face.
Starting to get a tad uncomfortable.

Those topical cancer treatments can be absolutely awful. Don't ask me how I know but I know. If it gets unbearable you may have to talk to the doctor. Some will suspend treatment until the affected area gets better. It's not how long the treatment but how many applictions, at least that was my understanding.

333 The tell is using the word "is" instead of "was." Notice all of the denials say that he IS not a CI/agent. That's not what anyone wants to know, of course that tour of duty has ended. The question is, WAS he on Jan. 6th.
