NEW SALESMAN A Young guy from North Dakota moves to Florida and goes to a big "everthing under one roof" department store looking for a job. The Manager says, "Do you have any sales experience?" The kid says "Yeah. I was a vacuum salesman back in North Dakota." Well, the boss was unsure, but he liked the kid and figured he'd give him a shot, so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did." His first day on the job was rough, but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the boss came down to the sales floor. "How many customers bought something from you today?" The kid frowns and looks at the floor and mutters, "One". The boss says "Just ONE?!! Our sales people average 20 to 30 customers a day. That will have to change, and soon, if you'd like to continue your employment here. We have very strict standards for our sales force here in Florida. One sale a day might have been acceptable in North Dakota, but your not on the farm anymore, son. The kid took his beating, but continued to look at his shoes, so the boss felt kinda bad for chewing him out on his first day. He asked (semi-sarcastically), "So, how much was your one sale for?" The kid looks up at his boss and says "$101,237.65". The boss, astonished, says, $101,237.65? What the heck did you sell?" The kid says, "Well, first, I sold him some new fish hooks. Then I sold him a new fishing rod to go with his new hooks. The I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department and I sold him a twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so i took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4 x 4 Expedition." The Boss said, "A guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and a TRUCK?" WASHINGTON COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 5-- A 20-year-old Milwaukee woman is accused of driving drunk twice on the same day. According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, around 3:13 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 31, a deputy observed two vehicles traveling "unusually close together" on I-41 southbound near State Highway 33. The deputy noticed the lead driver was continuously swerving, driving half on and off the shoulder, and not maintaining consistent speeds. The following driver was traveling close behind the lead driver. Authorities say the deputy pulled alongside the pair of vehicles, activated his emergency lights and turn signal to get behind the lead vehicle. The following driver reportedly failed to yield to the deputy and pulled even closer to the lead vehicle; the following driver would not allow the deputy to pull into the lane of traffic to make the traffic stop.

And yet, that scrunt has made $174k per year for the last 3 years on the taxpayer dime. And she just turned 32. When I turned 32, I was 4 months away from being laid off during the 2008 economy collapse. By age 34 after 2 years of unemployment, using my 401(k) and savings to stay afloat, I was broke and had to start over. Meanwhile, even with my current job, I started out making 1/3 of what she makes in one year. Even now, 10 years into my position, she still makes almost twice what I do.
Considering her galvanting off to Florida this week, I wonder when was the last time she did absolutely anything at all to help the people in her district.
So much for my "white privilege" and "the patriarchy". Apparently, all one needs is nice tits and low IQ to live the American dream. No wonder the movement these days of men-pretending-to-be-women.

Robert Malone mentioned "mass formation psychosis" on Joe Rogan, and the term went viral, with searching for it. Jack Posobiec got enamored with it and I assume he never heard of the concept. He changed his Twatter handled to "Mass Formation Poso".
Google, noticing the trend, manually intervened to suppress the information. See Poso's feed for the details. They put up a video by some rando with very few followers to be the #1 search result for the phrase. Before, it would get you to the actual information. Now, it's very lame debunking attempts.
DuckDuckGo gets you right to it, and puts up Malone's substack and other timely relevant results.

The top hit on Duck Duck Go is Robert Malone's Substack article on mass formation psychosis, where he talks about how Covid hysteria is deliberately nurtured. This article has generated enormous interest in the last couple of days. Bing also returns Malone's article as the first hit.
Google doesn't return the article on either of its first two pages (it returns references to the article). The first hit is an article denouncing the idea of mass formation psychosis.
Google also has the following at the top of the search:
It looks like these results are changing quickly
If this topic is new, it can sometimes take time for results to be added by reliable sources
I.e. Google's still working on burying Malone's article.

Off the field, Woody was like a Grandpa just walking around campus. I ran into him one night late in a pretty desolate part of the campus and we talked for awhile. He asked me just normal old man vs. student questions and was very interested in my answers. Really a personable guy.

DaughterH had a Great Pyrenees and one day during a really heavy snowfall she took her pups out not in the fenced area thinking they would be safe and stay close. Got my ticket, walked up to the lift I first started skiing 50 years ago... put on my skis... and my binding broke. I was like... come on.... 4 hour wait to get someone at the pro shop to look at it... and no rentals as they were all 'reserved'.
So, got in my truck and drove home. Not a good start for 2022. Not sure if someone is trying to tell me something or not.

Cream is indeed in short supply around here as well. It started around Thanksgiving. Stores got cleaned out, and it still hasn't recovered. Heavy, whipping, light, and even half-and-half is hard to find.

Miley happened to hit a local Publix at the right time when they just got in a shipment of cream. She stocked up, and got about 3 or 4 pints of heavy cream.
While the USDA defines these things officially as range, this is what you get roughly in the stores:
Half-and-half: 12% milk fat
Light cream: 20%
Whipping cream: 35%
Heavy cream: 38%
That is a rough list there, as the definitions are a range. Half-an-half can be up to 18% fat, for example.
In the UK, they have different ranges, and even a "double cream", 48% milk fat category. That's getting close to "butter" per US definitions.

Next time I talked to them, it was "we didn't realize the days were actually that long".
We moved down the Peninsula thirty-odd years ago and we had maybe thirty stupid-hot days a year which, given the poor insulation and ventilation on our house, led to AC.
Then we remodeled twenty years ago, and put in a buttload of opening skylights, and now we almost never need it, have to run it just to keep it working.
We still get thirty stupid-hot days a year, but bay breezes blowing through the skylights.

When Cruz is a guest on the Michael Berry Show, especially for an hour, and not just a segment, his brilliance and humor shows through. Pity though. All that, and it doesn't carry on T.V. Point is, whole milk, straight from the cow tit, runs about 3.5% butterfat. It's almost like they aren't running the cream separators, and are pushing out nearly all the product as whole milk. But why it should be like that in widely-separated parts of the country is beyond me. Dairy is mainly local.

Actually, one local grocery store (the closest and easiest one to get to from here) blamed local labor supply one time. They'd run out a milk late in the afternoon. They close at 10PM, and if you got there in the early evening, the milk would be consistently out of stock.
Manager told Miley the problem was labor. Said he could get a truck in, but couldn't get enough labor to unload the damned truck if it got there. So, he just gets a milk load in the early morning, and that's it for the day.

Our problem seems to be more staffing here. An A&W I used to go to has been closed for weeks. 1st world problem as there are two others in town, but I am just wondering at the franchisee holding the property (strip mall) and not earning.

Half-and-half: 10.5%
Light cream: 18%
Whipping cream: 30%
Heavy cream: 36%
There is a manufacturer's cream category define as
x >= 40%, but that is not sold at retail. It could be called heavy cream as well.

The staffing problem is that those in power keep enacting "safety nets" that provide as much (or almost as much) for staying at home as they would earn for working.
That's why you see so much drive-thru activity at fast food restaurants. Here in Oklahoma, we have ZERO lockdowns, but its hard for restaurants to find workers. I refuse to frequent drive-thrus. I don't want to eat in my car, nor do I want to drive 10 minutes while my food gets cold. We've GOT to demand that businesses stand up to the nonsense that is being done with our economy.
The marxists WANT a large proportion of our country to get used to sitting at home and getting a check--that's how they harvest votes. We've got to stand up and say that the "emergency" is over--stop the endless checks to able bodied people who need to work for their money.
