The Morning Report - 12/24/21

xmaspattonprayer.jpg

Good morning, kids. Friday and the weekend and Christmas Eve are here. Within this sea of insanity, you'll be happy to know that former NY governor Andrew "Angel of Death" Cuomo will not be charged in Nassau County for any of the sexual assault allegations brought against him.

"Our exhaustive investigation found the allegations credible, deeply troubling, but not criminal under New York law," Acting Nassau County District Attorney Joyce Smith said . . . Nassau County's investigation was limited to Long Island's Belmont Racetrack incident. Other counties like Albany are still investigating sexual misconduct allegations against Cuomo . . .

. . . [Cuomo flunky Rich] Azzopardi claims that James' investigation into Cuomo was politically motivated, evidenced by her short-lived run for New York's governorship. "With each passing day it becomes more and more clear that the Attorney General's report was the intersection of gross prosecutorial misconduct and an abuse of government power for political purposes... It was obviously a political springboard to remove Governor Cuomo so she could run for office, however, it was so poorly done and obviously, it backfired, and James' run for governor lasted only 5 weeks."

Azzopardi may be a stooge for Fredo the elder, but he does make a point. Whatever the Machiavellian intra-party machinations going on behind the scenes, it is almost axiomatic that Democrats do not throw each other in jail. At least not the ones who remain faithful to the cause, unlike, say, Joe Manchin who probably has a major target on his back, figuratively and maybe even literally. But I digress.

Even if Cuomo is charged in another part of the Empire State for slamming his greasy salsicce at some underling or reporterette devotchka, he will never be called to account (at least in this life) for the mass-murder of at least 15,000 elderly nursing home residents by exposing them to the Chinese virus. Ditto for the other Democrat governors in the region. They should all burn in hell for that.

That segues rather nicely into the actions of Cuomo's successor, Kathy Hochul. The farcical nature of her being where she is is obvious since, as Cuomo's lieutenant governor she had direct first hand knowledge of her boss' actions both in playing grab-ass and especially in his slaughter of the elderly. Meanwhile, as the fear is ramped up to eleventy-leven in New York over the Omagawd Omicron!, Hochul was advised that she needed to look all butch and authoritative, especially after getting her sagging ass handed to her over vaccine mandates last week.

Signed into law on Wednesday by Gov. Kathy Hochul (D), the "Truth in Vaccination" law will make "faking a vaccination card a class A misdemeanor and tampering with computer records related to vaccinations a class E felony," according to The Hill. New Yorkers convicted of violating the new law could face up to one year in prison or three years of probation, while class E felonies carry the potential of up to four years in prison in the state. . .

. . . "The 'Truth in Vaccination' law will serve as a strong deterrent to prevent people from lying about their vaccination status, protecting public health, and ensuring our economic recovery can move forward," she added.

"Protecting public health, and ensuring our economic recovery." Don't make me laugh and choke on my own vomitus. Every action that these assholes have take for the past "two weeks" (that's about 91 in non-woke math) has had the exact opposite effect on health, economic and otherwise. What initially was about sabotaging the Trump re-election campaign is now all about amassing and maintaining absolute power and completing the destruction of the American republic - by any and every means necessary.

A bill that would have granted the government of New York State the right to remove and detain unvaccinated individuals indefinitely has been pulled from consideration by the lawmaker responsible for its introduction: Assemblyman Nick Perry. . .

. . . Following Perry's embarrassing climbdown, corporate news outlets are reporting without reference or citation, that Perry introduced A416 in response to concerns over the Ebola virus. Two Americans contracted Ebola, neither of whom died. Perry's response to these two Ebola cases, therefore, was to propose that anyone with any type of contagious disease, or suspected contagious disease, should be held in a government facility, against their will, for an indefinite amount of time.

In January 2021, Perry defended Bill A416, saying "there may be the need for people to be protected from a person or persons carrying a very deadly and transmittable virus, and this bill is designed to ensure that our government could lawfully act to protect all the people."

In response to Perry's bill, the Chair of the New York State Republican Party, Nick Langworthy, said, "the fact this bill was drafted and introduced gives you an incredible insight into the totalitarian, sociality mentality of New York Democrats."

The NY State GOP is a joke, but Langworthy is dead on. While the intent and actions of these fiends is frightening in their own right, what depresses me most is human nature. Psaki-psircling back to Hochul's law imprisoning vaccine ausweiss forgers, the only thing that gives this law any teeth isn't the police; it's our fellow citizens. The sad bitter truth of this is that, while those who pass these "laws" are evil thugs, it is the average business owner that acts as their enforcer and spy. If every business that is required to check "zee papers, bitte," refused to comply, this insanity would end in an un-Johnson & Johnson-blood-clotted heartbeat.

There are a few brave souls who are refusing to comply, and the evil Empire in the Empire State and elsewhere is crushing them like insects. Why? Fear. Firstly, the fear of a virus and its variants that provably are lethal to a small fraction of the population, fueled by power-mad fiends in positions of trust and authority who play upon those credentials to keep people scared. There's also the fear of going against the grain and therefore not only being a target of "law enforcement" but of one's peers, relatives and neighbors. Being an outcast is almost as bad as being physically imprisoned, made even more soul-crushing in this day and age of social(ist) media.

Now, take that and superimpose it on to our men and women in uniform, both military and law enforcement, and a truly terrifying picture emerges. As Mark Twain is thought to have said, "History doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme." Look at Australia and Austria (nudge-nudge-wink-wink). Look at what this Nick Perry cancer was itching to do. Take a look at this great idea out of Sweden. And there are the words emanating between globs of Cream of Wheat and halitosis from the pie-hole of Joey Soft-Serve, blood libeling those of us who refuse the shot - that is, refuse to bow down to the Junta that has overthrown us - as carriers of plague and death. Considering how utterly brainwashed at least a third of the population already is against America, Americanism, Judeo-Christianity and freedom, turn us into a physical threat and you almost guarantee another James Hodgkinson or self-aware self-driving SUV plowing into another Christmas parade of unmasked revelers.

We can talk about elections, rigged or otherwise, out the wazoo, but the truth is, it is going to take individual acts of courage on all our parts if we are ever going to even begin to claw our way out of what day by day is becoming a mass grave. You will lose friends. You will lose family. You could lose your livelihood. Even worse, G-d forbid, you could end up like Ashli Babbit or Roseanne Boyland.

Is it worth it? Is it better to live on your knees than to die on your feet for freedom? Only you can answer that question.

On that note, I wish all of you a blessed Christmas.

**

I think the trick is to not mix up immunity and resistance.

Remember, 80% of the population had natural resistance to COVID at the beginning of 2020. It's only gotten better.

We had herd immunity before any of this bullsh*t started. It's why it mostly only killed off 80+ year olds with multiple comorbidities.

As it's circulated through populations, it's tended towards greater transmisiblity and less virulence.

68 Even if Cuomo is charged in another part of the Empire State for slamming his greasy salsicce at some underling or reporterette devotchka, he will never be called to account (at least in this life) for the mass-murder of at least 15,000 elderly nursing home residents by exposing them to the Chinese virus. Ditto for the other Democrat governors in the region. They should all burn in hell for that.
++++
This appears to be the playbook and normal sequence of events.
1. Get caught in a major crime.
2. Get accused of a lesser crime
3. Take some form of minor formal or informal punishment
4. Have the lesser crime dropped or decision reversed

In Cuomo's case, he was caught slaughtering the elderly, was accused of sexual misconduct, was made to resign, and then the investigation ended without further action. This perfectly mirrors Clinesmith. He got caught in the coup attempt, was prosecuted for doctoring one E-Mail, got a slap on the wrist, then had the decision reversed and his punishment completely undone.

This is the model, I think. And it's revolting.

89 Good morning dear Hordelings, and happy Christmas Eve. Don't let what's going on in the world overwhelm you in this beautiful season. If you need to step back, step back.

I'm sitting here with my son (who needs a haircut, but that's okay) listening to lovely Christmas music and drinking coffee and thinking about the presents I need to wrap today. Tonight we will have a prime rib dinner and then go to "midnight" Mass (which thankfully is at 10 pm). Tomorrow we will open our gifts and celebrate the birth of our Savior.

There is comfort in doing the things that have become tradition for us, and above all, there is comfort in knowing that the precious baby whose birth we are celebrating gave everything for us, that we may be happy with Him in the next world.

Wishing all of you peace, joy, love, and God's blessings this Christmas and all through the new year.

90 Walker refers to the book's subjects as "minor-attracted people," or MAPs, to avoid not only the semantic muddle but also the stigma associated with "pedophile" and similar terms. (One of Walker's subjects calls MAP a "euphemism," a more forthright way of putting it.)
++++
I am always fascinated when cause and effect get so conflated by agenda-driven academics. "Pedophile" doesn't carry a stigma because the word is bad or scary, it carries a stigma because it is abhorrent. If one never acts on it, one need never be tarred with that brush regardless of where his preferences lie. That's an odd superpositional state that is likely irrelevant. The word is applied to those who act, and those who act are rightly hated and punished by civilized people.

The word is not the problem. If they create some new word - like MAP - for the condition, it will not result in destigmatization. The new word will be uttered as a cruse and accompanied by spit just like the old word was. The stigma isn't the word's fault, the stigma is because the act is so awful.

93 Trump is right and Owens is wrong. Like everything else with COVID it needs context. People who are most vulnerable and have taken the vaccine still have better outcomes when infected. That would be among the population it was really meant to protect, not all the others being forced to take it or whom really don't need it. It was also meant to buy time for that population as we developed better therapeutics and other ways to fight the disease as it mutated to a less deadly virus. We can talk about people with adverse reactions, the waning immunity over time, etc. But the fact is the data currently shows (again for those most vulnerable) the vaccine has been effective. Not perfect, I know, I have a vaccinated friend who died earlier this week of COVID. But overall the outcomes for that specific group have been better with the vaccine.

There is no truth in that statement.

The compassionate doctors had already come up with early treatment protocols in April of 2020. There was HCQ, there is IVM, there is all of the stuff our mothers told us to do when we had a cold.

The Trump government went out of their way to make sure that people would die from lack of early treatment, suppression of protocols, destroying the lives of medical doctors who were trying to save others.

Cuomo has killed his ten thousands, but Trump has killed his hundred-thousands by foisting this Satanic brew on us, catastrophically destroying the economy, utterly destroying the medical community and all that we knew about dealing with viruses and ushering us into a Thousand Years of Darkness.

117 Weingarten's email emphasized the "anti-public education forces will continue to try to divide us" by "stirring up controversy," "lying about what we teach" and "exploiting the frustration everyone feels about the pandemic to try to pit parents and educators against each other."
"Plus, thankfully, we have a White House that is willing to work with us and support us--providing testing and ongoing guidance--rather than make our lives harder," Weingarten wrote.

++++
Odd. CCP mouthpieces said more or less the same thing about Biden's ... tractability. But that is somewhat beside the point. I love Weingarten's construction here. The teachers and their union *are* public education, so any question of the former is an attack against the latter. Any objection is a lie. Any disagreement is combat. Any pushback is merely real-life shitposting to "stir up controversy."

What a turbo-powered hyper scrunt. But in my case, at least, she is narrowly correct on one thing she said. I *am* opposed to public education. I don't think it can be fixed, and I don't think the system is worth saving even if it could be.

And interface is a hugely useful word in many contexts. Maybe it's my IT background, but the notion of "interfacing" with a woman doesn't fill me with randiness. If anything, it makes me think of having to talk to someone from HR, which has the opposite effect...

Culturally, we are in a crisis of leadership worldwide; I suspect it's because the ruling classes, having seized control of everything, have now turned in on themselves rather like the French Aristocracy, pre-revolution. They don't care if anyone follows them, because they think they can force every issue.

But that is also there greatest weakness, because someone *will* rise - leaders always do - and there will be no resistance to him. I can only hope it's someone on our side.

And let us pray as well that God may visit his justice upon the powerful who have corrupted and harmed untold numbers of human beings around the planet.

Let us pray that the truth about this ugly episode in our history may finally be revealed."

144 The Trump government went out of their way to make sure that people would die from lack of early treatment, suppression of protocols, destroying the lives of medical doctors who were trying to save others.

Posted by: Reuben Hick at December 24, 2021 08:21 AM

Yep. Recall the CARES Act, which made it such that hospitals were incentivized with taxpayer money to lie about COVID data, to use ventilators, to only use Remdesivir for treatment and ban all other treatments. Trump just sat by and let that happen. Did nothing to fight the narrative that HCQ was "fish tank cleaner" or that Ivermectin was "horse paste". He had a bully pulpit and didn't use it. Didn't follow India's lead in handing out home treatment kits to citizens.

People rightly rip on the Biden Administration for all they've done, but give Trump a complete pass on all his failures regarding COVID which led us here in the first place. Extremely disappointing and discouraging. Not holding politicians accountable is a sign of support changing to cult following.

Me, too. I have tried to study my reaction and think I found the answer for me. I have lots of sensible, rational reasons for why I don't like masks, but those go right out the window and the reaction of abhorrence and aggressive dislike if not hatred is purely instinctual. The reasons came later. The reaction is uncontrollable. In my case, I find it happens only with a certain mass of people. If there are 20 people and one or two of them are masked, I don't care. If 15 or 18 are masked, it makes me want to scream and fight or run away.

I think it's the "uncanny valley" problem that robotics and animation faces. The effect is that they aren't real people - they're imposters, impersonators, counterfeit, ersatz people invading my society and trying to deceive me about their nature.

I dunno if it's right, but it's the explanation I've come up with.

Yup. Ownership is independence, and independence is bad. If you own something, you set the terms. If I want to listen to an album and own the CD and a player, I can do that anytime I want regardless of what anyone else thinks. If I stream music someone else controls, they can decide what I can listen to and when.

That's a small and fairly trite example, of course, but the comparison applies at every level and in every context. To own nothing is to be beholden in everything.

174 And last thing on masks...

Masks have never worked as well as their side wants - they can't...but they've never been as useless as our side wants, either.

Mask mandates - yes, useless, b/c any benefit they have in use is ruined by the lack of care in the use (and almost anti-care) and the type used to get past the mandates...

But, there's a reason kids (and now adults) with leukemia have worn masks for all time...it doesn't do a lot, but any help against illness spread is always a help for them. So, not all leukemia patients look sick - I don't - so, maybe a little grace this Christmas and for future ones for those of us who do have to wear masks indoors in viral spread winters...

The launch of Starship in Boca Chica is being held up by a couple of federal agency "reviews" and, unless the WH is willing to get involved to rein in these scumbags, American space competitiveness risks being destroyed.

Based on this story, it looks like Starship's first orbital flight will not happen until the latter half of '22, if then. Nor can we expect any help from the Biden administration. Unlike Trump, the Democrats now running the executive branch of government do not like private enterprise and business, and generally look for excuses to regulate and even block it, especially if they think there is the slightest chance it might harm some formerly unknown species somewhere.

216 Trump Pushes Back When Candace Owens Doubts the Vaccine: "People Aren't Dying When They Take" It
_______________

That is false.

Some people very much ARE dying when they get the vaccine. There have been thousands of deaths in the U.S. alone, caused by the vaccines.

Is everyone dying from the vaccines? No, of course not. It's a relatively small percentage. But a small percentage of hundreds of millions of people is still a significant number.

Trump needs to stop pretending that there is no risk in getting vaccinated. There IS a risk, and people should be aware of it.

You clearly don't know the first thing about viruses or masks if you sincerely believe that a surgeon's mask is effective against the transmission of viruses.

Why do you think that there are respirators used in paint shops where the VOCs are larger than a corona virus? Do you actually believe that a piece of paper loosely strapped to your face is good enough in a Level 3 biolab?

=======================
"caused" might be too strong, but we simply do not know. The powers that be have both refused to research this question and also are trying to mask the data. VAERS is overwhelmed with incident reports, as we know, and we also know more than 10,000 people have died in close proximity in time to getting a vaccine shot. Ask zombie Hank Aaron about that, for one example.

Trump is all excited that Biden "thanked" him for getting Warp Speed to deliver the goods last year, but I myself am highly suspicious of any olive branch Biden extends. That aside, though, an honest assessment of hte vaccine's dangers and benefits would be welcome. In the old America, where science wasn't corrupted by ideological people, that would happen. Mask mandates are what have been studied - they are useless b/c of what I already said. I have never supported mask mandates b/c I know how people are - I have kids, and I know myself before I got leukemia. Tell someone to do something and they tend to slack - make someone do something, and they purposely look to avoid it or make it fail anyway possible. Which is the American way, & a good thing.

But properly used, quality masks (aka - not cloth masks, gaiters, pointless sewn pieces of garbage with gaps) have use...the higher the quality of the masks and the more care and concern in the use, the more value they have.

Posted by: Nova local at December 24, 2021 09:01 AM (exHjb)

Surgeons do not use cloth masks. Which is what 99% of Americans are wearing. 99% of people also do not wear their masks properly, even when wearing surgical masks. Touching them constantly, pulling them down, putting them back up, etc... all improper usage and does more harm than good (i.e. once you touch your mask, your bacteria from the mask is all over your hands. How many people do you know who after touching their masks immediately go wash their hands? People pull their mask down to eat, touch their food with their bacteria-filled hands, shove it in their mouths, then pull their mask back up.)

Anthony Fauci's own research paper into the 1918 influenza concluded that more people died from bacterial pneumonia than flu, due to the widespread wearing of masks.

No. Does it catch some stuff? Yeah. Lightning does strike and lotteries are won. Some viruses will get caught in the mask. A lot more will make it through. Unsealed respirators are not that effective against really small stuff and a virus that gets caught does not negate the many more that do not.

And then there's the problem of practices and hygiene. Assume masks are nominally effective. N95s, properly fitted and worn without facial hair, are. But without good practices and hygiene, the effects are negated.

The purpose of widespread masking was in the other direction - to prevent *your* germs from escaping, and there is some benefit there. A lot of the water vapor you exhale that has a bunch of virus in it gets broken up or caught by the mask. But the "carriers are asymptomatic for up to two weeks" stuff never panned out - it was an unfounded fear.

No, in a clinical setting (which also good hygiene and practice control), there are several benefits to wearing a mask. The two big ones are to prevent you from breathing into a wound or mucus membrane or accidentally sneezing or drooling on a patient, and to protect you from blood splatter. If you're working on someone and blood hits your face (easy to have happen, especially for dentists), it's much better to have it hit a barrier than enter your nose and mouth. The barrier works the other way, too. The goal isn't virus control.

Salvation Army Doubles Down on Promoting Social Justice, Backs Soros-ANTIFA 'Bail Project' Front
The Salvation Army's ties to "woke" social justice organizations is more extensive than once thought, as they are an official "partner" with the Bail Project.

The discovery was made by the Pro Gun News. The Bail Project is a George Soros-ANTIFA front that works to get violent felons released onto the streets in order to commit more crimes. The American Bail Coalition has exposed this organization at length.

306 My favorite Christmas song as a kid was always Little Drummer Boy.

I liked the message that even if I was poor and had no gift to offer Jesus, I could play a song for Him and that would make Him happy and smile at me. I grew up extremely introverted, shy and insecure (something I still suffer from) so I saw myself in the drummer boy. The song made me think that Jesus would be happy with me if I played my best for him in life, even if I did not have much to offer in physical gifts. This comforted me.

321 I don't know what Trump should do regarding the so-called vaccines. The fact is that a large amount of the population feels that it protects them and their loved ones from getting sick and does allow for some return to normalcy (depending on blue vs red states, of course) and therefore are grateful that the vaccine is available.
To me however, evidence keeps surfacing, despite Fauci and his big tech and other worldwide allies efforts in squelching it, that the so-called vaccine is a grand experiment that was in the works long before "operation warp-speed" started and does little against the Fauci created virus and does appear to actually be dangerous to some people. (I'll concede that there is evidence it will lessen symptoms and reduce the chance of being hospitalized, therefore more of a treatment rather than a true vaccine, but Ivermectin is likely more effective without the risk that comes with the shot.)
So, what to do? Take the accolades but also say you are against mandates seems to be a logical choice.
But I'll admit that position really reduces my enthusiasm to vote for him.

356 Prediction: The student loan payment pause will ultimately be extended to at least a date after the 2022 mid-terms. For use as Democrat campaign tool. Those idiots are so predictable.

My prediction is that biden will sign an EO excusing the first $50,000 of student loans before the mid terms.

358 I don't know what Trump should do regarding the so-called vaccines. The fact is that a large amount of the population feels that it protects them and their loved ones from getting sick and does allow for some return to normalcy (depending on blue vs red states, of course) and therefore are grateful that the vaccine is available.

There is a large amount of the population that feels socialism is a good ideology. There is a large amount of the population who believes in "green energy" and "saving the planet" through "climate change" policies. There is a large amount of the population which supports abortion as "women's healthcare". There is a large amount of the population which holds views on things because they are stupid and ignorant. It is the responsibility of a good leader to stand for what is right, not do what is easy and encourage people to continue holding wrong beliefs.

I think some have argued that modern conservatism started with Barry Goldwater and The Conscience of the Conservative in 1960. Goldwater himself was not successful, but his efforts inspired Ronald Reagan. We need our new Barry Goldwater.

I'm cool with that. I used part of the "stimulus check" to buy some crypto and have been buying crypto with what I'd normally pay on my loan each month. Even with a down market I currently have 3x more than my total loan balance.

383 259 If a store wants me to wear a mask I have two options. Wear one or go next door to the store that does not require it. As long as the decision is the store owner, I have no issue with it.
-----
It used to be that any business had 'Right Of Admission Reserved' but since the Civil Rights laws a business cannot refuse service unless someone is being a nuisance. Remember the Bakery/Lesbian wedding?
So I don't think a store can refuse me service for not masking unless there's an actual law mandating it.

384 260 Most Americans have no fucking clue that the working poor in the US are better off than the middle class of most EU countries. An upper middle class family in the US probably lives better than the landed gentry of the old world.

Have you been to what used to be called Western Europe? Most people live very well there. Taxes are higher than here but they have a shorter working week, free health care (I know, taxes) and long vacation periods. They eat and dress well.
