Christmas Eve Cafe

Merry Christmas!

I wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas!

Easy on the nog!

This is an old story, from 2016 (just after the election). You can read about it here.

The puppy waited patiently in line and the siblings caught her looking at Santa with pure excitement the whole time. When the time came to meet the man in the big red suit, Kya took a seat on his lap and gave a huge smile right to the camera. It's as if she had been waiting for this moment her whole life.

Pigeon plays see-saw on a shovel.

Wasn't me!

When I was little, I hated this kind of owl. I thought they looked like butts.

Automatic dog disposal.

Polite husky.

My work here is done.

Monkey love.

Happy dog prancing in the snow. (Just posted it but it's on-theme.)

Another repeat: too many St. Bernards.

Another repeat: A Christmas trail in Grindlewald, Switzerland.

27 Merry Christmas, Ace! Although it's not truly Christmas at the HQ until The Waitresses lightshow video gets posted.

I totally forgot about that.

So, thanks to Hoplite Housewife:

Another version here.

And here.

And here.

14 Time for one last Xmas movie for the year - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. I suggested Home Alone, but that was a too recent view (we always watch George C Scott's Christmas Carol, the Grinch, and Charlie Brown and my spouse always watches the Christmas Story and then we try to add an old favorite, and this one won this year's vote)...

Lamp turned out to be an actual human leg, dismembered and made into a lamp as a trophy the the ancient demon responsible.

Demon possesses one member of a family, kills them all, then sends a trophy leg to the next family of victims.

My bet on the next one to be possessed: the Old Man.

312 From the sidebar: I would note that police will more likely simply allow resisting/felling violent criminals to run free, because that's what the jury has told the police they demand. When a violent perp resists or runs, let him go to kill citizens. Otherwise, we'll throw you in jail.
The citizenry will suffer the consequences of their policy choice.

The going for guns first instead of tasers happened in this tragic case yesterday. Some asshole was attacking people with a bike lock in a Los Angeles department store. He was beating up some woman when officers fired on him. One bullet missed its target, went through wall, struck and killed 14-year old girl on other side who was trying on dresses.
