The Morning Rant

LETING THEIR FREAK FLAGS FLY

I hope none of us are shocked or surprised by this:

meme 20211222 00.jpg

Every time I see something like this, I have to fight the temptation to think that such borderline violent hatred is something new, a recent, abnormal development. I have to remind myself that the only part that's different is that they're now saying it out loud. These sentiments used to come out occasionally, but now, in the era of social media, it has become quite common. For example:

meme 20211222 01.jpg

Later on, Bette "apologized", but for what, exactly? Does she really believe she was wrong or is it because she regrets that she got a lot of blowback? The point is, swells like Midler and Navarro have always felt this way about the residents of flyover country, whom they consider beneath them (swidt?). But, in the past, they may have felt bad, or at least mildly self-conscious, blurting such sentiments out for all to hear. The thought that they might come off as boorish or ill-mannered acted as a restraining factor. Not always, but it did lessen the frequency of such outbursts.

Only now it's different. Because now there's a reason for venting their hatred. And the best part is that it's one that makes them feel good, and altruistic, and altogether righteous in themselves. They think they're glowing with virtue. They can voice their withering contempt for the plebes and still feel good about themselves. And that reason under which they excuse their obnoxious behavior is 'public health'. By not letting those dirty, unvaccinated people into her house, vaccinated Navarro basks in her virtue. And why not? She believes those people pose a threat to her health, and are selfish, and mean, so it's now OK to banish them from her presence. It's now OK to simply write off millions of Americans as being unworthy to participate in national life. As I said, they've always believed this, but now they feel safe about not only saying so openly, and also implementing such rules and regulations so as to enforce their preferences. Instead of feeling reluctant or hesitant or regretful about what they're doing, they feel happy and warm inside, like they're doing a good deed.

Never mind that their desire for medical apartheid is based on a foundation of gaslighting, superstition, and out-and-out lies about immunology and virology. You could try explaining it to them, but it wouldn't work. They're not open to changing their minds about any of it, because it has given them so much of what they want, and reinforced so much of what they believe to be true about themselves -- and us. Self-righteousness is a hard addiction to give up. I've heard voices in the clown world of social media express their wish that the unvaxed be (a) forced to stay home, (b) denied medical care out of spite, (c) relocated to remote regions, or (d) taken out and shot. Because while there is a natural restraint on evil, when you think you're doing something that's good and right and proper, there are practically no limits on the harm you might inflict on others.

AoSHQ Weekly Prayer List

Prayer Requests:

10/17 – Pollywog the ‘Ette passes along a prayer request for Brother Tim, who was admitted to the hospital Sunday for kidney stones and UTI. He needs both full healing, since this isn’t the first time he’s had these problems, and financial blessings. Prayer that he be able to have rest and peace, not something hospitals are known for, would be helpful as well.
11/16 Update – Brother Tim is healing, but still needs prayers for his job situation.

10/22 - Pookysgirl asks for prayers for Pooky, as he is going in for extensive neuropsychological testing for 4-8 hours on Oct 27, so he could really use prayers today. He’s had issues with similar testing in the past, so prayers for calming and peace would be appreciated.
11/29 update – The results were not what they were hoping for. Pooky did not get any specific diagnoses but got put into 4 different “unspecified” categories. He sees his therapist and his med manager within the next month, and hopefully they can help them understand the diagnoses and any medication changes. This news has been very difficult to handle.
12/14 Update – Yesterday morning, Pooky’s mental health team had a conference call and decided that Pooky needed to be evaluated immediately. Pookysgirl took Pooky to the local VA (1.5 hours away) and he was admitted to the psych ward. He will probably be out by Christmas. Please pray that they get all the logistics figured out and this his meds can be properly adjusted.
12/20 Update – Pooky came home Friday (12/17). His med adjustments seem to be working well.

11/4 – Tonypete asks for prayers for his dear friend Beth’s daughter Dominique who is 36 years old and has been diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. It has already spread to her liver and appears to be very aggressive. Please pray for a remission and for her doctors’ skill. Failing that, prayers for a Holy Death.
12/17 Update – Dominique passed away today. May her memory be eternal.

11/5 – Eeyore mood has an update:
I wrote you a couple of times about my friend's 4 year old grandson who was killed by the child's mother's boyfriend. He got out on bail because he was only charged with Negligence Resulting in Death. The autopsy report has not been formally released. The results could bring an increase in charges. The man is due back in court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 15th. I would ask for prayer that the man who killed my friend's grandson be charged for the crimes he committed and justice be done. Also that God's peace be for the child's father, siblings and grandmother so they know He cares for them. Understandably, they are still devastated by this tragedy. Compounding this is that the child's mother is still defending her son's killer, saying it was an accident. If you are on Facebook and want more information, you can go to the Justice for Brantley page or go to the justiceforbrantley.com Thank you for your assistance.
11/18 Update – The mother’s boyfriend is still out on bond. No new charges were added. The tentative trial date is June 22.

11/16 – Inspector’s best friend Tom was diagnosed with Covid last week. It’s been like a nasty flu, but he is recovering. Prayers for his continued recovery, that it not affect his job.

11/16 – Inspector’s co-worker Marie was diagnosed last week with uterine cancer. It was caught early, so they’re hopeful for the prognosis, but prayer for healing, and strength for her and her family would be very appreciated.

12/20 – Bluebell requested prayers for Tami’s family (husband, daughter, son and his wife and their baby boy) at the death of Tami (from natural causes).

For Healing:

11/3 – MammaBonita is asking for prayers for her father who is 84 and having kidney failure.
12/8 Update – It looks like her father will be starting on dialysis soon, hopefully the kind that he and his wife can manage at home.

11/9 – Weak Geek asks for prayers for his father, who is recovering from surgery. He is out of intensive care but drops into bouts of defeatism. Also prayers for WG’s sister, who is on site and therefore shoulders the brunt of this burden.
12/14 Update – Weak Geek asks for continued prayers for his father, who is still recovering from intestinal surgery. He’s in a nursing home now. Your prayers are working; he beat back pneumonia. This will be his first Christmas without his wife. Prayers for comfort will also be appreciated.

11/24 – commissar of Plenty and Lysenko gender fluid requests prayers for healing and no surgery required (20% odds) for a medical problem he is experiencing.

11/28 - Ladyl asks for complete healing for Hattie, a 3 year old who is undergoing multiple complex surgeries for a congenital skin condition. Brad, a middle-aged man diagnosed with colon cancer who may end up with a colostomy bag needs prayers as well, that his physicians find the best possible solution and cure his condition. And DR, a 65 year old man who also requested prayers for an undisclosed situation.

11/28 – JerseyDevilRider requests prayer for his son’s best friend, Ben (age 24), who has been hospitalized and diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. They think the Crohn’s disease treatment he received caused the problem. It causes this issue in 1% of those who use that treatment. He has been started on chemo.
12/15 Update – Ben came home last week. He is still very weak and thin, but doing better. He is still on chemo but at least his month long hospital stay is over. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.

12/8 – Mammabonita asks for prayers. She just had a lesion removed from her ear that might be melanoma and she has to go back for further surgery.

12/8 – CC requests prayers for his friend, Dave (the best friend a man could ever have) and Dave’s wife Michelle. Pray for remission. Pray for strength. Pray for Michelle’s heart so she can bear this burden as his caretaker.

12/16 – Probably Not Tacitus requests prayers for his dad who tested positive for Covid. The family is quarantining, as well as the young college student who rents a room from them. They have obtained prescriptions for HCQ and Ivermectin, and they may be able to get monoclonal antibodies too. But they would appreciate your prayers for healing.

For submission guidelines and other relevant info, please contact Annie's Stew, who is managing the prayer list. You can contact her at apaslo at-sign hotmail dot com

If you see a prayer request posted in a thread comment, feel free to copy and paste it and e-mail it to Annie's Stew. She tries to keep up with the requests in the threads, but she's not here all of the time, so she may not see it unless you e-mail it to her. Please note: Prayer requests are generally removed after five weeks or so unless we receive an update.

Romans 8:26-27
[26] In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. [27] And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.

If you want to get jabbed then do it, if you want to not wear a mask then do it, if you wish to fornicate with yourself then do it, we simply don't care. UNLESS you try and force it upon us then all bets are off.

And one other thing, why oh why do those on our side still spew the 800k from the Lung Flu lie. Can we stop that please. And why the running totals anyway like every other viruses instead of the yearly breakdowns we normally see. --------
*raises hand*

Logistically, this will be a serious challenge. The bulk of the military is based throughout the country in small enclaves and also made up of the National Guard/Reserve.

There aren't enough regular troops to enforce something like this outside of a very small number of places. They could do it in DC, but it would be an embarrassing failure in places like Texas and Florida.

And those regular troops are forward deployed in places like Germany and Korea.

So things like cancelling the election and rounding up the unvaxxed are not going to happen without a massive and obvious logistical effort by the military. They can't hide something like that.

If you are an atheist you probably have some significant thanatophobia. If the here and now is all you are ever going to get, then you should be afraid of death.

But there is still the quality of life issue. I've mentioned this to a few COVID LIVs I know - you've just spent 2 years hiding from life, which is probably about 3% of your life. How much more of your life are you willing to sacrifice to "protect yourself"

140 But, in the past, they may have felt bad, or at least mildly self-conscious, blurting such sentiments out for all to hear.

Similar phenomenon with blacks/leftists with anti-white racism. Prior to Obama winning in 2008, most anti-white racism was kept to race-hustlers and rap culture. After Obama won, that was the signal to every racist to let their anti-white freak flag fly, because they had a black man in charge. And it's just gotten progressively worse and now ingrained in culture every year over the past 13 years.

145 Back when I bothered with following the idiocy of this post-scientific medieval society, it was the % of positive tests that mattered, which is logical. Not the absolute number, since, as has been pointed out, more tests = more results, including positives (true or false positives).

Does any but a tiny % of the public even realize the limited utility of the PCR is entirely dependent on the cycles used, and that above a certain number is meaningless?

168 The psychology of this is very interesting. So many dead-enders have been created by this mass psychosis programming. They'll never admit that their precious shots failed. Most will keep doubling down as long as the medical/government complex indulges them. As far as they care concerned, as long as any remain who haven't taken the clot shot, it's they who are responsible for all of life's woes.

Unfortunately, I'm beginning to suspect I'll never see the end of this in my lifetime. The power it gives the government and the graft that it empowers at many level is just too great to give up. The young are probably going to have to wait for the currently-living adults to die before they get a normal life back.

183 There aren't enough regular troops to enforce something like this outside of a very small number of places. They could do it in DC, but it would be an embarrassing failure in places like Texas and Florida.

To expand on my point, it wouldn't need to be done in more than "a very small number of places." Roll out the troops in some deep blue area, watch live broadcasts of people getting their heads kicked in, or - ideally, from the MFMs POV - shot, and that will be enough to cow everyone else.

No one is willing to stand up and bring this country to a screeching halt with boycotts and strikes over this fake flu, which would be a relatively easy task to do. What makes you think people would suddenly find their nuts when the US military starts blowing them away?

In any event, I need a quick nap before work. I won't pump out any more cynical depressism on this thread.

209 Trump got ambushed by CV-19. Somehow his team mostly managed to slog through it all and produce a vaccine within a year. All of this was done while the Uniparty unrelentingly undermined the efforts to deal with the outbreak and an actual insurrection cheered on by them. FBJ asserted he was going to stop CV-19 and as of today it is official: he has utterly failed. He knew there would be variants and did nothing to shore up testing and the medical system while more people died from CV-19 on his watch than under Trump with far better tools and knowledge. Using the Uniparty rules of the last 4 years, FJB has blood on his hands from his willful incompetence. Now, Omicron is raging out of control and his response is he is going to send out test kits staring sometime in January and deploy 1,000 service members to help out with a vaccination push with a vaccine that doesn't stop the spread. He has a lost the battle - nothing he does will stop the spread until it burns itself out naturally. This phony savior owns a few hundred thousand deaths; he knew better and did nothing until it was far too late. FJB is a disaster in every manner imaginable.

Posted by: G'rump928(c) at December 22, 2021 11:43 AM (yQpMk)

As soon as they announced the "sequel" it was obvious what they were going to do. The world has changed a lot in 20+ years, and the Wachowski's have since gone batshit insane. Not a bit surprised to hear they're going to "take back" the whole redpill thing that was co-opted by the right. Like the left has never hijacked anything in language or culture, ever.

I won't be seeing it, hope it's a major flop and Keanu gets a nice fat check. But I'm afraid it'll still be popular enough to generate at least 2 more movies.

(as opposed to their accusation that the unvaxxed are The Danger that must by stopped by extreme measures)

1. Fake Pandemic has largely overturned our Republic, helping not only steal an election, but established an authoritarian Emergency Powers (forever) actions.

2. Open Borders policy bringing in drugs, enriching cartels, helping China kill us off via their fentanyl (yes, imo the flood of fentanyl is an intentional act of war .. added to the list)

3. The global warming farce, shutting down our energy, empowering China, enriching Solyndra type green energy soundrels.

... Build Back Better, NWO, Global Initiatives ... I see central planning, but it is outside our government structure. While Hillary Accuses ... states that a free election of Trump would be the end of our "democracy", the inverse is more true -- the "election" fraud of leftists and globalist puppets is the real destructive power.

Honestly, the panic does have a point. Not much of one by now, but proactive treatment used to be common for this type of disease. Cold or flue, doctors used to say, drink lots of liquids, get lots of vitamin C. But common sense is Trumpist, so they can’t recommend lots of Vitamin D, using hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin and a bit of zinc, etc.

Which means that instead of saying, go home and take action, they’re saying go home and feel helpless.

233 NFLPA president JC Tretter says NFL nearly canceled three games that were rescheduled due to COVID-19 outbreaks among teams

https://es.pn/32jEuAv

Tretter, also Cleveland's starting center, was asked Wednesday about criticism he received from Raiders players, notably by linebacker K.J. Wright and cornerback Casey Hayward Jr., for pushing to get the game rescheduled. On Friday, Hayward tweeted, "I'm sure the NFLPA president playing for the Browns didn't have any effect on these negotiations."

"I think the thing that people didn't understand was I was fighting for the same thing for the Browns players as I was for the Raiders players, which was to get paid. ... I don't think everybody was fully aware of just how close those games were to being canceled," Tretter said. "And I don't think everybody was fully aware that, if canceled, they weren't going to get paid. Both teams weren't going to get paid."

That Newsweek article, LOL. If only.

The possibility that there will be armed resistance against their rampant excesses exists only as a figment of the Leftist imagination. It's a basic subliminal fear/guilt reaction they have because they know it could theoretically, physically occur, and that what they are doing warrants it.

But it's just a fever-dream in the Current Year. The events of the last five years, and particularly the last two haven't catalyzed any reaction of *any kind*. This country is not ready for anything besides lockstep compliance with authority. I think we've got a lot of increasing tyranny, incompetence, shame, degradation and decline before people force change.

After the developments of the Trump administration, I drastically revised my outlook about future possibilities. My new prediction is that the regime has about forty years left in the tank before lamp-post time.

310 233 NFLPA president JC Tretter says NFL nearly canceled three games that were rescheduled due to COVID-19 outbreaks among teams

https://es.pn/32jEuAv

As far as I can tell, this has to do with the Kaboom-level ad programming that the site uses. This is not an excuse for Safari—web sites shouldn’t be able to do this to a browser. But it’s easy enough to fix (in my experience): turn off third-party javascript.

I use Autarky to do this, and it makes browsing the entire web, not just AOSHQ, much nicer. Set Safari to use “Content Blockers” on all sites; then, disable it on the rare occasions a site is better with that feature disabled.

Drug overdose increases along with exploding numbers of suicides coupled with the murder increases most likely account for the vast majority of "excess" deaths this year.

363 As far as I can tell, this has to do with the Kaboom-level ad programming that the site uses.

What appears to be happening is that the background JavaScript from third-party (usually advertising) sites does so much crap and uses so much memory that it crashes the browser, which then attempts to reload the web page, and repeats this several times until it recognizes it’s been crashing over and over.

Then what the browser usually does is ask, do you want me to keep crashing over and over, although not in those words.

Blocking the third-party scripts short-circuits that by not loading the scripts that are crashing the browser.

I try to send the cost of a few boxes of Kaboom! to Ace every once in a while to make up for not viewing the ads on the site.

I was mildly asymptomatic for three days, but then was moderately asymptomatic for a week. At that point I became severely asymptomatic for about 12 hours, then returned to normal. My wife and kids had a milder form of the same thing. Once I had three negative tests in a row I felt asymptomatic enough to go back to work.

I was disappointed but not really all that surprised. I like all of the original trilogy, but I always felt like the whole thing was hanging from a thread. Only one of the Wachowskis coming back and then having it be about the emotional death of parents while WB probably offered little oversight at the script stage did nothing good for the film's ability to tell a story.

But, I'm reading other viewers who got into it as well, but it's all hinging on how much you had originally got invested in the stilted romance between Neo and Trinity in the originals.

Though I specifically remember her mom stating that she specifically does not abide by the Biblical teaching for wives to submit to their husbands. I was already a lapsed Catholic at the time and barely holding on to my belief in Christianity, and it struck me as just yet another case of a pick-and-choose Christian, of which I had met numerous in my life. Pick and choose to follow the teachings of a religion except for the stuff you don't like.

Speaking of ad programming: I had a spooky thing happen.

We all know that the phones listen in on everything we say, and it's no surprise when we have a conversation about some product/category and then instantly get targeted ads about it.

But this was next-level shit. I wanted a nice watch for the boy for Christmas, because he's a little man now. Being a gift and all, I never mentioned this aloud. I went to the jeweler, and described in vague terms what I was looking for, and my price range. She selected a model for my review, and I was pleased, and bought it. At no point was the name of the make or model mentioned. I purchased it and left.

Less than 24 hours later, on this very site, I was advertised the *exact* same one with factory-direct pricing, in a clear bid to get me to return the retail purchase and get a price break.

Big Data grows more creepy and intrusive by the day.

421 Can I say that the Wachowskis were better movie makers when they were men?

They had one good movie in them, and a bunch of meh or terrible crap

423 USN Takim,

I've survived O2 levels in the high 60s. Prayers that he recovers just fine.

Over a week, now, that song has been playing in my head. Thanks a bunch, whoever linked that.

426 Read those tweets again - multiply them in your mind by however many millions agree - then tell me again why those in power will back off these restriction next spring.

Its delusional hope - by people trying to convince themselves that somehow, someway, this will all work out.

427 Losing Tami has been a reminder of how hard even a normal Christmas can be. So many loved ones left us at this time of year. I'm holding my breath till 02JAN.

431 That can work both ways. I would feel uncomfortable sometimes since it seemed the way I was the only one of the few that thought that way and they left was kind of justified in getting mad about it.

I don't feel that way anymore and it's very liberating. I live in a very conservative area so I don't see too many from the left on a daily basis but they're here. And I'm just waiting for someone to say something like that so that I can put them in their place and do it calmly without concern because I'm not alone.

It's always a two way street. Sometimes your opponents are very good at hiding that but it's there. Just look harder.

432 I've had a scratchy throat for the last couple of days. I wonder if it's allergies or Omicron. My friend asked if I was gonna get a test and I said why? I don't have a week to wait for an appt. to get one.

433 Go for it, Lars. Skin that smokewagon, as the line goes. Oh . . . you are expecting somebody else to do that for you, too, aren't you? I'm afraid this job is a bit harder to outsource than saysifying your wife.
