Quick Covid Hits

The White House issued a statement on the omicron variant:

Biden apologist and Noted Conservative AllahPundit said this statement was about two things: 1, to scare people, but 2, more to signal that the country isn't going to quarantine itself further just to protect the unvaccinated.

Given that all the blue areas are going right back into lockdown, that second claim seems to be Disinformation. In fact, the left is going right into quarantine, which is the only state of being where life makes any sense for them any longer.

The most important part of this message isn't either of those: It's 3, Blame for my failures lies with others. Biden promised he would "not shut down America" but would instead "shut down the virus." He's violated both of those promises, and is shutting down America again while also failing to shut down the virus.

So like any socialist, he needs some scapegoats -- he needs counter-revolutionaries, subversives, and foreign spies to blame the failures of The State on. He needs Hoarders and Wreckers.

He needs Enemies of the State who subvert all the good works of the state.

And of course that's you -- Republicans. People who don't get vaxed. People who do get vaxed but oppose vaccine mandates. People who do not engage in Mask Theater or engage in it to the minimum extent possible.

That is the main message here: My failures aren't my failures, they're the failures of my political enemies.

Strange -- Biden, the leftwing media, and the neoliberal NeverTrump movement told us that taming covid would be so, so easy. All we had to do is get rid of the Orange Demon-Man and wear our masks for Two Weeks To Control the Spread.

All we needed was a president who would engage in Mask Theater on camera, to show the plebes that masking was good, and covid would go away.

People who themselves literally never wore masks on camera, like Jake Tapper and Dr. Guy P. Benson, Ph.D., were fond of this "Trump Must Mask to Inspire Others" claim.

But, as Trump predicted: Covid did not go away, and it became endemic, and we're just going to have to live with it.

And because the silly political anti-science lies of NeverTrump, the leftwing media, the Democrats and Biden (largely overlapping groups, of course) are proven to be lies, they need new lies to explain the old lies away.

Then: Covid is very easy to stop, we just need to get rid of Trump

Now: Boy this covid is one complicated nut to crack!

Yeah, and it was an even tougher nut to crack when we knew so little about it and we didn't have the Trump vaccines to give us partial protection against it.

By the way: Trump is bragging that he played a role in giving the vaccines to the world, which I don't hear his leftwing detractors mentioning very often.

Gee, if they really wanted to increase vaccine acceptance among conservatives, you'd think they'd point out that Trump was a big mover in delivering the vaccines in a record nine months.

But they never say that, because they don't want to give Trump credit for anything, and also, they really don't care if people die all that much. They just like being credited as being Concerned about public health.

I'm not hot about mistaken prediction made earlier as I am about Biden continuing to spread Deadly Disinformation now, when we know these vaccines are very leaky.

Though I am wondering about the initial vaccine test pool: I'm thinking that maybe the test subjects were younger and healthier, which is how the vaccines wound up delivering such high rates of effectiveness in the test phase, but then delivered much lower rate out in the real world, when a population of older, less healthy (and more susceptible to covid) people were taking the shots.

Like when they earlier said the vaccines would make you 95% immune from hospitalization-level covid: Was that partly just because the population they were testing on was already pretty much naturally immune to being sick enough from covid to be hospitalized?

It's a question worth asking. Do any readers know if this has already been answered? Were the test subjects representative of the real general population or were they, like many test subject groups, screened to be younger and healthier so that they wouldn't be in so much danger if the vaccine had bad side-effects?

Good place to watch is the sports leagues, pro and college. They have been all-in on the masking and "vaccines" with their ridiculous protocols from the beginning. And now with "omicron", they are going crazy with protocolling even harder. Cancelling games, testing weekly, sending tens of players on each team into "protocols" due to "positive test", preventing head coaches from coaching games due to "positive test", postponing games, postponing entire teams' schedules due to protocols or due to "crossing borders" (NHL policy), teams in college men's basketball having to cancel or forfeit games.

People like to say that sports is "back to normal", because they are allowing stadiums full of people without masks, but that is not the case at all. Yes, stands are full and no masking for fans, but the protocols for teams are outrageous.

Watch the news about the Super Bowl. It's in Los Angeles this year, in about 7 weeks. Newsom I think has all of California locked down and "vaccine passports"? Will Super Bowl be played?

Agreed. I've been saying this for a while. If we get to the point where Kung Flu shot deaths and adverse reactions are so massive even the MFM can't wave it away, the DNC / MFM will turn on a dime, smear the shot as the "Trump vaccine," claim we're only in this because the Bad Orange Man pressured pure Dr Fauci and - this is the really good one! - insist they were never in favor of mandates, lockdowns or vaccine passports and only went along with it because the GOP 'seized' on COVID as a way to destroy Biden's presidency.

65 Our county health department tracks COVID cases, deaths and hospitalizations. Right now about 30% of the hospitalizations are people who were "fully" vaccinated, but that portion has been rising in the last month.

Overall, I don't think that "95%" figure was going to be static. It was largely based on the trials and kept getting repeated. They simply didn't have enough time or data to realize the efficacy faxed over time.

My guess is the testing is total bullshit and along the lines of what you suggested. Fauci focused solely on the vaccine rather than therapeutics, and did not give a single shit what the data, now under seal, showed.

Which is a problem since, first, they are the group most in need of protection, and second, there is reason to think that the vaccine works less well for them.

Which means no vaccines should have been ready for the public until Nov 2021. You can't compress 18 months of development and testing into 6 months. But that is what they claimed to have done. J&J is a modification of an influenza virus that still causes your body to (allegedly) produce anti-Covid antibodies.

I was careful in my religious exemption request to make my primary objection to the J&J injection due to the usage of aborted fetal tissue in the production of the injection.

The J&J shot used an animal adenovirus as the carrier for the spike. Not mRNA. Depending on who you believe, not a huge difference in end effects. Astra Zenica used the same approach as J&J with animal adenovirus as the carrier for the spike protein.

None of the current vaxx approved are sterilizing vaccines that prevent reinfection.

I once worked at a startup and they hired a very high profile scientist to represent us to the industry. I was in charge of research, but he was VP or something or other. (maybe CTO?) but he had lots of connections and everyone in industry knew him. He had worked at very large European company before going to CA.

Well, he was screwing up and the division he was running was making a mess out of a working process that I had handed them. I to another division when he took over, but all he had to do was maintain. I had done all the hard work.

He did a demo for a customer and had to fake the data. He sent them a presentation with excel graphs. Smart customer double clicked on graphs and up pops the spreadsheet. Graph came from tab labeled "joe's data" It was all fake. Customer was livid and I had to go to an emergency meeting to grovel. We were done in the indsutry.

At the meeting he actually said "you don't understand , I had to fake the data or you would not have bought our product. I had no choice."

Ace, its not a vaccine. The efficacy has nothing to do with the definition or what people are arguing.

A vaccine is a partial dose of a weakened or dead version of the illness so that your body learns to identify the danger and remembers how to fight it.

This does NOTHING OF THE KIND. It doesn't keep you from getting sick. It keeps you from getting AS sick as you might have, in theory, by preventing your body from freaking out as badly.

Its not a vaccine by any sane definition of the word. It just isn't.

I've had a number of times where I got a physical at the end of the year and the doc would ask me if I had a flu shot that year. I usually said no and asked him if I needed to get one and his reply was always "nah, that particular strain had already burned itself out. No need."

All of this became political and everything everybody knew about the flu immediately got put on the shelf and forgotten about.

I found out over the weekend one of my sons has come down with the plain old flu. He said his team at work was dumbfounded like "What? You've got the regular flu?"

Yeah I remember when "Classic Coke" came back, and it definitely was not the same. Better than new Coke, but still not as good.

I have read several theories about why they did it, ranging from trying to get full control over the coke recipe patent to wanting to switch to corn syrup in a way that wasn't as jarring but I don't know what they were thinking.

I've never believed the switch was done purposefully. But what Coke did was use the disaster of switching to new coke to their strategic advantage. It worked in retrospect. It just got them to refocus and repackage a product that never needed changing.

They're inundated with people who put off going to see a doctor for infections, the onset of diabetes from eating garbage for 2 years and cancer. They're overwhelmed with shooting/stabbing/beating victims from thugs and thieves who are operating in a consequence free environment.

And these are the people who were lucky enough to run the ER obstacle course, which is standing room only in many cities because of millions of illegals using the facilities as their free family clinic.

Yup. That's why Mexican Coke was so popular for a while, but sadly they've shifted to corn syrup as well. For several years, the bottler in Hawaii was still using cane sugar, until they stopped bottling there.

Yes but with a caveat, my understanding is real world data says the flu "vaccine" also isn't sanitizing for the flu variant it is designed for because it will almost certainly have mutated too much by the time it gets to you.

I got fewer cases of the flu when I was taking the flu shot, but still got the flu several times over a number of years.

Reading Berenson and some other substacks, my understanding is that yes, the test subjects were younger and healthier, but:

1. They excluded people from the vaccine without stating why (speculation was vaccine injury);
2. The overall % of percent without a problem from covid was like 93% in the control arm and 95% in the vaccine arm - and somehow from the 2% difference they decided it was 97% effective;
3. There was slightly more all-cause mortality in the vaccine arm than the control arm in the phizer (I think) study, but the FDA finally reported their final numbers there were 4 additional in the vaccine arm - so you were about 20% more deaths in the vaccine arm. Of course, if they died of heart inflammation or whatever it really wasn't from the vaccine.
4. They destroyed the control arm once they came up with the 97% number and let the control arm take the vaccine. So we no longer has a baseline to measure against.

Ace, you are simply wrong about this. You are conflating the fact that for whatever reason some individuals don't get protection from a particular vaccine with the designation of "leaky" which has been around and used in specific cases to designate a vaccine that doesn't do anything but suppress symptoms. In common usage someone getting a vaccine expects to get sterilizing immunity from it.

Further when someone says it's not a vaccine, they also tend to mean that it's not inert virus being injected into so that your immune system can learn how to react to it without the threat of infection. It's a completely new (and until the covid scam, untested) process that in the end only teaches your system to react to the specific protein string your body has been programmed to make.

Which is something we need to get back to. Ask almost anyone the common definition of Vaccine, and these shots do not fit. Apparently in a very non-french gesture years ago when France joined the EU, they changed the shade of blue in their flag to match EU blue as a sign of unity. I would have thought the French thing to do would have been to demand the EU change its blue to be more French, but I digress... When the blue changed, the french navy told then president to fuck himself, and kept the original blue on french flags flown on Navy ships. Marcon has changed the rest of the flags back to the original blue.

Using the current data at Worldometers, the Death rate of reported cases (positive tests) is 1.6 percent. Increasing the cases by including unreported cases will reduce the 1.6 percent rate. Use whatever ratio of reported and unreported cases you think is right.

COVID death rate in the total US population (I used 325 million) given the reported 827,771 deaths is 0.25 percent. Ratio that as you choose to account for deaths falsely attributed to COVID.

Bottom Line: COVID death rate for people who are infected by the bug is less than 1.6 percent. COVID dead to-date among the total US population is less than 0.25 percent.

Why do I have to do this math? Why aren't The Junta, CDC, Fauci, and every media outlet giving us these numbers, daily?

There are some indications from Scotland and Holland that the all cause mortality is greater for the vaxxed than the unvaxxed. This is greater this year than last, and saw a bump starting about 6 months after the vaccine was first released.
There are a number of possible solutions, I bet you can think of one or two yourself.

Yup. That's why Mexican Coke was so popular for a while, but sadly they've shifted to corn syrup as well. For several years, the bottler in Hawaii was still using cane sugar, until they stopped bottling there.

If Coke was smart, they'd do a "retro" coke with proper sugar, and charge more for it. I'd wager more people prefer the sweeter stuff though.

I understand that. But the definition of vaccine has been the same for quite some time now. Just because people didn't know the alternate meaning doesn't make it any less true.
It's doesn't really matter though, the COVID vaccines were pitched to America as the kind that prevented infection when they obviously were not. But they still are vaccines. The seasonal flu vaccine doesn't always prevent the flu it often just lessens the symptoms of the flu (and sometimes fails entirely).
Everyone who wants to now understands this distinction so the point is kind of moot.

That's absolutely the most obscene, staggering part. From what I gather, to this day there is no standard guidance as to home care for Covid. Denial of therapeutics that had at least an outside chance of working cost thousands, tens of thousands, of lives. But instead of doing something for people early on in their infections, they just sent them home and for the next days or weeks, allowed the virus to replicate to such great numbers in their lungs and other organs that by the time the patients came back, gasping for breath, it was too late to help them.

It's the reason why the WHO and Indian government were able to almost completely eliminate covid in Uttar Pradesh. They handed out boxes of ivermectin, Vit D, zinc, doxycycline (a common antibiotic), etc., and the virus was wiped out 98% in a matter of weeks there. We could have done the same here.

They don't make money if they're not. Next time I talk with my ICU buddy I'll ask what their typical % is. I know it's usually pretty full (IIRC he said 110 beds in their tower). It's only lately he's having a rough go because everybody is dying - he says this is a first in his 10 years there. As I mentioned a few days ago - their biggest issue right now is no meds. People are dying because the meds are on a boat sitting off of Long Beach. And no, everybody is out. So, he can't call up the Mayo and ask for "X" because they ran out 2 weeks ago too.

But I can predict if he's right, and some very common meds are suddenly no longer available, that's going to be something that will push many people over the edge. That or starving I'd guess are the torch, pitchfork and rope crowds. If they don't keel over from not getting their insulin first.

Well, I'm already on Zyrtec for the chronic allergies around this part of New Mexico. And I've been hitting the B complex, C and D vitamins pretty hard.

They painted themselves into a corner that everyone saw coming. The only way out is to change their protocols, which the NFL has already done. The NFL is in slightly easier to manage situation as they only have one game a week per team. The colleges are not going to be able to change their protocols. The NHL is in a tough spot because of Canada. The NBA could change their protocols and maybe will. Baseball is probably happy to be on break.

This is an excellent point - one that never gets hit home enough - no one who is rejecting vaccine is asking you to save them from getting the virus and they're just refusing to do what it takes because they are stupid or nervous. And to suggest that not getting vaccinated endangers the vaccinated has already long been proven false - no one has presented any study I am aware of that the unvaccinated inflict undue harm on the vaccinated so...what's the point?

The point can only be, logically, to force you to do something against your will, there can be no other logical point to it.

1) Population: sure, they tended to exclude sick patients, but they did have elderly patients and those with comorbidities
2) Duration: we know that vaccine efficacy wanes over time, and they did not generally look beyond 3-6 months
3) Evolution: the trials were conducted in the days of alpha variant, and with further evolution the spike antigen will become less recognizable to the antibodies
4) Observation: They did not actively look for "infection", and certainly not for "transmission". The primary outcome they assessed was confirmed symptomatic disease, especially those with severe symptoms requiring hospitalization. This means they waited for patients to report symptoms, and then they confirmed with a test. They did not really assess infection, which may have required nasal swabs and PCR tests every week or so regardless of symptoms. So, by design, they did not assess if the vaccine could prevent you from getting a silent, asymptomatic infection which you could pass to others. This is the main reason for the misinformation -- they don't understand the science.
