The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

"It's not my business why someone's carrying $100,000 at the airport unless it's illegal, and from everything we've seen it doesn't seem to be." Brandon Friedman, a member of Dallas's Community Police Oversight Board

Quote II

“There is so much to be gained if we can gather the willpower to undertake the transition at a pace fitting the urgency of reaching a zero carbon system. I suspect that these ideas, which might sound radical now, will soon become obvious in hindsight.” Anna-Katharina von Krauland, a PhD student in civil and environmental engineering at Stanford

Quote III

“I think it’s possible to acknowledge that you have benefited from a system that’s unequal without feeling shame or even guilt from it.” Jason Isbell

Quote IV

"Thankfully, I am only experiencing mild symptoms & am grateful for the protection provided against serious illness that comes from being vaccinated & boosted." Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)

Quote V

"I know people are tired of this. I'm tired of it too, believe me. But the virus is not tired of us. It's having a great old time changing its shape every couple of months, coming up with new variants and figuring out ways to be even more contagious." National Institutes of Health, Dr. Francis Collins

So, we are supposed to live in fear for a virus you cannot prevent. Sure, why not.

The US Armed Forces. Our politicians use them as pawns and to satisfy their thirst for worldwide dominance. They serve to uphold the US Constitution and The Bill of Rights. But now they are being told that the Freedom of Religion really doesn't apply to them or their brothers and sisters in arms.

Troops find religious exemption for COVID-19 vaccines unattainable

More than 12,000 military service members refusing the COVID-19 vaccine are seeking religious exemptions, and so far they are having zero success.

That total lack of approvals is creating new tensions within the military.

The pricks do not prevent one from catching the Kung Flu. Nor does it stop the spread of the virus. So all this is, is a power play for tyrannical dominance.

COVID-19 Outbreak Reported on Royal Caribbean Cruise Despite Fully Vaccinated Adult Passengers

Forty-eight people who were onboard the Royal Caribbean Symphony of the Seas cruise ship tested positive for COVID-19, the illnesses caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, although Royal Caribbean requires everyone aged 12 and older to show proof of vaccination in order to board their ships.

One small victory in the War on Fascism.

A Big Apple health inspector carrying out random COVID compliance checks was refused entry to a Staten Island bar — because she couldn’t show her own proof of vaccination.

Stunned bar manager Maggie Koronilian, 38, told The Post on Friday how she had to boot the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene employee from Big Nose Kate’s Saloon and Eatery on Tuesday.

“I don’t understand how you’re coming here enforcing something and not cooperating with the very thing that you’re trying to enforce,” she said of the Big Apple’s stringent Key to NYC rules for bars and restaurants.

Koronilian said the inspector came to the South Shore bar Tuesday with her official identification on clear display.

Another day, another reason why not to laugh or smile in North Korea.

North Koreans Banned From Laughing During Mourning Period For Kim Jong Il's Death

December 17 of this year marked the 10-year anniversary of the death of Kim Jong Il, father and predecessor of North Korea’s current leader, Kim Jong Un. To honor the psychopathic leader, there will be 11 days of mourning. Citizens cannot drink alcohol, laugh, or engage in leisure activities, a resident from the border city of Sinuiju told Radio Free Asia.

Grocery shopping will be banned on December 17.

What might be the punishment for violating the anti-laughing ordinance? Well, we’re talking about North Korea, after all.

All you had to do was admit you were wrong. Buh-bye.

A former California deputy was sentenced on Wednesday for throwing away a urine test that proved a detained driver wasn’t on drugs – before trying to have her jailed anyway on suspicion she was high on methamphetamine.

Richard Charles Barrios III, 29, an ex-deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office, will spend a year behind bars for the stunt at his police station in November 2019, according to prosecutors.

He pleaded guilty in November to destroying physical matter.

Who the hell is Ray Epps? And was the 1/6/21 Washington DC Capital incursion spurred on by Feds?

Six weeks ago, Revolver News published a blockbuster investigative report on Ray Epps — a man who, more than any other individual, appears to be the key unlocking the question of active federal involvement in the so-called “Capitol Siege” of January 6th.

Out of all of the thousands of January 6’s protesters, and the thousands of hours of publicly available footage from that fateful day, Ray Epps has turned out to be perhaps the only person nailed dead to rights confessing on camera to plotting a pre-planned attack on the Capitol. On both January 5 and January 6, Epps announced multiple times, at multiple locations, his upcoming plot to breach the US Capitol. He then spent hours attempting to recruit hundreds of others to join him. On top of it all, Epps was seen leading key people and managing key aspects of the initial breach of the Capitol grounds himself.

All those pricks and they still got sick.

Several BuzzFeed staffers have been infected with Covid-19 following the company’s Holiday party in Manhattan last week, according to a report from Insider.

Three BuzzFeed employees who tested positive following the party told Insider that they were vaccinated and received their booster shots prior to contracting Covid-19 at the event, and are experiencing mild symptoms.

The outbreak also comes as Covid-19 cases have risen in New York City due to the Omicron variant.

Last week we featured a story about Sen. Richard Dick Blumenthal speaking at Commie event. He's now back pedaling. What's worse, being an accomplished liar or dumber than a box of rocks?

Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal said in an interview on Friday that he regretted attending a communist award show last week.

The senator spoke at the Amsted Award ceremony on Dec. 11, where he honored the recipients with an honorary certificate. Speakers at the event regularly encouraged attendees to register with the Communist Party.

"My understanding was that this ceremony was strictly a labor event,’' Blumenthal said Friday in a telephone interview with the Hartford Courant. "If I had known the details, I wouldn’t have gone. ... Let me just say very emphatically, I’m a Democrat and a strong believer in American capitalism. I have been consistently a Democrat and a strong supporter and believer in American capitalism.’'

I think he's a lying scum sucking weasel.

Planning was not one of their strengths. Genius Award Winners.

Two men who bought a National Lottery scratch card using stolen debit card details and then tried to claim the £4m jackpot they revealed have been jailed.

Jon Watson, of Bolton, and Mark Goodram went to London to beg in 2019 and bought the winning card in Clapham.

They were found out when claiming the prize, as they revealed they did not have a bank account, despite using a debit card to buy the item.

Admitting fraud at Bolton Crown Court, they were both jailed for 18 months.

The court heard the men, aged 34 and 38, travelled from Bolton to London on 22 April 2019.

A homeowner and a Florida Sheriff are part of Tonight's Feel Good Story of The Day.

“’I’m proud of our homeowner for defending himself. It’s called a ‘Castle Doctrine.’ He has the right to protect himself and his home from unknown intruders,’ said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd.” That’s not the kind of statement that’s usually issued by someone in law enforcement following a shooting, but it’s certainly refreshing.

Sheriff Judd was talking about the actions of a Lakeland area homeowner who shot Steven Stillwell after he threw a flower pot through a glass French door in the middle of the afternoon to break into the home.

I'll share a local Christmas icon. Eat-n-Park is a regional restaurant chain here in western PA and I think a few in eastern Ohio. They've been running this same Christmas commercial for about 40 years now, and for anyone who's ever lived in this area, you'll know how iconic it is. The Christmas season hasn't truly started until you've seen the Eat-n-Park Christmas commercial at least once.

I'd posted, it at a previous mention, last week, of Celtic Women, but it bears repeating the news. The Original Cast of Celtic Women has been swept off the stage, all at once, and are now replaced with newer, younger singers. As well as a mixed chorus of young men and women as backup singers, a few of whom also play this instrument, or that.

The staging still is Celtic Women, but the voices, faces and overall vibe is completely different. I won't say better or worse, but will say.. different.

107 So how much longer can this Vid garbage go on? Every couple days there's another story proving: the vax doesn't work. The vax may give you health problems. The vax may be spreading it. Boosters don't help the effectiveness. You have to think that unless you are inable of any sort of logical thought you are figuring these things out. And therefore, all the establishment authorities have been blatantly lying. What else are they lying about? I ask, what societal changes will this bring? The Opposition's power comes from them holding the controlling positions in a high trust society and their authority rests in the majority of the people trusting them. What happens in a low trust society when the majority doesn't trust them?

Ives's statement to the HUAC ended his blacklisting, allowing him to continue acting in movies, but it also led to a bitter rift between Ives and many folk singers, including Pete Seeger, who accused Ives of naming names and betraying the cause of cultural and political freedom to save his own career. Seeger publicly ridiculed Ives for attempting to distance himself from many of the far left organizations he had supported.

158 So we are quoting asshats who haven't even finished their doctoral thesis yet? How do we refer to her? Prick almost has her doctorate?

A few points about this "study":

during cold spells, wind is stronger, on average

Uh, no. The Pacific Northwest Electric Power and Conservation Planning Council, which studies these things, estimates that wind turbines operate at 5% during cold snaps.

Interconnecting larger and larger geographic regions made power supply smoother and costs lower because it upped the chances of available wind, sun and hydro power availability and reduced the need for extra wind turbines, solar panels and batteries.

Ah yes, this is the "we'll wheel wind power from North Dakota to California" argument. Two problems: first, you are talking about spending trillions of dollars on new transmission lines; and second, if you think building pipelines is hard, try building a new electrical transmission line across anything scenic or populated. Also, transmission lines fail on occasion - California got blacked out twenty-five years ago when the lines from the Northwest failed. Good luck becoming even more dependent on imports.

Manchin announced that the BBB bill is dead. It's not just "a bill"; that was the vehicle for all of their immigration legislation, all of the enviro legislation, all of their Prog Free Money legislation, all of their Woke Bullshit legislation. They made a great big bet that they could get it through if they wrapped it all up in a giant sticky ball of goo - and now it all died together.

Oh and they lost any chance of passing their fake "Voting Rights" bill too. They lost it all.

169 Believe it or not, it appears some people in the Fed Government are getting realistic about COVID, including card-carrying progressive HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra. See below from a Dec. 18 Daily Mail article. It's unlikely Stupid Joe will listen to reason, though.

"Health officials also met with Biden on Thursday to discuss Omicron, with some asking the president to shift the White Houses' message of 'freedom from the virus' to publicly discus how Americans can 'live alongside' COVID-19, CNN reported.

The health officials were advising the White House to switch optics and focus on the nation's fight against severe COVID rather than everyday infection, which has been the norm for government agencies and the media since the pandemic began.

'We're getting to the point now where ... it's about severity,' Xavier Becerra, secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services, told reporters this week. 'It's not about cases. It's about severity. I think that's where we're heading...to try to be able to tell the public that.' "

Apparently he told Biden he couldn't support the bill without wholesale changes, and Biden went public and said "we're almost there, just a few little tweaks and Manchin will agree"

that was cutting his throat with his constituents in W. Va, and Manchin went live on Fox and said "oh to hell with you, I'm done."

To recap something I wrote earlier today, Dems now have 3 options:
1) Manchin is forced to resign or dies; the Republican Gov. of West Va appoints a Republican replacement. McConnell takes over the Senate.
2) Manchin is hounded and villified by the dems, and stripped of his assignments - Manchin leaves the party becomes independent, McConnell gives him the Chair of the Energy Committee as McConnell becomes the new Majority leader, and Schumer loses everything.
3) Dems say "thank you Mr Manchin, we are sorry Mr. Manchin, whatever you want Mr Manchin" - The Prog wing gets so pissed off that they kill all legislation for rest of this term out of spite.

I don't see any other possibilities going forward. Choose the form of your Destruction, Dems.

She said, so, not in our lifetime.

She agreed.

All kinds. They get Alzheimers meds, stimulants, psychoactive drugs, whatever they need.

And who is checking up on their vaccine status?
No one.
You, on the other hand, are denied common treatments simply because they are out of patent and they can be distributed to the masses for very little money, therefore they are restricted.

232 The reason why they can't come down too hard on Manchin and Sinema is that a number of other Democrats quietly oppose BBB - it's just that it happens to be in Manchin and Sinema's local political interest to publicly oppose this.

After all, the second-biggest cost item in BBB is a huge tax cut to the ultra-wealthy in blue states - red state Democratic senators probably don't want to be seen supporting that.

274 Speaking off offshore California, the Farallon Islands, thirty miles west of San Francisco, has large numbers of endangered species of birds on the island. It also has 60,000 mice on its 120 acres, which are imperiling the birds. The mice hitchhiked in on visiting ships over a century.

Well, the solution seems obvious - poison the mice. New Zealand has done that to a number of offshore islands, and the endangered bird populations on those islands have exploded after that.

There was opposition, of course:

"The commission's approval was granted despite opposition expressed at the hearing by one of the world's most distinguished conservationists, Dr. Jane Goodall, who said the airdrop of a "super-toxic rat poison" will "inflict pain and suffering on a great many sentient animals.""

The urgency is fucking zero. Even if the world was warming at the pace you claimed (it isn't) due to the causes you claim (they don't), the impact on the planet would be more beneficial than not. You know the whole longer growing season that would help with your equally nonsensical over population panic.

But let's impose useless carbon emission standards because it's the latest thing for us to panic about. Well almost latest, since you are currently panicking over a virus that doesn't kill anyone.

Next day, in an oval office showdown, kamala and Joe draw on each other, and after each of them drops their gun a couple times and forgets to take the safety off, they both finally manage to plug each other at the same time. Hello President Greene!

Exactly. That has been my assumption from the very first number they gave about "vaccinated" Americans. That it was just like any poll results they put out. Poll results are usually revealed to convince people to think or act a certain way. "See, the majority of your fellow Americans think X, don't you want to be part of the popular crowd and think X too?!"

I fully believe they have been doing the exact same thing with the "vaccination" numbers.

I'm not afraid of the government. I'm worried about all the assholes who blindly follow the government who will make the rest of my days on this planet hell. Such as my company - and all the other companies throughout the country following suit - which affects my employment and livelihood. Not to mention airlines, which will affect my ability to travel if they enact a "vaccination" mandate, like they already have on cruise lines.

And then of course the "vaccine passport". If I understand correctly, these are already required in NYC and places in California? And no mass protests in those areas like there have been in other areas of the world. Thus, they could easily interpret that to mean that Americans are fine with mandating "vaccine passports" nationwide.

But none of that frightens me. What frightens me is the thought that Americans as a whole are no longer a people who will fight this stuff.

But state and local officials reported that it was improbable for there to be such a huge disparity in vaccination numbers, Bloomberg reports.

The state of play: Three states - Illinois, Pennsylvania and West Virginia - found enough over-counting of first shots to indicate millions of unvaccinated people had mistakenly been counted as having received a dose.

Pennsylvania had one of the biggest gaps identified, according to Bloomberg, where the CDC's estimates of first doses for people 65 and older exceeded state estimates by about 850,000.

Illinois had more than 500,000 completely unvaccinated people ages 12 and up than initially thought. But the audit also found 730,000 people who were fully vaccinated and hadn't been counted.

Only current downside is smashing my fingers seems to have introduced some nerve damage and the cold aggravates it. That and I had 3 teeth extracted in preparation for some bionicle teeth. Getting the hang of gumming my food.

462 There is a reason the democrat-fascists ginned up this phony so-called insurrection tale and won't let it die, that is to change the narrative from their theft of the 2020 presidential election.

Going forward, it will be the basis for implementing " safeguards " to prevent another coup in 2024. The achieved power through fraud. I can think of no reason why they will willingly give it up.

470 "Insurrection" is a legal term.

It allows them to arrest and detain people without charge, without benefit of counsel or any of the other constitutional rights normally held.

That's why they are calling it an "insurrection".

489 I think they haven't banned guns (yet), because they've made a calculation that seizing weapons might provoke a violent backlash from a society of morally and intellectually bankrupt sadsacks who will otherwise do as commanded in every instance, without fail. They've figured out they can strip away all liberty and dignity without resorting to that measure. Why risk it when they needn't?

496 Regarding that story about unvaccinated cops:
Watts Learning Center Charter Middle School is denying that officers were turned away --
https://www.wlccms.org/apps/news/article/1541350

The head of the school said "... Officers arrived at our campus and initiated an investigation, and determined that there was no imminent threat to students, staff, or families. The following day officers returned to patrol our campus and ensure the continued safety of our school community.
Contrary to some reports, the officers were not turned away from our school. ..."

(My italics, if the HTML tags work.) The cops arrived AT the school and were not turned away, but were they allowed ON campus? Did they "patrol" the campus on the day of the incident?

Is it paranoid of me to parse the wording of the statement? I guess it depends on what the meaning of "is" is ...

Posted by: Herp McDerp at December 20, 2021 11:47 AM (KQr0Z)

497 Nope, the HTML tags didn't work.
