109 I don't know if the lady was really that attractive but Landelle did a fantastic job with this portrait. The skin tones are reflected in the color of the cloth. The pose is a slightly provocative one that most young women would enjoy striking. Then the hint of a nipple, delicate needle work, the long, flowing tresses, and decorative items suggest a romanticized gypsy girl. It's all soft but alive.

The patron who ordered the portrait must have been very pleased.

I still remember my junior year English teacher's nipples were noticeable in some of the tops she wore and it was a running joke that students would raise their hand and ask if we could close the windows, because it was getting a bit nipply in the room. I remember her being a very sweet and demure woman and when the comments started in the beginning of the school year, she was shy and embarrassed and would blush. After a while of this continuing through the year, her demeanor changed and she reacted with anger.

I will always remember her though for being the first teacher who gave me confidence in my writing ability. Soph year teacher was a bitter old witch who did nothing but put everyone down. So I came out of that experience with zero confidence in myself. "Miss Nipply" turned that all around with encourging comments on all my writing assignments.

This order will remain in effect until the City deems that the threat of COVID-19 to public health has diminished significantly.

To put it simply, if you have been living vaccine-free, your time is up. If you wish to live life as w/the ease to do the things you love, you must be vax'd.

This health order may pose an inconvenience to the unvaccinated, and in fact it is inconvenient by design.

201 But nothing for making life tough for criminals who shoot people with guns in Chicago.

In socialist regimes - either national or international - run of the mill criminals are treated better then dissidents.

Why? The criminals aren't a threat to the regime, and in fact with their more malleable moral standards can still be used for tasks others might refuse.

Got to see They Might Be Giants in free concert in 1996 at Slayter Hill at Purdue. Outdoor amphitheater right across the street from my residence hall (Tarkington Hall!). I remember two songs, Constantinople and S-E-X-X-Y. I remember the latter as it was the first song I ever danced to in public with a girl (my girlfriend at the time). Yeah, I was 20 years old and had never danced in public before then. So that memory stays with me, as the first time I ever felt so comfortable with myself in public to forget about everything and just be in the moment with my girl. Short lived, as that feeling hasn't happened again since then.

Memories... *sigh*

Good infographic. One quibble is "Covid positive individuals", I suppose you can have kidney failure (for example) and be Covid positive, but the Covid positive may not be the cause of why you are in the hospital. Maybe this is irrelevant, but we'll never know. Another interesting data point is 24% of hospitals expecting staff shortages, what would be the cause of this, I wonder?

359 I'm waiting to see how the boys in blue in Chicago respond to the vaccine mandate.

Posted by: SH (Overturn Roe) at December 22, 2021 10:45 AM

I have not talked to my brother (Chicago police officer) in months. Last time I did though, he basically saw nothing amiss about all the COVID protocols and said he just went and got vaxxinated as told. When I told him that "vaccine passports" were coming and that was BS, he shrugged and said he didn't care since he's vaxxinated. Not sure if his attitude is shared by most among the force or not.

Considering the last few times I talked to him about this stuff, I felt like he was considering me a wackjob conspiracy nut, I'm not interested in speaking about it with him anytime soon.

I imagine it is something like from the movies Boiler Room and The Wolf of Wall Street. Boiler Room he talks about having a book filled with "rebuttals" to have ready for every excuse to not buy stock. The Wolf of Wall Street they do something similar when training the people in the beginning to start selling stock to rich people.

I imagine it's the same thing on social media. They have a book with "rebuttals" for every COVID-19 Plandemic fact that somehow gets through all the censorship. And they share it like the journolist, so everyone has the same "rebuttals" for their talking points.
