The Morning Report - 12/10/21

beardedklanjuss.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and the big story breaking late yesterday is that no-talent low-life Jussie Smollett was actually found guilty of faking a "hate crime," or in real terms being assaulted. The specifics of the charges, which though described as disorderly conduct are nevertheless federal charges, and are catalogued here at Legal Insurrection. We'll see what sort of sentence this turd receives, but I have my doubts it will amount to any more than a slap on his limp wrist. Considering this was in Chicago, with two profoundly inept, irresponsible ideologues as mayor and DA, and a jury pool that, to be charitable, is as poisoned by mal-education and indoctrination as the aforementioned and the defendant, it's kind of a miracle that the jury did the right thing.

That is, "the white thing" according to the official armed militant wing of the Democrat Party, BLM (apologies to the cast and crew of the porn film Do the White Thing for associating them with such debased criminals as BLM and Democrats). What perhaps at the outset of this incident was a means for a washed up has been to thrust himself in the limelight to get a raise or another gig was as another loathsome Chicagoan made famous, a crisis that the left could not let go to waste. And they glommed onto that like white on rice, so to speak.

Forget Smollett. He's meaningless in this (assuming that there is no evidence that local or even national Democrats and others colluded with Smollett to cook this up). Let's jump into the Wayback Machine and go back to January of 2019 (if only, right?). America under the leadership of President Donald Trump was in the ascendancy like never before. Democrats and the left were flailing and failing. Most crucially, minority voting blocs, specifically blacks and Latinos, were starting to see what Trump meant when, as a candidate, underscoring the perpetual misery that the aforementioned minorities were shackled with, said about voting for him, "what have you got to lose?" Of course, far too many still voted for the delusional muumuu-wearing dipsomaniac, but by 2019 the Trump economic miracle got more minorities working and more off the dole than ever before.

That alone made Donald Trump the greatest existential threat to the Democrats' voting base in nearly 60 years. That, gentle reader, is why LBJ foisted "The Great Society" on us and why Teddy Kennedy flooded us with waves of unvetted, unassimilated third world peasants, legal and illegal, courtesy of Hart-Celler, but I digress. Not really because the Democrat Party needs a vast underclass in order to thrive. Despite its loud and constant drumbeating about the destruction of the middle class, it is they whose policies drag people down and keep people down. Unfortunately, they are not solely culpable; corporate America, in its quest for cheap labor dismantled itself and shipped its factories overseas, mostly to China. I'll save that for another day since it gets away from the crux of the biscuit, which is racial division.

I really don't want to turn this into a disquisition so suffice it to say that despite Trump's success, the political/cultural/media narrative of America as an illegitimate, irredeemable white supremacist nation, exacerbated to gigantic proportions by none other than the guy who was supposed to be post-racial, Barack Hussein Obama, was cranked up to maximum. It had to be in order to regain power, no matter the cost in terms of tearing us apart.

In a nation of nearly 330,000,000, from the real statistics I have seen (not the SPLC, ADL or ACLU), the actual number of organized, avowed white supremacists is anywhere between 6,000 to 10,000 maximum. That of course doesn't include the FBI agents dressed in matching "Up With People" outfits in kneepads and tiki torches, or the BLM-sters and Antifarians wearing MAGA hats and given the keys to the Capitol by the DC cops.

But if America is a nation chock full of millions of violent white racists, by G-d the left is going to have some! This is also known as "Fake, but accurate." And l'affaire Juicy Galore isn't an outlier. It's happened over and over and over again.

It turns out that the only ones who believed Jussie Smollett's fake "beating" by his accomplices were Black Lives Matter because the group hates the police more than it hates lying to the American people.

Well, it turns out that Americans are getting wise to fake hate crimes. In fact, there are so few real hate crimes that people like Jussie Smollett have to make them up. Or, as a commentator Clay Travis once said of Jussie in 2019, "The demand for racist hate far exceeds the supply of any racist hate incidents. Because of this, we are seeing one racial hoax charade after another."

So few hate crimes exist that not only do Leftists have to make them up, they have to redefine what racism is (see critical race theory for an example of how they do this). All of a sudden racial profiling is back! But this time it's "good." Black Lives Matter said so. And if you don't agree, they and their Antifa fellow travelers will burn your house down.

There are so many fake hate crimes that several databases have been launched to keep track of them. The best one I've seen was recommended by PJ Media colleague Kevin Downey, Jr. . It is called, coincidentally enough, fakehatecrimes.org.

There probably are real hate crimes out there. There are racist people out there; the KKK, wherever they are, have nothing on BLM and CRT promulgators.

Bingo. And what happens if you dare defend yourself against BLM and Antifa? You get hauled off like Kyle Rittenhouse. Fake hate crimes are deadly serious. And they go hand in hand with the mass crime wave hitting America's cities. Because the fake hate crimes that get prosecuted while the real crimes that are ignored and in fact encouraged by Marxist mayors and law enforcement serve the same purpose: societal dissolution as a means to seize absolute power "for the safety of the citizenry." Anthony Fauci and a whole lot of governors and mayors have the same exact thought, but via a different approach.

Apart from Kim Foxx, the most controversial district attorney to receive aid from a Soros' operation is San Francisco's Chesa Boudin. Boudin is a big supporter of redistributive justice, which calls for behavioral changes rather than punishment. He pushed for shoplifting below 950 dollars to be treated as a misdemeanor, which set off a tidal wave of organized shoplifting. One Safeway store had to limit its hours in response and set up obstacles for exit. Walgreens closed some 22 stores for both economic and loss control reasons. Most controversial was a brutal attack on an elderly Asian man where the attacker was released on probation. Boudin's office argued that the victim agreed to the decision. But the victim, who speaks no English, said he never agreed, and various community leaders have taken to the streets to make their opposition known. Boudin is facing a recall election.

There is an alliance between prosecutors who have embraced redistributive justice and criminals who have found crime to be a revolving door. Redistributive justice, however, is part of a larger system that views criminal activity as a result of social forces and not individual decision making. It is part of a system that calls the very legitimacy of the polity into question.

Crime rates in these cities has risen. Chicago is seeing one of the highest crime rates in decades. Mayor Lightfoot is correct when she says the city is descending into chaos. But that is the plan.

For a strong, vibrant, economically sound democracy, such events are problematic but not a threat to the system. But change the equation, question the legitimacy, and such perturbations become a threat to the viability of the political system. Chaos is the name of the game.

Shorter Sefton: Divide and conquer.

Have a good weekend.

++++
It's probably greater than that, but not by much. If we use high estimates, the Klan has about 8k estimated members. The Aryan Brotherhood is much bigger, and has about 20k estimated - though the AB is almost entirely an institutional gang that is active in prisons. So with rounding that gives us about 30k avowed, affiliated white supremacists.

But white supremacy is shameful, so let's assume that the real numbers are bigger. Let's assume they're off by 2/3 and that the number of actual, avowed, real, hardcore white supremacists is closer to 90k. What does that mean? That means that the number of real white supremacists as determined by active organizational membership and then inflated several times just to be sure wouldn't fill LSU's Tiger Stadium.

White supremacists aren't a problem in the United States. White Supremacy is not an important or mainstream ideology in the United States.

Chaos and the Threat to Democracy
_________

There's an error in that. It fails to distinguish between single rulers ("monarch" in Aristotle's original sense of rule by one) and elites, which really means classes. This is common, but mistaken. The article itself uses Hitler and Napoleon III as examples. Neither was a class; both were strongmen.

In fact, it's pretty common for there to be an alliance between a strong man (whether king or dictator) and the people; such alliances between aristocrats or oligarchs and the people are much rarer. And when one of the aristocracy does make that move, his fellows tend to reject him. Ask Julius Caesar how that works. This is something we seem to have erased from consciousness of history; it was fairly common knowledge when I went to college, long ago.

Even then, IIRC, it was something history professors were more conscious of than were poli-sci types. Which may be significant.

1. Repeal the Civil Service Act.
2. Ban unions - at the federal level, at least

The professional bureaucracy permits leftist Presidents to stock the government with political actors inimical to liberty who are almost impossible to root out.

Unionization aids the professional bureaucracy in getting leftist Presidents into office.

Sadly, neither of these measures would pass even if there were no non-Republicans in office.

They clearly don't care about liability or about violating the injunction. They didn't reframe anything as a "company mandate" or anything else. They're enforcing the EO regardless of the injunctions and if you don't comply, you're fired. They don't care about the ruling.

The "must answer" part reminds me of this reply from Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

First, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement so I must do nothing. And secondly, you must be a pirate for the pirate's code to apply and you're not. And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.

I read that and think pretty much all government people would say "the Constitution is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules."

Netflix's Live-Action Cowboy Bebop is An Insult to the Original Iconic Anime Series

I started watching the Netflix-version of BC this week.

When if first started I thought, eh, this is okay, why all the hate?

But, yeah, it quickly devolved into an SJW/Woke/Teh Ghey fest when little or nothing in connection with the original CB. It's boring. It sucks. Stay away.

The funny thing is now Netflix has started running commercials for the Original Bebop Cowboy featuring some of the very few snippets of original dialogue to, I suppose, convince those unacquainted with the series that the live-action version is the same.

I really do not understand the mentality. With the recent push of all the auto companies to "electrification", they need people to design these new powertrains and vehicles. They exempted the people who build the vehicles, but are apparently fine with firing the people who are responsible for designing the vehicles? Makes absolutely no sense. Unless they really are that stupid and think everyone will just fall in line and put their health at risk for their job. Hell, let's say they do, knowing all the severe side effects, they are basically poisoning their workforce. So they'll be losing people either from termination or from deaths. Makes absolutely no sense.

A note about Eddie Robinson

Enormous publicity attended Robinson's record-breaking win with Grambling State in 1985. Some observers feared that the coach would become the target of white hatred, much as Henry Aaron had when he broke Babe Ruth's home run record. Instead Robinson reported that he did not receive a single hate letter, even from the legion of southern fans who worshiped Bear Bryant.

But let's tell ourselves we haven't progressed a step past Jim Crow.

There's an excellent book by Laurence Rees, The Holocaust which makes that point specifically in reference to the extermination of the Jews: that it is pointless to look for a "Fuhrer Order" because Hitler had no need for one. Everyone knew he hated the Jews and wanted them gone, so whomever came up with the best way to do it, whether parking them all on Madagascar or gassing them to death, was going to win Hitler's approval.

It's multi-faceted. Many companies live and die by government diktat. Few companies have no government contracts or requirements. Big companies tend to be run by vicious, ambitious people who were able to climb the demonic mill of high-effort corporate politics. HR and increasingly more parts of the C-suite is run by brutal left-wing terrorists who value compliance and conformity above any other factor.

Some do it for their personal power, some to make sure the government doesn't execute their firms, so because they don't care at all, some because they get off on it. There are many reasons, but it boils down to the absence of a moral compass or humanity among high executive ranks.

NYC on the other hand is out of control but that may change as most of our East Coast PM's are not vaccinated and we as a group have decided we are not getting vaccinated.

Our company is telling NYC clients we aren't going to be able to find PMs to work your projects and these companies are seemingly throwing in the towel on mandates, which is a good thing for us.

My company has gone so far as to say that if I miss a test or the online result reporting, they will consider it a voluntary resignation.

The fact that the vaccinated are still capable of catching covid, but are not required regular testing sets a dangerously false sense of security wherein an ill employee continues to work assuming it is not possible for them to have covid due to company policy.

The company is well aware that it is possible for the vaccinated to catch and spread covid, but has not changed its testing policy.

Therefore, the only conclusion is, the testing, online reporting, and assumed resignation policy only exists to harass and place a burden on religiously exempted employees. Direct discrimination based on religion.

276 Looked at the demographics for my county and the WuFlu statistics. 75% of the deaths are from the 12% of the population 65+ years old.
------
In 2020 the ave WhuFlu death was 82.4 or .5 for the entire state of OH. The ave age for all other deaths was just over 78.
------

That's been one of the things that has been so infuriating about this entire thing. Average age of COVID death has been higher than average age of death for males IIRC.

The other thing is that you hear "pre-existing conditions like obesity!!!" but nothing else, and most everyone is overweight. But there is data now. Are we talking "45 years old and could stand to lose 20 pounds in order to look better" or "45 years old and can't buy clothes at any retail outlet"

There's a big difference between the two, and we have been given absolutely no information. That's when I started to accept that this entire thing has been a psychological attack.

Not to mention the long-form interrogation that many companies do. You file for a religious exemption and then get back a multi-page questionnaire about how long you've been faithful, if you've ever taken a prescription drug previously and which ones, whether you've ever had a vaccination, whether you've gone through Confirmation or a Bar Mitzvah, etc.

That is a religious test by black letter definition, yet they do it anyway. They discriminate against the religious who decline their vax requirement and then many follow it up with an outright religious test for employment. Both are flatly illegal, but it's the right kind of illegal so it doesn't matter.

308 Inflation jumped to the highest level in nearly 40 years, fresh data released on Friday showed, as supply chain disruptions, rapid consumer demand and rising housing costs combined to fuel the strongest inflationary burst in a generation.

The rising costs spell trouble for officials at the Federal Reserve and the White House, who are trying to calibrate policy at a moment when the labor market has yet to completely heal from the pandemic, but the risk that price increases could become more lasting is increasing.

The Consumer Price Index climbed by 6.8 percent in the year through November, the data showed, the fastest pace since 1982. After stripping out food an fuel, which can move around a lot from month to month, inflation climbed by 4.9 percent.

Prices were up 0.8 percent from October, according to the report. That's slightly slower than the prior monthly increase, but still an unusually rapid pace.

There were some good ones who worked their way up from my position so they had a greater respect for the work I do. But the majority were clueless and figured we were replaceable.

But I have noticed over the past 5 years or so this attitude has changed and I have worked with a lot of good vehicle program executives who have recognized the work I do, both the technical side and the intangibles I bring. Unfortunately, HR is a different story.

Not too far from the truth. The Left (Godless) has always had this fascination of having a Svengali Effect on innocent people being able to manipulate people to perform atrocious acts. This is why they love raping children. If you watch movies old men, often twice the age of their screen partners are engaging in all forms of nookie. They are signaling that an expression of power is having sex with young people, the younger the better. The next kink is in killing people and being an arm's distance from it.

Being able to snap your fingers and point at someone with the expectation that the person will die a miserable death is up on the charts of expressions of power. The power over life, death and sex.

The Fauci Chimera and its accompanying mRNA is clearly a depopulation cocktail. The first to slaughter off the elderly, the latter to infuse biological time bombs in the younger to dramatically shorten life spans. You get to die in your fifties, today's children die off in a few decades from heart failure, disease, organ failure..

Yup. I have worked with several good executives and many, many bad ones. Like Clyde mentioned up there, I have noticed that the executives who work up from within the divisions they control tend to be better, though that is not a universal truth (and has its own problems, since it tends to make idiosyncratic risk more meaningful given the absence of new blood and idea. This, by the way - management of idiosyncratic risk - is the actual reasoning behind "diversity is our strength" although the people who say that never refer to it in idea terms, which is where it matters).

Prices were up 0.8 percent from October, according to the report. That's slightly slower than the prior monthly increase, but still an unusually rapid pace.

Yep, just look at the completely illogical policy of the Big3 auto companies:

(1) UAW employees exempt from everything. Voluntary reporting of "vaccine" status, no "vaccine" mandate, no weekly testing mandate
(2) All salaried employees must report status, must get "vaccinated" by Jan 5, 2022 or must submit a medical or religious exemption, after which, if approved, mandatory weekly testing.
(3) No weekly testing for "vaccinated" salaried employees, even though they are at same risk of infection and spread.
(4) Contract employees have no mandates of any kind, since most contract houses are <100 employees.

And when that first death happens, it goes from being the "dangerous Omicron variant" to being the "deadly Omicron variant" and then the conflation games begin wherein all 'Rona deaths - however defined - are undifferentiated and thus all death becomes Omicron death unless you're paying close attention.

I've read a bunch of stuff from ex-FBI folks over the last 4 years about what caused the FBI to turn into the craptastic mess it is today. Not to say there haven't always been some problems but int the last 15 years or so it went totally pear shaped.

Some of the most insightful claim it is because of the promotion policy put in place by Mueller when he was running the FBI and it is still in place today. It's how we ended up with incompetent, highly political dirtbags like McCabe and Strzok with high level positions in DC while good agents stayed in the field or left the bureau altogether.

My sister won't be around the unvaccinated if she can avoid it. She's also a bit nutz.

But my real takeaway here; they know there are severe side effects but they're trying to deal with it on the down low so they're not labeled hypocrites. Which they are.

Wait till the weakened immune systems no longer stave off cancers and other viruses that so far have been kept within reason. Also as with AIDS the covid (and the vaccine) causes the immune system to be weakened and to overproduce certain types of immune cells creating a "storm" that attacks or worsen the effect of the actual infection. It also weakens the immune cell producing areas of the body; the bones and also the spike is being found inside the nucleus of the cell where it can take part in the reproduction of the cell and the repair of any dna that has been broken. Thus part of the spike could be taken into the dna of that cell and disrupt the repair of that cell. And a cell that is disrupted and no being repaired has a name. Cancer.

Remember that Mr. Fauci was involved for years in AIDS research and how it destroyed the immune system and how the immune system worked and devolped drugs that would repair the immune system. It's only a reverse step from fixing something to know how to tear it down. And Mr. Fauci is involved with most of the parties who will profit monetarily by this infection.

I'm seeing that too. At a work meeting a few weeks ago one of my co-workers was asking about whether he'd be required to get a booster because the clot shot almost killed him.

There was a lot of "uh...um'ing" over that. No one popped up to claim he was lying...

402 I have a fix! Mandate ineffective cures. Decimate the staff through arbitrary selection. Import millions of people with exotic diseases and absolutely no intent to pay for treatment. Hobble the staff with endless regulation and paperwork. Increase the army of greedy litigants. Unleash a Chimera to maim millions of people. Cancel all treatment and health maintenance programs until a disease becomes major. Ensure that hospital ethics panels are staffed with sadistic Malthusians and anti-social misanthropes.

Posted by: Jewells45 deplorablethug#FJB at December 10, 2021 07:52 AM (nxdel)

Every defendant has the right to appeal a guilty verdict, BUT he does *not* have the right to relitigate the trial. Generally the only way to overturn a jury verdict is to come up with some shocking New Evidence that invalidates the previous ruling (very very rare for this to happen, gotta be something like an actual confession from someone else) OR a showing of an Error of Law by the Judge presiding over the case. I don't see one of those in this trial either, it was a pretty simple trial, underneath all of Jussie's BS.

414 NYC Law Giving Non-Citizens Right to Vote Violates Federal and State Constitutions

the new law is a slap in the face of those who have undergone the naturalization process because, without satisfying any requirements, it gives non-citizens electoral rights fully equal to naturalized citizens, i.e., fully equal to people vetted by federal immigration officials, who have sworn to reject their allegiance to foreign governments and powers, who have sworn to uphold the Constitution and laws of the United States, and who have sworn to defend the United States against enemies domestic and foreign.

416 >>An excellent book recommended in the book threads over the years "Barbarians to Bureaucrats" which describes how small companies can start off with visionaries, go through an administration phase and end up with aristocrats who use the business for their personal vanity projects and to underwrite their social malice.

I've been doing startups for a number of years and I've seen this firsthand. A small team of usually like minded people have an idea and work well together to bring a company to life. Everyone is valued because there isn't any room for fat, if you aren't contributing there is no place to hide.

But often these people are either incapable or seen as incapable of taking things to the next level and changes are made in senior management. People with no company history want to make their mark and that often entails bringing in not just their own ideas but their own people and suddenly it's a completely different company, often for the worse.

"Psychological inflation." If people expect prices to keep going up, they buy as much as they can sooner rather than later -- further fueling and making it a self-fulfilling prophecy.

420 There are no NB 880s Womens on the shelves at 3 large sporting/running stores. I found 2 pair of previous version online and bought both. No 1 selling magic pic frame took 2 weeks to get from Amazon.

I don't need the "womens" shoes, but when pissed off at the local shoe store for telling me that I couldn't go into the store unless I put on a face diaper, I bought several boxes of shoes at 20% lower price than the local shoe store. I still have two pairs of NB 880s brand new in boxes while I'm still wearing out the previous pairs.

I'm feeling like a genius now for buying case-lots of shoes.

"I was really hoping that we'd (all) get vaccinated and things would be back to normal," said Sefton, an assistant manager at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. "People are dying and nobody cares"< said Christiane Amanpour. But this week Michigan had more patients hospitalized for Covid-19 than ever before. Covid-19 hospitalizations jumped 88% in the past month, according to the Michigan Health & Hospital Association.

429 There is a bigger picture that the Juicy story obscures, as is the intent of all the leftist racial propaganda, that the great majority of all races are just normal Americans desiring the American dream for their children. But we do have an underclass that the left uses to justify the policies that JJS rightly notes furthers the societal dysfunction. The win/win are policies that raise the underclass and defund the left. Think vouchers, trade schools, term limited government employment etc. to give the underclass a chance to succeed.
