All you need to do is walk down the street to the CVS in Eastern Market,” he said, referring to a public market about 1 mile from the U.S. Capitol. “I’ve seen on multiple occasions when I’ve been in there buying things, someone will come in and raid a shelf and walk out.”

LaSalle is always scary but this year is really bad.

If you look at the YT comments on the local SF news affiliates, easily 1/3 of the people are blaming Walgreens in one way or another for the crime as well as closing down just to mess with the communities. Since probably 50% of the comments are people from out of state saying "WTF is wrong with you people?", I'd say that means an awful lot are buying into the evil corporation that won't pay employees, hire guards, or just let these poor people steal "essential" goods like Tide detergent or cosmetics so they can survive, because after all, you can afford it.

If they get caught. We had a guy robbing us night after night. The cops investigated. They identified him and they had a warrant for his arrest and the bosses wouldn't let the detective go and arrest him becuase overtime. He disappeared. Another guy was caught red handed, less than 950, he got a ticket. He had a meth pipe, ticket and on his way.
Another guy selling our equipment to someone that called us, we reported it, the cops refused to go and do anything, less than 950.
Another guy caught, warrant out of San Luis, they wouldn't come and get him, ticket for theft.
I am still missing a 90,000 tractor.

I've been down to the Navy Yards a few times. I walked from the Navy Yards Metro to the entrance on 11th Street. It's a pretty good hike. You can see some remnants of the 'hood but most of it is gone. Just pricey apartments, condos, townhomes. The walk was uneventful the times I've done it. Can't say what it's like at night. Probably much duller than what it used to be.

The most likely is a combo - they want the national guard away so they can "Katrina" DeSantis if a big storm hits - screw up the aid and have him holding the bag for the problems they cause.

I don't think they want a war in the Ukraine - its too good a place to send IMF loan money back to the elite by various scams and leave the people of Ukraine with the debt.

A few friends of mine were taking on jobs to stop stealing like this. They generally worked cheap and got paid in poultry, pork, beef, etc.They loved the work, were used to being beyond the wire at night and were good at it. Nice people unless you were a thief.
