Former Staffers: We Did Prepare Her For Success -- She Just Refused to Read Our Briefing Papers and Then Blamed Us When She Was Caught Unprepared by Reporters
It takes a village to fail to prepare Kumala Harris for success.
Noting that four top staffers have recently resigned, the Washington Post -- yes, the leftwing Washington Post is now Positioning Kumala Harris for an Early Exit -- writes:[T]he quartet of soon-to-be-empty desks reignited questions about why Harris churns through top-level Democratic staff, an issue that has colored her nearly 18 years in public service, including her historic but uneven first year as vice president. ... “One of the things we’ve said in our little text groups among each other is what is the common denominator through all this and it’s her,” said Gil Duran, a former Democratic strategist and aide to Harris who quit after five months working for her in 2013. In a recent column, he said she’s repeating “the same old destructive patterns.”Yes, this is what Kumala always claims the excuse is, and this is her only excuse. Well, that and her staff (and Joe Biden's staff) "failing to prepare her and position her for success." Her staffers say they did try to "prepare her," writing up briefing papers for all the most salient subjects of the day. Trouble is, Kumala is lazy and refused to read them. And then blamed them for leaving her "unprepared" when she looked incompetent and stupid in public.
“Who are the next talented people you’re going to bring in and burn through and then have (them) pretend they’re retiring for positive reasons,” he told The Post. ...
The Washington Post spoke with 18 people connected to Harris for this story, including former and current staffers, West Wing officials and other supporters and critics. Some spoke on the condition of anonymity to be more candid about a sensitive topic. The vice president’s office declined to address questions about Harris’s leadership style.

And now, as Kumala's staff flees her sinking ship, one of her remaining staffers just happens to tweet out how very awesome it is working for Kumala. And Jen Psaki says why no, I can't say whether or not that staffer was ordered to tweet that or not.
“It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work,” one former staffer said. “With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”

Mike Pence - a white man - bore no criticism during his gross mishandling of the COVID task force under the prior president, despite the stakes being higher and the outcomes being worse than anything associated with Vice President Harris.
The *only* explanation for her treatment both within the White House and at large throughout the press and the people in the country is her status as a woman of color. Black and brown bodies are always subject to greater criticism than white bodies, and it is the same for female bodies versus male bodies. Being a combination of both means Vice President Harris has a particularly hard row to hoe in our white patriarchy.

It's a skill like any other. When I write something, I often put everything into the first draft because eventually someone is going to need the full resolution document.
Then I take an ax to it. There's the engineer document (the one with everything in it), the manager document, the product manager document, the executive document, etc. They get progressively shorter and more concentrated.

Instead the early numbers showed that the GOP might take the House back, which combined with even a 50/50 Senate would have given the GOP complete control for another two years. You probably have 4G, but not LTE. There were, confusingly, three different "4G" standards. One was "HPSA+" which was a progression of the prior 3G standard. Then there was also WiMax (essentially dead on arrival) and LTE (long-term evolution).
LTE won the 4G war handily. If you don't have an LTE device and your carrier switches from traditional voice channels to "Voice over LTE" (VoLTE), then you will no longer be able to place or receive calls because the radio in your handset won't be able to negotiate anything on the LTE network. The carriers want to do this (Verizon already has in most of their network IIRC) because it allows them to carry more LTE traffic and is more efficient.
If you have a "4G" device and the carrier is insisting you don't, it's probably the HPSA+ standard rather than LTE. They don't really mean "we're phasing out 3G" what they really mean is "we're mandating LTE or 5G." HPSA+ is a weird middle ground.

Yes. They have their mutliplexing standard, and then the specific radio bands, and then the protocol and packetization method.
CDMA (channel division multiple access) is the legacy Bell multiplexing standard, with GSM usually using TDMA (time division multiple access). On top of that you have your radio bands (radio frequencies used) and then the access and packetization and channeling standards. 3G/4G/5G determines how you actually send data between your device and the network once the carrier has been established and they aren't mutually compatible and require different hardware implementations in your device. If they turn off pre-LTE functions to expand the usable bandwidth and gain efficiency, devices that don't know how to speak LTE won't be able to communicate even if they could negotiate a channel with the tower.

The lawsuit is going nowhere. The SCOTUS has been quite consistent in recent years (even before it moved right) that it's not going to do anything with regard to how districts are set, other than mandating that all the districts in the state have similar numbers of voters. (aka "One man, one vote")
Constitution says that State Legislatures decide how to redistrict. End of discussion.

What are the specs on your computer? I built my current desktop computer over five years ago and it runs Win10 easily. I even have a few VMs running on it. I'm not running the latest games on it or transcoding a bunch of video streams at the same time, but it handles everything else I throw at it.

I think 4G and 5G are on a different system than 3G, which is actually on two different systems (CDMA and GSM).
