85 The problem with that bridge is that Tom Horn never got a chance to ride his horse over it because he was hanged for doing the job he was hired for by a consortium of lily-livered ranchers to enforce the law, whom in turn, sold his ass down the river when the heat was turned up, and Monte Walsh, not the Selleck version, was let go from a perfectly good occupation because of "progress".

The more bridges change, the more they stay the same.

This familial DNA technique is sort of controversial but from the reports once they arrested him they got a direct a DNA sample and matched that up as well, so "Jupiter Joe" is going away for a long stretch.

We ding cops a lot but this case is over twenty years old and they were still working it, so kudos to The Bronx Detectives that kept digging and finally got their man.

If there is a disturbance at her urging in say, Texas as a result, can we sue her? Can we claim NH as spoils of war? In actuality, this is a perfect device to start the divorce - people who support murder can go live in those states that do and the great relocation can get started. Or Senator Shaheen those that live in pro life states that support Roe can work to change the mind of flyover rubes like myself - you know the way the Founders intended.

139 The vision of white supremacism is steeped in all elements of cultural history. People often ask why things from white history need to be phased out in favor of increased diversity and equity, and this is it. Look at this paining.

The bridge is elevated, in a superior position to the surrounding environment. The stream it crosses is placid and subdued, subordinate and subservient. The image of the bridge is reflected in the surface of the water, making the subtle supremacist dog-whistle clear: whiteness is above the other, all else is the other, and the expectation of the other is to create a distorted reflection of whiteness. The water - the other - must abase itself before whiteness and adopt white conventions because of its subordinate position. Yet despite the forced adoption of whiteness, the water - the other - is still not accepted. It is still below the whiteness, still oppressed, still bypassed, still colonized.

This painting is extremely problematic, as it embodies the supremacism inherent in white systems of power

DoJ discovered transsexual discrimination by the bridge location selection team fifty years ago.

Original projected cost was $50 Million. Final cost was $150 Million. The final cost includes: Environmental impact studies, bridge re-design and purchase of a different site when those studies showed rare tadpoles would be harmed at the original location, environmental impact studies for the new location and the re-designed bridge, union-produced and -transported bridge materials, union labor to build the bridge, more union-involved materials and labor to remedy severe material and workmanship defects, more environmental impact studies to account for the incorrect paint used by the contractor in order to save money, and the bridge ribbon-cutting ceremony with champagne and caviar for the 50,000 guests invited by the Gender-fluid Governor.

273 My most common nightmares are being naked or at least mostly unclothed. They are profoundly stupid dreams. So I'm at work and I notice I forgot to dress that day and came to work naked. But nobody seems to have noticed so I try to scoot up really close to my desk. Then someone comes by and I put my hands over my junk and they don't notice I'm naked. So I think, ok so far no problem, I'll just walk out to my car at lunch and then go home and put on clothes. But the whole time I'm so embarrassed. I get those all the time. So stupid.

Then I get a lot of flying dreams but my engineering brain puts all these stupid requirements into how I have to jump up and flap my arms a lot, get good forward speed and generate lift, its actually pretty hard to dream-fly.

She was buying the "morning after pill." The level of dissonance is astounding. She's clearly terrified of COVID despite her likely low risk factors for it, but thinks nothing of engaging in sexual activity that is likely high-risk. They should put her on a poster for Current Year.

Yes but no one on the left uses logic on this topic. In an hour every Big Media person will say neither brain dead persons nor a fetus can feel conscious external stimulus - pain - even though the body reacts to a stimulus. So there's no way the fetus can feel badly while being sliced and diced! No pain, no harm!

(Also, a bonus! An argument for state-approved/mandated euthanasia!)

461 The most stringent voices for abortion are often-not surprisingly-women who have no kids. We have some awful bill that's being considered in N.J. in support of late stage abortions and that"Anyone should be able to come to NJ to get a FREE abortion" including women being sex trafficked (It doesn't say that but explicitly that's part of its import). It's major sponsors are women and some man without children.

Not something I wish to ponder.

However, when you've had a child growing inside you, you know it's not just a clump of cells. IIRC, at our first sonogram at 17 weeks, my kid was grabbing at his foot. Later in the pregnancy he would also move his head when I rested my hand on my belly so that it was directly beneath my hand. That's not random reflexive action. Having a baby changes your perspective on abortion. Or it should, if you're not a ghoul.

Absolutely a good thing. We have precedent because we descend from Common Law, but unlike pure Common Law, we also have a Constitution to act as the final boundary. Precedent is meaningless if it defies the Constitution - and the "right to privacy" they found for Roe either isn't there, or isn't respected (in what other realm does that right exist? Certainly not in banking, or on the internet, or in phones, or whatever else). In either case, they either need to expand that "right to privacy" universally, or do away with Roe because that right isn't there.
