The Morning Rant: Minimalist Edition

punk-monkey.jpg

Yeah, yeah...I often rant and rave about the destruction of language and its co-option by the left for purposes of political power. How they use language is insidious and chilling, because their goal is the destruction of Judaeo-Christian social morality and ethics. Look no further than the blurring of the formerly clear lines between Man and Woman, or homosexuality and heterosexuality for evidence of their careful generations-long program of crushing traditional roles and replacing them with the fever dreams of a vanishingly small number of deeply disturbed people who carefully reject reality for their psychotic images of sex.

But the writer of this fine piece thinks that the most corrosive aspects of this manipulation of the greatest language in history are reserved for matters of race.

Culture Wars and the Degradation of Language

No front in the culture wars, however, comes close to the linguistic degradation inherent in our racialist discourse and practice. The word “race” for centuries meant “tribe,” “nation,” or “people,” groups that shared a common ancestry, language, and culture, the real attributes that create a particular collective identity. In the late 18th century, “race” started being used to describe, as the Oxford English Dictionary says, “One of the great divisions of mankind having certain physical peculiarities in common,” the most prevalent divisions being “white,” “black,” and “Asian.” The shift from the cultural to the physical is the core of genuine racism.
I might quibble with which is worst, but his points are undeniable. That we have moved away from cultural evaluations of the individual and are content to return to antebellum concepts of the inferior negro race is bad enough, but his finer point that Man is being reduced to the physical meshes perfectly with socialist concepts of humanity, or rather the lack thereof.

The glory of the West -- both its philosophy of individuality and its embracing of freedom and liberty -- can and will be destroyed on the socialist altar of the rejection of the individual and its concomitant assumption that humanity is merely mutable social constructs. That's why they require race and class to overwhelm the individual...so they can manipulate those social constructs at will.

Vile? Yes. And even as they succeeded in the Soviet Union they were sowing the seeds of their own destruction, because there is in Man an inherent desire to be unique, and by tamping that down it showed what the slaves behind the Iron Curtain were missing. Whether that will occur in communist China remains to be seen, but we can always hope!

Addendum:

All of this stuff in our current era is descended from the Postmodern philosophy and it has all coalesced around the destruction of the individual.

*You* do not exist. You are nothing. There is no such thing as you. You, insofar as your particular sack of meat must be acknowledged, is merely an embodiment and extension of your group. The idea of *you* is physical. The mental you - your mind, your morality, your soul, your person - isn't real at all. You are merely a result of your social conditioning according to group markers and the privileges or oppression injected into you by them.

It's quite dreadful and truly dehumanizing. You see this non-person structure in their own writings, particularly around skin color. This "black and brown bodies" crap and all similar constructions are precisely this. You are not a person. You are a merely a physical meat bag and all other attributions come by way of your group. It's monstrous.

The past perceptions of "colorblindness" were well-intentioned but ultimately wrong as well as a humiliating expression of the inadvertent wielding of dominant-group oppressive power. The concept of "colorblindness" strips essential elements of identity from oppressed groups. By refusing to acknowledge the distinction of the black or brown body, you also refuse to acknowledge their identities.

Colorblindness as a concept is deeply problematic. Race must be acknowledged and differences celebrated and emphasized to ensure that a healthy, whole-person identity can be built. Like how the "melting pot" concept of alien cultural degradation under the deliberate influence of cultural colonization on immigrant communities has given way to the "salad bowl" concept of distinct groups living together in harmony, "colorblindness" must yield to an identity-affirming acknowledgement and celebration of color.

50 Greetings:

My current thinking goes something like this.

When we discuss "race" we are primarily talking about biological characteristics, skin color, hair type, lip thickness, nose width, etc. That fixation leaves unaddressed the fact that human beings are not just biological, they are also sociological.

Until that second aspect of human existence is brought into the discussion it'll continue to be happy daze on the "race" carousel.

I would also like to recommend Christopher Caldwell's "The Age of Entitlement" which explains how the Civil Rights Constitution which began in the '60s has basically supplanted our original Constitution.

Some people will conform. Some will "go along to get along". Some will be silent in their dissent.

Misbehaving can be punished with the loss of your income, job, material goods.

Our Founders pledged their Lives, Fortunes and Sacred Honor to win independence for the nascent 13 colonies that were the beginning of the United States of America. A long time ago, while I was driving across country on the 4th of July weekend, the late Paul Harvey did an extended commentary on that. A lot of the Founders DID lose everything they had, including their lives. George Washington was particularly lucky that he was not captured or lose to the British, because he had been a British Officer in the previous frontier war with the French and Indians. He would have been hung.
I would be hard pressed to find people today that would make such a committment as their lives, fortune and sacred honor, if they had such a thing.

There's a theory that the nascent Homo sapiens was down to a relative handful of individuals because of the savage predation by another tool-using race of hominids, "wolves with knives," who not only killed the early humans but ate them as well. 79 And even as they succeeded in the Soviet Union they were sowing the seeds of their own destruction, because there is in Man an inherent desire to be unique, and by tamping that down it showed what the slaves behind the Iron Curtain were missing.

And even sans that desire, it cannot be otherwise (until, I suppose, cloning and state-indocrination prison camps become the norm).

Why the humans let such creatures live if they had any Neanderthal traits at all, when they were engaging in a total war of extermination on anything that had those traits, is not really explained. But the theory does cover a lot of bases (why we so often depict monsters as having huge eyes like the night-hunting Neanderthals, why we fear the night, and so forth).

I don't understand something here. There were 18 people assigned as jurors that watched this trial, and they were reduced down to 12 who decide, with six alternates. If there are supposedly two people who are afraid of the repercussions of their verdict and are holding out because of it, why don't they just step aside and let two other jurors take their place?

I bet it's interesting to hear the upper echelons of Asian interest groups. Loyal Democrats almost all of them, they felt like it was their moment to shine earlier this year when the Democratic machine decided to defend them against racist attacks. They probably knew at the time that it was mostly black people doing the attacks, but they were happy to imply that it was white people because they're loyal partisans.

And yet...the messaging just disappeared all of a sudden when literally every story of anti-Asian violence had a black perp involved.

"We finally got the party to highlight one of our big issues! And they dropped it once it became inconvenient for them! Now, how much should we volunteer our time and money to help elect more Democrats?"

You would need to go somewhere like Boston or Delaware (still) to see the racism they think existed in the South in the '80s.

161 I don't understand something here. There were 18 people assigned as jurors that watched this trial, and they were reduced down to 12 who decide, with six alternates. If there are supposedly two people who are afraid of the repercussions of their verdict and are holding out because of it, why don't they just step aside and let two other jurors take their place? Posted by: Darrell Harris at November 18, 2021 11:26 AM (ijxcW)

I don't know about Wisconsin, but in Texas the alternates can't deliberate. When the case is given to the jury, the alternates are released. They're just there in case something happens to one of the jurors during the trial.

167 AmericanKestrel is right. I keep a paper copy around for me just to make sure I'm not forgetting from constant gaslighting measures.

Just to make/extend a fine point on the language, the term VACCINE was ALWAYS implied to yield immunity (hard immunity, like you don't catch something). Then they shifted the goal posts, and used language like "Breakthrough" to define someone VACCINATED catching it. See where this is going. Anyone who actually read the EUA app for the juice knew full well it was leaky - they SAID SO! All of the obfuscation of language was to imply it wasn't. They should have called it a "SHOT" like they do with the Flu, because it's about the same (initally).

It WILL become a pandemic of the VAXXED because the virus will adapt around it, and they (the VAXXED) will keep getting it, and getting it, and getting it due to ADE and original antigenic sin.

Make a note - When that happens, watch the language shift again!!

If you don't vote Democrat, "You ain't black". Biden said.

And if you vote MAGA, you're a white supremacist (even if you are Asian or black).

So there are rules (per The Narrative) for each race, whites being born racist, "it's in our genes" Obama said. So whites get approval (from Narrative police) by admitting to white guilt, but blacks (and "white Hispanics") must also be submissive to The Narrative (of racist "equity") ... or they are excommunicated from their "tribe" and are open to racist mockery.

Right, which is a serious problem because it doesn't work. White oppresses black, but man oppresses woman so who is higher? Black man or white woman? What about the other groups? How do you reconcile it?

The answer to this - so far - is "intersectionality" and group complex positioning, but the number of groups is essentially undefined and the combinations grow geometrically. The concept is courting combinatoric collapse as it is, and it has nothing like the needed resolution. Taken to its logical conclusion, it gets you back to the individual, but then you have a massive ranking problem. How do you calculate position based on that many parameters when they also change almost arbitrarily? You can't. Intersectionality is doomed to failure.

The exponential collapse problem is also present in rational systems like the one we used to have. We solved it heuristically: with a market.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 18, 2021 11:36 AM (DU+/6)

202 I didn't know that "race" once just meant people with different language and practices. I always found it frustrating when people would frame criticism of a religion or culture as racism because those things aren't race. And of course criticism of fatherless inner city urban culture gets called racism, too.

It does seem that things "got worse" with the push toward multi-culturalism, which insists that all cultures are equal, when they obviously are not. It goes beyond just saying that we're the best and anyone with weird ideas is bad to insisting that no weird ideas are bad, except our own because we suck.

And of course currently we're in a situation where "white culture" magically only benefits Caucasians, while People of Color are somehow genetically unable to benefit from capitalist "systems" or merit based "systems" and are magically, genetically, suited to some weird non-existent communist state of nature. Or some shit.

Maybe I should read the article.

1. The state is the parent.
2. They want to know how to rank the student body and learn who to pursue for underaged sex (either to reduce risk by going after someone more experienced, or to disregard risk because they wish to be first to corrupt innocence).

At some point, if holdouts will not relent, the Judge has to call an end to it. Then it's up to the Judge to choose what happens next. He can send it to a new trial, or he can end it all right there.

224 The answer to this - so far - is "intersectionality" and group complex positioning, but the number of groups is essentially undefined and the combinations grow geometrically

The hilarious thing is that its self-destructive. If you keep adding in more and more categories and intersectionality, eventually everyone ends up a distinct, unique individual. Like Emo Phillips' hilarious Baptists meeting up bit, if you define people by more and more categories, you inevitably end up making each person individual.

I don't think Trump was weak at all. I think sometimes people forget what he was up against. Not just an entrenched bureaucracy that was trying to stop him at every turn, not just his own party stabbing him in the back, not just a fake Russia hoax that consumed the first 2 years of his presidency and a Ukraine hoax next, not just a dishonest media lying about him and attacking him non-stop for 4 years, not just civil service laws that made it impossible to get rid of even corrupt bureaucrats but also an entire year lost to a leaked virus that shut down most of the country.

Trump's greatest strength the first time around was also his greatest weakness. He knew about the swamp but he didn't know how deep and vast it was. Now he does.

Playing fast and loose with words and meanings is a dangerous thing. It may sometimes seem harmless, but it's capable of destroying entire social structures that depend on those definitions. The activist sees this as a feature rather than a problem, but only because they are so far up their own ass getting high off their own supply of fart gas that they cannot grasp the longterm consequences. They've assumed that civilization is the rule, not the exception.

When you destroy the social contract, everything goes back to "might makes right" by default.

274 It's NOT a "vaccine" in the conventional sense.

*****

Not to be contentious, but I keep seeing people making this assertion as if it proves a point.

Stedman's Medical Dictionary describes the evolution of the word "vaccine":
"...the usage has extended the meaning to include essentially any preparation intended for active immunological prophylaxis." Sure, vaccine in its original usage meant "from the cow" for the association of using cowpox to innoculate against smallpox. Even though the mRNA technology does not use live attenuated, killed or partial virus, it does use a manufactured copy of a viral particle (in the case of Pfizer, the SARS-2 spike protein) that is intended for active immunologic prophylaxis.

Can someone explain for me the line of reasoning used in saying "it isn't a vaccine" and how that is relevant?

I can understand questioning the efficacy, long and short term safety and even the morality of the mRNA technology, but I don't see how claiming "It isn't a vaccine" addresses those questions.

Next step is figuring out what to do about it. One man alone cannot fix what ails this country. Trump tried between 2017 and 2020. But he was undermined and betrayed by every institution in the country - including a lot of people who previously claimed to be "conservatives" - his entire time in office. As things degenerate, the most fragile areas in the country are the inner cities. I have long predicted that they would become de facto controlled by gangs/militias that coexist with the public order to maintain security for their people, while occasionally engaging in battles with other groups. The easiest way to identify who belongs to which group is by appearance. Think Belfast or Beirut. That's coming.

There's a conventional understanding of the meaning of the word relating to the use of the dead virus. This is what people commonly understand vaccine to mean.

The point being made is this is a new medical treatment as far as the general public is concerned. Referring to both as vaccine obscures this.

Can someone explain for me the line of reasoning used in saying "it isn't a vaccine" and how that is relevant?

Vaccines give you immunity to the disease, by training your body to attack it when introduced to your body.

This shot does nothing whatsoever of the sort. It doesn't protect you at all from the virus. It modifies your body so that it doesn't react so strongly to the virus. See, what kills people with the Wuhan Flu isn't the virus so much as your body freaking out trying to kill the virus and going out of control, causing various godawful symptoms that kill you.

In theory, this shot reduces that overreaction, making it not as deadly. It is not a vaccine, and redefining vaccine to include this is not about words, clarity, or language, but politics.

The common layman understanding of a vaccine has always been that it provides immunity to a virus/disease. And that was the actual CDC definition... until they changed it 09/01/21.

https://bit.ly/3ng7xvr

The SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 "vaccines" never provided immunity to SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19. Thus they were never vaccines... until the definition was changed. Yet the claim from Day 1 from the entire "healthcare" industry is that these were vaccines that everyone assumed meant that they would provide immunity.

It's great to be a warrior, but wars are not won alone. One needs an army. And one needs to be able to trust one's army to not frag him.

Which is why nobody in the country has been more active in pushing America First men and women to run for Congress. He's been building an army. There will be even more of them after 2022 and 2024.

This isn't a situation we got into in just a couple administrations. This decline has been going on for decades and it's going to take some time to get fixed. Not enough to have the knowledge of what needs to be done and the will to do it. You have to have the power to do it and enough people on your side to enact it.

Remember Trump tried to get us out of Afghanistan and the military generals outright disregarded his orders and lied to his face about what was going on.

Every institution in this nation is controlled by the left. One person is not going to come in and just say "this is going to happen" and everyone is going to snap to and follow his orders, no matter who it is. 352 Next step is figuring out what to do about it. One man alone cannot fix what ails this country.

That's the key here. This dream of electing the Right Man who Fixes It All is ludicrous fantasy wishcasting. Its not possible for several reasons, the main one being we didn't get here in a vacuum.

In a Democracy you get a government that reflects the culture at large. They aren't imposed on us by some outside force, we choose them because they are like us and what we as a collective voting group desire them to be.

The only way to fix this is to fix the culture. Change that, you change the leadership. In a nation fixated on self, comfort, pleasure, happiness, and temporary things, you get leadership that is the same way. It is inevitable, it is inescapable.

There is no scenario by which we elect a leader who like a movie fixes everything in a few hours and we all cheer and wave flags.

Simple shorthand for saying it does not work as advertised.

Posted by: SH (Overturn Roe)

Simple. It is not a vaccine. It does not stop you from getting Covid, it mitigates how badly it affects you through Gene Therapy. Classic Vaccines taught your body how to fight the virus, giving you long term protection.

These shots, do not, which is why they are now trying to force boosters.

They redefined terms, literally changing the definition on the FDA website, because this is NOT a classic vaccine, but they wanted people's overall TRUST in vaccines, to carry over to this new and untested technology.

362 But, look at what didn't happen in the public eye. Ryan was able to quash a lot of the major Trump agenda items in the House - see budget/border wall for reference. But of the items that did make it through? 75% were killed in committee in the Senate. Never even got to the floor. And the denials of confirmation and recess appointments. And on and on.

That *is* the GOP in its most perfect form. They are the defensive squad for Team Uniparty.

At the very least, if the GOPe ends up regaining the Speakership after ED2022, a very public post-mortem of the Ryan Speakership needs to be communicated to the base. We need to at least hear what they think the problem was, and a verbal commitment to change their ways. I love what Trump did, and the Abraham Accords are still playing out in ways that Democrats hate, but he had major immovable problems. Read the Patrick Byrne book. Giuliani spent all of November and December of 2020 getting drunk at 11 AM (which the HQ can applaud) and telling Trump to ignore all of the people claiming the election was stolen because CNN wouldn't like it. Even when Trump was directly told that Rudy was GOPe-ing him to death, Trump would initially act concerned and then say he couldn't be disloyal to Rudy. That's his Achilles heel.

In what universe is that a shock to anyone who's been paying attention to the last 10 months?

The prosecution's case will improve. It can't get any worse. They put on a witness that accused them of witness tampering. Another witness basically exonerated the defendant by admitting he pointed a gun at the defendant before the defendant shot him. They can add the black guy who was shot at to add a racial angle. There are a lot of ways they can improve their case. Never give the state a second bite at the apple.

Thanks for the link Clyde. From the link: "Vaccine: A product that stimulates a person's immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease"

The mistake that I see the CDC making here is also being made on the conservative side of the argument, that is to say the notion that immunity is an all or none state. I challenge anybody to show me a vaccine (traditional or otherwise) that is 100% effective. They don't now and never have existed. All immunity is relative.

So when the CDC says "a product to stimulate a person's immune system to produce immunity to a specific disease" that is actually a valid definition. If people interpret that to mean getting the vaccine means you will never get the disease, they are misinterpreting the word immunity. So like I say, I choose to focus on questions of the efficacy and safety and robustness of the immune response rather than quibbling over the definition.

422 "...the usage has extended the meaning to include essentially any preparation intended for active immunological prophylaxis."

So Vitamin C is a vaccine?

Not by the definition I cited. You may be missing the concept of "active immunologic prophylaxis", which means the immune system is stimulated to create a specific antibody and T-cell response to the targeted microorganism.
