The Morning Report - 11/12/21

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and what was supposed to be a show trial and public execution of Kyle Rittenhouse has turned into a complete fiasco for those baying for his blood, especially the current political party controlling the government. From the very first moment the video footage of the incident was released, coupled with multiple eyewitness accounts, it was crystal clear that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense. Although it has taken months, the actions of Derek Chauvin that led to the death of George Floyd as well as that of the J-6 political prisoners also show that their fates are wholly unjustified as well. And yet, here we are. And there they are, rotting in jail. Despite the overwhelming preponderance of evidence, Kyle Rittenhouse can thank his lucky stars for one huge stroke of luck: the rabid murderous savages who were inches from slaughtering him were white. We'll see if the intimidation which has got to be a hell of a lot more than what has been revealed so far does indeed influence the jury. But I digress.

With the persecution/prosecution morphing from Roland Freisler to Ronald McDonald in front of the whole world, the lily-white trash star witnesses have now been magically morphed by the propagandists into "white-blacks." Kind of like a reverse George Zimmermann. Suddenly Kenosha, Chicago and a few dozen more blue shit-hole cities are all set to have their ashes doused with gasoline and set alight yet again because White-Black Lives Matter! Mostly peacefully, of course.

If you have dipped your toe into the sewer that is social media (as I have for a very brief moment yesterday) and if you still have any friends or acquaintances who identify wholly or in part as having a leftward bent, you will no doubt be shattered at the absolute cognitive dissonance as to what is happening. They are completely divorced from reality to such an extent, it truly is terrifying. They truly believe that Kenosha burning over a criminal Jacob Blake, like dozens of other cities over the criminal George Floyd, was both justified and mostly peaceful, while Kyle Rittenhouse gunned down three peaceful civil rights activists in cold blood because he's a white supremacist. True believer; it sounds vaguely familiar.

I posted a video in the sidebar of a man, Dr. Bernd Wollschlaeger, who tells an absolutely riveting tale of growing up the son of a Nazi officer, considered a "hero" by all who knew him and how the truth of what his father really was changed him forever. I cannot recommend watching it enough. So many people are amazed at how a nation and people like Germany could have over a period of only a few decades gone completely insane and slaughtered millions over Crackpot Race Theories (hint-hint). Germany and the world in general had been infected with the plague of anti-Semitism for two thousand years, so perhaps the leap from boycotting Jewish shops to the mass graves of the Einsatzgruppen and the gas chamber at Treblinka might not seem so farfetched.

But look at what has happened here in the space of two decades. Even though the poisonous seeds planted only go back a few generations, the damage being inflicted and the potential for absolute catastrophe are plain to see. Unless of course one chooses not to see it or is in fact already a pod-person "fighting racism and fascism" by actually being the very thing they claim to be fighting.

Stacey Lennox over at PJ Media has an interesting article on the radicalism of the progressives vis a vis the actual political/cultural tilt of America still being overwhelmingly conservative.

In the current moment, a small number of white, college-educated progressives who strongly believe that America is no great shakes are co-opting the country. Professor-in-exile Bret Weinstein warned that the far left authoritarian ideology would spill out of the college campuses in 2018. After the riots during the summer of 2020, it happened at breakneck speed. Now, the loudest progressive voices that are willing to whip up action in the streets and want to reform our institutions completely have an outsized influence on the Biden [junta].
Yet, 94% of Americans disagree. A recent Harvard Harris poll confirms that the ideas and policies advocated by progressives are not popular with a large majority of Americans. Remember that the next time you see something about a mob coming for someone who offended the progressive orthodoxy. Or when your child comes home with racialized content that assigns characteristics to children based on the color of their skin. Often it only takes one or two people to stand against the mob before others rise up. Be the one who takes a stand.

Her justified invocation at the end excepted, the premise of this article misses a rather salient point. Election rigging notwithstanding, the mainstream of the Democrat Party and the GOP have always wanted an ever expanding, centralized government ever since FDR. They just "wrapped fascism in the American Flag and called it patriotism" as Huey Long is cited as saying.  

Because of all the cultural rot over the past 60 or more years, as the old guard passes away, the youth have no compunction to even a fig leaf of being pro-American. In fact, a central tenet and policy pillar IS being openly anti-American. You make a big mistake in thinking that Biden (if/when he has a lucid moment) is any sort of "moderate" at all, when you look at him in the context of history. And now that everything they are doing - intentionally or unexpectedly - is shattering in a massive, flaming heap in front of their and our eyes, there can only be one response: double down over and over and over again while blaming all of us for our stupidity, recalcitrance and intransigence in not gleefully and willingly sticking our head in the noose and begging for more.

With that, I'll conclude with something that made my vocal cords raw from alternately laughing and shrieking at the monitor:

On Thursday's broadcast of the Fox Business Network's "Cavuto: Coast to Coast," Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) called for "aggressive action" on gas prices and responded to claims that inflation is transitory by asking, "What does transitory mean? Is it six months? Is it a year? Is it two years? Of course we've got to act."
Khanna stated, "I'm of the camp that we've got to take aggressive action. I think he ought to tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve. I think we ought to tell OPEC that we need the supply now. . . I think we ought to look for other energy sources and we ought to be investing heavily in renewable energy and electric vehicles so we reduce the demand. And then, ultimately, we have to look at what we can do on the price of things, the price of milk, look at the tools that the Ag Department may have to be able to engage in some form of relief. The ag secretary has a number of tools. But I understand it's an issue. I'm back home. I'm hearing it from my constituents that prices have gone up and we can't just wish this away. I mean, people say, well, it's transitory. What does transitory mean? Is it six months? Is it a year? Is it two years? Of course we've got to act."

RUFKM???? It. Is. To. Laugh. Ro Khanna isn't a "progressive" (most abused/misused word evah). He's a freaking Maoist. After the drooling, shitting, rotten kohlrabi was installed to run the show that they stole the election for, and is doing (for the most part) everything they've ever had a hard on for, yet falling all to pieces, Khanna is now imploring them to "do something!" Of course, by something he means more taxes, regulations and punishment for the capitalists and not of course, doing the exact opposite of what his, Khanna's worldview, dictates. Deregulate everything to the barest of minimums, lower taxes, institute tariffs especially on China, stop spending, pay off the debt, drill for every last drop of oil, coal and gas right here and right now -- in short, do the exact opposite of everything you believe in, Mr. Khanna. Change your spots. For the children!!!!

Cognitive dissonance isn't just a river in Egypt, my friends. Meanwhile, Poland and Russia might be going to war and we have a new hostage crisis in Yemen.

The NYT defense assist is the least of it. The state got or took privileged communications between a lawyer and his client, and then used it to attack an enemy of the state who committed no actual crime.

That's far worse than some corrupt assistance to a propaganda affiliate. That is the public death of the system. It's in a way worse than when they did a similar thing to Trump. I think the judge may have been influenced by the hysterical media coverage, which has been portraying him as unfairly biased in favor of the defense. Whatever, there is no good excuse for his decision to let the enhanced photos come into evidence. They're crap, but they're crap that could end up getting Kyle convicted of murder.

I doubt it's quite that bad yet in the actual riot scenarios. The FBI inserts and affiliates are likely to be in command ranks rather than people doing most of the burning. But it doesn't matter. It will inevitably happen. Then the cognitive dissonance will sweep through the press and it will be interesting to watch how they justify extreme punishment and retribution because an undercover fed agent got dead for helping promote rioting and lawlessness.

I think the reason that so many people are unwilling to be the one who takes a stand is that they are not certain if (1) others will join them (strength in numbers) and (2) the media/social media/government will not crush them for doing so.

I have a friend who went to DC on 01/06/20 simply to join with other patriots in peaceful protest and to be around others of like mind. She and her family were nowhere near the capitol building and had no idea what happened there until after they travelled home later that day. Yet, she said she had the FBI show up at her home weeks later to question her about why she was there that day.

I read something the other day that says you only really build up permanent immunity the first time you're exposed to a certain type of virus.

So after the first flu you get as a kid, you have really strong lifetime immunity to that strain of flu. When you encounter another strain later, you don't get the same long-term immunity, because your body thinks it already knows how to deal with that general type of virus and doesn't bother to create the necessary immune-system "memory" of the new strain.

(Or something along those lines.)

The men he killed in cold blood were present to render aid (medical and security) to demonstrators who were marching in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, which is a foundational antiracist group. The victims of Rittenhouse's shooting spree were there to assist and promote the antiracist equity agenda. What matters is the the motivation for each party being in Kenosha that night.

The people who died were there to support BLM, promote equity, damage the white supremacist cause and encourage racial justice. Anyone opposed to them were therefore in opposition to BLM, sought to discourage racial equity, promote the the white supremacist cause and therefore discourage racial justice. Rittenhouse, due to his opposition to direct action in favor of equitable progress, is by definition a white supremacist. The race of the victims he murdered is irrelevant.

There was some version of Covid in the year 2002. People who contracted it were called in for testing and they still had antibodies 17 years later.

I would argue that even the "Joe the Plumber" case - which was an appalling violation of rights by the government - was not as bad in terms of general perception because of the perception of backstops. As the agencies that do this and get caught doing this scale up, those backstops vanish. People might think, "the local cops did this, but the state will keep them in line" or "the state might have done this, but the feds will keep them in line" or even "the feds might have done this, but the electorate will keep them in line."

It is now different. Now there aren't any backstops, even if they were ever only real in perception.

I've seen the current outbreak in medical literature referred to as Covid-2/Covid-19.
Which seems to indicate the '2' meaning the year 2002, and the '19' meaning the year 2019. To my underedumacated brain that indicates they are the same. But something happened in the intervening 17 years until it reappeared in Wuhan, China and became exceptionally virulent.

Yeah, it's because the disease and its cause are two different things and they are often used (wrongly) interchangeably. SARS is the name of the virus (in part), which is derived from its effects. COVID is the name of the disease (in part), which is derived from its cause.

The Virus in this case is "Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2," or "SARS-CoV-2" - or the SARS Coronavirus Mk II. Original SARS is just "SARS-CoV." It was previous known as "2019 Novel Coronavirus" or "2019-nCov ."

The disease it causes - COVID-19 - has a different name derivation. It means "CoronaVIrus Disease 2019." The condition/disease is derived from the "2019-nCov" virus name, as that initial name was used before more was known.

I think for a lot of people, it is a case of people not having things sink in. People not taking things to heart and truly realizing what these incidents mean. A case of "it's happening to that person, it will never happen to me". Or a case of "well, it was justified to do that thing to that person, but that would never be done to someone who did not deserve it".

I have had this feeling reading conservative blogs over the past 20 months. First with what has been done with COVID policies here and across the world, next with social media censorship and bannings and finally with the stolen election. The feeling that people are not really taking any of this stuff seriously. That they're just writing articles or posts or Tweets for information purposes, but with no urgency that this is actually a dire situation we must address. As if people cannot believe this is real or they're all waiting for someone else to fix the situation as we were all accustomed to happening prior to March 13, 2020.

Yup. While not entirely true, Trump's platform could reasonably be considered a late 70s Democrat platform. There are some major differences (especially around social issues like abortion and immigration) and some major economic differences like deregulation and labor union supremacy. On balance, though, his platform reflects the Democrats of 40 or so years ago. He isn't a free trade absolutist and he unabashedly pursues American labor preference.

If the assessment about efficacy - that it reduces severity for about 4-6 months - is correct, then it probably *improves* transmission. If you get the shots and they help prevent you from becoming symptomatic or they reduce symptoms to a very low level, but the shots do not prevent you from spreading the virus (the vaccine does not sterilize), then it will have negative transmission effects. If you're not sick, you won't change your behavior. Sick people stay home. Healthy people don't. If you have a high viral load but are not sick, you have just become the asymptomatic carrier that they feared so much back at the beginning (though those fears turned out to be largely unwarranted).

And they're manufacturing them at mass scale.

Looking at the data it would appear the clot shot is the most dangerous vaccine we've had since the implementation of VAERS.

But it is hard to get an absolute risk - VAERS data doesn't all directly mean every death/hospitalization really is due to the clot shot...but only 1 to 10 percent of injuries actually get reported.

But...that is just short term data. The initial human tests were intentionally spoiled...so while we are coming up on 2 years of usage, we can't even give a real analysis of the 2 year prognosis of the shot...what about 5, 10, 20 years?

Yep, they've already started using this as precedent to move to enacting their "climate change" policies. More policies than all the ones they already have in place (ridiculous and unrealistic fuel economy and greenhouse gas emission targets, banning of oil drilling, shutting down oil pipelines, etc.). I think they've lost control. There have been plans around changing the reserve currency, plans for the diminution of sovereignty in favor of unaccountable globalist control structures, pro and anti China lobbies, etc. None of that is untrue, but I doubt that the monetary and general global economic event that is unfolding now was deliberately caused. I think they lost control and fucked up catastrophically.

The official rate is 6.8%. Whether that reflects your reality or not is less relevant than the official rate as a tracking device over time. Even if it's wrong, so long as it is *consistently* wrong, it is still a useful tool. It has been consistent for about 30 years now since the last huge reset. And on its own terms - reflective or not - it's huge and bordering on out of control.

And that 6.8% is the consumer prices. Even worse are the producer prices. They're up by over 8%. Those prices are upstream of consumer prices, which means that next quarter is probably going to be even worse from a consumer price standpoint.

I noticed even in the earlier parts of COVID mania any time I'd go to a park or a store, even out in rural areas there were Indian/Chinese citizens.

And...that was one of the first clues to me that this was being overplayed. If this was really what the FNM was claiming why would you travel internationally for business/pleasure?

I remember the out of control inflation of the 70's the mid-teens. The goal was always to get it down to 7%, which we are approaching officially, which seems to be some sort of tipping point where it just feeds on itself. Situation is even worse now with a regime dedicated to choking off fuel supplies and wouldn't bother them much of meat becomes affordable. This is going to get much uglier.

World at War is a great documentary about WWII. One of the most interesting parts were near the final episodes where they spoke with the Japanese support staff of the Leadership in Tokyo. There was lots of talk of fighting to the death but also lots of talk of surrendering. Leadership was divided. The Emperor made the final decision. Those Atomic bombs saved Japan.

The entire argument is retrospective and assumes knowledge we have now was available then. It wasn't.

Moreover, it is an immoral argument. They were the enemy. We are more important in the war than they are. It might be ugly, but it's the way it is. We were losing thousands of people *per day* in essentially a holding action while we prepared the invasion of the home islands. The main combat had ended for the time being. Okinawa was in the rearview mirror, but the caskets kept piling up. Every day of delay to wait out the Japanese was costing American lives. If they would have surrendered a day later (they wouldn't have), why wait? Why give them yet more rope when *our* men were dying? Why are enemy lives more valuable than ours? Fuck the relativists.

Excuse the small correction but Dan Andrews is the state's Premier, who is the Head of Government like the Prime Minister of the state.

Canada's provincial "prime ministers" are called Premiers too with PM reserved for the federal Head of Government. [The Queen is the Head of State with a federal Governor-General as her local stand-in to e.g. sign bills into law; and there are provincial/state versions called a Lieutenant-General in Canadian provinces and similar for Aussie states although I don't know if they're called LGs there or not.]

A lot of people make that mistake regarding tyrants, because you assume they think like you do. When you make demands, you want those demands met. When they are met, you are satisfied.

When tyrants/Leftists/bullies/narcissists make demands, the meeting of their demands by others is what they want. They don't want what they're asking for, they want your compliance. So, no matter how many demands you meet, it's never enough.

Here's where my comments get deleted by a cum-guzzler....when those people make demands, you don't meet them, you break their fucking face, swiftly and brutally. You just smash and smash until they fall or back off. Every single time.
