Rittenhouse Trial: The Prosecutors Handle Witnesses As Well as F. Joe Biden Handles Sphincter Tone

This witness had previously testified that Rosenbaum -- the pedophile fresh out of a literal insane asylum who first ambushed Rittenhouse -- was shouting "F*** the police! I'm not afraid to go back to jail" and shouted "Shoot me, [n-word!]! Shoot me, [n-word]!" at people.

At a Black Lives Matter rally.

He then testifies that he saw the antifa thugs chasing Rittenhouse, after hearing gunshots.

The defense attorney elicits from the witness that the prosecuting attorneys did not like his original statements -- which tended to clear Kyle -- and asked him to change aspects of it.

Update: I think the point of contention might be that the prosecutors wanted him to say I believed that Huber and Grosskreutz were trying to stop an active shooter whereas the witness' actual words and actual belief was only that the two antifa thugs were chasing after Rittenhouse, and trying to stop him. The witness, in other words, didn't offer up the prejudicial, judgmental "trying to stop an active shooter." The prosecutors wanted him to say that to make them seem to be heroes.

Prosecution asks their own witness, who just testified that they previously attempted to get him to "alter" his testimony, "and we didn't ask you to change your original statement, did we?"

The answer is inevitable.

Screenshot (764).png

The fat guy with the stunned expression is the prosecutor who just got him to insist "Yes, you asked me to alter my statement." The guy with his hands up saying "There it is" is the defense attorney.

The guy just said the prosecutors asked him to alter his testimony, and then, in court, they try to get him to alter it again.

The Steltereque assistant prosecutor continues to badger him about whether he was asked to "alter" his testimony, but the witness insists he was asked to "alter" it, and that he felt "uncomfortable" about this.

So a prosecution witness says they pressured him to change his statement to incriminate Rittenhouse.

He comes across as very credible, too. He's got an apple-farmer hick kind of innocence to him. Reckieta says that he seems to have an eidetic (photographic) memory so he probably came across as credible as to pure power of recall, too.

Reckieta's coverage is here; this witness is on the stand in about the last hour of the feed.

Worth watching!!!

Yesterday the lead detective in the case admitted that the only people Rittenhouse shot were chasing him.

The first part might well be true. I'm not so sure about the second part. I watched the whole trial, and she definitely was not equal to the unethical tactics put on by the defense. Nor the ethical (sort of) ones.

I discovered months after the trial that if you have a pair of gloves that happens to fit you really well, and you put on a latex liner first, you can't get them on, no way, nohow.

"If it doesn't fit, you must acquit."

Powerful stuff, and she did not counter it properly.

103 I watched entire testimony of this witness and when the prosecution did indeed ask him to change his testimony in a manner that would incriminate Rittenhouse I busted out laughing, it was like are you f'ing kidding me? The witness then went on to state that the ATF, the FBI, the local yokel detectives keep hounding him at home, at work, and through repeated interviews. It wasn't explicitly stated by the witness that I heard but it was damn clear that each of these law enforcement agencies were pressuring him to perjure himself so the prosecution could railroad Rittenhouse and collect his scalp. This case should be dismissed by the Judge as of yesterday. This matter never was a prosecution but a persecution so the Uniparty assholes running the show could complete the narrative this was a white supremacist domestic terrorism event.

This should have been nailed down in depositions, already.

How much fun, if this was planned sabotage.

The witness, in other words, didn't offer up the prejudicial, judgmental "trying to stop an active shooter." The prosecutors wanted him to say that to make them seem to be heroes.

That might have been the "alteration" demanded.

A jury is only needed if there is a question of fact--someone is lying. If everyone agrees on the facts, then there's no need for a jury, and the judge applies the law to the agreed facts.

But people are pretty good at figuring out when someone's lying. To do that, you have to be able to observe the witness. The defendant sits closest to the jury, during the trial, for this reason.

When they testified it was clear they didn't want to be there and gave off the vibe what they were saying was not quite credible. Given today's testimony by the photographer that the prosecution tried to get him to change his testimony to fit the prosecution's narrative, I now must conclude the testimony they gave was molded to fit exactly what the prosecution wanted to hear. Maybe coerced is a better word here, lie seems to fit here too to some degree. This makes it all the more sublime that each of them made the defense case in spite of the prosecution manipulation.

187 This. I was on a case once where it was infuriating that the judge ruled against us every time he had a judgment call to make. The jury came back for our client. The judge (and the verdict) was appeal-proof, because there were no instances where the other side didn't get what they wanted.

Prosecutor asked Grambo how she intended to "protect property" with her gun. It was a good question -- they were trying to get her to say she'd shoot protesters for damaging property, which is illegal in Wisconsin.

Grambo didn't fall for it, but I didn't like her response.

What she should've said is she'd put out any fire and try to stop the damaging of property and IF someone attacked her for doing so and she feared for her life and safety, she *might* use her gun in self-defense.

Or would that be a bad answer?

I'm not a virologist but this sounds like a bad idea

The first oral antiviral for treating COVID-19, Merck & Co.'s molnupiravir, received approval from the U.K. Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency on 4 November. But the approval, for people at high risk of severe disease, comes as a prominent virologist has suggested using molnupiravir could do far more harm than good, potentially unleashing new, deadlier variants of SARS-CoV-2....

Molnupiravir, which Merck and Ridgeback Biotherapeutics developed from an earlier, experimental antiviral, works by interfering with viral replication, littering the viral genome with mutations until the virus can no longer reproduce.

272 The McCloskey's should have gone to trial and not pleaded out to a lesser charge.

It's very hard to convict in cases like this if you have a good defense team.

We need better legal resources for "political" cases like this. Someone like Flynn is another example of someone who rolled over too easy.

427 That testimony from the witness may lay the grounds to get around the immunity enjoyed by prosecutors for malicious prosecution. The two big hurdles are:

1. No reasonable cause to bring charges

2. Prosecutor pursued case for improper reasons. (you have to show that the prosecutor didn't just get bad information...and a witness telling the court that he was asked to change his story by the prosecutor makes this a possible malicious prosecution case)...

If the Judge lays into the prosecution...it will be a pretty strong case.

This. I was on a case once where it was infuriating that the judge ruled against us every time he had a judgment call to make. The jury came back for our client. The judge (and the verdict) was appeal-proof, because there were no instances where the other side didn't get what they wanted.

Maybe this explains what was happening yesterday, a bit, when the defense attorney was questioning the witness, the prosecuting attorney claimed that was leading the witness, and the judge sustained the objection. It was for really petty stuff, I thought, like "Did you sign the testimony statement on X date?" which could be immediately confirmed.
