The Morning Report - 11/3/21

bidendownfallelection.jpg

Good morning, kids. And it really is a good morning perhaps for the first time since Qassem Soleimani received an ALCM enema almost two years ago now. Yet that said, I am reminded of the final line from the movie Patton, wherein the general recalls the Roman tradition of a slave whispering in the triumphant emperor's ear that "all glory is fleeting." I'll get to that in due course. But for now, unzip your trousers, dip your nether regions in a cup of Kozy Shack tapioca and drink in the bitter tears of the Leftists and savor it like a '26 Veuve-Clicquot Yellow Label Brut!

"What happens in Virginia will in large part determine what happens in 2022, 2024, and on," Kamala Harris had declared while campaigning for McAuliffe.

For the first time in her life, she's right.

The American Revolution was won in Virginia. As General Cornwallis surrendered at Yorktown to the American armies commanded by George Washington, the British band played, "The World Turned Upside Down." The world turned upside down again in Virginia with a new revolution against the tyrannical rule that has gripped the state and the nation.

Glenn Youngkin, the Republican rebel, repeatedly invoked the spirit of Washington, Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe, those storied Virginian rebels, on the campaign trail and in his victory speech celebrating the political world turning upside down with the fall of Terry McAuliffe. It's impossible to overstate the shadow cast by McAuliffe, Bill Clinton's consigliere, DNC chair, Hillary's campaign co-chair, and former governor. Not all that long ago McAuliffe was being tipped for a White House run. Now he couldn't even manage to get his old job back. . .

. . . Virginia may have been the loudest shot of the anti-woke revolution, but it wasn't the only one. . .

. . . Democrats doubled down on accusing their opponents of racism. But the louder they shouted, the more they looked like liars and fools. The Republican ticket brought together Youngkin with Winsome Sears, a Jamaican immigrant, for Lt. Gov, and Jason Miyares, the son of Cuban immigrants, for Attorney General. Democrats were moronically slandering a campaign that had brought together white, black, and Latino candidates with smears of racism and "whiteness". . .

. . . "Racism still works in Virginia," former Gov. Howard Dean tweeted over his own lost cause. Walter Shaub, Obama's director of Government Ethics, falsely claimed that Youngkin "ran on straight up racism". MSNBC's Mehdu Hasan also falsely insisted that, "Youngkin did in fact run 'on straight up racism." The truth was that Youngkin ran on anti-racism. The real kind. As the results came in out of Virginia accusations of racism flooded the mainstream cable news airwaves. Meanwhile voters of all races were turning on the radicalism of the race baiters.

Beyond Virginia, the big news is that New Jersey - New. Friggin'. Joy-zee - might actually have had enough of the truly horrid Phil Murphy, another gerontocidal maniac in the Angel of Death Cuomo mold who racked up thousands of nursing home deaths on his watch - is losing by a red nether hair to GOP opponent Jack Ciattarelli. The margin as of this writing is only a few thousand votes, well within the capacity of a single 1976 Buick LeSabre trunk, and there is no way in hell that the Dems are going to allow a governorship in the solid blue northeast to go GOP. I count that one as good as stolen but we'll see if I am pleasantly surprised. As for New York City? Eric Adams is a milder DeBolshevik who has the horse sense to keep his mouth shut about his real intentions before an election. In any case, who cares. I'm out of here next year anyway.

It should also be noted that McAuliffe's defeat while perhaps not de-railing the Bilk Bolshevism Better multi-trillion dollar destruction, it doesn't exactly help it. These elections were indeed a referendum on the past 10 months so now the politicians and propagandists are going to be tap-dancing like Fred Astaire on speed with a jackhammer to convince you otherwise.

The other huge rejection of the night was the move in several states and cities to destroy the police. Biggest one of all was at the epicenter of that movement, Minneapolis where Religion of Peaceniks Ilhan Bro-Fo Omar/Nur/Burqawitz/Ikeeelyou and Keith "wife beater" Ellison saw their madness go down in rhetorical flames as high as the actual flames that burned out scores of cities and towns in the wake of George Floyd's death.
Shifting back to the high-level view, the estimable Andrea Widburg notes:

Tuesday's elections showed that Democrats do not have a mandate. When Americans see Democrats in action, they hate what they see. (We hope that more congresscritters than Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema pay attention to this fact.)

We also learned what might be the most important thing of all: Conservatives can win if people outside of the cities will vote. If enough rural and suburban voters make the effort, Republicans can achieve victories beyond the margin of Democrats' cheating. It's just a shame that it takes the Democrats putting America on the verge of collapse for so many good, intelligent, and conservative Americans to get to the polls.

Ms. Widburg's analysis is correct insofar as midterm and special elections are concerned, and general elections in normal times. But these are not normal times. The presidency and agenda of Donald Trump overturned the tables of the moneychangers so to speak and after 2016, as we all know, all bets were off. Despite the mail-in balloting, the evisceration of even modest election integrity laws and all the shenanigans due to the pretext of the Beijing Blight, Trump was not only beating the cheat but seemed on the verge of a clear if not decisive victory. There was massive enthusiasm and massive turnout, including new voters and voters crossing party lines to vote for him. That's when the overflowing mystery toilet in Atlanta flooded out six entire states, and the rest is history, or the end of history as the case may be. That said, logic dictated that Virginia, which had been turning blue, figuratively and literally, with a key Clinton crime family capo running, and in the wake of the 2020 theft had this one in the bag. And yet the minions of Dao-Min Yen couldn't tip the scales.

And now, gentle reader, I Psaki-psircle back to my warning about yesterday's results. It's all well and good to win elections. Now that Mr. Youngkin, and victors under the GOP banner elsewhere, have got the brass ring, it is incumbent upon them to now crawl over broken glass and run naked into a volcano to insure that the will of the people who voted for them is done - fully and absolutely. No compromises, no give-backs, no flip-flops. This is not about a tax cut here or a rate reduction there. This is about literal life and death issues and perhaps a slim sliver of hope to at least stop the descent into the abyss, let alone come back from the brink. I'm heartened by yesterday but at the same time I dread that it will all have been for naught.

And that brings me to yet another dumb quote from an otherwise sharp pundit.

"Democrats need to start succeeding or relinquish power soon. Otherwise, for the coming decades, their brand will stink of these bitter times."

Mr. Mill, please understand that right now, the Democrats ARE succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. Their only obstacle, such as it is and it ain't much, is the intra-party feud between the Maoists and the mere Trotskyites as to the speed and priorities of our destruction, not its inevitability.

Hearken back to what Rush Limbaugh, of blessed memory, said in January of 2009 about Obama: "I hope he fails." No, Democrats need to be removed from every single elected and bureaucratic position and never allowed to hold any sort of power ever again. Period. And whatever it takes to ensure that outcome, so be it. They are not "the loyal opposition" and have not been for years, perhaps decades. They are a hostile, alien entity bent on our destruction/subjugation merely wearing the moldering skin-suit of a legitimate American political party.

No compromise, no quarter. This is war. Savor the victory for now, but the victors had better remember what earned that victory. "All glory is fleeting."

23 There's something very interesting going on with the Reconciliation Bill, or the BBB bill, whatever you want to call it. A couple days ago, Manchin said he would never vote for the spending bill unless it was scored Revenue-Neutral. Now, that's a silly political game that Senators use, but Manchin appears to believe in it, and has stuck by it for two full months now. So what have the other Dems done over the last 48 hours? Since he said that, they have ADDED another Trillion in costs to their bill! (cutting pharmaceutical costs, SALT, etc,)

What this tells me is that Leadership knows that this bill is dead; that it now has no chance of passing, and they might as well lard it up with everything their activist base wants so that they can say "hey look we tried!!!"

Please, stop with this nonsense. First, why not friggin' stop the cheating instead of trying to beat it. I hate that phrase. Second, McAwful lost because of the Loudon school board and his inept handling of it. Youngkin had it wrapped up for him with a bow and it would have taken an idiot to lose. Third, conservatives vote consistently. What doesn't happen consistently is the GOP putting up candidates that aren't lukewarm water (which is Youngkin). This is simply a call to go back to "Vote for us, we aren't the Democrats."

She has asked what I used in my religious exemption letter to be approved. In my letter (crafted mostly by Miss Linda), I hit the following points:
*
How I came to be a Christian
Fetal cell lines being used = abortion = immoral for me to participate in
Christians need to encourage ethical alternatives, no fetal cell lines
The vaxes rewrite RNA/DNA, and this is usurping God's role as Creator. Replacing faith in God w/ faith in man is idolatry
As a Christian, I am called to reject immorality and sin
*
I closed with a mention of my long service to my employer, and that I received a staff excellence award in '16. "I am sure we can reach an accommodation that presents no hardship to either [Employer] or myself." Feel free to use or adapt as needed.

I was thinking along this line yesterday. If Youngkin restored Confederate statues, it would be justified but imagine the shitstorm.

The Overton window has really shifted on that. It will take massive victories at every level for perhaps decades in order to restore the monuments without any recrimination, politically or culturally.

51 Don't know if anyone is still fretting over a last minute steal using absentee votes (they were at 1AM on the ONT).

Did a quick check, Youngkin's lead is 70K votes.

There are a total of 75K mail-in votes that have not been returned.

All precincts have reported, except for the absentee precincts (the 75K possible that could show up) and the Tangier precinct in Accomack County.

A 93% vote for McAwful if every one of those ballots arrived would be unlikely to pass the canvas.

68 What's sort of "interesting" in the Rittenhouse "trial" is the notion held even by some nominally sane observers that he was somehow in the wrong because he travelled out of state. He didn't "belong there" or didn't need to be there, or somesuch.

What is not stated is the crucial fact that many of the rioters didn't belong there either, and are organized across state lines specifically for the purpose of causing mayhem and destruction.

Looked at one way, Rittenhouse took the initiative and did exactly what practically the entire local, state, and federal apparatus is required to do statutorily. For this, he must be punished, apparently. He may possibly be found Not Guilty but this is just an absolute shame by our "leaders", and the "press".

83 It's all well and good to win elections.

Amen, J.J. The Left has been hysterically screaming about "existential threats" for decades when it's clear that the only existential threat to me, my family, my countrymen, and my country is literally The Left.

85 So given that it appears that they're not going to do a late-night ballot dump to steal Virginia, I have to ask the obvious question: why?

I can think of two possibilities. Either the fraud would be so obvious and so singular (as in, happening in one place with few other distractions) that to do it in such close proximity to last year's election would suddenly make the fraud claims about the 2020 debacle more credible, or that they are willing to play ball with a likely-malleable GOPe guy rather than move mountains to get one of the most reckless, stupid and tone-deaf man to have ever run a major gubernatorial campaign seated.

Posted by: Joe Mannix (Not a cop!) at November 03, 2021 07:02 AM (DU+/6)

86 That was nice of the leftist machine to give us hope by allowing Youngkin to win Virginia. GOPe candidates are safe and won't derail much if any of their progress. Brilliant move by the Dems to make an election look legit after the stolen 2020 election. At least it'll give our side something to talk about and speculate for a while.

87 Here's what I worry about; Republicans get a win here, a win there and all of sudden it's a wave. It's not. In two years another raft of elections will be held. I do not think Republicans will be in the same position they were yesterday and will not win. People forget.

This goes back to the tug-of-war that we have between the left and right. The left had pulled the rope nearly to their side and the right was able to tug it back just a little bit... but the left only needs a couple more inches to win.

88 Hate to be a pollyanna but at least in my neck of the woods, the news was pretty dire.

3 referendums that were complete BS passed.

The first was to reject a Central Maine Power project to put high power lines through the Kennebec valley wilderness. This project would bring that oh-so-important electric power from Canadian hydroelectic dams (RENEWABLE!!!!111) to New England. The project had already gotten approval from both Republican and Democrat administrations but nope. WORSE is that it specifically said that laws can be retroactively applied - this one in particular. I can't imagine that this isn't going to be appealed to a court.
The second issue was a bond issue for "transportation infrastructure" which will be anything but. Maine has no money - why are we issuing more debt? It's dumb.
The third is a "right to food" constitutional amendment. Basically this says that people have the right to grow and consume food of their choosing. It came about because some idiots were raising goats and chickens in the city - and butchering them on plastic in their living room. You don't have to imagine the demographics of the perpetrators...*cue Lion King music*

I stuck my neck out and opined that it looked like Youngkin was going to take it a couple days ago. Not blind optimism; rather, my working theory is the Dem Fraud Machine is really only up and running in a few places, specifically 5 or 6 large Dem controlled cities (Detroit, Atlanta, etc) and also the entire State of California, which has enshrined legal fraud (vote harvesting by activists) into their state law.

But outside of those places, it's still very difficult for Dems to tilt elections.

They probably didn't think they needed it, or if they did, that Youngkin would be as prepared in Fairfax county and the liberal strongholds to combat it.

When I early voted on the 1st day at my site, I was given the wrong paper ballot, as was my kid. I walked up, proved it was wrong, watched the destruction of my wrong ballot with permanent marker, voted, and then walked out to tell Youngkin's folks, who asked for all details and recorded the time of my vote (since I said if mine was wrong, anyone else's might have been wrong for the 1st 30 minutes, and Repubs were the motivated, so we might have been overrepresented in the wrongness). They were on top of voting irregularities in Fairfax, and they were around to report them to.

132 Mr. Mill, please understand that right now, the Democrats ARE succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. Their only obstacle, such as it is and it ain't much, is the intra-party feud between the Maoists and the mere Trotskyites as to the speed and priorities of our destruction, not its inevitability.
++++
And that might be another reason beyond what I mentioned in 85. What JJ wrote here is of course true, but that puts McAuliffe in a weird spot. He is neither a Maoist nor a Marxist. He'll play ball with either, of course, and do as he's told - but he is a Clinton machine guy. He's a gangster. The gangsters are over in the Party and the two hardcore collectivist wings are going at it for Party control. They might have been unwilling to deal with the aftermath, the press coordination, the judicial corruption, and all the other bullshit that goes with stealing an election just seat an old-guard Clinton guy.

Most likely, in six years, VA will be back to solid blue and every race that isn't a blowout will miraculously go to the Dems. Nothing that happened in VA showed a change in the fundamentals. Welp, anyone who is a true American willing to fight the good fight did. Anyone who ever played sports or competed at anything at any level did. Only the whining, do-nothing American'ts were clueless.

And yet, here are some of the American'ts here in this morning's thread still whining andl wormtongueing their allies and their victory.

As the late great George Harrison said, "I don't need no wah-wah."

Everyone, especially ideological activists, hate losing and hate losers. It's starting to dawn on all of them that they've picked a brain damaged dementia patient as their "leader", and as things start to fall apart for them (like last night) they are going to blame him more and more.

We should never have to prove why we should not be forced by the government to have a medical procedure or get injected with a drug.

Fairfax did. I watched them do it at 1AM.

It wasn't enough, they could only net about 25K votes. The shift to Youngkin in VA Beach and south Richmond suburbs was too big a mountain to climb.

There is no mystery to this, the fraud machine was used, it wasn't enough. What killed them was having a specific total of absentee ballots known. There was a known upper limit to what they could manufacture.

I'm assuming that this is the black pill mentality. Razorfist did a great video on this yesterday - prescient as he was - about what the true purpose of propaganda is. Propaganda in this case - being pretty much anything the media spews over the airwaves.

Essentially, the purpose of propaganda isn't to get you to believe a lie - it is to lie to you and make you believe there's nothing you can do about it.

I admit that in the depths of my sorrow over the 2020 debacle that I dabbled in the "we're all fucked!" ideology - but I hope last night was somewhat of a vindication that we can still use the civil procedures to regain our liberties. I hope.

Per VA law every mail-in ballot must be asked for by 5PM on Oct 22. I was watching the outstanding absentee votes vs. the number of ballots sent all night.

1,256,904 ballots were sent out (that is the upper limit)

As of 7:20 AM 1,181,427 ballots have been returned.

That leaves 75,477 ballots that could show up by Friday, but they must be postmarked by yesterday and then pass the canvas, which will be hard now. Those will get special scrutiny if they all show up voting Dem. Youngkin's lead is 70,014.

I got kicked out of a council meeting because I told the members that they were cowards for sending a greenspace/private property issue back to an "exploratory committee" for a 2nd time. I said that they were just scared of taking responsibility for making a decision.

These people are idiots. The VA race, insofar as it about a given social policy, wasn't about racism. Yes, CRT was a big factor and parents' (and all normal people's) hatred of it was certainly a thing - but the tipping point, the thing that made all of the polls move and infuriated enough people, was not race at all. It was Loudoun County and the fake tranny's real rape that they covered up. What moved the election wasn't race, it was sex.

And they need to acknowledge and fear that. Sex is multi-racial, and the same old schemes they've been developing for a couple of generations don't translate well. Black, white, green, whatever - nobody wants their daughter raped in a bathroom while the government closes ranks around the perpetrator.

To a point. But what does "felt secure" mean? There is fairly little fraud on the delivery side, it happens in the counting rooms. Vote-by-mail makes fraud trivially easy. They can do whatever they want in the counting room, out of a limitless pool. Vote by mail needs to be the exception - absentee ballots, requested on time and issued only with a legitimate reason. Eliminating vote-by-mail as the general method and curtailing absentee ballots to the point that most or all are legitimate is perhaps the most important thing needed for election.

If they try to debate you on doctrine, they're breaking the law, and possibly two laws. The first is the Establishment Clause. They cannot put a religious test in place (for the government, anyway). The other is the Civil Rights Act, which makes it so private industry can't do the same thing. Voter reform/integrity is a lost cause. He'll need an army of lawyers and judges which I seriously doubt he can afford. I think it's a worthy goal, but a very difficult one to meet.

That loss gave the American'ts great solace as their predictions of the unstoppable nature of the mighty Japanese Navy "came true".

So, a bad night for the American'ts. We proved we can get the win decisively. Will we win every campaign from here on out? No. But, if we keep fighting, we will win the war.

1) they're for sailboats... and therefore you budweiser powered bass boat bubbas will definitely not get to your fishin' hole and back before the bossman knows you're late for morning shift.

2) they require a huge battery pack to run for any amount of time. Huge. Like 8 to 12 individual deep cycle marine batteries.

Also if Gavin starts talking about boats - just ask him about the last time he had anything to do with sailboats - aka the 34th America's Cup in San Francisco where Larry Ellison managed to drain the coffers of both SF and California to run his rich-guys (but really cool boats - 55mph in a sailboat whoa!) regatta. ==========

This take is so obviously wrong it's laughable. What turned VA against Democrats was their efforts in the culture war, and the massive bills are just huge fronts in the culture ware with the backing of the federal government and treasury.

The American people have long since proven that they're much more willing to punish parties for bad legislation (in the short term at least) than rewarding parties for good legislation.

Oh, it came from somewhere. It came from the demonic cellars of Critical Theory, and slipped in through the back door from our colleges. It's entrenched bigly. But parents started to notice. And why did they start to notice? COVID response. COVID lockdowns forced the kids home, and the parents got to see what the hell was going on, day in and day out. Without COVID measures and closing schools, CRT would still be everywhere and would still be largely invisible.

He's a pretty milquetoast corporate guy, from the Mitt Romney school of management consultant turned politician (Obviously, I don't have particularly high hopes for him, but hey, the Dems lost!). If you were against Youngkin, plain and simple, you're a Democrat. Ace has been saying it for a while, but this election made it obvious. Kristol's a Democrat. Wilson's a Democrat. Posted by: Tami at November 03, 2021 07:54 AM

This was the second most common talking point on MSNBC that I saw (after CRT in schools is a Republican lie). Voters overwhelming support the provisions of the BBB bill, and if Dems fail to pass it, voters won't reward the Dems. Despite their protestations, I don't think that's the message moderate Dems will get.

They could pull a Republican Obamacare failure theater, though. Lard up the bill with EVERYTHING, try to pass it, and then, when it fails, go into the midterms with the "We just need a bigger majority to pass this key legislation. We'll get it next time, swearsies! Send more money and vote blue no matter who!"

Murphy behind by a hair, but confident of victory once the cemetery vote comes in. Literally, that's how my friend active in Democrat politics described it to me.

More meaningfully, the fact this wasn't a 10-12 point win has the Democrats stunned. Shocked. Whatever adjective you prefer, they are all pointing at Biden and saying "It isn't us, it's you".

The Senate President, Steve Sweeney, who runs the statehouse for the Democrats and is very powerful "barely" won, against a first time candidate who is said to have spent a total of $200 on his campaign.

520 IMHO, a big reason Youngkin won is because he was able to use a Democrat tactic: Hammer on a social issue that makes the other guys look heartless and evil. And Youngkin was smart to do so in a "friendly" way; he did not use words like heartless and evil and oppressor against the Dem pols and educators.

So, I believe the lesson the Democrat Core learns from yesterday is they must never never ever allow a Republican to gain the high-ground on any issue or topic. In other words, instantly attack and frame anything a Republican says as heartless and anti-(fill-in-the-blank), while being very careful hat you say (stick to the focus-group-tested talking points, you dummy). In other-other words, Dems will double-down on the current strategy and tactics.

I don't think it's the end of Trump's influence. Even Youngkin was smart enough to attract his base. But I do think Trump should think long and hard and how or if he will run. Nobody wants another drawn out discussion about how the last election was stolen or the myriad other distractions that Trump is prone to. 534 California is big and important. Can they take down the whole country with them? I don't know. I doubt it. The collateral damage will be gigantic, though.

California's control over the other 49 is strong but I think they are self-marginalizing - though not fast enough for my tastes.

Example: they want to get rid of ICE in all of its forms. by doing so, CARB loses control over the rest of the nation over ICE because there is no form of emissions compliance in making ICE when the State completely bans them. They just aren't going to bully the portable generator industry anymore.

Dittos with electrification. As a net energy importer, Californians have decided together that they no longer want to be leading the way in anything other than guaranteeing the nation's highest energy costs.

And with expensive power goes industry and yet more influence.

Now do that with water and agriculture.

577 Was Kyle Rittenhouse authorized to be where he was when the first shooting happened?

Actually the testimony of the first witness (called by the prosecution) established that Kyle was told by the owner of the property to go there, to try to put out fires at that location. That testimony showed the prosecution's claim to the jury, that Kyle "just wandered there" of his own accord, was a lie. Moreover, since the prosecutor knew what his witness would say about the subject, it was a deliberate, vicious, and cynical lie, intended to destroy Kyle's life by misleading the jury.

3,783 into 127,000 is ~3%.

Remember that stat last year stating that the COVID death count is actually 6% of the reported count. Due to the "of" vs "with" you mention, where 94% of "COVID deaths" are with multiple comorbidities.

They have been deliberately lying about the data since the beginning to get the exact reaction they got from the general public: freakout and fear and automatic compliance to any policies they enact in the name of "the science".

583 While I'm glad Youngkin beat the cheat, I think we need to remember there are more than one kind of cheat at play in our elections. Given reports coming out of Virginia, I think Youngkin and the GOP were able to beat the local cheat. The low level ballot stuffing type shenanigans that have been our traditional form of cheating. Reports of GOP pollwatchers out numbering Dems in many districts, being "aggressive" and "not trusting poll workers" and having lawyers in the counting rooms probably stopped the lower level cheat.
The upper level cheat is still out there. That's what we call "Dominion", you see it when our candidate's totals go backwards on TV. It wasn't used for Terry. How do we know? Reports of him calling the WH and being told to pound sand. Obama decided to purge a Clintonista. The same thing happened in 2016. When it became clear Hillary wasn't going to win based on her own popularity/cheating ability, She called Barry, at 3AM and he told her "You're conceding". He screwed her. And they did the same to McAwful.

592 All glory is fleeting because alternating electoral victories with a slim majority cannot provide lasting legislative changes. VA/22/24 needs to be used to shift the electoral balance by reaching out to the Black Church which also benefits from MAGA's focus on jobs and borders. Use the moment to defund the left while supporting the underclass through vouchers, post-secondary training and term-limited government employment. An electoral shift providing a larger majority will allow MAGA to bypass the RINO's and drive legislation.
