I have seen a lot of HR depts. gain power due to discrimination legal issues. What happens is the company gets a lawsuit, and then they hire outside lawyers, and then they become "pro-active" and have seminars for the HR staff on how to be super-safe and nondiscrimanatory. Mgt. pours money into this because it is a fixed cost and low risk to quarterlies. They fear a lawsuit because of what it does to their risk/numbers in the eyes of analysts.

The discrimination lawsuits are the foot in the door to a regime of grift which takes over the company. That is how M&M ends up selling degeneracy instead of candy. There are other forms of attacks, like shareholder action, Sharpton style strong arm tactics, social media action, etc. but they already have a bunch of people in HR with lighter fluid in their hair ready to scream about how important it is to be "pro-active."

Tuesday. But voting season has been going on for six weeks. My sister-in-law went to vote the other day and was told she had been sent an absentee ballot. She said she never requested one and never got one. She had to go through all kinds of stuff and wound up with a provisional ballot. Doesn't inspire belief in our voting system here, does it.

those are good picks, i am sure the discussion will show up again. I hated candy corn,and yes i know that is a tired argument. I never got in one so this is the first time. I also hated charleston chew, and bit of honey was a legit pain. There were others I can't think of at this moment.

He was wearing high heeled boots that women normally wear and carrying a purse, while she was completely butched out.

I was going to put it off to people going a bit crazy with halloween, until I realized he knew exactly what he was doing, rummaging around in the purse, extravagant gestures while mincing his way around the place, etc.

I remember years ago ordering some nachos on a trip to Denver, and they brought out a bowl of doritos with a hunk of velveeta melted over it. Maybe mexican food has gotten a little more widespread now, but my old rule of thumb was, never order any outside of the 4 border states. (btw, I love tex-mex)

Judge Howell is not only legally incompetent and unfit, she is a cancer that needs to be cut out asap from the judiciary.

My favorite Halloween memory was trick-or-treating a dejected young guy sitting on his porch holding a bowl. It was late in the evening and he hadn't had a single trick-or-treater.

This was me practically every year when I lived in the mountains. By the time I was an adult, the kids (who are pansies, see above) had quit trick-or-treating because it's "too cold" and the hills are "really steep." Wah wah wah.

So by maybe 9p, I'd have gotten one or two intrepid little bastards with their staggering payloads of candy, and just added another pound or two them.
