Hillary's Minions Conspired to Push False Alfa Bank Story Even After Election In Order to Spitefully, Cynically Hobble a Duly-Elected President Fairly Chosen by the American People

This should not be a surprise, except to NeverTrumpers and their leftist media allies, of course, who have studiously refused to confront the overwhelming evidence of Russiagate's status as a cynical hoax from its outset.

It was reported by leftwing reporters Jonathan Allen and Annie Parnes in their book Shattered thatHillary Clinton decided to sabotage the administration of an incoming president by pushing this hoax within 24 hours of losing the election, both out of a wounded sense of entitlement transformed into vicious, unpatriotic spitefulness, and to explain away her historic loss as all due to the action of an enemy regime.

Hillary Clinton hostaed a plan and personally placed blame for her election loss on Russia just "twenty-four hours of her concession speech."

The stunning revelation was reported by journalists Jonathan Allen and Amie Parnes, who methodically detailed in their Clinton campaign tell-all, Shattered: Inside Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign how Clinton helped fan the flames of "Russian collusion" by blaming her election loss on the FBI investigation into her private emails and Russian interference.

"She wants to make sure all these narratives get spun the right way," a longtime Clinton confidant told Allen and Parnes. The pair detailed how Hillary Clinton's Russia-blame-game was spurred by her senior campaign staffers John Podesta and Robby Mook, less than "within twenty-four hours" after she conceded to Trump.

From Shattered:

That strategy had been set within twenty-four hours of her concession speech. Mook and Podesta assembled her communications team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn't entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.

The Clinton camp's Russia propaganda strategy was two-pronged: first, they encouraged a willing and sympathetic media to cover how "Russian hacking was the major unreported story of the campaign, overshadowed by the contents of stolen e-mails and Hillary's own private-server imbroglio," while "hammering the media for focusing so intently on the investigation into her e-mail, which had created a cloud over her candidacy," Allen and Parnes wrote.

John Sexton points out this new report by Paul Sperry of Real Clear Politics' detailing the Hillary Clinton conspiracy's campaign to delegitimize, destabilize, and cripple a presidency before it had even begun.

A Hillary Clinton campaign operation to plant a false rumor about Donald Trump setting up a "secret hotline" to Moscow through a Russian bank was much broader than known and involved multiple U.S. agencies, according to declassified documents and sources briefed on an ongoing criminal investigation of the scheme.

In addition to the FBI, the 2016 Clinton campaign tried to convince the Obama administration’s State Department, Justice Department and Central Intelligence Agency to look into the hoax, and continued pressing the issue even after Trump was inaugurated in January 2017.

The goal was to trigger federal investigative activity targeting her Republican rival and leak the damaging information to the media.

"The Clinton machine flooded the FBI with pressure from a number of angles until investigations of Trump were opened and reopened," said one of the briefed sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive law enforcement matter. "The deception was wide-ranging."

Sperry notes that even though Hillary Clinton's minions doubted their "Alfa Bank" story, calling it "weak," they repeatedly attempted to inflame the intelligence and law enforcement branches of the Deep State to attack the Trump Presidency based on... nothing. A hoax.

When Michael Sussman's entreaties didn't work -- he's the Hillary Clinton lawyer recently indicted by John Durham for lying to the FBI about who his client was -- they gave Christopher Steele the same hoax and sent him to re-pitch the hoax to them, claiming he was also hearing about the Alfa Bank Connection.

Lying, of course. He got it from the same place they'd all already heard it from.

After Sussmann's meeting with the FBI in September 2016, the Clinton campaign approached the State Department the following month with the same lead, this time using paid Clinton campaign subcontractor Christopher Steele to feed the rumors. A former British intelligence officer, Steele was offered as a reliable source to help corroborate the rumors. On Oct. 11, 2016, Steele gave his contact at Foggy Bottom documents alleging that a supposed hidden server at Trump Tower was pinging Moscow.

Two days later, a State official who previously worked under former secretary Clinton funneled the information to the FBI's then-top Eurasia/Russia counterintelligence official, Stephen Laycock, according to recently declassified notes and testimony. Laycock, in turn, forwarded the information to Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who led the investigation of Trump and his campaign and had just weeks earlier texted a bureau lawyer, "We'll stop [Trump from being elected]."

...

Steele, who later confessed he was "desperate" to defeat Trump, was the author of the debunked dossier claiming Trump colluded with Russia to steal the election. He even misspelled the name of the Russian bank as "Alpha." Still, the FBI took his rumors seriously enough to interview tech vendors working for the Trump Organization and obtain warrants to search Trump Tower servers. Within days of receiving the State Department tip, Strzok also used Steele's dossier to secure a wiretap on Trump adviser Carter Page.

Clinton foreign policy adviser and current National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan would put out a written statement trumpeting the Trump-Alfa Bank story, which was shared by then-candidate Clinton on Oct. 31, 2016, after Slate reported on it. Fusion GPS, the Washington opposition-research group that worked for the Clinton campaign as a paid agent, and helped gather dirt on Alfa Bank and draft the materials Sussmann would later submit to the FBI, reportedly pressed Slate to publish the story by the account of its author, journalist Franklin Foer.

"This was a highly sophisticated operation using enablers in both the media and federal agencies," George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley told RealClearInvestigations.

The Clinton campaign did not let up even after Trump won the election.

Do read the whole thing.

It makes me laugh so darkly when fanatical, evil NeverTrumpers like AllahPundit, Jonah Goldberg, and David French cry about Trump "spreading poison about the illegitimacy of our elections."

They pushed Hillary Clinton's conspiracy theories -- based on nothing but partisan animus and wounded pride, and of course Sydney Blumenthal's Wormtongue-like whisperings of wheels-within-wheels conspiracy theories -- for four F***ING years.

They have never apologized for this. They spread lie after lie after lie to cripple a duly elected president, chosen by the American people, and have never once accounted for their actions.

And then they dare to complain that Trump is spreading CONSPIRACY THEORIES that cast our PRECIOUS AMERICAN SYSTEM OF ELECTIONS into doubt.

Really, AllahPundit? Really, Jonah? Really, Blessing of Liberty Davey?

What would that be like, I wonder?

Oh, and by the way: The excuse that Jonah and Blessing of Liberty offer is that they were merely reporting on events, not endorsing any claims.

Though they really really pushed these particular claims, they say they were just neutrally presenting the news of the day.

Strangely enough, neither of these two have chosen to report on the evidence of the real conspiracy, the conspiracy by Hillary Clinton and her DNC and private lawyers to throw America into chaos for four years out of spite and to make excuses for herself.

If they were just "neutrally reporting" on Hillary's claims, why do they refuse to similarly "neutrally report" on the exposure of her claims as a paid pack of lies?

And AllahPundit -- well, you know his game. He simply won't report on this stuff at all. He was Hot Air's chief conspiracy theorist through RussiaGate, and now that RussiaGate is a proven conspiracy theory, he won't write a word about it.

Thus leaving this article to John Sexton to write up.

Again.

Point of order: they didn't "refuse to confront" the hoax, they were deeply involved.
And it wasn't a hoax, it was treason, since the conspiracy included foreign powers.

That's why I refuse to read/follow them and their respective outlets. If you can't man up to misreporting one of the most heinous political ops in American history, you really don't deserve a platform. It's bad enough to get sucked into the "official" narrative if indeed that's what happened, but to not revisit, honestly and fairly, that which you were so wrong about? Unforgivable. The Jolly Green Jackass Comey, Humble Servant of God, made it into a media story when he gave his idiotic statement about how he wasn't going to recommend prosecution of Hillary for her obvious crimes, and still the media spun it as no big deal and really kind of a vindication of her.

The fact is that Hillary set up a private, insecure email server, in violation of all sorts of federal laws and f*cking common sense, because she is a crooked bitch who knew that she was going to be sending and receiving incriminating emails while running her grift as Secretary of State, and she didn't want those e-mails exposed to public view. That's why she hired her own unapproved contractors to install and service the server. Then, the inevitable happened and she was hacked and every f*cking country on the planet was getting copies of her SOS e-mails in real time, for four damn years.

Hillary Clinton is a dangerously incompetent, stupid, corrupt bitch. The e-mail story is proof of that fact.

I group them into 4 groups: 1. the true conspirators (Strzok, Page, McCabe, etc.), who knew the entire thing was BS but were pursuing it for their own political purposes; 2. the unquestioning believers, who believed the story was true (perhaps because in most cases they were predisposed to believe it); 3. the overly trusting, who had no way to know, but if their chain of command told them it was true, then it must be; and 4. the cynical careerists, who could see it was probably BS, but Hillary was going to win, and the Clintons were famous for rewarding their friends and punishing their enemies, so they went along with it (and then when Trump won, worked overtime to cover up). I don't know how far into the circles Durham gets. Groups 2, 3, and 4 probably get away with it.

142 >>The problem is, there's been a lot of "investigation" in the past few years. The results, so far, include the theft of the 2020 presidential election, the arrest and imprisonment of dozens of political prisoners, double-digit inflation (when measured realistically), and the possibility of complete economic collapse and maybe worse in the coming months. There isn't going to be anything left for these "investigators" to report to.

And it all didn't start in the summer of 2016. That was the culmination of decades of us allowing the left to take over the media, take over the culture and take over the government. They had a many decade head start because we gave it to them. Painful but true. It was never going to get unwound in a few months.

And then there was the small issue of a worldwide pandemic that shutdown everything including the courts and grand juries for the better part of a year.

Did you know who Rodney Joffe was until a month ago cause I didn't. How about Georgia Tech's involvement? This was an enormous conspiracy and what we "knew" was only a small part.

We still don't even know who hacked the DNC but I think Durham does and it wasn't Ivan.

And yet enough people pretended to believe, or did believe, that it wasn't hooted out of the public square in hours. That's bad enough, but of course it's much worse. The Flynn persecution - which even forced the "judiciary" to show how completely farcical it is.

Hear me now and believe me later - within a year, there will be a wave of deaths and reactions the MFM will not be able to cover up, at which point the story will be, "Fauci was wrong and Trump didn't fire him! Trump is responsible for all these deaths! We NEVER wanted you to take the vaccine!"

And over three-quarters of this brain-dead country will swallow the lie and vomit it back out, blaming Trump.

289 The most important correct policies Trump pursued had nothing to do with Dem reaction/hysteria/insanity about him.

Reciprocal trade/reindustrialization

Deregulation/rational economic policies

His views on these things were unchanged, some for *decades*.

His instinctively correct instant reaction to idiotic poison like CRT is very much "70s Democrat", but that says more about the reference than him.

314 151 Rittenhouse Defense Team Implodes Hours Before Jury Selection

Could've seen that coming from a mile away. The outcome has been predetermined.
____________

Eh, the lead attorney doesn't like the jury consultant guy, and wouldn't let him in the courtroom to give him advice on picking jurors. Lots of defense attorneys think jury consultants are full of shit, and that they do a better job of picking juries using their own trial instincts.

I read some of the voir dire over at LI. Seems like there are plenty of Chauvin-style jurors in the jury pool -- people who have already decided that Rittenhouse should be convicted before they've heard or seen any of the evidence against him. But there were also some people who seemed angry about the riots and none too sympathetic towards the rioters.

We'll have to wait and see how good a jury the lead defense attorney picks. Sometimes it's just a crap shoot. People lie, and they lie during voir dire, and it's not always possible to spot the liars when you're meeting them for the first time that day. You just do the best you can and hope it turns out okay.

It applies to many institutions as another quote puts it, most endeavors devolve into rackets given enough time.

350 Is there a refresher course on why Trump's computer was communicating with the Alfa Bank computer and why that wasn't wrong or illegal?

Posted by: hurricane567 at November 01, 2021 05:24 PM (ouFGC)

351 >>I'm sure that claim will be of great comfort to Americans living through the increasing and accelerating destruction of pretty much everything by the collectivists.

So what's your suggestion? Should Durham tell people who are using very competent lawyers to fight subpoenas he really, really means it and boy they better come clean right this very second or he is going to get very angry!

The Whitewater investigation took over 5 years and that was peanuts compared to this. We are talking about unwinding the biggest political conspiracy in the history of the country not an episode of NSIC New Orleans.

Durham is currently battling Rodney Joffe and April Lorenzen and Georgia Tech researchers who are fighting subpoenas among other things. Our legal system is not fast and the bad guys are allowed to use legal means to fight back. I wish it was faster but wishing doesn't get very far.

353 >>JackStraw, Trump is pretty old.

>>I want him to run and win in 2024. However, he's old.

He's no spring chicken but I wish I had his energy. He's different that way.

Plus, I like an angry and vengeful Trump.

I like DeSantis, would be great to follow Trump. But I want Trump in 2024 because I think now he will be out for blood.

354 I want a wall AND chunk about 5 million people out of the country, some of whom were born here.
Posted by: Eromero at November 01, 2021 05:13 PM (0OP+5)

5 million? You grossly underestimate the number of illegals... hell even the Government admits to 11 Million... a number which has somehow not increased since they released that number years ago.
Posted by: Romeo13 at November 01, 2021 05:15 PM (oHd/0)

=========================

The Wall North AND South, and every illegal out of the US within 2 years. All 50-60 million. I am very willing to pay them to repatriate voluntarily. Sign this, settle your affairs and leave on a certain date within 90-180 days. You get $2,000 a person and $5,000 for your entire family. Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Kids and Grandkids are all immediate family. First to sign gets the $5,000. Hell, I would be willing to double or quadruple those amounts for a binding agreement that the entire family abandons any claims on US Citizenship permanently and for all future issue too.

Because if the President doesn't get it done in the first term? It will not happen.

Just to be a virtue signaling SOB, at least half, if not more, of the 'stimulus' money the Feds sent me and the wife went to charities. None of it is sitting stacked eight containers high in Long Beach, CA.

I knew the money would end up in the wrong hands, because when the govmint hands out money it always does. Trump is Trump, and I certainly would prefer him to the alternative, but if he runs again he's gotta do a better job. Better people, better advisors, tough as nails, willing to never compromise. The time for compromise on anything is over.

356 So why hire the consultant in the first place? That's the part that makes no sense to me.
____________

The lead defense attorney is a local guy named Mark Richards. The jury consultant, Barnes, is also a lawyer. I don't know why Barnes and Richards have gotten into a pissing match, but apparently they have. Sometimes people don't like each other, and can't work together. Trial lawyers tend to have big egos, and it looks like the egos are clashing in this case.

357 I'll say it again. I see no reason why DeSantis can't be Trump's VP.

It satisfies all of us Trump supporters, it pacifies the ageist worry-warts, and it sets us up for 12 years of competent governance.

358 >>Is there a refresher course on why Trump's computer was communicating with the Alfa Bank computer and why that wasn't wrong or illegal?

The Cliffs Notes are that he didn't have a computer communicating with Alfa Bank. Private contractors were hired by the Clinton campaign to spoof internet traffic to make it appear he did. And that contractor was a guy named Rodney Joffe that absolutely nobody knew about until a month or so ago.

Posted by: JackStraw at November 01, 2021 05:30 PM (ZLI7S)

That's the guy who reads only the front pages of a file .

361 Technically, you don't need a wall if you made it impossible to operate or function if you are illegally in the US.

Try to illegally maintain a presence in, say, Mexico or Canada.

See how long you last there before they trebuchet your ass back to wherever you came from.
