I figure that CA will be the last to feel anything, especially those in the Bay Area or SoCal. The closer you are to the center of the universe (corporations that own us) the lower the chances of seeing anything amiss. The only things I've noticed gone are random semi-obscure items. And I'll usually comment like "wow, there's been a run on band-aids?" Can't think of anything offhand, it seems things are just getting normal after not seeing things like Navy beans for so many months. We do know there's a huge back up at the ports, and large ticket items especially are hard to find. As far as grocery items, those could also just as easily be sitting in warehouses not being delivered just to scare people. Still, it never hurts to have a week to a month's worth of food on hand as crazy as things are right now. Never know when Biden is going to decide to bomb Campbell's Soup because tomato soup is bad. It's interesting, and they have lots of "DD" (due diligence) posted at the top of the superstonk site. It's a lot like ace's, where some of the posters seem pretty smart. Anyway, long story short: The banks and the Federal reserve are skimming money from everybody else. And now, thanks to the stars aligning with the GME naked short, the bad guys have all been exposed. And the SEC and all enforcement agencies are up to their necks in the scam, too. So are the brokers. If you read it, it's complicated, but basically everybody uses the money invested by the consumers for their own ends, and pays no taxes on it. So the redditors think that the current banks have to crash (the ones who were "too big to fail," remember?), so that we can build it up again. I imagine the truth is somewhere in between. Well, the bottom pad is actually what I use for blocking knit items. The pieces fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. I have them anyway, and they are closed cell foam so pretty solid. I did have to put a 2" foam pad on top of that. I have two futons. One has some foam in it, but makes my back hurt if I sleep on that one too long. The other is a Japanese one with extra padding, but still not enough for my shoulders. The 2" pad makes the Japanese one work.
And I still have the mattress and bed leaned against the wall, should I ever change my mind I need to haul it to the dump. Posted by: Notsothoreau - look forward at October 18, 2021 07:24 PM (5HBd1) 129

Well malinvestment has been rescued by printing money and low interest rates, but eventually we have to clear those investments back to something close to the actual worth, or sink the dollar through money creation so the inflation value of the dollar will match the actual value of those valuless malinvestments.
Destroying the players who are manipulating the markets for their own investments may be necessary to allow the clearing of these bad debts. Posted by: Kindltot at October 18, 2021 07:31 PM (KbLYZ) 157

Posted by: Bozo Conservative...Living on the Prison Planet at October 18, 2021 07:26 PM (tjZg/) From what has been posted here and elsewhere, it looks like the mRNA garbage opens you up for cancer in a big way, at least until it wears off. If it wears off. I think it was here somebody posted a Dr who was showing the blood panel of a very healthy young patient - and he said if he didn't know the guy's history, he'd think he had AIDS (after 2nd dose). Dr. Malone who invented the vaccine warned months ago that people's immunity would take a nosedive when the Pfizer (weakest of them all) began to plateau, and we'd see a rise in cases. Exactly what's happening. Damned good thing they censored his videos. Can't have the quack that invented the shit telling people this is the wrong use for it. Update on my condition:
No fever, very few aches and pains. My skin felt hyper-sensitive over the weekend, but that feeling dissipated for the first time this morning. I've got a persistent cough, but no phlegm comes up when I cough. I'm mostly better, but I don't think I'll be able to work out anytime soon, because as soon as I exert myself I start coughing - I don't think my lung capacity has diminished, however. All in all, I'd say I'm glad I took the IVM, but I'll also say that COVID isn't exactly a walk in the park. The worst is over, but I think full recovery will take a while. There aren't that many things that can cause a howitzer breech to blow off. I've seen it with a recoilless rifle. There really are only two possibilities: the charge detonated prematurely before the breech was closed and locked, so the breech was just being held on by the hinge, or the charge was too high. I guess a remote possibility could be that the projectile didn't clear the barrel.
