The Quotes of The Day

Quote I

Is it because we oppose critical race theory in schools? Perhaps it’s simpler than that—maybe it is because we support Big Tech reform and have opposed Google’s previous efforts to censor conservatives? This is unacceptable and APP will be considering and pursuing all legal options available to us,” American Principles Project (APP) on Monday, president Terry Schilling

Quote II

What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us; what we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal. Albert Pike

Quote III

Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. Vince Lombardi

Quote IV

"I know this is funny when you say to have a threesome with God, but it's really just inviting God into the bedroom. I invited God to be part of everything, including my sex life." ONLYFANS star Nita Marie

Quote V

“Now we are dealing with censorship regarding the benefits of natural immunity because for whatever reason the powers that be, the COVID gods, want the vaccine in every arm,” Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI)

I know many of you have been secretly waiting for this bit of news. The McRib is coming back soon!

McRib lovers, your day is coming – soon.

McDonald's announced Thursday that its iconic barbecue sandwich will return to participating restaurants nationwide Nov. 1, nearly a month earlier than in 2020, but later than before the coronavirus pandemic. The fast-food giant said it will be available for a limited time.

The McRib – seasoned boneless pork, barbecue sauce, onions and pickles on a hoagie-style bun – first launched regionally in Kansas City, Kansas, in 1981 before its national debut the next year.

Mike Bullington, McDonald’s senior archives manager, said in a statement that the idea for the sandwich was to be “enjoyed during the colder seasons.”

One of hopefully many victories in the freedom of religion vs. Chinese Kung Flu fight. Worker's in NY State win religious exemption fight.

A federal judge in New York ruled on Tuesday that religious exemptions for health care workers must be upheld in spite of the state’s sweeping COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

Then-Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the mandate in August.

The governor’s office said on Aug. 16 that “all healthcare workers in New York State, including staff at hospitals and long-term care facilities… including nursing homes, adult care, and other congregate care settings, will be required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 by Monday, September 27.”

Dog The Bounty Hunter is on Injured Reserve. But's he all in for: 'raising money for and consulting “a talented group of Florida locals” still on the hunt.' I feel better don't you?

Dog the Bounty Hunter has halted his search for Brian Laundrie after injuring his ankle.

TMZ reports that Dog injured his ankle in rough terrain while searching for Laundrie, and is now returning to Colorado for treatment.

Laundrie is a person of interest in the murder of his fiancée, Gabby Petito, a #VanLife influencer who was reported missing on September 11th and whose body was subsequently discovered on September 19th. Dog, a former bail bondsman turned reality TV bounty hunter, joined the search for Laundrie on September 23rd, and has spent the last two-plus weeks rummaging through Florida camp grounds looking for potential clues. One of his earliest leads, a crushed can of Monster Energy, was quickly determined to be nothing more than trash.

Armed & Dangerous? On January 6th 2021, you were. If you were Antifa during the Spring and Summer riots of 2020, not so much.

In addition, the overall numbers are relatively small. Eighty-two people charged with weapons-related offenses, out of how many? That is about 12% of the 670 or so currently charged. And 670 is smaller than the total number of rioters on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6. Does that amount to an "armed insurrection"? Especially when just five people have been charged with possessing firearms, the weapon of choice for modern armed insurrectionists, and one of them didn't arrive until after it was all over, and none of them fired the weapons, even in the intensity of the physical struggle that day?

And that is the problem with the "armed insurrection" talking point. By any current American standard of civil disorder, what happened on Jan. 6 was a riot. There were some instigators, and there were many more followers. A small number were anticipating a fight, probably with antifa. And as the day went on, some people lost their heads and did things they should regret for a very long time. But a look at the Justice Department prosecutions simply does not make the case that it was an "armed insurrection."

It's not quite SMOD, but it could prove to be interesting. A geomagnetic storm caused by a solar flare is slated to impact Earth this week, potentially causing disruptions to power grids and satellite communications, according to the U.S. Space Weather Prediction Center.

The agency, which is run by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, issued a geomagnetic storm watch, noting that “moderate” conditions could be possible on Monday and Tuesday “due to the anticipated arrival of a CME,” or coronal mass ejection from the sun.

The CME could impact power grids around 55 degrees latitude, potentially triggering power grid fluctuations with voltage alarms at higher latitudes, according to the Space Weather agency.

One of these days, this shit will come back and bite us in the ass. Unfortunately, it will be the common man and not the politicians who will suffer. Homeland Security secretary orders ICE to stop mass raids on immigrants' workplaces

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will no longer conduct mass raids on workplaces where undocumented immigrants are employed, according to a new order by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

The real problem, Mayorkas said in a memorandum released Tuesday, are "exploitative employers," not unauthorized workers.

This is really easy Secretary Mayorkas, raid the locations suspected of hiring illegal aliens. Deport the aliens and penalize the employers. Large fines and jail time. It would be easy to get a start on the problem.

I don't know how I'm going to break this to the Fabulous Mrs. Mis. Hum. We won't be going to London for New Year's Eve.

There won’t be a spectacular fireworks display on the Thames in London again this New year’s Eve due to ‘uncertainties caused by Covid.’

The event is off for a second year in a row but plans to hold a separate party in Trafalgar Square are seemingly under way.

Although large-scale events have been able to take place without restrictions since July, organisers seem to be wary of the situation with Covid over the winter.

A spokeswoman for Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said: ‘This year, as always, London will be welcoming the new year in a spectacular way.

I have a feeling our definition of "spectacular way" is quite different from one another.

And here you thought your job was tough. 'Tijuana’s new police chief was greeted on his first day on the job with a severed head and a threat from a drug cartel.'

The head was found decomposing inside a black plastic bag left in the street beside a message that accused the chief of being a “kidnapper who takes orders from the Sinaloa Cartel.”

14 I actually agree that the bigger problem with illegal-heavy employers is the employers themselves, but the chances of Team Biden actually going after them in any substantial capacity are effectively zero.

When I was growing up in TN there was a local-ish food service company notorious for its illegal workforce. They'd get raided by ICE every couple of years, but be back up and running again in a few weeks. No penalty, nothing learned by anyone.

Yep same here. Forecast is rain every other day for the next week. September was pretty dry though so we really need the rain. Reminds me... September 1977.. the great flood in Kansas City. The Plaza was flooded, I couldn't get to work for 2 days. Pretty bad.

30 Actor and former WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson says he may run for President of the United States in the future but admitted that he doesn't "know the first thing about politics" or "policy."

Watching 'The Rock'on the screen, it is easy to suspend worrying about his personal life and opinions, but this is the guy who went to the Republican National Convention at the First Union Center in Philadelphia to speak about Bush 44, then a decade or so later went to the Democratic National Convention and claimed he had never endorsed anybody for President and proceeded to endorse Joe Biden.
Now, he says he doesn't know the first thing about politics.

51 I asked an accountant to help me figure out whether a company would be ahead or behind if it had names on the books of employees they didn't have if they had the fake SSN, paid out the minimum withholding (27 dependents!) and took the tax write off for the wages. I figured a company could do that for three years before the garnishment notices for unpaid taxes for the non-existent employees showed up, and then you just pay out the 25% of net like demanded and oops, [ethnic name] is no longer employed, sorry no idea of where he went, bet he's gone to visit his parents. To make it more real the tax returns should be filed too

For a regular company I don't think it would pencil out, but for a labor contractor or a big yard service I think it would be the margin of bidding against the competitors who can't cut their labor costs and wouldn't get that write off for ghost employees.

He told me I was going to go to jail and wouldn't help men.

83 I needed some happy news after this long, painful year. Brother and his wife just introduced their new daughter, a healthy 7. 5 pounds and 20 inches long. Rachael. Our clan has robust babies. Her big brother weighed in at 9-plus when he was born. He's 2, but is bigger than a lot of 3 and even 4 year olds. But it's not fat. He's gonna be a big dude. We call him The Linebacker. Mom is in Helena to help brother's wife while she recuperates. Mom needs the distraction.

We're all gathering in Helena for Thanksgiving. I can't wait.

Around here the Mexican et als use the same SSN over and over until they start getting commercial or tax garnishments, then they pull another one and use a different version of their name and work for another company, your paving company is probably assigning numbers to workers, so they may be freshly arrived and go on to other work, or possibly there is human trafficking going on (it is for labor as well as sex workers)

Yeah I don't know. There is a claim that an inner monologue is a frequent thing for 30-50% of people but I really think that is bull shit, and its more likely that from interviews people's idea of what an internal monologue would be compared to what it actually is might make them say they don't have one.

Now, they only way to prove its vaccine related is if you have a control group.. ie a large number of people who didn't get this gene therapy shot.

I'll be brief first. It helped me immensely. c4 crushed onto c5 onto c6, crushing nerves on my left side badly enough to nearly kill them. Intense pain, muscle atrophy, loss of use of left arm.
The surgical team was fantastic, the surgery was a success, there were no complications and rehab went well.

The rest of the story:
I thank God for being alive in this technically advanced age, where this kind of surgery is not only possible but commonplace. I thank him for the surgeon, the ana...ane...gas man. To them and Him go the credit.

Suprises? Buy bendy straws. They move all the stuff at the front of your throat out of the way to gain access to be cervical spine from the front. That may take some time to heal, and swallowing may be hard.
Cuts in the front of your neck sever some superficial nerves that won't recover, get used to having a "dead zone" on your neck. 1/2

The cone of shame they make you wear is uncomfortable, but don't try to do anything without it for awhile.
Do you have a Lazy Boy? They are fantastic for sleeping the first week after surgery, when laying flat is out of the question. Beg or borrow one if you don't.
They'll tell you to go slow on getting back to doing things.
I probably compressed the timeline a little to no adverse reaction.
Do you know the difference between pain caused by damage and the discomfort of effort? If so, you'll know when to stop doing things, but don't let mere discomfort stop you from rehabbing, or living.

It was a life-restorer for me. I can't imagine (actually I can and it would suck) what it would be like to have to continue in my pre-surgical state.
Post-op actually take a whole year before you're cleared to resume your life as a rock-em sock-em robot.
Actually, that's one career you can write off.

Hope that helps.

Biden's openly on the take from China and Ukraine. His son is a pedo and a crack addict. Biden himself is probably a pedo seeing as the way he paws at children, and his son's behavior.

The only reason Biden stays in power is that most of the LIVs say something like, "If these things you tell me, you show me, were true the media would talk about it too" and obviously...the media doesn't.

So...many people have things over Biden. The real question is who the core members of the Junta are.

247 The inner monologue is kind of interesting.

I train people to bartend at one of my jobs. Part of the process of completing the training is to take a sort of stress test to ensure their knowledge wasn't just on paper, but rather that they could access it and produce drinks under pressure to simulate the work environment.

For the first couple of years, I simply called drinks at random and corrected them where there were mistakes. This was the protocol. Those that were smart performed well. Those that straddled grew frustrated and actually regressed.

So I started a new strategy after that. As I ran them through practice, I basically verbalized what would be going through my head as I prepared drinks and had them follow my thoughts. Almost immediately I noticed that trainees that would have almost assuredly failed in the past, began to grow efficient and excelled. I think a lot of people suffer from the inability to organize thoughts in a streamlined fashion and benefit from not just education, but rather the training if how to think your way through things, a mental flowchart or sorts.

I think I slept a total of twelve hours the four days we were there. I was dead broke on the long trip back the the FRG. Thanks for the insight. My pain isn't as severe as yours was but I've been in some pain for as long as I can remember. It mainly presents as a constant burning in my neck/shoulder region and in between my shoulder blades, mainly on the left. I have stenosis, bone spurs, herniated disc, etc. I finally went to the doctor this time because my left arm was going numb/heavy if I turned my head to the left or looked up. I tried steroid injections and the numbness stopped but now I have nerve pain in my wrist and palm of my hand... Went back to the neurosurgeon and he recommended the ACDF surgery. I'm not in a huge hurry, so im thinking about doing it in January and try to find out as much as I can so I ask the right questions.

Yeah, I had that pain and tingling and numbness for a while, but didn't know what to make of it. Put it down to aging or a bad heart.
My arms would tingle and get numb after about an hour on my bike, holding them out at that cruiser angle and not down like on a sport bike.
I thought it was poor circulation, but in retrospect there were signs that this was degenerative for a few years before collapse.
Slowly at first, then all at once.
One doc called what I had a triple crush, wherein you have carpal tunnel syndrome, some elbow thing involving the nerve in the funny bone, and the neck thing.
My neurosurgeon said we'll take care of the neck thing and wait a year before we look at the rest...

Over easy or scrambled
You say any way's the only way
And be careful not to gamble

And a ticket for gettin' outta here

And an old pair of shoes
And an open invitation to the blues

No.
Not because I wouldn't eat one like a starving dog. But because I'm rarely in the mood to get in an argument about how I won't be pulling up (off of the embedded timer) so they can get good numbers, while I wait.

"I'm sorry, we're waiting on the McRib, can you pull up?
No.
Panic ensues, as the timer ticks away, ruining the numbers.

There were a couple of pre-columbian cultures that were using querns, and did not cultivate cereal crops that needed milling, and for a short while there was a theory that the querns were used to process rats into paste that would be easier to be used.

Of course it turned out that they were using the querns to grind up other plant materials, and not to make rat pate.

419 There were a couple of pre-columbian cultures that were using querns, and did not cultivate cereal crops that needed milling, and for a short while there was a theory that the querns were used to process rats into paste that would be easier to be used.

Of course it turned out that they were using the querns to grind up other plant materials, and not to make rat pate.

If God is merciful, he is now about 10 years old, horsing around on the farm in Laramie with his brother Dan, making something dangerous in the barn or driving horses to mow the hay. He was the last of five siblings that grew up on that farm, then moved to Seattle during WWII and welded ships when he was 16. He still has his welders certificate from then. Went to school, because an engineer, built airports in the boonies up here, knew everybody and everybody knew him.

He may have been something of a bastard to me for reasons best left to his knowledge alone, but he could sure tell a story and he was always up to something. End of the era.

530 TCN, Condolences, of course.

But I'd be happy to honor the man anytime you'n me and such of your fambly as you want around, wanna sit and quaff drinks while you regale us with tales of his exploits and derring do. I mean this as a serious offer.

Growing up, I learned from my Grampa (a Banana Wars Marine), a San Diego Deputy Marshall, and one helluva lot from reading Louis L'Amour, and don't read him without also reading his biography. That man traveled the world in the times when travel was rough, dangerous and a safe return was the furthest thing from a guarantee.

And so, much of my life's story reads like a novel, and up through about '06, it damn near was. And then, I domesticated, and, well.. got older. But I'm not done yet. Far, far from it.

535 My dad came from a long line of people who did things. His grandpa was a gentleman farmer born in NY but moved to WY, opened his law firm, and proceeded to settle the issue of mineral rights in WY with the Supreme Court. His kids (seven of them) were told to get a degree (women too), prove up on a homestead, and then make a family. So they did. Except for Auntie Mim, who was definitely her own woman and, while she did get a degree, she was also the toast of several frat houses at Yale. She never had kids, but she did as she pleased, and people mostly let her.

My dad's dad served in the Marines, chased Pancho Villa around Mexico, and then shipped off to WWI, where he fought at Belleau Wood and Alsace Lorraine, getting mustard gassed, but pulling wounded and dead marines off no mans land under heavy fire. He was highly decorated but also spent a fair amount of time in the brig for drinking on duty.

537 My dad was one of five siblings, all of whom made something of themselves. One of my aunts was the DA in Olympia for many years, another was working in DC on 9/11 and walked 12 miles to get home that day, and she was no spring chicken at the time. Later that aunt because the crazy cat lady of Virginia and her kids had to come collect her and dispose of 200 feral cats and then put her in care.

My dad moved to Fairbanks after the Army, spent a couple of years there and then moved to nicer climate in Anchorage. He put a moose in the freezer every year, took us salmon fishing and taught us how to smoke 'em, turned over the huge veggie garden every year until he was 90 by hand. He also shoveled off the roof when it got heavy, even after his stroke when he lost most of his right side. He broke down and bought an electric chainsaw because it was easier to start with one hand.

This right there. Who ever invented "meat glue" was a real bastid, get right down to it. One of my favorite dishes to make is Beef Stew. Tough cuts of beef, slow simmered, it gives steak a run for its money in some ways. I never expected gourmet dining coming out of a can, but they long ago stopped using stew meat, actual you know, chunks of beef, in lieu of "chunked and formed" floor scraps.

So, he took up mountain running, lost 50 lbs, and still holds the 80 and over record for Mt. Marathon. He only quit that when he had his stroke, but even then he did about three miles a day, shuffling along in any weather.

He was never bored. And not often boring. He was happiest with a grandkid sitting on his lap and babbling about anything at all. He drank his coffee black and thick, and all day long. His idea of religion was to offer to take up a collection.

545 turned over the huge veggie garden every year until he was 90 by hand.

Years ago, about where the Grizzly stadium now stands at the University of Montana, there was kind of an inholding property grandfathered in. When he died, the property would go to the university or something like that. There was this old guy of indeterminate age, but he must have been ancient. Had this huge garden. He also wore a huge straw hat. But when he walked it was glacial. I couldn't believe anybody that walked that slow would bother. I wasn't laughing at him, just marvelling at his persistence. I'd see him all the time out there tending.

Dad didn't want a funeral. His friends are all dead already, and he just couldn't bother. He's going to be cremated and then we are going to deliver his ashes somewhere up the Moose River where he had his hunting camp. Or maybe just dump him in the ocean. Frankly, I'd turn him up in the garden but I'm not sure anybody is going to keep the house, so that's probably a no.

583 Hey Miklos, you okra-lover!

I wanted to share this awesome religious exemption letter for those who are being pestered by their employers. It's not really religious, other than a stated belief in God. But it's damn fine and doesn't include my go-to reason (fuck-you-that's-why).

588 More petechiae in the dead noticed by Dutch mortician
Posted by: Kindltot
Interesting article. Funny, not haha, you mention petechiae. I am reading Tom Clancys Executive Orders. Just now some terrorists are transporting an Ebola patient. They want to harvest her live blood and put it into some green monkeys. I suspect they are then going to unleash the green monkeys on the USA.
Anyway, that is another story, the relevant bit, is that people dying of Ebola, in the book, have petechiae.

Up a little earlier than I planned, but that's kay; coffee helps. I'll go work out and get through the day. My plan is to submit my religious exemption statement today. No telling how long it will take to get the decision back. I'm prepared to argue my case -- and to let them fire me, if that's what it takes.

If it's approved and no other axe falls between now and Jan. 1, I think I'll take me a little road trip back to Alabama right after Xmas: Birmingham, Huntsville, maybe Anniston. Like all of us this year and last, I think I've earned some fun.

611 Speaking of salsa, I need to buy some, perhaps the not-inexpensive red chile from Taos that I can get in jars at the local grocery chain. The microwaveable chimichangas I've been having as part of my dinner lately are good, but they are hardly red-hot beef as the packet says.

I have the real hot green chiles from the Taos company, but they are very hot. A little of them, say in your eggs, goes a long way.

Morning to you, JQ,

Chekov is about the same. He seems a little less excited about eating, and we may have to start giving him that appetite stimulant liquid every day again. The two vets who've seen him seemed unable to find out what could be wrong with him. Is it possible that he has irritable bowel syndrome? Does that result in diarrhea? Because he (thankfully) does not have that right now.

If it doesn't, could it be that IBS just gives him pain and discomfort, and that's why he's moving like an old codger?

There are excellent points in that. But somehow I don't think it touches on the *religious* issues. It focuses much more on the scientific and authority issues with this whole scam. If my first attempt is turned down, I will bring up some of those elements in my subsequent rejoinders.

Those operate on different wavelengths. The fe'ral gubmint can outlaw one of God's plants (or several of them), but it cannot force the states to enforce that law. Mandating employers mandate medical stuff is different. That doesn't require the state to do anything.
