The Morning Report - 10/5/21

partprocess.jpg

Good morning, kids. Tuesday and as we descend into an ever deepening and darkening dystopian nightmare, the chant of "Fuck Joe Biden" is rapidly becoming a national cri de coeur. A big reason is the reaction against the insanity of being forced to get injected with an at best minimally effective and at worst lethal chemical cocktail to combat a virus that was easily treated with cheap therapeutics ("was" since by now, Classic Chinese COVID has all but disappeared and mutated out of the environment). I'm only scratching the surface because Anthony Fauci, a twisted, megalomaniacal, malignant, rodentine dwarf who spent decades actually spreading disease and death while making money hand over fist via the pharmaceutical industry championing little more than very expensive snake oil, is placed on a pedestal as a demigod healer. And woe to anyone who dares question him, his motives and his record.

There's also the invasion from south of the border, and really from every rotten corner of the globe via land, sea and air now, with hundreds of thousands of third world dregs including a number of enthusiastic practitioners of "The Religion of Peace," the attempted final assault on whatever freedom and wealth we have left via these multi-trillion dollar bills and the disastrous and intentional handing over of Afghanistan to the Chi-Com/Islamikaze Axis and all the other depredations against us that make the refrain of "Let's Go Brandon!" warm the cockles of your heart. That said, they either fall on deaf ears or only make our overlords tighten the screws. Here's one example that I do not want to get lost in the sauce.

. . . when parents are horrified by what public schools are teaching their children -- Whites are inferior, kids can magically change sex, and masks forever -- that's a different story. On September 29, the NSBA wrote to Joe Biden begging for federal protection for school board members.

The letter alleges "the growing number of threats of violence and acts of intimidation occurring across the nation," beyond local police departments' abilities. However, John Hinderaker took the time to follow-up on the news stories the NSBA cited to justify its plea for the FBI and those allegations seem overwrought:

While the NSBA letter footnotes a number of news stories in support of its request, few of them document actual violence at school board meetings. There is this statement in a report on the famous Loudon County school board encounter: "A third person received a minor injury, officials said, without releasing details." And in Mendon, Illinois, "school officials attempted to escort Felde out of the meeting when he struck one of them before leaving the school." It doesn't sound like a national wave of violence that is too severe for local authorities to handle.

Nevertheless, for the NSBA, these were "heinous actions [that] could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes." Those are magic words. Suddenly, parents who oppose a hard-left agenda are "White Supremacists," who are "insurrecting." They've just been "otherized."

As you may recall from 2016, Obama and the Democrat party promised us that Merrick Garland, now the US Attorney General, was a "moderate." That's untrue. All you need to know is that it's Garland's DOJ, of which the FBI is just a subset, that is keeping people who protested at the Capitol on January 6 in solitary confinement under terrible conditions, arresting and abusing people who had done nothing wrong, and probably played a very large role in the January 6 protest. (Go to Julie Kelly's page at American Greatness, to see myriad articles detailing what Garland's DOJ is doing.)

Therefore, it's no surprise that Garland, upon hearing parents referred to as "domestic terrorists" committing "hate crimes," promptly agreed that the FBI should indeed crack down on things that are perfectly within the capabilities of local police departments. Oozing sympathy, he wrote that "there has been a disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against" people "who participate in the vital work of running our nation's public schools . . . In the coming days, the Department will announce a series of measures designed to address the rise in criminal conduct directed toward school personnel."

Sundance, at The Conservative Treehouse, sums up perfectly what's going on here:

The goal is to label dissident parents, non-conforming free range citizens, as "Domestic Terrorists." The FBI will use the assembly of Big Tech social monitors to identify the targets for investigation. If parents do not want to see their child forced to wear a mask or have a needle injected into their arm while being told their skin color makes them less worthy of life, that person will become a target of the federal police.

In California, inquiries about homeschooling skyrocketed after Newsom's [Chinese] COVID vaccination mandate. I'm betting that the threat of having the FBI show up on a parent's doorstep because that parent dared challenge Critical Race Theory will have a whole lot of other parents across America pulling their kids out of FBI-supervised leftist school districts.

Well, how long before the Junta deems that keeping children out of public schools is a crime akin to or even statutory child abuse? One of the central tenets of Marxism is the destruction of the family. Everything they have done here and abroad both from a legal/political and structural standpoint has had the aim of weakening or destroying the family. Along with G-d, of course. Because once you get those out of the way THE STATE becomes parent and of course G-d.

But I digress. This Merrick Garland cancer is just another Globalist technocrat in service of dismantling America and serving it up on a platter to the Greater Xi Asian COVID Prosperity Sphere and the UN. Julie Kelly indeed has been doing outstanding real journalism in chronicling the souls rotting away in the Garland Archipelago for having the gall to object to the 2020 election being stolen and the nation overthrown, their petty misdemeanor of being duped into trespassing into the Capitol notwithstanding.

So, these people are demonized and are about to be railroaded into prison on trumped-up charges as having committed a crime worse than 9/11, the Civil War and the Holocaust combined. Yet when actual Nazi collaborator George Soros' bought and paid for thugs accost Kyrsten Sinema in a Senate toilet, Joe Towelette Biden dismissed it as "part of the process." Yeah, part of the process of political terrorism and intimidation. Now evidently, Sinema is being harassed everywhere she goes. Frankly, I'm at a point where we have got to start fighting fire with fire with these goons. They try to swarm Sinema or whoever, then we should be there with twice the number to intercede. Peacefully. Of course Reichsleiter Garland will have us arrested for insurrection, right?

One day, the chorus of "Fuck Joe Biden" is going to be akin to sticking your head into a jet airplane exhaust (or a Marshall amp at a circa '73 Deep Purple concert). And it won't be just aimed at that decrepit, demented asshole.

For me, Fuck Joe Biden = FUCK YOU, WAR. It had better be.

Sorry Judge Merrick Garland didn't get day in the sun he deserves today, but he's superb choice to be AG. He was as good as it gets as top DOJ official in 90s: smart, committed, patriotic, terrific lawyer, and gentleman. We'll disagree on some policy, but DOJ in good hands.

12 After listening to Fauci over the past year and a half, it's hard to understand how anyone views him as credible. Just last week when someone asked him about whether people with natural immunity need vaccinations, he acted like he had not even considered the idea before. A year and a half in while vaccine mandates make so such exemption. He knew this backward and forward (there is no justification for requiring vaccines for those who had covid), but rather than acknowledge the obvious, he danced around the question.

If the things we have seen - harsh words, shouting matches, disruptions, the occasional scuffle and an extremely large uptick in paperwork - are the extent of what they're dealing with, they should consider themselves the luckiest people on earth.

They're deliberately stealing, corrupting and subverting people's children. They are not doing this by accident or through being misguided, but by design in the pursuit of evil. It is astounding to me that they're not being murdered indiscriminately. 45 From the Paper by Saule Omarova:

At the same time, allowing private banks to continue accepting deposits in competition with the central bank potentially creates significant problems from the perspective of systemic stability.
Universal availability of fully sovereign digital money will make it much easier for all bank depositors to run to safety in real time, thus taking the classic bank run problem to the next level.
Furthermore, private banks particularly, large ones nestled inside diversified financial conglomerates will have strong incentives to offer depositors not only higher interest rates on their accounts but also a
broader suite of high-risk, high-return financial products.

THIS IS SOME SCARY SHIT!

That sure doesn't help any. But there's also the decriminalization of crime. What they're doing with things like not enforcing trespassing, not enforcing shoplifting, not enforcing vagrancy, not enforcing simple assault, etc. is the exact opposite of "broken windows" police theory. In broken windows theory, you stop petty crime and thus disrupt the pipeline to serious crime. It has worked where it has been tried. In the opposite, there are no consequences unless you commit serious crime, and even then they have to catch you. So why not go for it? Get your practice in and then go hard.

So. Private banks compete with the central bank (they don't - that's a lie) and offer a competitive interest rate environment. The goal of digitizing the currency altogether doesn't mesh well with that because it makes movement too fast and easy and can cause bank runs to worsen. Therefore, to get to a digital currency, all banks must be merged into the Fed and controlled top-down at every level down to the ATM on the street. For our own good. To reduce risk and increase safety.

What a totalitarian prick.

My rule is: Bill Clinton is a psychopath, Hillary Clinton is a sociopath.

Fauci dopes sociopath, the problem is that psychopaths win over the hearts and minds of weak people, especially women. There are a LOT of women who want to bear Fauci's children, that add data points to the psycho.

Why bother? I mean that seriously. If they're going to do this, why not just revert to Dewey's "progressive education" and not grade or measure at all? This change will be meaningless. I have personal experience in this.

At one of my elementary schools, we had a newfangled grading system that replaced the five-point (A-D; F) scale. It was three points: E (excellent), S (satisfactory) and N (Needs improvement). It made no different. All it did was cheaper the "A" by blending it with "B." "S" was still a "C" and "N" handled the bottom. It rearranged the deck chairs but did nothing, and we all knew what it meant.

At my last elementary school, it was a progressive experimental "school" (the one I got kicked out of) and it had no grades or testing at all other than the state-mandated Iowa test. I could watch another kid read or do arithmetic and then guess with shocking accuracy how long they had been there. The ones who came in during Kindergarten or first grade were illiterate and innumerate. The earlier the entered, the worse. No achievement at all without grades and assessment.

95 Minnesota School Removes 'F' Grade and Allows Retests to Combat "Systemic Racism"
______________

So sick of this crap. Failing is not the result of "systemic racism" which doesn't actually exist in our schools (except against whites and Asians).

Years ago there was a lawsuit against a municipality in the northeast, alleging "systemic racism" was the cause of blacks failing a written firefighter test at much higher rates than white applicants. The test questioned applicants about their knowledge of firefighting techniques, accelerants, burn rates, burn patterns, etc., -- IOW, science.

As a result of the lawsuit, the test was re-written to make it less "racist" (i.e. dumbed down), the black applicants who had failed were given firefighting jobs anyway, and lots of money was paid out by taxpayers.

A data analysis group decided to conduct a survey to find out what accounted for the difference in white and black pass rates on the test. They compiled a survey questionnaire that asked applicants to detail how they had prepared to take the firefighter test. Turned out that the whites spent more more than 3X as much time studying for the test as the blacks did.

They could get any leftist stooge in there. When elections no longer matter, and let's face it, by 2024, there isn't going to be anything left of America as we know it, I assume she'd get 1 term (if Noodle Brain hangs on for a while longer), then they just shuffle in with another communist to run in '28. The whole idea of a free environment in which to pursue "self-directed learning" (e.g., to allow autodidacts to thrive) might - maybe - work for a small population of high school aged kids. At that time, you're mature enough to pursue it if that's your thing. It is an unmitigated disaster for younger children and even for the older kids it requires guidance and influence from teachers because left to their own devices (speaking for myself, anyway), even the older kids who are inclined toward success in such a system will focus obsessively on the things that interest them and let everything else die on the vine. Even for the older kids, the model as envisioned doesn't work and if the model were tweaked to make it work, it would only work for the minority of kids who are autodidacts. As a general-purpose schooling concept, it's a nightmare.

I'm betting that the threat of having the FBI show up on a parent's doorstep because that parent dared challenge Critical Race Theory will have a whole lot of other parents across America pulling their kids out of FBI-supervised leftist school districts."

Every school district has something called 'Count Day'. This is the day that districts do a count of the number of kids in their schools, for the fall and spring semesters. The number of students in school for that day determines funding for the district. If parents were to pull their kids out for homeschooling, the schools lose funding for that student for the year. If parents who don't homeschool wanted to be sneaky, they could pull students out before Count Day, then re-enroll them afterwards.

This is one tangible way that parents could 'strike', and hit these districts where it hurts.

I think it was earlier. I've been giving this a rethink. We're not only not a republic, we haven't been for a long time. We're in our late-stage empire now, and the Republic died before most of us were born. I'm starting to come around to something like this, approximately. I am not convinced of any of it yet:
1. The First Republic: Revolution through Articles of Confederation
2. The Second Republic: Constitution through the War Between the States.
3. The Third Republic: War Between the States through WWII.
4. Early Empire: WWII through 1970

A good film, but it is full of toxic masculinity.

But that's not the real problem. The real problem is that ATT has decreed that Warner products will go on HBO Max as well as the theaters. BUT ONLY FOR THE FIRST 31 DAYS. Because reasons. Obviously this is dumb, and eats into the theater market during the crucial opening weeks without any corresponding drive to subscriptions.

When HBO Max launched they said get it and Wonder Woman 84 is included! Now what?

You would think at some point people would realize it is not a money problem. Real sending per student has tripled over the past 40 years with ever worse results, yet there is always some metric that show we don't spend enough, which is BS. However, I think it was a smart one year(?) move for HBOMax. Esp. As a try to reach big daddy stats in streaming before the inevitable collapse and buy outs that will be coming in the near future. Right now, Netflix is the only one I'd bet on surviving the crush.

That said, I suspect that policy will disappear early in 2022. And then I'll drop HBOMax pretty much instantly.

Right, this is the core problem. If you get the 'Rona, you run a risk - small but very real - of a serious case. If you get a serious case, you run a risk - small but very real - of death. That sucks bigly.

If you get the shot, you run a risk - small (as far as we know at this moment) but very real - of serious complications. Each time you get that shot, you run the risk again. Every time. If you're young and strong/healthy, then your risks from the known side effects of the shots exceeds your risks from the 'Rona from moment zero. If your reasonably healthy at middle age and are facing the prospect of 2-3 boosters every year, your risks from the shots will exceed your 'Rona risk fairly quickly - within a year or two.

5. Middle Empire: 1971-2017
6. Late Empire: 2017-present

I would back up the Early Empire to Middle back to the early 1960s. There was a tremendous amount of social upheaval. Additionally, JFK won through massive vote fraud, was murdered, and replaced by what would be a series of post turtles until the Reagan Anomaly which was similar to the Trump Anomaly. Neither was supposed to happen though the public was ripe for the change.

The Middle Empire I think ran until the Deep State completely took over everything which happened approximate to Reagan's second term.

There is no republic. There is a regulatory state, backed up by a judiciary for all of the ad hoc laws. The executive and legislative have blended into a huge grifting machine for the multi-trillion dollar international slush fund.

AT&T demanded it because they wanted a cash cow in HBO Max, thinking that they were ready to get a money making machine. A year later, they're trying to sell Warner Brothers because it's just not the massive money maker they wanted it to be.

Streaming is a paper tiger, backed up by massive amounts of debt. It's a chase for content, but you can't really charge per content, or at least no one is really doing that outside of Amazon Video (who are also trying the streaming thing with Prime). All except Netflix are backed by other larger corporations that are keeping the streaming options afloat with the promise of becoming king of streaming. It's honestly just not working out.

Not that it wasn't a lost cause to begin with, but CA just went to universal mail-in voting. I foresee other D governors and legislatures doing the same while they have the ability. There's no end to the cheating. What's anybody going to do??? Film crews of people moving boxes of ballots at 2am? Project Veritas getting a whitleblower here or there? Pockets of right-leaning websites detailing point-by-point the irregularities? Testimony from 100s of people as to the same irregularities? The point here is that nobody did anything about all of that last year. Not the state legislatures, not even the flipping Supreme Court of the United Flipping States. They will not stop. And nobody that has any power to stop them will do so. Yeah, forgive me. I'd love to be wrong. It's going to take a miracle to restore our elections.

Yes, precisely. That's "investor credulity." The stock price and market capitalization act as collateral of sorts against their shocking pile of debt. Eventually, a bond investor is going to demand a risk-compensated return and that will crash the stock - or the stock declines too much and forces bond investors to demand better covenants. The specific trigger can be in either space, but when it eventually happens, the bloodletting will be fairly extreme.

Eh.

It was a board chasing easy .com (yeah, I know, that's an old nomenclature) money with a huge physical infrastructure company. They spend BILLIONS on putting more and more fiber and buying more and more bandwidth and their stock price kept declining. While Netflix and Amazon and Disney were darlings for their vertically integrated streaming services, and ATT wanted that bump. Except they had no idea how to do it. Ma Bell (again, old nomenclature) just isn't a "creative" company.

256 How much time does it take to call a civil rights lawyer? Studying is for chumps.
_____________

That's the lesson of these stupid court rulings and idiotic school board decisions that insist that "systemic racism" is why blacks fail.

The real reason they fail is because they don't put in the effort to succeed. At least, not in academic pursuits. When it comes to something like basketball, they'll put many hours of effort each week into improving those skills. But they're taught that studying and showing up in class and listening are "white" behaviors. Even the friggin' Smithsonian is parroting that racist bullshit now, putting out charts saying that behaviors like initiative and determination and hard work and self-reliance are "white" traits.

And blacks are happy to go along with it. Why work hard when you don't have to? They can get the same rewards (or better) as whites, just by screaming "systemic racism."

Season 1 had 4 episodes -- Dirty Dancing, Home Alone, Ghostbusters, Die Hard. We watched a few from Season 2 - Back to the Future and Pretty Woman. Worth checking out.

267 I really liked the article from "The Federalist" on going to church (Of course, I'm biased) and I am inspired that that young man, Mr. Feucht, has worship rallies around the country in troubled cities. However, the older folks in churches are dying off and their kids or grandkids say that they don't believe in God, they believe in "science" or they worship on their own (I don't necessarily believe all them, but that's what they say) or the grandchildren want bands and big screens and projections. However, if the church dies something will take its place; I expect it will be Islam; They have some young energy behind them. It may be hateful, exclusive energy of radical Islam but it's energy and group commitment and unlike many modern churches that are progressivism with a little dab of Jesus thrown in, Muslims actually believe in something.

An yes, I expect the persecution will get worse. The church is a soft target.

First is an analysis of CMS data. Basically, everyone over 65 is on Medicare, and thus CMS has all the medical data on them. Makes a damn good cohort to tell you what the jabs are doing, etc. It shows just how public health authorities are lying through their teeth. They're telling us one thing while their own damn data is saying the opposite.

Second, another study shows absolutely no correlation at the country level between vaccination and infection rates. Also, same thing at the county level in the United States.

The Warner Bros catalog is tremendous, and that part of the ATT/TW strategy sounds great on paper. They have a LOT of content. A lot of quality content. Well loved movies.

But the way they promote that and give access to it, well, sucks. Their streaming crew is a bunch of younger people who don't appreciate the richness of the catalog and only go with what is #trending. So that huge volume of stuff is hidden in the interface.

The magic number is probably $20 per month. $50 if it includes live TV. What fits in there, you do. This is going to lead to - if it hasn't already - mercenary behavior by customers. Take my scenario. I pay under $35/month. I have a live TV service without sports or news ($21), my service that streams Oriental shows ($8.33) and OAN ($2.50). That's where I am, and I am unwilling to spend more. So if I wanted, say, Disney+, then I'd cancel the Oriental service to make room. When I tired of Disney+ or wanted something else, I would cancel it - say, to add Netflix.

I suspect a lot of people will start subscribing for 2-3 months, consume what they want, cancel, get something else, and repeat the process. Maybe get Netflix, for example, for three months every 18. Something like that.

Most of the founders were Protestant, very WASPy. USA was distinct in setting God above King or Pope, in governing at least. Land of Opportunity is not the same as Land of Free Shit. ========

The supposed connection is that a library keeps customers but new content attracts new customers. That gets real expensive from the production point of view real fast because movies are inefficient beasts to produce. The kind of stuff that gets traction (outside of the random smaller stuff that blows up for an afternoon before being forgotten almost immediately) are massive things meant to be spectacles like The Tomorrow War.

These providers need to be producing at least a dozen of these things a year, along with a hundred other smaller things, hoping that some of it attracts enough customers to buoy the streaming channel as a whole for another month. The accounting on all this has got to be a nightmare.

Again, yes. And this would theoretically make WB a good bet because that is the business that they are in. Netflix and Amazon aren't really production houses they are just buying content and putting their label on it. (yes, some few productions are actually funded from the get go by those guys, but that's way more the exception than the rule.)

But it is also why what seems like a good idea on paper is not - for ATT to turn new productions into new subs they have to cannibalize theater showings. Blockbusters which have that power then suffer the "disappointing" BO numbers that kill their blockbuster-ness.

The new Dune movie is going to be on HBO Max opening day and I will be watching it. But I know that it threatens the sequel.

Conservatism is dead.

Who would stand athwart history and shout "Stop" at this moment in time? America today is a dystopia.

The ruling class has pilfered the wealth and productivity of three generations of workers, financialized it into securities, and sold it to the globe. Now the factories and infrastructure of the country decay, and with them go our productive capacities. As productivity declines, purchasing power declines, so more currency is printed for billionaires. Productive wages languish while financial wealth soars. The hyperinflation of our currency spells doom for our consumption. "You will own nothing," and you will not be happy. (Cont...)

Not to buoy anything the meat puppet says but the GOP has had control of the purse strings for 20 of the last 28 years so, if the GOP wanted to control spending they could have controlled spending.
