Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | An Investigation In Search Of A Crime As FEC Targets The Democrats’ Political EnemiesPopulist House Republicans Lauren Boebert and Marjorie Taylor Greene are being investigated by the Federal Election Commission. Unsurprisingly, prominent House Democrats are not being investigated. In the case of Marjorie Taylor Greene, she is being targeted by the Federal Election Commission in an investigation in search of a crime. There are no allegations of wrongdoing. Of course, we all know what her “crime” is – being a deplorable who is taking on the Washington establishment. Meanwhile, Rashida Tlaib actually had to repay $10,800 of improperly used campaign funds, but the FEC has not investigated her. Rep. Greene is loathed by Democrats, the media, the Deep State, the Republican establishment, and many actual conservative voters. Love her or hate her, it is inexcusable for the government to target her for harassment simply because she is a thorn in their side. Federal Election Commission asks Marjorie Taylor Greene to explain more than $3.5 million in small-donor contributionsThe Federal Election Commission has asked U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for more information about more than $3.5 million in contributions to her re-election campaign. According to the filings, the Greene campaign received $2.6 million in unitemized donations from undisclosed donors from January to March. Another $967,000 in unitemized donations from undisclosed donors was received from April to June.Wow. Sounds shady. Good things she’s being investigated. Oh wait… Candidates are not legally required to itemize donations or disclose the identity of their donors for contributions that total less than $200 during an election cycle. So then, if that $3.5 million was received in donations that were individually under $200, there is nothing amiss. To comply with federal rules related to campaign contributions, Greene's team must either provide the necessary information about each donor or show that the money came from about 17,628 donors contributing no more than $200 each. And just what is this “necessary information” that Greene’s campaign must provide to the FEC? Itemizations must detail the full name of the donor, the donor's mailing address and ZIP code, the donor's employer information, the date of the donation, the election designation and an accurate, cycle-to-date amount of contributions made by the donor.Gosh, MTG’s deep state enemies are going to get their hands on a list of her political contributors, and their employers. Now that certainly isn’t an invitation for any governmental misbehavior, is it? I’m sure Lois Lerner is the only federal bureaucrat who would ever use a government agency to target conservatives. [“IRS Apologizes For Targeting Conservative Groups” USA Today; May 2013] Remember, although there is no allegation of wrongdoing, MTG is still being punished. The process is the punishment. Finding an actual crime, or compelling one through entrapment or contradictory statements, would just be gravy for the Feds. Greene, who represents Georgia's 14th congressional district, has until Oct. 12 to respond to the filings and provide clarification about the more than $3.5 million in donations, with no option to request an extension of time. Failure to respond in a timely manner could, according to the filings, result in an audit or enforcement action.Oh. So in five weeks time, MTG must produce records on 17,628 small donors. Failure to do so will be met with punishment. And for those who contributed more than $200, the entire Federal government will know who to harass with IRS audits and other forms of political oppression. What about the left-wing celebrities in Congress? How has AOC done in small-donor fund raising? Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has been a leader in small-dollar fundraising since her first election in 2018. The progressive Democrat took in slightly less money than Greene — clocking in at $2.8 million overall, but nearly all of that ($2.3 million) came from small dollar donations.Yet the FEC is not investigating AOC nor putting her campaign through the ordeal that it’s inflicting upon Rep. Greene. Is it just a conspiracy theory to think that the FEC’s harassment of MTG is politically motivated? No, it’s not. The Democrats have been quite open about their intentions to inflict FEC harassment on their political enemies: Democrats Aim to Revive A Campaign Finance Watchdog (NY Times - April 2021) Laws that are applicable to only one political faction are not actually laws, they’re weapons. Investigations in search of a crime are oppression. This is what banana republics do. (buck.throckmorton at protonmail dot com) Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

willowed ... This vaccine expert gives one of the better explanations I've heard. He notes (as did Malone) that we never vaccinate into the middle of a pandemic, because as the vaccine wanes, there are many new targets (people) that will be exposed to the resistant variants ... so we are "chasing" (as he puts it) the new variants, but can never keep up (in a pandemic).

Posted by: SMOD at September 17, 2021 12:27 PM (RHGPo) I'm not sure that this is as big a deal as it initially sounds like. It's long been known that the Fed has been buying massive amounts of ETFs that hold corporate bonds as COVID stimulus, for instance. I also can't imagine that if the Fed is buying municipal bonds, that they would be targeting their buying to help out Fed members. If anything, their buying would be helping out the municipalities themselves even more. They need all the help they can get in financing their activities - some of which are probably boondoggles. Besides, if Fed members are buying investment grade corporate bonds for their portfolios, it's not like you're looking to make 5-10x on the investment. This is when actually RICH liberals began getting elected as conservatives.
