The Morning Report - 9/15/21

newsmchtsbts.jpg

Good morning, kids. Wednesday and a quote attributed to the great 18th century British writer Samuel Johnson comes to mind in the wake of Gavin Newsom's recall. Upon hearing of a widower about to be remarried soon after the death of his first wife to whom he had been unhappily wed, Johnson remarked that it was "the triumph of hope over experience." On the face of it, Newsom is projected to have beat the recall effort handily. Yet, all things considered and in my opinion he "cheated the beat."

Sour grapes? After everything we witnessed last November 3rd and in the run up to that horrible day, I am never going to look at any election ever again and blindly assume it's even minimally fair, honest and above board. Especially in any city or state controlled by the Left. In fact, it is axiomatic that the longer and deeper a government is controlled by Democrats/Leftists, the more likely that an election will be rigged in their favor, regardless of the size of the majority they have. Here's the most irritating observation I've seen so far from A.J. Kaufman at PJ Media:

Gov. Gavin Newson survived a feisty California recall election Tuesday night the only way he could: by stoking fear, vilifying opponents, and adding in some bigotry.

Having piloted a failing state into the ground, Newsom could not run on his record, so he and his acolytes simply attacked Republican frontrunner Larry Elder and former President Donald Trump.

Absolutely true. But here's where old A.J. goes off the rails.

Trump gave Democrats an opening when he claimed Monday, "Does anybody really believe the California Recall Election isn't rigged? Millions and millions of Mail-In Ballots will make this just another giant Election Scam, no different, but less blatant, than the 2020 Presidential Election Scam!"

Much like when Democrats won two crucial Georgia U.S. Senate elections in January, Newsom appeared thrilled that Trump inserted himself into the race, as liberals believe the former president keeps suburban moderates in their tent, especially in California.

Oh please, give me a freaking break. Considering Georgia was one of the epicenters of the fraud that installed Biden in the White House, especially with the collusion after the fact of the state's Republican governor, secretary of state and legislature, to then claim those two senate seats were won fair and square in the runoffs also because OrangeManBad was fighting for his life and perhaps the life of whatever vestige of the nation remained, is an insult. As for California, despite having a 2-1 margin or more of Dems to GOPer voters - more than likely including untold thousands of illegal aliens - I think that the 2020 presidential race was a lot closer than reported. We'll never know, of course but localized corruption went national that year in the wake of the Beijing Breathing Blight COVID-19 psy-op.

Yes, gentle reader. It's deja vu all over again. Mail-in voting, which even banana republics and the UN reject as crucial for election theft, in a virtually top-to-bottom Democrat-controlled state that has devolved over the past 20 years into a de-facto banana republic, made Newsom's "win" pre-ordained. By the way, a commenter (maybe a troll, maybe not) dropped a little note yesterday after we had moved on to the Art Thread in which he/she/it was affronted by my referring to California as Tijada on the Pacific.

An easy example of how little sense you make, "...the sleazy, pompous, brilliantine criminal dictator of what is arguably now a third world Latin American banana republic will more than likely retain his stranglehold on what once was the Golden State."

If California were an independent country it would be the fifth-largest economy in the world, by definition a 1st world country. OTOH, West Virginia would be the 110th economy between Guatemala and Syria(!).

As I replied...

"WAS the 6th largest economy. Importing third world replacement serfs while the tax base flees is not a recipe for long term growth. And comparing what WAS the Golden State to W VA is apples and oranges. California is on the road to ruin. When a handful of [insanely] wealthy residents lord over a nearly vanished middle class and a majority of people at or near the poverty line, that is a third world banana republic by any definition of the term. Want a real comparison? Here: California and Venezuela. Look at the history of the latter, especially everything [that has transpired] since the installation of Hugo Chavez and Nicolas Maduro. You are heading there at warp speed, and dragging us down with it.

Add to this the fact that Newsom will now double, triple and quadruple down on his "emergency" edicts, be it for Chinese COVID vaccines or anything else he can dream up in the name of "safety," meaning the safety of his and his party's perpetual hold on power, he's going to do it. If nothing else, that right there is dictionary definition banana republicanism. And as we all know, as goes California eventually so goes the nation.

Meh, I've spent more time on this than I wanted to but I guess it means there was more to say than I had thought. Newsom surviving in no way shape or form IMHO reflects on the discontent of a growing segment of the citizenry there and across the nation. Elections do have consequences, rigged or otherwise. The vaccine mandates, which is Biden's handlers' attempt to distract and bury the greatest disaster in American foreign policy history, which will have ramifications for us and the free world for decades to come if not a century or more, are backfiring on him and anyone who supports them. If that is the spark that somehow awakens and unites disparate people, even for a short while, against this tyranny, then so be it.

According to a Twitter feed from Leeroy Johnson, a group of MAGA and BLM activists joined together to demonstrate outside the Manhattan home of New York State Assembly member Linda Rosenthal, who is sponsoring a bill to make Covid vaccinations mandatory. Johnson identified himself as an "independent photographer" and says that he takes no sides.

Here is his tweet with film of the smallish demonstrations, followed by MAGA and BLM activists identifying themselves and speaking of their joint effort:

Black Lives Matter and MAGA activists team up in solidarity and are both upset about the mandatory vaccine bill NY state legislator Linda Rosenthal put in. Protesters were outside Linda's home yelling NO FORCED VACCINE

Filmed and owned by Leeroy Johnson
#CovidVaccine #blm #MAGA

. . . I don't think there is much that Dems can do to assuage the suspicions of many Blacks, rooted as they are in bitter history. But they have also committed themselves to forcing vaxes on the public -- and demonizing Republicans, Trump voters, and Fox News viewers. If they keep on pushing that line, they risk driving some African Americans toward checking out the very groups the Dems want to demonize.

Politics does indeed make for strange bedfellows, perhaps none stranger than this. That or it's a VERY wide mattress. Considering BLM is a Marxist front group, hell not even a front group but openly avowed Marxist, I don't expect this marriage to last, or that it's even no more than an anecdotal incident. But that said, the fact that it did happen should not be discounted out of hand. The key is somehow finding the supertanker filled with 100 octane aviation fuel to put on this spark and the other little sparks just like this that have got to be out there.

Meanwhile, there's this abomination that would have otherwise been lost in the sauce, that just jumped out and kicked me in the teeth:

Sidhartha Kumar Mathur, 35, of West Friendship, Maryland, threatened to kill GOP Rep. Andy Harris and his family. His punishment? Mathur will be spending the next eight weekends in jail. That's 16 weekend days for threatening to kill a member of Congress. He will conveniently be done in time for Thanksgiving. Then Mathur has to stay home for six months. He must do 100 hours of community service and will be on probation for two years. In December 2020, Rep. Harris, who represents Maryland's Eastern Shore, was one of 126 House Republicans who supported the Texas lawsuit that sought to overturn President Biden's election victory. The Supreme Court later rejected the lawsuit.

Mathur didn't approve of Harris' involvement in the lawsuit and let his congressman know.

"I know where you and your family lives. You will be ended," Mathur wrote to Harris via the congressman's website. He wrote that Harris is an "animal that needs to be tortured and skinned alive."

Two minutes after sending the message, Mathur left a voicemail at Harris' Maryland office in which he threatened to slit the congressman's throat and kill his family "if you even mess with my vote," prosecutors stated. . .

. . . We can only wonder what would happen if a white guy in a MAGA hat threatened to skin AOC, slit her throat, and slaughter her family.

Mathur's simple sentence was handed down by Judge Richard D. Bennet, a Republican appointed by George W. Bush.

The sentence was announced by Acting United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Jonathan F. Lenzner and Chief Tom Manger of the United States Capitol Police.

The same Capitol Police keeping Trump supporters in solitary confinement? Hmm...

Mathur was also caught lying to federal investigators and still got a lenient sentence. Gen. Flynn was busted for "lying" to the feds, and Robert Mueller wanted Flynn sent to prison for it.

But California, hell America, isn't a banana republic, and Trump inserted himself into elections and lost them for us. And he also said "pussy!" Well, at least no more mean Tweets, right A.J. Kaufman?

++++
I think I disagree with your axiom. The time factor is probably less important than it looks. They start this the moment they take power with no need to let it bake. It took time to develop the methods and rationalizations for the methods, but now that they exist they move immediately. In my old state of Colorado, they pushed out vote-by-mail the moment they had their first majority in this century - and in so doing, they cemented the state as a permanent stronghold by enabling constant fraud.

The axiom is more accurately "the moment the government is controlled Democrats/Leftists, elections will be rigged in their favor, regardless of the size of the majority they have."

74 Good morning, JJ and Happy Birthday.

Glad you brought up that travesty of "justice" about the guy who threatened Andy Harris. I live in Andy Harris' district. Ours is the last surviving MD district that retained a Republican member of Congress. There was an egregious gerrymandering of districts completed in the last decade. Even the WaPo published articles about that.

Something caught my eye in the blurb you excerpted -- "Rep. Harris, who represents Maryland's Eastern Shore". While this is not incorrect, it minimizes the size and location of MD District 1 -- which covers a larger land area of the state (in square miles) than any of the other 9 districts. And the District is not JUST the Eastern Shore, as the blurb leads a reader to believe. The District includes portions of Carroll, Baltimore, and Harford Counties -- not on the Eastern Shore.

Maybe not a big deal to most folks. But it seems sloppy at best - but more likely misleading (IMHO).

76 People need to really think about whether we want to fight The Trump Wars again. You just got a little bit of a taste as to what that will be like. I have no doubt there was fraud with the mass mailing of ballots in California. That is the primary outcome of such a process. But do we want to focus on issues that unite a fair degree of the electorate, or circus distractions under the big top? The smart move is to fight election fraud UP FRONT and leave most of that to minions while the candidate focuses on the issues. Trump thus far seems incapable of that, and it's a recipe for electoral disaster. It seems to me a lot of people including Trump and the GOP haven't learned a thing.

Unless you understand that there are two sides to the equation. The mass migration out of California consists of both progressives and normals, but the progressives - especially from the Bay Area and places north - are overwhelming in certain target destinations, but the other flow still exists: people moving *to* California. This keeps the machinery running. Population inflow comes from two places primarily: Latin America (illegal aliens mostly) and the East, particularly places like New York and Massachusetts.

The inflow hits California and is usually soft-Left or worse in the first place. There, they incubate and increasingly radicalize. The ones who have been there longer escape the misery by colonizing their neighbors. The process continues. The progressive Californians who move on to colonize another state may well have started out life as New York liberals.

There are also those from places like Venezuela who saw their countries torn apart by socialism.

The best Democrats ever saw with Hispanics was a 2-1 split, and that's turned into a 3-2 split by this point. I may be that second generation Texas Hispanics are simply more conservative than their parents for a variety of reasons, including the fact that they live in a pretty solidly pro-freedom state that promotes itself as such quite aggressively (perhaps slightly out of synch with the actual reality, but marketing).

At least in part, for insurance. Why be confident when you can be sure? On the other side is likely a data vacuum. They have corrupted everything so much - polling, communication, speech, protest, petitioning, etc. - that while they can (probably safely) assume they have it in the bag, there are also increasing numbers of unknown unknowns. They have poisoned the well and created an intelligence vacuum, and cheat by default to offset those factors as well.

So, you're saying that the number of progressives entering the state are greater than the number leaving it? So, if that were the case, wouldn't we expect the number of people fleeing California to be far more conservative? Aren't you just making my point?

Newsom winning is not going to convince more conservatives to stay.

In blue states most of the voters will vote for people they know are corrupt over Republicans. This means they almost always get a far left wacko. This pushes the Overton window left.

In red states though many voters are open to voting for "moderates". After all if some "moderate" D is just a little to the left of you and some firebrand R is far to the right of you the moderate is closer right?

But this leads to congress moving further left then these voters actually want. If there was an opposition party this would be something they would spend time educating the voters in these states on...

No, I'm not. People become progressives as they live in California. It's a cognitive dissonance manufacturing facility and the have absolute control of commanding heights in that state. The people who flee are not just progressives and not just conservatives. It's a mix. They both flee because quality of life sucks donkey balls in a progressive hellscape.

I've not lived through a swell of expatriation in Montana, so if the conservatives - or at least the normals - outnumber the progs there, I'll take their word for it. That was decidedly *not* the case in CO and NM, which were colonized and flipped in short order. AZ is more of a mixed bag, but the effort is well underway there and will likely succeed. Are the expats going to places like NC and TN prog colonists? Don't know yet.

Of course it's a mixed bag, but I'm making the point that the exodus is far more conservative than progressive. Progressives are tied to places as much as conservatives, and they are getting what they want, even if they don't really realize what they want. It's going to make progressives far less likely to decide to move. Considering the differences between influx and outflux as well as the fact that California just keeps getting more progressive by every indication, it seems likely that this exodus is materially different from the one that turned Colorado blue.

Also, I fully believe that Democrats manufactured more than 200,000 votes in AZ to turn in blue. That doesn't tell me that CA's infestations of other states is as profound as implied. The effects are, but the actual seeding isn't. What's the difference? Probably one of semantics, but there is a difference.

While the left is lying about why they support things like mail in voting, the fact they also oppose these other measures show that they are engaged in election fraud is basically every election they are involved with.

One thing we need to do in this space is simplify "adulthood" laws. There should be one age that confers the rights of adulthood - voting, drinking, signing contracts, can't be on parents insurance, not different ages for each.

The latest of those ages is...26...which is dumb, but our society is dumb.

It's far more then semantic. From the standpoint of vote totals it is perhaps an academic distinction but otherwise it isn't. In places where the Progs did colonize (and we'll find out in 5-10 years whether this current exodus wave are Prog colonists or conservatives - I desperately hope it's the latter), the places fell apart. You can steal the elections and the vote but not have your cities fall to ruin and without seeing your social fabric utterly collapse. That will happen in a steal-only effort.

In places where the Progs actually swarm in and flip the place, the entire society decays. Your cities become slums, your property becomes unaffordable, your regulatory and ordinance structures become just like they were in CA, etc. They wreck the place fundamentally.

144 Thomas Lifson makes a very good point in the top link. Bob Woodward is not known for his veracity. Lots of unnamed sources in his book. Maybe even he and Vanilli colluded to write that line to make the general look like a hero. Or Woodward just made it up.

Why are we speculating here to Milley's advantage? If Woodward manufactured a spurious treason charge, Milley should himself say that, and attack Woodward publicly. If Milley wants to say that, I look forward to the argument. Right now, Milley is silent which, to me, says Milley doesn't take issue.

149 Mentioned this on last night's ONT. Thought it was worth sharing with the morning crew...

A bit of a surprise earlier tonight. Mrs Doof and I were watching Inside Edition - hoping they'd have at least some mention of Norm MacDonald. Alas - they did not. But we noticed 2 surprising things as we watched.

1 - they were covering the Met Gala thing and of course showed Donkey Chompers and her "tax the rich" dress. As the reporter was talking, she actually referred to AOC as "The far-left Congresswoman". We both looked at each other in disbelief.

2 - they had an interview with some dude who was married to Britney Spears for 55 hours. They showed footage of him in DC on Jan 6th. The reporter said "here he is at the January 6th Stop the Steal rally in DC". Again we were shocked. They didn't say anything about riots or insurrection.

WTF is going on with Inside Edition?!?! Some actual objective commentary??!!??

Having a dual (or worse, multi-level) age of consent is asinine, infantalizing, inconsistent and stupid. Grown-up but not grown-up is insane and wrong.

One. One age, at which time you're an adult. I don't even much care what it is - 16, 18, 21, 25, whatever - but it's *everything.* Booze, guns, gambling, contracts, marriage, military service, voting - everything. Our multi-faceted age of consent is bonkers and wrong.

They love the idea a general would disobey an elected President and communicate his own foreign policy to the Chinese, because Trump. More importantly, the thought that Milley put the country at enormous risk of a first strike attack by his actions just doesn't occur to them, since they implicitly trust the Chinese military to do the right thing.

Then I got a surprise. The bug was *under* the screen, beneath the outermost piece of glass (or plastic, not sure which it is on this screen) and the actual panel. Now I have a dead bug stuck directly in my primary viewing space. I can dismantle the screen, but the odds of getting it put back together again with proper alignment don't fill me with optimism. I'll try it, but I suspect I'm going to need to replace it if I don't want to live with a dead bug smack dab in an important display region.

How unfortunate.

I hope he shows up because I need to find out what happened to Rich Baris's predictions of over a month ago that his polling, which is usually spot on, said Elder had a better than even chance of prevailing. That got me pumped and I never heard anything in detail from him since then. Barnes predicted last night's outcome on Sunday so I assume Baris subsequently felt likewise and had polling to back it up.

I dumped a lot of sites after November because they were useless, or worse, in informing me. That includes the cowards at American Thinker, which I know offends JJ but Lifson doesn't mean shit to me and never will as long as he fellates Dominion. Just because Sidney Powell and the My Pillow guy employed not smart legal strategies doesn't mean Dominion wasn't balls deep in election corruption and deserves to have their machine dropped on Peking.

But I've been on 80mg/day for months at a time which sucks real bad. It was a treat tapering to 40/day, then 20, etc...

Whenever I get put on it anymore I tell the doc I'm not going to take it without something like valium to calm me down because I feel like punching everyone in the face at the drop of a hat.

Good luck with the taper, and FUCK POISON IVY!

Austin is scheduled to testify to the Senate Armed Services Committee. Where he will respond to many questions with, "You will have to ask the State Department." Just as Blinken deflected to the Defense Department or White House many times in the hearings yesterday and Monday.

I doubt the Junta will allow the head of the CIA, SecState, and SecDef to be jointly questioned by Congress.

The majority that wields political power (and military and police power) may attempt to repress the minority -- the dissenters -- "and democracy might well die," he wrote.

That statement now proves true today despite transposing the terms "majority" and "minority" ...

Because it's a new angle. The new law in Texas is a question of civil liability rather than criminal. It puts abortion clinics and doctors right in the target zone and leaves it up to non-state actors to get the ball rolling. It's an interesting approach and it has the Left terrified that they would need a major new legislative push to ban that kind of law, which would cost a lot of their diminishing political capital (as opposed to just getting the law overturned on existing precedent).

283 What we are seeing now as the Milley disaster blows up, is all the players here who miscalculated (including WAPO, the DNC and the military brass) trying to get their stories straight and figure out who gets the bottom of the bus treatment (hint: Milley).

The press and the DNC (Pelosi) thought that everyone would guffaw that Trump needed babysitting by the adults in the room, and Milley thought he'd be the hero in the this made up drama. Now the WH (the DNC politburo) has figured out that what they thought was a delightful narrative that Salon would crow over about how demented Trump is - turns out to be a truthful message about all their treason. Highly unvaccinated India had a surge in COVID cases earlier this year which abruptly ended following the widespread use of ivermectin, over the objections and criticism of the WHO. In the one state, Tamil Nadu, that did not use ivermectin, cases tripled instead of dropping by 97 percent as in the rest of the country.

The FDA has known from the beginning that early treatment of COVID-19 is essential, yet it chose to ignore India's great success with its initial early treatment protocol that initially included HCQ. However, when the Delta variant arrived in India, it appeared more resistant to HCQ, so India immediately approved and widely distributed a new more potent outpatient COVID kit consisting of Ivermectin, Doxycycline, and Zinc. This less-than-$3 kit quickly reversed the Delta variant death trend there.

Finding the true cost per dose of REGEN-COV proved more elusive; ranging from $10 to $2,100 per dose. Grab your "Good Rx" card, just in case.

REGEN-COV and all the medications used in India appear to work similarly by calming the characteristic overreaction of the body's auto-immune system (cytokine storm) that COVID-19 can trigger in some patients with compromised immune systems. Advanced age is a major factor, notably from Vitamin D deficiency. If the cytokine storm can be controlled early, the immune system can work properly and produce the antibodies that kill the virus.

Regarding the discussion above about who is leaving CA, I can anecdotally report my conservative brother moved to Reno Nevada two years ago, bought a very nice home in a new development where the houses sold in the mid 600,000's and are now worth a million. In his neighborhood most home owners are from CA and are conservative. There are a few lefty's who are from the Bay area escaping the shitty economic and living conditions. Also, I know several conservative families who have moved to Tennessee, Arizona, Texas and Florida in the past two years. From my standpoint, more conservatives are leaving. Not sure about how many lefty's are moving in.

Almost 20 years ago we booted Gray Davis (albeit having your power go out because of hinky electricity deals was very, very concrete. Can't watch the propaganda without power), but I don't see that happening as the additional millions of illegal aliens and their children, along with a further degradation of the forced juvenile propaganda (called public school) have forever changed the political landscape here. It's a shithole, plain and simple, but like many I can't leave due to family, work, and other reasons.
I take some comfort that Elder got the plurality in every county except San Fran (which he missed getting by about 600 votes, at the current tally). I can't believe San Diego voted about 60% No. Then again, it was evident the cheat was on.

You are not going to find any statements from any governments stating any treatment used for COVID is successful, because every government in the world is in on the Plandemic. It would be like wanting to see statements from the Biden Administration that Ivermectin and HCQ are successful in the USA. They have been successful, but no institution in this country is going to make an official statement. Officially, those successful treatments are "not approved" -- and in some cases, outright banned -- in the USA. Even though they work.

So I'm not sure what you expect to find for "official government statements". You are never going to find any. All the data is out there, but every government institution in the world is censoring it.

385 I had a relative visit from CA long term. They had a mail in ballot and they didnt know what it was really for as they hadnt opened it yet. Keep in mind this person works on national energy policy for livermore labs and the federal govt. This person has a doctorate degree in engineering. They have not been paying attention to the fact there was even a recall election.

They left town without the ballot and i called them to say they forgot it. They said to just throw it away.

I really ulcerated about voting myself, but ultimately didnt because i felt it was wrong. Even if the other side would have had no problem doing it.

But it just goes to show how crappy an all mail in ballot system is. Somehow that a person living 1500 miles from CA could have unrestricted access to a mail in ballot and could vote with the only thing from a safety perspective is how well i could sign someone elses name.

Imagine trying to live on a planet where there is no liquid water and no ability to create fire because the atmosphere cannot support combustion.

I like it here on Earth: I can breathe; I can warm myself; and we can smelt metal from ore using fire.

These abilities are unique to Earth and so taken for granted.

387 CA abolished the secret ballot. The mail-in ballot envelope has the name of the voter and it's easy to tell how they voted. Shine a flashlight through it. For many counties, the holes in the envelope line up so that you can see just by looking at the envelope whether someone voted "yes" or "no."

This makes it extremely easy to cheat. You don't need to write a special computer program, you don't need 100 coconspirators to help you seed the program into voting machines, you don't need 10 or 20 people to work together to get suitcases full of ballots into a ballot scanning site to count at midnight. A big conspiracy like that is hard to cover up. Any person might rat on you, or part of it can happen in front of security cameras, etc.

With this, it's easy for anyone to delete "yes" votes. Plus they send out 2x as many ballots as voters. For every deleted vote, they have the voter's name and signature on the envelope. With a spare ballot, they can fill that out to make a replacement vote. Dems make it easy for anybody to cheat and trust that their people will cheat.

They will never stop with mail-in ballots, they will never go back to holding fair elections.

I think Trump WANTS to take on Newsom in 2024.

If we stop enough of the fraud in the battleground states before that election, Trump should win easily.

Regarding CA, let it secede from the USA, and let the red counties there secede from CA at the same time and form new state to replace it.

Posted by: Sapwolf at September 15, 2021 01:46 PM (TGWA4)

389 The Dems have coopted and revised the old saying on our side "if it isn't close, they cant cheat." The Dems say "if you cheat enough, it wont be close and nobody will say you cheated."
