The Morning Report - 9/3/21

vaxmand.jpg

Good morning, kids. The weekend is here and the remnants of the nation formerly known as the United States of America continue crumbling into dust as a result of Joe Biden "transitioning" the Pax Americana into the Pox Red China via the disastrous Afghanistan bug-out. We'll address that in a moment but a big story which had been bubbling under almost undetected for the last few months has now burst to the fore. With the truly surprising Supreme Court decision to deny hearing the case of the Texas heartbeat bill, a potential real pathway to overturning Roe v. Wade now presents itself. Regardless of whether or not that will actually happen, the Left, as well as the frauds of CON-servative Inc. have gone absolutely apoplectic. And with Joey Soft-Serve's brain and illegitimate presidency melting faster than two scoops of Ben & Jerry's Joo-Hate Ripple in the hands of Belloch exposed to the Ark of the Covenant, this issue, at least in Biden's handlers eyes presents itself as a desperately needed political lifeline.

The Texas law, which took effect Wednesday, allows individuals to sue abortionists and those who aid a woman in obtaining the abortion of an unborn baby with a beating heart . . .

. . . [So-called quote-unquote "president"] Biden's statement, published Thursday, characterized the abortion of a baby with a beating heart as a "private and personal" health decision.

"Complete strangers will now be empowered to inject themselves in the most private and personal health decisions faced by women," Biden said in his statement.

"The Supreme Court's ruling overnight is an unprecedented assault on a woman's constitutional rights under Roe v. Wade, which has been the law of the land for almost fifty years," said Biden.

"By allowing a law to go into effect that empowers private citizens in Texas to sue health care providers, family members supporting a woman exercising her right to choose after six weeks, or even a friend who drives her to a hospital or clinic, it unleashes unconstitutional chaos and empowers self-anointed enforcers to have devastating impacts," he said.

Nota bene the words of the drooling rutabaga's teleprompter as I will come back to that in a moment. The Left went utterly apeshit, even going so far as to virtually excommunicate and condemn in absentia one of its holiest of holy apostles:

Remember Ruth Bader Ginsburg? Of course you do. The heroine, the pioneer, the voice of reason. The Notorious RBG. And, it would appear, a traitor to the cause of abortion.

It is a typical leftist move. Things don't go the way you want, find someone to blame. Along with the usual suspects such as Republicans, pro-lifers, Texans, you, me, Grand Moff Tarkin and the republic of Gilead, the Left is eating its own by claiming that the SCOTUS abortion decision would have been avoided had Ginsburg retired during the Obama years, allowing him to name her replacement. And they are doing it with their usual style and class with comments such as:

"Ruth Bader Ginsburg's categorical refusal to retire brought us here. So thanks you old dead white bitch." One commenter even referred to her as Ruth Vader Ginsburg. I had to chuckle a little bit at that one. Still another essentially blamed her for opening the door for the appointment of Amy Coney Barrett.

And so the people who had at one time heralded Ginsburg as a trailblazer have in an instant consigned her to the dustbin of history for something that happened long after she had gone to her reward, no matter what that may be. Ruth Bader Ginsburg just got canceled. Post mortem. . .

. . . But never fear, kids. Grandma Pelosi is in the house and promising to fix the problem legislatively, because, you know, separation of powers and democracy. And stuff. Specifically, she said that she may bring the Women's Health Protection Act to the House floor in the near future. But one can say that they didn't see that coming. You didn't even need a Magic 8-Ball for that. . .

. . . The Left loved Ruth Bader Ginsburg until it was convenient to hate her. The Left loves our form of government until one branch or another does not do what it wants. If one branch does not do what is expected of it, then it is time to concentrate power in a branch the Left controls. The republic (which is what we are, not a democracy) is whatever the Left says it is at any given time.

I will get to those highlighted sentences in a bit, but let me Psaki-Psircle back to the previous pull quotes from Fingers and how it may offer an interesting argument in terms of that other persistent pox plaguing us for almost two years: the 0.06% lethal Chinese Lung AIDS and the 100% lethal tyranny it has engendered. So, Biden's teleprompter/wrist radio claims:

"Complete strangers will now be empowered to inject themselves in the most private and personal health decisions . . . The Supreme Court's ruling overnight is an unprecedented assault on a woman's constitutional rights under Roe v. Wade, which has been the law of the land for almost fifty years."

The most private and personal health decisions, he says. Constitutional rights, he says. And just what are those constitutional rights? Well according to Justices William Brennan and Harry Blackmun (pig-piss be upon them) they declared that there was an actual Constitutional right to privacy that although not written was indeed implied in that document and so by extension, a right for a woman to kill her baby in utero. Believe me; the two of them and their abuse of their oaths are every bit as abominable as infanticide, but that said it allow us to hoist the left on its own petard. If there is an inalienable "right to privacy" in the Constitution that prevents the government from imposing its will on me vis a vis my private health decisions, then by extension, it should also mean that my inalienable right to privacy prevents the government from forcing me to have a Chinese COVID injection and more importantly from demanding of others that I prove that I got it. SHOULD being the operative word here.

And that brings me to Psaki-Psircle back to my highlighted sentences in the Ruth Bader Meinhoff excerpt.

"The republic (which is what we are, not a democracy) is whatever the Left says it is at any given time."

We can try all we want to play games with them but they have rigged the game, the rules, the league and everything associated with it, since January 6th perhaps for all time. As Rush Limbaugh, Peace Be Upon Him, always used to say, the Left is not interested in leveling the playing field; they want to clear the playing field of all opposition.

Finally, that returns us back to where we started: Afghanistan and perhaps the single greatest foreign policy disaster in our now concluded history:

Only one man lost his job over Afghanistan. Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller challenged Biden's incompetent and spineless Joint Chiefs of Staff to take responsibility for their dereliction of duty that led directly to the catastrophe in Afghanistan. Taking responsibility meant resigning. Biden's military men immediately smeared him as mentally ill and forced him out of the Marines.

Biden is directly responsible for the worst, most humiliating, most dangerous -- yet completely avoidable -- defeat in the history of American warfare. He has betrayed the country that elected him and that he is sworn to serve. Yet Biden has shown no remorse and taken no responsibility for the damage he has done. Instead, he has brazenly lied and called his own actions a "success." As for his allies, he has blamed the Afghan military, the Afghan president and, of course, his adversary Donald Trump for the mess he single-handedly created. Hundreds are already dead and legions of unknown and uncountable others await death from terrorists whom Biden has freed, empowered and armed.

Meanwhile, Biden and the Joint Chiefs are busily covering up their disloyalty and incompetence. They are not going to resign. Biden is not going to fire the generals who should have gone to the wall to oppose his brainless decisions, and resigned when they failed to reverse them. These decisions were so bad that former British prime minister and staunch American ally Tony Blair has called them "imbecilic." No former head of state has ever used such an extreme -- but accurate -- term to describe the decisions of an American president. . .

. . . An American president and commander-in-chief loyal to his country and its citizens would never have made the decisions that Joe Biden did, which have put every American's life at risk. A loyal general staff would never have gone along with them. A decent set of leaders would have hung their heads in shame at the result of their decisions, and been grateful that treason is no longer punished by firing squads, and departed political and military life forever.

The first days of Biden's misbegotten term in office should have warned everyone of what was to come when he began surrendering American interests to our enemies. . .

. . . The Biden [junta] is a disloyal government that over and over has genuflected to America's enemies and betrayed the American people, endangering their lives and the security of the nation. But while the whole Democrat Party goes along with these anti-America policies and the catastrophes they create, instead of holding them to account GOP leaders are playing their usual feckless roles, wasting their opportunity to nail the incompetent and disloyal president, along with his entire rotten [junta] to the wall. Thus, House Minority Leader McCarthy has refused to move forward on Biden's impeachment. . .

. . . Joseph R. Biden is the worst president and the worst human being to ever occupy the White House. His ill will towards the country he leads is written all over his [junta] -- the invasion of millions of unvetted foreigners from 100 countries, many of whom are [Chinese] COVID carrying, sex trafficking, drug dealing criminals. Out of control crime, making the streets of our cities unsafe is also a direct result of Democrat policies and criminal Democrat prosecutors and district attorneys. Bankrupting the economy with a $5 trillion socialist scheme, orchestrated by Bernie Sanders, a life-long supporter of Communist dictatorships, whose intent is to make every American dependent on government and beholden to federal bureaucrats is what the Democrats were working on late into the night in the Capitol as Americans died in Kabul.

Patriots should never forget this, and never let Americans forget as well. Afghanistan is a holograph of America's future if Democrat policies prevail. It fell because of the treachery of the Democrat Party in selecting a dementia case and judgement-challenged politician to be [so-called quote-unquote "president"].

Let me start off by stating unequivocally that I have the greatest respect and admiration for Messrs. Horowitz and Greenfield. Each are among the most vital thinkers to the movement, mission and in reality war to restore America. But I have to question the usefulness, though certainly not the justifiable righteousness, of impeaching Joey Bidet. The problem is the other side has destroyed America and its institutions in its 100-year bid to obtain absolute power. So, even if there was the political will to impeach and then convict him and it succeeded, that leaves us with, what exactly? Veep Throat Harris?

The only way out of this is to remove every single Democrat in Congress, every non-originalist on the judiciary, every leftist in the entire bureaucracy (especially the DOD, DOJ and intel agencies) and ensure that they never ever are allowed to hold elective office. That means of course a revolution since relying on the Constitution to wrest power back from people who have led a multi-generation campaign to destroy it in the first place is a fool's errand. Even in defeat, they use our freedoms as the very weapons with which to take them away.

In point of fact, impeachment is a wrist slap for Biden and many others who either with malice aforethought or ideologically-driven incompetence/recklessness allowed the Pax Americana to be destroyed. They are guilty of TREASON. And there is a specific penalty for that.

America as founded was mortally wounded last November and then had the plug pulled on January 6th. Our culture and society have been turned upside down from nearly 60 or more years of Marxist brainwashing.

Not that I'm against it but the reality is an impeachment of Biden would at best be a symbolic act. The only way to even attempt to get our nation and society back is going to require us to have to do things that will test our morality and beliefs in unimagined ways. And even then, the situation is very much in doubt. G-d help us all.

Have a good weekend.

Roe v Wade never had a single thing to do with the constitution. It was a stretch on a previous ruling the court had made on an obscure MA law on birth control.

Hello Mr. Poppins. How are you feeling this morning?
Posted by: grammie winger at September 03, 2021 06:31 AM (45fpk)

Still have the pain, grammie. Went to the ER yesterday and they all think it's shingles, but since I had the symptoms for over 2 weeks, any medicine wouldn't be of help. OTC lidocaine patches and ibuprofen recommended and then follow up with my PCP on the regularly-scheduled visit next Thursday.

At least I know I didn't crack a rib or have anything wrong with my heart, anyway.

Think bigger, JJ. Much, much bigger. The vaccine question is perhaps, in relative scale, a moon-sized consideration within a galaxy-sized problem.

If there is a right to privacy, what about the full-scale metadata collection and analysis? What about FISA, which is not only a grotesque violation of the 4th Amendment but also for privacy in general? What about full communications collection subject to unmasking? What about collaboration between the state and the telecom industry on things like mobile phone location data? What about collaboration between the state and Big Tech on internet data collection? What about collaboration between the state and Big Finance on financial transaction tracking? This is an enormous problem and contradiction.

I'll accept that as true. It is also thanks to something else, though: the dereliction of the UK armed forces. We left a lot of equipment behind (for the Afghan Army, wink-wink), but if the helicopters we abandoned to the enemy outnumbers the UK's fleet, that is also on them - especially as the owners of one of Europe's only "real" armed forces.

Not directly, I don't think. This is the problem with being post-law and post-standards. It's all absurdly wrong and illegal, but it doesn't matter. The rulings mean whatever they want them to mean. I think that this facet of the rot - the comprehensive panopticon - will go on for as long as the system at this point. The system, the specific abuses and its criminally complicit intelligentsia will all meet their ends more or less simultaneously.

66 The only way to even attempt to get our nation and society back is going to require us to have to do things that will test our morality and beliefs in unimagined ways. And even then, the situation is very much in doubt. G-d help us all.

--

It is in doubt. It really hinges on just how many people are aware of the terrible peril we're in. Most critically, we no longer have valid elections. Our votes are worthless. And they'll remain so until fraud is rooted out and stopped. And even after the glaring catastrophe of Nov. 3rd and the ensuing days, I don't see much mass movement to correct those problems. We can't even mount pressure campaigns to get rid of Dominion machines. If we don't restore election integrity, and prosecute everyone who commits voter fraud to the fullest extent possible, there is no hope. And that's just for starters.

Sure. I'm not anti-vax. I have many of them. I am opposed to *this* one based on its hurried development, hurried trial, hurried approval, absence of control group, political game-playing, the civil and human rights considerations, the efficacy and side effect data coming from places like Israel and the UK, the history of coronavirus vaccines and probability of problems like ADE, my personal risk profile, etc.

But those are nuances that don't work in the soundbite battle. So I guess I'm just "anti-vax" now. This came up at work yesterday on a meeting. One of my colleagues said the vax doesn't work (and he's largely right, from what we can see) and my boss went on a general defense of vaccination and said something like, "that's an odd position from a guy who doesn't have Polio."

No, it isn't. It isn't all-or-nothing. We are humans with minds. We can draw distinctions and act with discernment. You can acknowledge that a society needs schools while arguing that *our* schools are awful. It isn't a "one good, all good" or "one bad, all bad" childish scenario.

80 The "greatest foreign policy disaster" is yet to fully unfold.

What the Biden junta is doing is a historic abandonment of our entire middle east strategy and allies. Egypt, they want to give to the MB. Abandon SA (did you see the Saudis, shockingly, signed a military treaty with Russia last week?). Make Iran the lead ally.

Ultimately, they want to make Israel muslim, split between Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north.

102 What you have to understand about Roe v. Wade is that it is as sound a "legal" decision" as Dredd Scott.
It invented this mystical right to privacy in the Constitution--that ONLY applies to abortion, as we all know.
And then it made up, whole clothe, this "viability framework" that was merely magic divineing by those lawyers, which they imposed upon medicine.

But, that was really just a phony, a fig leaf to pretend they would allow restrictions based upon science (ha! See how long the left has been pulling the "trust the science" lie?). Which, as we've learned, was a flat-out lie: They intended no restrictions.

This Texas law was written to directly attack the poor legal reasons undying Roe. The proponents understand Roe better than your average Ivy League law professor.

How about the twenty years of espionage conducted through Senator Feinstein? How about freaking McTurtle's wife, a Communist Chinese operative, who was a cabinet level official in the Trump administration?

The former US is riddled with CCP operatives and spies. The fool who crafted that article is projecting that this is some stupid Hollywood movie where its OK to cause billions of dollars of damage and a have a swath of death and destruction because your estranged spawn was kidnapped.

The Junta Hates America. Xi Jining said "Get The Hell Out NOW" and they got the Hell out now.

134 I've been failing to do my weekly local news watching recently. I rectified that today and subjected myself to thirty minutes of local news on the TV this morning.

It's wildly different that it was three weeks ago. In thirty minutes, there was a college football segment, a "tailgate treats" segment, coverage of a local food festival, traffic, weather and a product launch announcement masquerading as "news." Nothing on the 'Rona. Nothing on Afghanistan. Nothing on the administration. Nothing on education. Nothing on the economy.

It's like they've pivoted from the continuous disaster drumbeat to just reporting on nothing (at least for the local CBS affiliate).

Polis is a small man of average intelligence who lacks a moral compass. He's not advocating a low-tax structure, he's advocating an arbitrary punishment-tax structure. Much easier that way. And I am sure it wasn't his idea - he is filled by the same reservoirs as the other communists (Soros, et. al.).

150 Polis is also a piss-poor politician. When he was a representative, my rural, deeply conservative county was disenfranchised by being gerrymandered into his urban district. He was involved in the gerrymander (unofficially, of course).

We were both at an event and both running late on departure. I ended up sharing an elevator car with him and his aid. He put on his fake smile and introduced himself. I said, "Oh, I know who you are, Polis. You were involved int he gerrymander that disenfranchised my neighbors and me by lumping us into your Boulder district. I imagine you've seen a map and know how underhanded and insensible that was."

No response. None. It was hugely controversial when they did that, and he didn't even have an elevator speech (literally) at the ready to address it. That means he probably never got push-back about it personally.

And, if there's anything we learned from those horrific undercover Planned Parenthood videos, it's that there is big money in orgon sales from late term abortion, and that it is often the case that they start harvesting these organs while the baby is still alive.

Keep this in mind in the coming days and weeks ahead as these ghouls screech about how awful this abortion bill. What really makes them mad is that it kills Planned Parenthood's profitable organ harvesting side business -- that funds Democrat candidates at all levels of government.

209 Remember how "health, safety and welfare of the mother" really is just "welfare?" And welfare is really just "whatever she feels like no questions allowed?"
But it's a polite fiction, even that low bar: The truth is, it's money.

But, we can't have a law that says, "if the mother can't afford it, she's allowed to abort it." Because then only the poors will be able to get abortion. And Roe is 100% a rich woman's safety valve.

This law puts the burden on the mother: What is the welfare need that requires this death?
That's what has the left in such a horror: This now has to be litigated. By a woman who has suffered damages. And what will be her "welfare" harmed, that she has suffered damages? Money.

210 They actually had the guts to call baby killing a "constitutional right". That was the basis of their argument. That the Texas law was a way of subverting your "right" to kill a child. The irony of these same people supporting forced or coerce vaccinations is just too much to bear. Is this how it is now- they will pick and choose which medical decisions the state can make for you?

216 Prior to 2014, women who purchased their own health insurance were often completely out of luck if they wanted to have coverage for maternity.

The ACA has been a game-changer for individual health insurance, and maternity coverage is one of the areas where the changes are most pronounced. Maternity care is one of the TEN essential health benefits that must be included on all new individual and small group policies.

Money is a part of it, but I disagree that it's at the root core of the matter. I think your initial point - "whatever she feels like" and how nicely that dovetails with dominant feminist ideology - is a more powerful effect. This is especially true when it integrates so cleanly with the ruling class desires for eugenics, population control, organ harvesting (especially for longevity purposes for themselves), etc. The money on its own isn't very large. I imagine that absent other factors, Planned Parenthood would probably be as profitable as the average dentist's office - not nothin' by any means, but not a globally-significant money machine either.

Posted by: Huck Follywood at September 03, 2021 07:36 AM (ggASZ)"

They invited challenges, which will come, in order to clarify specific aspects of the law. But they will need to be pretty inventive to overcome some of what was written in that order. I don't see how they avoid denying a specific right of action for abortions. That's why the dissent was pushing it as a "constitutional right". They want to use that as a wedge to say baby killing is different and should be exempt. But I dont think that will fly in the end, mostly because the majority believe, rightly, that Roe is based on very flimsy legal reasoning and this will open up and expose that flaw.

So the number came in at 33% of consensus. Compare that to the ADP print from a bit earlier. For August, ADP modeled +374k against a consensus of 638k. ADP data came in at about 59% of consensus.

So the BLS print is far, far worse than the ADP print. This implies that there was wider damage and lower growth in areas ADP doesn't serve - namely small business, with higher growth in larger sectors. This is also reflected in the initial BLS print. BLS is subject to more revisions as more data come in and make the model better (theoretically, though I reckon there's a lot of manipulation, too), but the two numbers are telling us the same thing: small businesses are stagnating and not adding employees, while large businesses are doing okay but don't need - and can't absorb - everyone that small business *should* be hiring.

And Israel has one of the most vaccinated populations in the world.About 60% of the nation's entire population of 9.3 million has received at least one vaccine dose, reported Reuters. Among adults, about 85% have been vaccinated which means that Israel's vaccinated community is five times larger than its unvaccinated community.

The dirty secret about abortion is that is is very profitable business, whose profits are then spent on Democrat candidates. A thought I had moments ago: Joe wants a Nobel Peace Prize. This is part of his motivation for his total withdrawal. He wants it for ego, in more ways than one: He can tell Barack that he EARNED it. I expect Joe's 9/11 speech will be filled with statements about how he brought peace to A-stan and ended US fighting wars for the past twenty years. Lies. But that won't stop him.

318 I posted this late last night about the NYPost's Tree of life story. This was further down in the article:

The president went on to reflect on his daughter Ashley Biden marrying a Jewish surgeon, Howard Krein, in 2012 and to recount his conversations with the late Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir.

"My daughter married a Jewish young man. And, you know, it's the dream of every Catholic father that she married a Jewish doctor," Biden joked.

"We had a chuppah on the altar... Now some of you aren't gonna like this, but it was co-officiated by a Catholic priest as well as a Jewish rabbi."

Biden said that his only request was for "my favorite hymn" to be played at the wedding -- "On Eagle's Wings" --but that he was unpleasantly surprised when the ceremony instead played "Hava Nagilah."

"I only asked one thing... And they played, and my mind is going blank now, what's the song that is played where everybody is on the chair? I can't remember it. Anyway, but that's the song that was played," Biden recounted.

348 Reading that Greenfield piece on sleazy Joe Biden's use of his dead son as a prop, I recall thinking years ago, when I first saw that photo of Biden taking his senate oath beside his kid's bed in the hospital, days after the car accident, what a selfish jerk this guy is.

The oath of office only takes a few minutes to do. Biden could easily have done it at the Capitol, since he was making trips into D.C. to set up his new office anyway. But that wouldn't have been nearly as dramatic as having photographers and reporters come to his son's hospital bed, where he could pretend that he never left his son's side. What kind of parent exposes their vulnerable, injured young son, grieving for his dead mother and dead sister, to that kind of circus, just to score political points?

Biden also could have chosen to have the oath administered in the hospital, but not in his son's room. He could have done it in the hospital chapel, or in an empty patient room, or in a doctor's lounge, or any number of other places where he would not have needed to disturb his son or use him as a prop. But Biden just couldn't resist the urge to make it all about himself.

Wouldn't it be easier for TX women who don't want pregnancies to just . . . use birth control while having sex? Or is that just too damn inconvenient for them? Far more economical for federal taxpayers to fund a fleet of traveling doctors to go to TX, set up shop all over the state, and scrape babies out of the wombs of women who couldn't be bothered to use the many various types of pregnancy prevention that are offered for sale everywhere.

I felt the same anger at the article moaning about the pervert who needed "treatment".
