Teacher Who Vowed "I Have Only 180 Days to Turn You Into Revolutionaries" Suspended (with Pay), Supposedly On Way to Being Fired

I'll believe it when I see it.

John Sexton at Hot Air also notes that the teacher who took down the American flag and told a student to say the pledge of allegiance to the gay flag instead has been relieved of duties.

Temporarily. Pending the conclusion of an investigation.

An investigation that they're only conducting because of public backlash about explicit leftwing indoctrination in the classroom. Below, a picture of American flags having been planted in front of the school by parents and kids protesting this little Sexual Communist ****.

At worse, she'll just be recycled to another district. That's how teachers unions have rigged the discipline system -- molest a student, and they'll just move you to a district where you haven't molested students. Yet.

Gabriel Gipe, the guy who gives you higher grades for going to leftwing extremist rallies and lower grades for declining to do so, has been suspended -- with pay, of course! -- and supposedly is in the process of being fired.

John Sexton looked at the school district's website for information about this. What he found was a lot of bullshit excuses as to why this guy had been permitted to run a Semi-Covert Antifa Boot-Camp for Children on the taxpayer dime.

The excuses include "he must have put up the antifa flag and flag of Chairman Mao just this summer" (which began June 21) and "the current principal has only been at this school for 13 days."

Um-- what about the previous one?

Sexton also watched the video feed of a school board meeting:

Just watching some of the school board meeting and there are indeed a lot of upset parents. One man whose daughter was in the class taught by Mr. Gipe said that the first thing he said at the beginning of the class was the same thing he said in the video: "I have 180 days to turn you into revolutionaries."

Even then it was all centered around group think, feelings, and reaching to the lowest common denominator in the group you were teaching and staying there, regardless of what the other students levels of understanding was. Until the student with the least grasp of the subject was able to articulate it, the rest of the class be damned. Because it wasn't fair.

Friends of mine in NYC would beg to differ on the private option. Dalton, Grace, Dwight, St Ann's, Sacred Heart - some of the most expensive schools in the country - are liberal indoctrination factories. Don't get me started on Harvard Westlake in Los Angeles. In short, be very, very careful about which private schools you choose for your kids.

Yep. One of my kids goes to one of the best schools in in the country if you go by national rankings. But it only gets an A- on Niche (A+ is the highest grade), because the diversity rating is a lowly C+. Never mind that virtually everyone who graduates goes to a top college. My view on education majors is that they take the tried and true methods of education to teach them how to use completely ridiculous new methods of teaching when they actually get employed. See my favorite example of my fresh out of college high school American history teacher that thought a good portion of our grade should be determined by our "responses" to our notes. Raising kids can be tough and tiring, but also deeply rewarding and joyful....and fun.
My two sons are grown men now, and they have both turned out ok. Not perfect, but I am so proud of both of them, for trying to lead a good life. And despite being rivals and brothers and fighting with each other (even now), they are also each others best friends, and always have each other's back.
Possibly the only really important thing I have done in my whole life.

Yeah it can often be cheaper to buy in an area with shitty school and send kids to private schools. There are places that are nice but have shitty schools for a variety or reasons. Part of it is, counterintuitively, is because parents send to private school so the schools get shitty, while the 'hood stays nice, populated with people who can afford the private school tuition.

Charted school my kids were going to last 4 years were just as woke or worse than the local public schools since they have even less state oversight. I could never understand the group of parents that went thorough extraordinary lengths to get he school chartered and running and then chose to bring in all the same woke garbage that has ruined the public schools and even go out of their way to recruit illegals and urban thugs. A lot of the childless women I met of my generation did it so they could be "career women". Often the husband had kids with a second wife after she turned 40. Now I see more couples insisting that they do it "to save the planet". There is also the "one and done" group, and it is a group and it does try to push an agenda. They even have membership groups in "one and done" clubs.

221 My wife manages an office and one of the girls there was graduating a Kalifornian University (UCSB) and she wanted to get in the teaching program to get whatever teachers get to indoctrinate. Wife says she will look over her essay to proof and edit it for her. Wife showed me her essay that I would think she spent a considerable amount of time on. OMG, it was like an eighth grader wrote it and this girl had just graduated a university. Look I'm an engineer and, as you can tell am certainly not a writer, but even I could see the terrible grammar and structure mistakes.

So wife just suggest some minor changes because the whole essay should be round filed and she didn't want to upset her. I'm sure she got in as she had all the right leftist viewpoints to indoctrinate the young minds.

233 It's a bit silly, and insulting, to assume that parents who don't homeschool or send kids to private schools are jetting to Europe and driving Lexuses. I work. My wife works. Our family can't live on my salary alone, or my wife's for that matter. We do most of our grocery shopping at Aldi and buy the majority of our clothes at thrift shops. My wife's car is 10 years old, my truck is 5 years old, and we plan on keeping them as long as we can keep them running. A decent private school around here is going to *start* around $10k, and those tuitions range up to $25k for the fancy ones. I don't care what I cut back on, I cannot afford $20k+ for private schools.

We couldn't have done it either-send kid to a private school, but I did homeschool son for several years and I think as long as you're proactive about what's coming home and what the books they're using, and talking to your children and writing notes to the teacher when needed you're doing a whole lot more than many parents do.

Most private schools are just as bad. Gramscian March, and all. The Communists didn't ignore them on the way up. My goal is to be able to homeschool by the time V is school-age.

That said - the point is moot. The government taxes everyone for their schools on the grounds that the taxpayer has a positive interest in an educated populace. As such, the schools have a responsibility to educate the kids in a way that is productive and reflects the values of the taxpayers.

It is not acceptable that the kids can't read and have to stand daily for A Salute to Buggery and Communism. All the teachers should be in chains. Not just this guy.

291 So, in Japan teachers are regularly shuffled around. Each year they announce which teachers are moving to a new school, on orders from the district. This keeps all the schools competent and prevents "empire building."

Also, in Japan the kids clean up the school after lunch. They clean chalkboards, toilets, wipe floors, etc. The older kids are in charge of helping and managing the younger kids. The teachers stand aside and it is a madhouse as they rush to get it all done in about 15 minutes.

Also, they have parent events, like sports days and stuff, and they serve cafeteria food. The kids do the food prep, serving, and work the cash registers. It is an honor to move to the "front of the house." but since there are a lot of kids it is kind of funny to see them fight to take orders and help guests.

I could go on. It is a different world here. Lots more independence expected of kids.

We do. A major reason why we moved this summer was because our school system, long considered the best in the area, has been hurtling towards wokeness for the past few years. We moved to a more rural and much more conservative county, though I realize that there are still going to be woketards burrowed into the school staffs. They can't get away with as much here because there is a large contingent of conservative parents who are very involved.

You get to choose your priorities. DH and I both work, we cannot live on one salary, and yet we manage to send the boy to Catholic school. Last year I homeschooled him, which is cheaper, but comes with a lot more responsibility. And yes, I worked full time while doing it.

If you really cannot find the cash, then ask for assistance. There is plenty from Catholic schools. There is usually a scholarship fund or someone can sponsor your kid. I have never seen a Catholic school turn down a student becuase of money.

328 Private schools aren't a sliver bullet. Our kid was going to a private Christian school and we took her out last year because they are going woke. The school got rid of almost their whole executive staff and replaced them with an outfit from ATL. There was an incident where some of the top people were screaming at parents and employees in the parking lot that happened to have a TRUMP sticker on their car. They are in the process of removing all connections the school had with their supporting church and most of the parents probably don't even know.

So we're losing an income with homeschooling and the homeschooling supplies aren't cheap if you want the good stuff. Everything is a pain and a burden. But if parents found a way to make their public school districts work for them well good. I would have done the same. But being that I live in Savannah I have access mostly to some of the worst public ed in the country. Anything better, public wise, requires a lottery that we had no chance of winning.

There was never a real point besides that. I'm 64, and when I was a kid, the basic mechanics of it were taught by the MD or the RN at about age 11, as girls were about to start menstruating and it was decided that they needed a few lessons. We were handed books to read and looked at plastic anatomy models. This was often done one to one, but my family sent me and my two same age cousins together. Even back then in the dark ages, we knew all this already, except maybe the hormones' names.

I'm a CA lawyer who represents school districts. My firm helps our clients fire a lot of bad employees. The suspension with pay & investigation is part of the due process required by state law. Thank the CA teachers' unions and the legislators they have in their pocket for that.

But given the political shitstorm this has engendered, the district will probably terminate the creep. Remember the teacher in SoCal who insulted the military in class? That district found a bunch of reasons to fire his ass once it hit national news.

I was a boxing dad for almost 10 years, taking my boy to amateur bouts in a three-state radius, training with him, running with him. Jake won the state amateur championship two times, when he was 8 and then again when he was 17. Some of the best memories of my life. If my granddaughter gets interested enough to want to find a gym and compete, I'm ready to do it again. I'll just be slower at it. Much slower.

I thought he had a chance, but I see now that all the major media outlets are saying its a done deal - Gruesome wins out over recall...this means that the shock troops needed to harvest fraudulent ballots that had deserted them earlier in certain Latino districts in SoCal have been replaced by hard core national Dem operatives...that and their victory in court to have voting be counted over a week after election day assures their ability to stay ahead...I think its over.
