This should generate news: Biden claimed that he told all of his European allies of his decision to withdraw (did he mention he would do it haphazardly and precipitously?) at the G7 meeting, and they all "agreed" with his decision. Angela Merkel has already said she doesn't agree with the decision. We'll see if what the European leaders say about this claim that they "agreed" with Biden's decision. He's now forced the media to ask them about this. I want to know if this is a real thing that happened or another confabulation by a dementia-ridden brain.

I think just like the Dominion vote, they have an algorithm to remove downvotes, but it can't keep up with the actual number. At this point, they've made about 4x the standard believable number, when it's probably double that.
Back when this first started, they were trying to do algorithms for the entire thing rather than manually adjusting which is what they do now. However, they wound up removing number of views and upvotes along with the undesirable downvotes. They've had 8 months to get it right. Check again later today and then tomorrow and you'll see some very different numbers.

I think it was Cotton the other day who said something about another tactical mistake was not having an ordered withdrawal before fighting season began. I know people want to scoffaw at that , but Cotton explained that in Afghanistan, the winters are so brutal in many areas that the fighters simply hole up . Once the weather breaks, the party is on, and we have learned that over the years there when to expect an increase in insurrgency. Current season is full on fighting season, which the US military used to be prepared for with intelligence and troops. Instead we walked out.

Its simple because his character is a simple man but it was so powerful and true. It made the movie something even better than it was, by showing all those gunmen knew and understood who they were and who they were not. It explains why they defended this village in the first place.

Yes. I was part of the S-3 for 3D LAR BN. We routinely set our command post forward of the main body (moving 1-2 times a day/night) We had SOP on how to destroy any equipment in case our position was overrun. Almost every training op in the field included that scenario.
So there is NO excuse to leave any of our own equipment behind in working order.

Our Pentagon expected the Afghan army to stay in place and die covering while we withdrew, which of course, they did not, as it was suicide. Thus, the 'unexpected' collapse.
But this is all being directed by Pakistan. Remember, they are the ones who HID Bin Laden himself from us.

Yeah, that is highly probable. In my scenario and yours, the root cause of the current snafu is Joe believing he could skedaddle all US forces before 9/11 and have at least four months to leisurely evac US civilians and our Afghan translators and other assistants.
