Top Story

Researchers have taken a closer look at Apple's Neural Hash - the one they'll use to throw you in jail for child porn - and have already generated a hash collision. (GitHub)

A hash collision is where two totally different sets of data produce identical results when run through a particular algorithm.

This is the 1-in-a-trillion chance Apple was talking about.

Apple now says this is not the real algorithm, which totally doesn't have this problem, and that they'll also use a second algorithm to double-check before throwing you to the wolves. You wouldn't know the second algorithm, it lives in Canada.

Reading some more shit about the Taliban. They captured some Afghan interpreter for us in Kabul. He had some sort of US DoD ID. They burned that ID into his chest. Then they chopped his arms off.

While bleeding out, they killed his family, brutally, in front of him. They spared the life of his youngest daughter, 10 yrs old. His last sight was of that daughter becoming a "wife" of the Taliban.

That said, I'm grateful for skunks. One dug a hole in my backyard and demolished a nest of yellow jackets a few nights ago. Turns out they love to destroy their nests and eat the grubs inside. The poor remnant that was left simply abandoned the hive.

Same here about 2 weeks ago. I had discovered the nest by getting stung by a young YG. Nothing too bad. I proceeded to use roach powder on the nest.
The next morning as I was planning my future no prisoners campaign, I walk out to the nest and there's a big hole, with 2 or 3 flying around. I noticed a few grubs on in the dirt. I applied more powder in layers and shoveled the dirt back in the hole.
Next morning, The whole thing was dug up again.

So I left it. Figured the skunks knew what to do.
